Mina found Sam sulking in a small room that was in the hallway by the bathroom. She peeked in cautiously. He looked pissed, which was an appropriate reaction to his situation. He looked up at her as she walked in and sat on the floor.
"Is 'are you okay?' a stupid question?" Mina asked. Sam nodded. "Right, figured."
They sat there awhile in silence. Mina could see that Sam was weighing the options. Work with Crowley, get pestilence, kill the devil, it'd be a win-win scenario. But would it be worth it? Maybe, it would. Sam looked up when they heard Dean go into the bathroom. He took the chair he was sitting on and wedged it under the bathroom door knob, locking his brother in.
"um, Sam." Mina began, getting up and following him. "What are you doing?"
"I'm doing what I have to." Sam replied before he headed to the room Brady was in. Mina didn't follow him, or stop him, or let Dean out. This was one of those things she wasn't going to be a part of. She leaned against the wall just outside the bathroom. By the time Sam came back she was about to let Dean out and stab him for all the noise he was making.
"Come on!" Dean said, banging on the door.
"Hey, hey, hey! Alright, wait." Sam said moving the chair. "I'm gonna open it."
"What happened?" Dean said walking out heading to check on Brady.
"Nothing." Sam replied.
"Nothing my ass." Dean growled, he stopped and turned to Mina. "And you, why didn't you stop him?"
"um hello?" Mina answered, gesturing from Sam to herself "Height difference."
"This has nothing to do with her." Sam said. "Dean, I'm fine."
"Yeah? What about Brady?" Dean demanded, walking into the room. Both Sam and Mina followed him.
"Like you said," Sam stated when Dean saw that Brady was fine. "We need him."
"God." Crowley spoke up from behind the three. "The day I've had."
"Crowley!" Mina said as she turned to see him. His clothes were torn, his hair disheveled, and tiny specks of blood on his face.
"Hush kitten," He told her quietly. Crowley stepped into the room, walking right past the boys. He kept his attention on Brady with a knowing smirk. "Good news. You're going to live forever."
"What did you do?" Brady asked.
"When over to a demon's nest, had a little massacre," Crowley replied "must be losing my touch though, let one of the little toads live. Oops. Also might have given said toad the impression that you left your post last night because you and I are, wait for it, lovers in league against satan. Hello Darling."
"So now," Crowley continued "death is off the table. "Now you get to be on the boss's eternal torment list with little old me."
"Oh, no, no, no, no. No." Brady managed angrily.
"Something else we have in common," Crowley said. "apart from our torrid passion, of course, craven self-preservation. So, why don't you tell me where Pestilence is at?"
Just as Brady was about to retort, they all heard a dog's howl. Mina stepped forward grabbing onto Sam's sleeve. When he looked down at her she let go. She knew that sound. The night the hellhounds came for her was still fresh in her mind.
"Oh, God, Crowley." Brady said.
"Was that a hellhound?" Dean asked.
"I'd say yeah." Crowley replied. He glanced at Mina, her face pale.
"Why was that a hellhound?" Dean asked. Crowley searched his pockets and sighed when he pulled out a small coin.
"What's that?" Sam asked.
"remember I was telling you about my crafty tracking device?" Crowley responded with a question.
"yeah?" Sam asked.
"Demons planted one on me." Crowley told him.
"You're saying a hellhound followed you here?" Sam demanded
"Well, technically he followed this." Crowley corrected.
"Get me out of here," Brady cut in. "I'll tell you anything you want."
"Shut up." Sam said.
"Okay, well, we should go then." Dean suggested.
"Sorry Boys," Crowley said. "No one knows more about the hounds than I. You're long past the point of 'go'."
"Damn it." Dean said when Crowley disappeared.
"I told you!" Sam stated.
"Oh well good for you." Dean responded childishly. "Luckily we have salt in the kitchen."
"Mina and I will watch Brady." Sam told dean as he left to the kitchen.
"Watch me? Get me the Hell out of here!" Brady shouted.
"Mina, help me with this." Sam said as he headed over to untie Brady. When she didn't follow he looked back at her. "Mina?"
"Huh?!" She responded, looking up at him, then at Brady. "Oh, right…"
As she and Sam untied Brady they heard a window break followed by howling and snarling. Mina's hands started shaking as she struggled to untie the rope and remain calm. They heard a couple shot gun shots before dean backed into the room while reloading.
"Salt?" Sam asked, dean shook his head.
"Damn it get me out of here." Brady shouted.
"Shut up!" Dean and Sam said together.
"great, just great." Brady muttered.
"Hey!" Crowley yelled. Mina moved over behind Dean, relieved to see him.
"You're back?" Dean asked.
"I'm invested, currently." Crowley responded before the hellhound barked. "Stay!"
"You can control them?" Dean asked.
"Not that one." Crowley responded pointing to the one in front of Dean. Then he patted the air beside him. "I brought my own, mine's bigger. Sick'em boy!"
Dean pulled Mina out of the hellhounds way and over to Brady and Sam. He and Sam finished untying Brady and scratched away part of the devil's trap. Then all four of them ran out to Dean's car. When they reached it Crowley was waiting for them. He pulled Mina from Dean and checked her over making sure she was okay as Brady got in the backseat. Crowley looked from Sam to Dean with a smirk.
"I wager a thousand my pup wins." Crowley told them with a chuckle before he got in next to Brady and pulled Mina in after him. Sam and Dean got in with a roll of their eyes and Dean drove off.
They found an alley where Brady gave them the info the boys needed. Mina waited halfway between them and the impala. Dean began to salt it, trapping Brady there. He only stopped to let Crowley slide by. He did so without a word, Crowley grabbed mina's arm and they were gone. They appeared in a rundown motel possibly in the middle of nowhere.
"Stay here." Crowley said, and then he was gone.
