I am so sorry it's taken me so long to update, i haven't updated any of my other stories either. Hopefully i'll be able to get them all back on track.
Thank you to GoodAngelGoneBad for reviewing and reminding me that this story still exists
Crowley was only gone for a couple hours but to Mina it felt longer. Maybe it was because she was dreading being alone with him. Now that he knew that she's a hunter.
'Was,' She reminded herself. 'not anymore...'. She curled up on the bed pulling the covers around her, hoping to fall asleep before Crowley returned. Maybe he'd let her be if she was sleeping.
"Get up Kitten." Crowley ordered. Mina lashed out as he tried to pull the covers off her. Her fist caught him right in the face. He stumbled back, completely surprised. "My, aren't you grumpy."
"You would be too if you were being dragged around all over the place." she mumbled as she sat up. "Hunters, Demons, Hellhounds, haven't even gotten a decent nap..."
"Stop complaining, Kitten. Look, I got you a present." Crowley said, dumping the contents of a duffle bag on the bed. Guns, knives, holy water, salt, and other things fell out. Upon a closer inspection, Mina realised they were her old weapons she had locked away.
"Not even going to ask how you got these..." Mina told him. "I'm NOT a hunter anymore Crowley."
"Yes you are." He responded. "And I'm going to need those skills you have."
"For what?" She asked.
"You'll know when you need to." Crowley said. Mina let out an aggravated breath as she picked up one of the knives.
"Come now,Kitten," Crowley spoke, holding his hands up. He snapped his fingers and several demons appeared. "I brought you some target practice."
The demons wasted no time in going after her. Mina slit one demon's throat with the knife and threw it into another, killing both. She grabbed a machete from the pile of weapons on the bed and decapitated two more. A fifth demon grabbed Mina from behind. She threw her head back, hitting his chin and knocking him off balance. She cut off his arm and in a fluid motion, slid the machete through the demon's heart.
"very nice," Crowley spoke up, clapping his hands. "I'm impressed.I'd say you're ready."
"Ready for what?" Mina asked coldly, she was covered in blood from the demons.
"Get cleaned up kitten, then i'll tell you all about your new job." Crowley replied. Mina narrowed her eyes at him. She wasn't sure she liked how he was acting. "go on, hurry up."
When Mina came out of the bathroom, she was dressed in a black tank top and cargo pants. Crowley raised an eyebrow at her choice, but she ignored him and put her hair up in a high ponytail. She retrieved the weapons she'd used to kill the demons and sat on the bed to clean them.
"You finished staring yet?" She asked.
"Not quite." Crowley responded. Mina rolled her eyes and slid her jacket on. "When'd you get all sensitive and mushy?"
"You wanted hunter me? This is hunter me." Mina told him. "make up your mind. And i am NOT mushy."
"I see i'm going to have to give you an attitude adjustment." Crowley said.
"Is that your clever way of saying you're going to torture me?" Mina asked. "I'm not impressed."
"Can always give you to the hellhounds as a chew toy." Crowley told her. "Come on Kitten, let's stop being hostile. Let's be friends."
"A friend wouldn't push me into doing something i don't want to." Mina informed him. "If you wanted a hunter to banter back and forth with you, you should have gotten my sister, or you should have stuck with the Winchesters."
"I don't want your sister, and I definitely don't want the Winchesters." Crowley spoke firmly. "I chose you Kitten, deal with it. You're my Hunter now."
"so, you want your own personal hunter." Mina stated. "What did you want me for before you found out who I was?"
"It doesn't matter." Crowley responded, his patience wearing thin.
"It matters Crowley," Mina argued. "This is not what you wanted me for, you needed a human for something, what?"
"We're not talking about this anymore Kitten." Crowley spoke as he approached her. His voice held a dangerous tone and Mina tightened her grip on one of her knives. It was special, a gift from her brother Roy. The handle was made of a deer antler and was covered in carvings.
"I'm not going to let it go." Mina informed him. Crowley took hold of her and backed her against the wall.
"Ask all you want Kitten, I'll say nothing more about it." Crowley said. "Now I believe we have a deal to make."
"I am not kissing you." Mina muttered, turning her face away from him. Crowley grabbed her chin and brought her mouth to his. When he began to pull away, the smirk on his face disappeared when Mina grabbed his arm and swung him into the wall. He let out a yell as she drove the knife through his shoulder into the wall.
"The hell?" He managed, surprised as he tried to pull the knife from his body. Mina retreated several steps away from him. The hilt of the knife burned Crowley's hand and wouldn't budge. He looked up at her, demanding answers. "what is this?"
"Good luck pulling that out." Mina told him. "Those carvings repel demons."
"Kitten," Crowley began as she stepped towards the bed and began packing the weapons back into the duffle bag. "What are you doing?"
"I'm going to throw these back into the river you got them from." She responded. "I'm not a hunter."
"The deal's been sealed sweetheart." Crowley informed her with a smirk. Mina frozen and her hands trembled.
"I don't care." She spoke softly. "I'm not a hunter."
Once all the weapons were packed up in the bag, Mina headed towards the door. there was nothing else for her to take and she had nothing else to say to him. She ignored him calling after her. That knife would give her a good head start, she'd be able to make it home. She'd drop the weapons back in the Hudson and find Dan and Chase. If there was a time for alcohol, it was now.
