Sorry for the wait, been busy with my other stories. But now it's time for the next chapter.
Thomas and the Magic Railroad Part 12
Back at the buffers, Thomas' engine had finally reached the exit. It passed through the buffers and back onto Sodor. "Man, I've been gone all night" said Thomas as his engine neared the grotto.
But then, Thomas, Lady, and the others heard something that made them stop cold.
"Ah ha; there's the blue puffball. AND LOOK WHO HE'S WITH" said an evil voice happily.
Everyone looked down the line, and saw a large diesel with a claw coming towards them. On top of it was D10, and behind his where Splatter and Dodge's engines.
"Oh my gosh, it's him. I can't believe it's him" said Lady, backing away in fright.
"Splodge, come; we have a lady to kill" said D10.
But Splatter and Dodge didn't like this. They stopped their engines and stepped out of the cabs.
"What are you to doing" asked D10 angrily.
"We've had enough. You do this yourself" said Splatter.
"Ya, we never liked you. The steamies have actually been nice to us" said Dodge.
"Fine, if you two want to act like that, go ahead. But remember, when this island is mine, you two will be exactly were all those steam lovers will" said D10, and then he turned his attention back to Lady.
"Lady, so good to see you again. Things didn't go as I had hoped last time we met. I hope you don't mind if I do it right this time" asked D10 with an evil smile.
Lady was white with fear, but then she was pushed. Thomas had arrived, and he was pushing Lady to her engine. "Quick Lady, you have to get out of here. And don't worry, I'll be right behind you" said Thomas as he pushed lady into the cab.
But then Burnett got in to. "So will I Lady; I'll not let you down again" he said. Lady looked at him, and then smiled.
"Thank You Burnett" she said, and then she turned to the controls. She moved her had across them, and the fire was instantly lit. Burnett opened the throttle, and Lady's engine pulled away from the grotto.
But then Mr. Conductor called out "Watch out for the Viaduct; it's dangerous"!
Lady's engine rolled away, and so did Thomas'. Then, D10's engine did, with D10 laughing evilly.
"I hope Lady will be alright" said Mr. C.
"Hey, what about Burnett and Thomas" asked Junior.
"Them to, but Lady is very important. Didn't you see it in her name: Lady? She's part of the clue to the source of the Gold Dust" said Mr. C.
Junior gasped, and then looked to where the two engines had been.
Meanwhile, the two engines and diesel had left the branch and were now on the main line. Lady's engine was speeding along with Thomas' and D10's behind it.
"Now I'll get you Lady and you to Burnett Stone" said D10.
"No you won't; because the magic you refuse to believe in will get the better of you" said Burnett.
The three engines rocketed down the main line. Signal men were shocked to see three engines breaking main line rules. They alerted others to the problem to allow the three trains to pass.
Gordon was driving the express when he was switched to a side track. "What is the meaning of this, the express must be on time" he complained.
Then, the three engines rocketed past Gordon. He was surprised; he didn't know the first engine, but he knew the others. "Thomas, and D10, what is going on" he wondered.
D10 saw that he was close to Lady's engine. But, he saw that Thomas was in his way. "Time to do what I should have done days ago" said D10. He pressed some buttons on his metal arm, and the large claw sprang to life. It reached over and snapped at Thomas' engine.
"Hey, get back" yelled Thomas from the cab.
"No way puffball; you've gotten in my way too many times. Get out of the way or be 'Scrapped'" said D10 with a smile.
"I'd rather be scrapped. I'll never let you lay a single metal finger on Lady" screamed Thomas.
He screamed it so loud that Lady heard him. Her face became red again, and she put a hand to her heart. It was beating really fast; faster than when she saw D10 again.
"Fine, it's your funeral" said D10. The claw made another attempt to grab the E2. But Thomas opened the throttle and increased its speed. "Hu, pretty fast for a puffball" said D10.
But then, when Burnett looked up ahead, he froze. The chase was coming up to the viaduct. Mr. C's words still rang in Burnett's head; "Watch out for the viaduct; it's dangerous".
Burnett turned to Lady, who looked at him. They both knew that this chase was going to end. "Well Lady; this is your shinning time to" said Burnett.
Lady smiled a frightened smile "I hope so" she said.
Then, Thomas called out to them. "Come on guys, we can do this. As my grandpa Awdry said: Little People Can Do Big Things" he shouted.
Lady wanted to say something, but her engine had just rolled onto the bridge. It began to rumble and shake a little as the two engines rolled across it.
Then, five big blocks fell away from the middle of the bridge. Lady and Burnett held on tight as they rolled over it. Nothing happened, and the continued to cross. But then, a large piece of the bridge fell off. It was behind Lady's engine, but in front of Thomas'.
"Oh no, Thomas" said Lady worriedly. Thomas saw the gap getting closer.
"One small step for me" said Thomas sternly. He braced himself, and his engine rolled over the gap safely. As he did, two more large sections of the viaduct fell off. Now, there was no middle section of it.
Thomas smiled and cried "On large kick in the *** for D10".
"Yes, yes he made it" screamed Lady.
"Well Done Thomas, well done" said Burnett.
Back at the bridge, D10 had finally reached it. He saw the missing section coming up. "Wait, were did the bridge go" he said. He pressed a button and his engine's brakes applied. But it was no good, he engine rolled onto the suspended tracks. The tracks snapped, and D10 and his engine fell into the river below. But D10 managed to grab hold of one of the sleeper of the other track.
"Ha, take that puffball. I'm safe, and I'm still coming after you" he laughed. Then, his hand sparked again. It shocked, then let out a bang. The hand's electronics were too damaged, and it let go of the sleeper.
"I hate my life, AND I HATE THIS HAND" screamed D10 as he fell from the bridge and onto a barge of sludge below. His engine was there to, and its claw was very damaged. D10 looked at it, then himself.
"I HATE THAT PUFFBALL" he said angrily as the boat pulled the barge down river.
I wanted this chapter to finish the story off, but I think that would make it too long. Also, since I want to add something else to the ending, I think this is a good place to stop. And remember, if you like or dislike this chapter, tell me about it in a review.
