This chapter was really super fun to write, it's exciting and fun, and I wish more of my stories could flow like this lol.

Okay. here you go!

Notes: "Un" in Japanese means "Yes", or so that is what wikipedia told me, so I hope they are right... So when you read the joke, you will get it.

O.o.O.o.O.o.O.o.O.o

"So, how's business?" the pregnant Sango asks a blissful Rin as she is getting food ready to feed dogs in the puppy pin.

"It's actually starting to pick up. I've had 5 customers today already- can you get that?" she asks Sango to open the door to the back room. "At this rate, all of these animals will have a home, and me and Kaede will be outta the job!" she jokes as she leads her friend to where all the magic happens in the K-9 area.

"Well that's... Bittersweet. These animals will get a home in the process,"

"Yeah, but with all of the attention that we are getting right now, maybe people will support us and we can get all of the stray animals off the street!" Rin remained optimistic as she started to feed the animals.

"Well, if I come across an animal in need, I will bring them here for sure."

"Yay for friends!" Rin giggled with her friend. But they were suddenly interrupted by bells hitting the surface up front. That meant that she had a guest.

"A new costumer!" she shouts to her friend as she drops the bag of food and runs for the front desk.

As she got to the front desk, she trips over her own foot and makes a fall. She grabs onto the desk for dear life, squealing in surprise as her hair flipped over and smacked her in the face. As she gradually regained balance, she tried pulling herself up but ended up knocking papers down with her elbows. After such a dilemma, she takes a breather, and stands up straight.

"Hi." she says flipping her hair back to it's place. "Sorry you had to see that," she says as she sees the papers on the floor and picks them up quickly. "Welcome to the Omoiyari Animal Shelter." she smiles beautifully as she see's the gentleman in front of her desk.

A very handsome gentleman, tall, long silver hair, and firey golden eyes that can light her way out of darkness.

Wow.

"Uhh- What can I help you with today?" her smile was dazzling, as was her beauty. The man was suddenly, mentally caught off guard a little.

"I want a pure bread German Spitz." he says fixing the lock on his Rolex watch. "I highly doubt that you will have one, but I was recommend to come here."

She, too was caught a little off guard. He was cute. "Uhh- yeah. Sure?" she tried to remember what he said. Honestly, she doesn't even remember. "Uhh, German Spitz." she tilted her head in thought. "I actually do." she smiles returning to work mode. "Cutest little thing, too. He's a puppy, are you okay with that?" her smile was absolutely beautiful.

"That's fine."

"Well okay then!" her excitement was uncanny. "If you follow me, I will show you your new puppy." she opens the way for him to enter with the most amazing disposition. Silently he followed, wanting to get this over with. He didn't like the feeling of this girl.

As they walked together, her friend Sango was sending friendly flirty face gestures for Rin to tap it. Rin could not believe her friend and grew red at the face. She tried shooing her away as they got closer to the puppy pin.

"They all have just eaten, so all he will need is an evening meal tonight. she says as they approach the puppies. she scans the perimeter for who she was looking for, and sure enough, the one he wanted was playing with another black dog, as they did 24/7. "There he is, playing with her." she points to the two playing in the distance. "With his friend." she says stepping over the pin to head to the two playing. They didn't not want to be bothered, but Rin managed to break through the playful fight and picked him up to take him to his new potential owner.

"Here he is, a beauty, isn't he?" she asks as she handed him to the gentleman. "How he was thrown out is beyond me. He is going to be a beautiful fur-ball one day." she says with the most love and adoration for the little thing. I was the most angelic voice that he had ever heard.

The gentleman looked at the puppy. He was an absolute mess, mane and personality and all. But with a little training, a trim... And a bath, he would be good as new.

"I'll take him. What's his name?"

"Oh, we try to make it a priority to not name puppies when they are this young. If they have the potential to be adopted, we want the adopters to give them a name if at all possible. Bigger dogs, if they have been here, their personality gives them the names." she spoke factually and professionally. "Do you have an idea for a name?" she asks eagerly.

"Un." that was a short response.

"Un? Hmm..." she pondered the name, then smiled. "Un. I like it. Simple and sweet." she really needs to stop smiling at him. "So... I take it you are adopting him?" she hopes in her head.

"Yes,"

"Or do you mean "Un"?" she asks with a giggle at the terrible joke. Her giggle shortly came to an end when she saw that he was less then amused. "Yeah, sorry. I'll stop and get you on your way." she says walking right past him to lead him back up to the front with the deepest blush on her cheeks.

The whole time that she checked out the puppy at the front desk, he couldn't stop studying her. Her beautiful dark hair with a ponytail to the side, her long eye lashes, her chestnut colored eyes, her drop dead gorgeous smile, her laugh, her orange and white checkered sun dress she wore with a white wedge, her care for these animals, oh man. This experience was making him feel uncomfortable. He felt extremely off and uneasy, as if he were about to lose control of himself. This definitely did not feel right.

Regardless of what he was experiencing, he ignored the sensation, whatever this was. He would schedule an appointment to speak with his father later about what this is... He remained quiet, stoic, patient, as she was making the adoption final.

"Okay, so you are adopting the German Spitz puppy, named..." she wrote while she spoke "Un. He has had all of his shots for the year, but he is not neutered. We have yet to gain the license to spay and neuter animals as of yet, plus he's too young. It will be another few weeks before anyone is able to do that anyhow."

"He will not be neutered." he says looking to the puppy.

"Oh, well then he is going to be quite the ladies man, won't you, Un?" she asks petting him for the last time. The little thing was happy, smiling like an idiot with a tongue hanging out, loving the loving's from this wonderful woman. "Okay, can I have your name, please?" she asks getting ready to write down.

"Inutakahashi, Sesshomaru." he says with a blank expression.

"Inutakahashi, wow. Big name. I hear it everywhere," she says writing it in. "Tamiko, Rin. It's a pleasure to meet you," she says holding a hand to shake. He then replies with a little more feeling.

"You hear my father and mother's name in the world, not mine." he says coldly, ignoring her gesture.

She sees that she hit a tender spot. "Oh, my apologies, I did not mean to offend." she struggled to keep nice. "H-here," she handed him the pen "All I need is a signature here and you are good to go. You will officially have a new housemate." her smile...

He had never signed anything so slowly in all his life. But the thought of leaving her drove him crazy. What the hell is up to him today? Does he need to let off some steam or something? His senses are heightening, his sense of smell is growing, his demonic self is threatening to come out of his shell at every sound he hears from a five mile radius... He has never felt this way before.

Oh no.

Oh God.

'She's my mate.'

...

She could see the slight worry in his face. She, too becomes worried.

"Are you alright, sir? Is there something wrong?" the care in her voice was poisonous. He had to get out.

Now.

"Are we done here?"

"Umm, yeah, you signed the papers, so-"

Without anther breath he was gone, pup and all. Rin was left extremely confused.

"Well, that was strange..." Sango comes out of the back room.

"Yeah..." she murmers as she looks down to her desk. As she does she see something extremely important that is still in her hands. Pulling it up, she gasps. "Oh no! He needs this!" she says bolting out of the building to search for him. She was ready to start to make a run for it, before she spotted him sitting on a bench a building away, puppy at hand, bending over as if he were about to puke.

'Her sent' "Umm, sir?" 'That's her scent.' He looks up to her wondering why the hell he hasn't claimed her as his yet. He was so close to losing control...

"What," his welcome was not warm.

"This." she holds up the folder. "This belongs to you. It's everything for Un, shot records, birth certificate, everything. You left before I could give it to you- are you okay?" he stood tall, towering her. He takes the folder firmly from her hand-

The slightest brush of the skin makes his hair stand on end...

"My thanks," is all he can say before storming away in a hurry, leaving her just as perplexed as before. Sango helped her out of her thoughts as she walked back in her building.

"Hey Rin, I think there is something wrong with one of your puppies." Rin was back in work mode.

"What?"

"I don't know, but she is just sitting there, whimpering all the sudden."

"Maybe she played too hard or something. Lets see."

As they walk to the puppy pin, Rin sees exactly who it is. It's the same puppy that was playing with Un earlier. Rin held a heavy heart for her, and went in to pick her up.

"Oh what's wrong sweetie. Are you feeling lonely? Did your playmate leave you?" she picked up the little golden boxer and held her close. Almost immediately, the puppy started to calm down. "Yeah, it's going to be okay." the puppy replied by trying to hide in her hair.

"Were they close, maybe?"

"Well every time that I saw them, they were glued together. But now her play mate is gone and now she's sad. But there are other puppies here who would love to play with you." she says looking at her cute and sad face. "Oh my goodness you are pitiful!" she looks to Sango. "Look at this beautiful face. I can't believe that I found this face in the dumpster out back. She was skittish for a while. Maybe he was the buddy to break her shell." Rin felt for the sweet thing.

"Oh crap, Rin I gotta go!" Sango suddenly says out of the blue. "I have an appointment with my doctor."

"Oh, yeah of course. Let me know how that goes!"

"Bye!"

"You know, Sango is due for her baby any say now," Rin talks to the puppy as it starts to yawn. "Aaaaaah," she mimmics the puppy. "Sleepy are we?" Then it came to her... "Ah," she smiled. "That is your name. Ah." her smile grew. "You wanna come home with me?"

"Hello?" a sudden female voice came from the front desk. Rin raced, puppy at hand to see her new potential costumer. "Hi!" the woman was extremely upbeat and happy. Rin liked her already.

"Hi there. How can I help you, today?"

"I am looking for a companion. Someone big, playful, and someone who can watch my house for burglars.

"That sounds like the perfect dog." they both giggle. "So are you looking for a puppy, or a full grown dog?"

"Whatever I fall in love with!" the girl mused.

"Sounds wonderful. Can I get your name, please?" Rin grabbed a pen.

"Higurashi, Kagome."

O.o.O.o.O.o.O.o.O.o

"Whoa, does my memory suck." Rin says sitting in Sesshomaru's living area while the two, now grown, dogs lie together in bliss. Sesshomaru brings in a tray of tea for the ladies and sits it on the glass coffee table.

"Tea?"

"Yes, thank you," Kagome was polite.

"Yes, please." he hands the ladies their cups. "That was a long time ago, though, they were just barely born."

"Two years, two months, and one week ago, today." he says nonchalantly.

"That's weird on how that was the day we met, too." Kagome adds. "I remember it because you were holding Ah in your hands when I walked in."

"And the night that Sango had her baby. Wow, what a small world, this is." Rin says sipping her cup.

"So, when are you two going to start making beautiful babies together?" Rin just about choked on her tea.

"Oh my God, Kagome!" she started to cough.

"This is not a laughing matter, little sister." Sesshomaru says crossing his legs in leisure.

"Not a laughing- are you okay Rin?" she continues to cough out her tea that just about killed her.

"I'm.. fine." she straightens up. "But really..."

"What, have you seen my mate, Rin? I laugh at myself every single day. When he told me I was his mate, I kicked him in the balls and punched him in the face. The very next week, I was head over heels in love, and was engaged. Same thing will happen to you, too, hun-"

"Okay," Rin smiled while standing. "So I am DONE with this conversation. Can we change the topic?"

Before anyone could reply, Kagome's phone rang.

"Hello?...Inuyasha this isn't the best time- WHAT?... Oh, you have got to be kidding me... Well, why the hell were you on the roof IN THE RAIN- UGH! You are completely hopeless!" she hung up in an instant. "Well," Kagome straightened herself up. "I apparently I have to go. It seems that my block head of a fiance has fallen off of my roof, and may or may not have been struck by lightening. So, I need to make sure that he isn't dead." her anger resonated as she shoved her phone in her purse. "We have to go-"

"I will take her home," Rin immediately looks with big eyes to Sesshomaru.

"Oh, thank you Sesshomaru. I really do need to go- are you okay, Rin?"

She really couldn't say anything, she could only nod.

"Okay... thank you!" she hurries to her idiot lover, leaving Rin.

Completely Alone.

Awkwarrrrrd.

"Let's go," he says heading for the door as well.

"W-wait. Hold on a second. Shouldn't we talk about this?" Rin is still incredibly confused.

He turns to face her, expecting to get this over with. "What would you like to know?"

Rin's eyes bulge even bigger. "I-I... don't know." she nervously chuckles. "I-I mean," she had no idea. She doesn't even know what to ask. She then finds a question. "Why me?" good enough.

He looked away from her then. He didn't want to admit not knowing that answer. He could answer anything BUT that question.

"That's a good question. One that I have been asking for two years, now." he says before turning to head out again.

Huh? "Wait..." her confusion didn't subside. "That's it?" she shrugs. "That's all you have to say?" that answered nothing for her. "I don't know?"

This time, he wasted no time closing the space between them, tired of this.

"You are a clumsy, messy, cheeky, loud-mouth with little to no respect. You constantly have dirt on your face, you are a burden to me, you are a trouble maker that doesn't listen to reason and yet my whole being is just itching to make you mine." he eventually backs her into the wall. She is barely able to breathe with how close he is to her. "Try to find an explanation for that." oh how his inner demon just begged him to take her then and there...

...

Rin stands like a statue.

Bewildered and afraid by his blunt honesty.

...

That was kinda hot.

He was finally able to resist, enough to walk away from her. Oh, driving her home is going to be complete hell.

Rin lost control for a moment.

She reached out for his hand.

...

Caught it.

...

His eyes grow.

Rin pulls him back in that moment, completely oblivious to what the hell she was doing.

He couldn't take it anymore.

Instead of letting her lead, he took complete control. He shoved her to the wall, looked square into her eyes and completely devoured her mouth with his. They took each other hungrily, as he pulled her arms around his neck and picked her up to take her to his bedroom. He slams the door shut leaving Ah and Un to fall asleep.

O.o.O.o.O.o.O.o.O.o

Well... Okay. That works, I guess.

This just means that Rin gets to have a little chat with her girlfriends next time she sees them. That's gonna be fuuuun.

Did anyone like my clever, clever name for the Animal Shelter? XD I thought that it worked quite well. Teehee

Hope you are satisfied with that... Somewhat. I did have a small writers block with this, but now... I HAVE to write more. I HAVE to see what happens next! Or it's gonna drive me crazy!

See you soon! ^_^
