I'm back, and I hope you enjoy this chapter.

Chapter 11

Meanwhile, on Sodor, a large diesel was rolling fast down the line towards the Ironworks. But on the back roof of the diesel, was Junior.

"I'm sorry Lily; I'm sorry Cuz I haven't been whatever it is; responsible, reliable or really useful; BUT I WILL BE, I WILL BE" he screamed as the diesel flew into the steaming red Ironworks.

But then Junior saw that the diesel was heading towards a large red engine, and a teen in a red jacket next to it.
"AAAWWW" screamed the teen.

"AAAWWW" screamed Junior.

But then, the diesel stopped suddenly. Junior was flown from the diesel, through the air, and landed of the roof of the steam engines cab.

"Junior" said the teenager, who was now in the cab.

"James" said Junior, jumping into the cab.

"Listen, were in danger, we need to get out of here" said Junior, grabbing his whizzing whistle.

"Can we take my engine to" asked James.

"Yep, just grab onto it" said Junior. So James grabbed tightly to his engine.

"Alright, let's go" said Junior, and he blew his whistle. But only a noise came out. "What" said Junior, and he blew it again.

"Ah" said a voice happily. James and Junior looked at the diesel, and standing on top of it was D10.

"So you've lost your sparkle to hu" laughed D10 "Bye Bye Twinkletoes".

Junior desperately blew on his whistle, but it just made a noise. "Oh no; it's empty" he said sadly.

Then, the claw on D10's engine rose up. "Here we go" said D10, and his diesel began to roll forward.

"Junior, what are we going to do" asked James, who was reversing his engine away from the diesel.

"We'll think of something" said Junior. He looked back, and saw that they were heading back towards some buffers, behind which was the smelting pool.

"Ha, ha, that's it" said D10. Then, James' engine reached the buffers. His engine was still reversing, so it started to lift the buffers.

"What are we going to do" said Junior. But then, it hit him. He reached into his pocket, and pulled out another whistle.

"I'll find you some more Lily, I promise. But if I'm going to be any help at all; it's now or never. I've got to use up the rest of this stuff" he said to himself.

Suddenly, there was a loud snapping sound. James' engine lurched backwards, before James put on the brakes. Junior looked back. James' engine had pushed the buffers off its supports, and into the smelting pool.

"Are you ready" asked D10.

"Not now, not ever" said James.

"Don't worry James" said Junior, grabbing James' engine "I'm getting us out of here".

And, taking a big breath, Junior blew on his whistle. James' engine was covered in Gold Dust. When the Gold Dust was gone, so was James' engine.

D10 stopped for a moment, before screaming "NNNNOOOO"!

Meanwhile, at a small grotto, Mr. C was sitting by himself. Then, a sparkle of gold dust formed over the track, and then James' engine appeared.

"Yahoo" screamed Junior.

"Hu ya" screamed James.

Junior stepped out of the cab. "Bye James" called Junior.

"Bye Junior" called James as his engine puffed away.

Then, Junior walked up to Mr. C. "Sorry to be so long cuz; but better late than never" he said with a small smile.

"Junior, we're all out of Gold Dust aren't we" asked Mr. C sadly.

Junior looked down at his whistle "Bankrupt" he said sadly.

But then, Junior said "Hey, but remember; we're down but were not out".

"No we're out, but we are not down" said Mr. C determinedly.

Inside Burnett's workshop in Muffle Mountain, Lily was sitting on Lady's engine, talking to her grandpa.

"Did Grandma love Lady as much as you do? Did they get along well? Did she ever take a ride on her engine" she asked.

Sadly, Burnett said "Your Grandma always loved Lady like her own daughter. She sometimes even read to her. But she never got to talk to her. And she never took a ride on her engine; I couldn't wake her and fix it in time".

Lily, felling sad, held onto Burnett's hand. And, when Lily looked at it, she saw that he was wearing the friendship bracelet she made him.

Lily was about to say something, but then Patch walked in, pushing a large wagon full of coal.

"Hey Patch" said Lily. She looked behind him, hoping to see Thomas, but there was no one.

"Where's Thomas, is he brining his engine down here" she asked, looking behind Lady's engine.

Patch looked sad "I'm sorry Lily, but there was no blue tank engine when I went up there" he said.

Lily looked shocked "What, are you shure, big blue tank engine, couldn't have missed it".

"No, and you may not like this, but there were some bent rails coming over the cliff face. If I didn't know better, I'd think that his engine, along with him, fell down the mountain" he said sadly.

Lily couldn't believe what she had heard. "I can't believe it, he was just a teenager. And now we can't wake Lady up, he was the only one who had the antidote" she said, shedding a tear.

"Wait" said Patch, reaching into his pocket "is this it"? Lily looked, and saw that Patch was showing her a needle with a strange liquid in it.

"THAT'S IT" screamed Lily. "I found it lying on the ground near the coal car" said Patch Burnett got up and looked at the needle with awe.

"That's the antidote; we can wake her up" he asked. "YES, YES WE CAN" said Lily happily. And then, Lily saw, for the first time, Burnett smile.

Burnett, Lily, and Patch were gathered around Lady's coffin. The glass top had been removed, and now they could see her face to face.

Burnett, who had the medicine in his hands, took Lady's arm and made it strait. He felt around for a blood vain, and when he did, injected the needle.

"Please work" said Burnett silently. Then, he pushed the liquid into Lady.

All three of them watched, waiting to see Lady wake up. However, after five minutes of waiting, she was still asleep. "It's not working" said Burnett, sounding close to tears.

"Maybe we injected it wrong" said Patch.

Lily took the needle out of her grandpa's hands and looked at it. Maybe there were directions on how to use it. However, there was only one message written on the side.

"Notice: Effects could take up to half an hour" read Lily. When she said this, Burnett looked at her.

"So, it just needs time" he said. "According to this" said Lily.

Burnett smiled "Then let's get her engine fired up" he said, and he walked out of the room.

Later, a fire was burning brightly in the firebox. Steam was hissing from the pistons and light smoke was coming from the funnel.

While Patch looked over the fire, Burnett and Lily carried Lady over to the engine.

"We take her with us, so when the antidote wakes her up, we'll be there" said Burnett.

They leaned Lady against the back of the cab. "Okay" said Burnett slowly "Let's go".

He began turning nobs and pulling levers. The engine wheezed, and with a slight jolt, began to move.

"It's moving, it's moving" said Patch.

"Ya, it really is" said Burnett, with a very big smile. Then, the engine entered a tunnel, which lead to a set of buffers.

Soon Lady's engine was once again puffing down the dark Magic Railroad.

"Lily, look" called Patch, who was looking over the coal bunker. Lily walked over to him and looked down. "Wow" said Lily.

Colorful shavings were being ejected out of the pistons of the engine and into the rails, which were beginning to change from black to gold.

"The railroad is getting its energy back" said Patch.

"Here" said Burnett, handing them a bag "they could come in handy".

So Lily reached down and collected a large amount of shavings.

Burnett smiled, and then looked ahead, and at the green light that was coming from the vines around the rails.

Then he looked down at Lady, who was still asleep. "Well Lady, the lights are all green for you now… Green for Glory" he said smiling.

Lily walked up to him "Tasha would have loved this journey" she said.

"Yes, she would. And she would love that you are with me now" he said giving her a hug.

Suddenly, the vines around them disappeared. "Oh my" said Patch. All around them there were blue skies, green fields with different color flowers, and many mountains.

"It's beautiful" said Lily.

But then she looked down at Lady, and gasped. "GRANDPA, LOOK" she said.

Lady was glowing yellow. It was like gold dust was surrounding her. Slowly, she rose off the ground, floating in midair.

Then, she slowly came down, and the yellow light disappeared. She stood there for a moment, as if someone invisible was holding her.

Then, almost as slowly as she came down, her eyes opened.

"Hu, what" she said in a low voice.

Burnett, Lily, and Patch just stood there, mesmerized. Then, Burnett walked up to her.

"Lady" he said silently. Lady looked up, and saw Burnett's face. Suddenly, she smiled. "BURNETT" she screamed, and she gave him a huge hug.

Burnett returned the hug, with tears in his eyes. "Oh Lady, I'm so glad you're awake" he said smiling.

Lady, still hugging, said "And I am glad to see you. I knew you didn't forget about magic. It's safe inside you".

They continued to hug for two minutes, before they broke apart. "So" said Lady "let's see if the old girl still handles well".

But then, before Lady could even touch the throttle, they heard a whistle.

"Whistle sounds good Lady" said Patch.

"But that wasn't me" said Lady.

"Then, who was it" asked Burnett.

Lily heard the whistle again, and looked back. There, a good distance behind them, was a blue tank engine.

"Thomas" said Lily happily. Burnett, Lady, and Patch looked to.

Thomas was leaning out of the cab, looking at them through a pair of binoculars. He took them away from his face.

"YOU FOUND HER" he cried "AND SHE'S BEAUTIFUL".

No one saw, but Lady stiffened up and blushed when he said this. But she quickly shook it off and blew the whistle in reply.

However, when she looked forward, she saw that they were approaching the buffers. "Here we go everyone" said Lady, maintaining speed.

Soon, they left the magic railroad and arrived near a little grotto.
"We're on the island of Sodor" said Lily. Suddenly, she saw two men sitting on some rocks near the tracks.

"Stop Lady" said Lily. So Lady reduced steam and stopped her engine.

Lily walked out of the cab and towards the two figures. "Hello Junior" she said giving him a hug. "Hello Mr. C" she said giving another hug. Then she turned around. "Mr. Conductor, this is my grandpa" she said.

Mr. C smiled "Glad to see that you found your way back" he said. Then he looked at Junior. "Junior, do you realize who that is" he asked, pointing to Lady, who was next to Burnett.

"Well, I reckon this is one beautiful lady" said Junior. Then, Junior realized it. He took a very small step closer to her. "Are you, are you the lost lady" he asked.

"Yes, I am" said Lady. Then, Junior showed his biggest smile.

"Well we are so happy to see you. Now we can go back to Shinning Time" he said to his cousin.

But Mr. C looked sad "Junior" he said getting close to him "We won't make it back to Shinning Time without the Gold Dust. Without it, the magic can't exist".

"Wait, so you, and me, will be" he said, then made a slash across his throat with his hand.

"Yes" said Mr. C sadly.

Junior stood there for a minute, before slowly sitting back down on the rocks.

Sorry for the wait, but I hope you enjoyed this chapter. The last one should be posted soon.
