Dear Darlings,
Today was me and your mommy's first ever anniversary of being married together, I still can't believe that was a whole year ago... Anyway, even though today's a very special day for Misty and I, I'm writing this letter to you three.
As you know, we had been together since we were fourteen years old. The reason I'm telling you how we got together is because when you're finally old enough to read these, I'll probably would forget, heh... (Don't tell Misty I said that!)
Although, I still remember like it was yesterday. It was actually your Uncles Brock and Tracey who helped! When I returned from Unova with Cilan and Iris, I met up with Misty, Tracey and Brock. All six of us decided to go to a new region together called Kalos, that's actually where Cilan confessed his feelings to Iris too.
Anyway! A while after we began traveling, I caught my first Pokemon from Kalos, Greninja, but at the time it was just a Froakie. Misty fell in love with it instantly, you know your mom and her water types. I began training with her until we reached the first gym and I battled against Viola, but sadly I lost... Cilan said all I needed was a little more training, that was when Brock suggested I battled Misty. She was all up for it, of course, but I wanted to train a little more to make sure I kicked her butt!
When I was in the middle of training Froakie with Pikachu, Brock came to me and said what I least expected to hear; if I lost I had to kiss Misty. I was secretly happy about that, if I'm honest, but being the stubborn teen I was I was up for the challenge.
Turns out Tracey had bet Misty the same thing, and when I beat her, she had to kiss me because of her loss. Not that I minded... After that we both confessed and after a few more battles with Misty (and earning a few more kisses) a finally challenged Viola again and won.
Actually, now that I think about it, I don't think I could ever forget that. It was one of the happiest days of my life, of course after the day you three were born! I love you all so much and I'm so happy to have you, thankfully for once Brock's attempt at love worked, heh.
