Hello! So, this is for the first prompt of Twelve Shots of Summer, Secret Genius. I joined way late, so I'm trying to catch up with the prompts. Hopefully, you all like this! - Element

She couldn't help her personality, honestly. She couldn't help her past. The only things she could help were her future self, her choices, and her beliefs.

Sayaka had changed her. So much for being selfish and only helping herself, huh...She had learned to care for someone else again, after what had happened all those years ago.

Homura had changed her. It wasn't about her, it was about the truth, it was about protecting people.

Madoka had changed her. Sometimes, all you can do is be a coward. Sometimes, you can't save people. All you can do is love them.

Good grief, even Mami had changed her. She had heard stories, and those stories had taught about maturity.

Kyoko wasn't really book smart. She knew that. She was street smart. She didn't take excuses.

So why had she changed so much from her brazen personality? Nobody had forced it on her. It wasn't like she had to change.

It had been her choice.

Her friends had become a part of her...the truth was, they had made her a better person.

The ability to change and accept it, the strength to carry on, even when one hates it, and the heart that it takes to try and save a friend; all of it had contributed to her being a genius, even if she didn't think she was.

Kyoko couldn't help it, though.
