Problems At Home
"Come on, Naru, come back."
"No, I hate you and I never want to see you again!" Naru shouted as she ran down the street holding back tears; Sasuke was running behind her but trying not to make a scene in the middle of the village "Just go away and stop following me you cheating bastard."
FLASHBACK
As soon as Naru got back to the village she headed to Sasuke's apartment, she was about to jump in through his kitchen window when she heard someone talking.
"Well I just got my monthly check-up from Tsunade-shishou." A voice she recognized as Sakura said, she was going to head in but the next sentence made her freeze. "She said our baby is healthy."
"That's good." Sasuke said, "But that was a given seeing as you're a medic and know what you and the baby need."
"True," Sakura said, "I haven't told anyone you're the father yet, I mean no one knows I'm pregnant other than Tsunade-shishou because I'm not showing yet. But we'll have to tell Naru when she gets back; so when do you think she'll be back?"
"Probably any day now," Sasuke said, "I thought she'd be back months ago seeing as she was only supposed to be gone two years and she almost four months late."
"I hope nothing happened to her." Sakura said worried, "So have you figured out what or how you're gonna tell her?" That's when Naru decided to join the conversation.
"How about the truth." Naru said.
"Naru?" Both of her former team-mates said in shock.
"When did you get back?" Sakura asked.
"How much did you hear?" Sasuke asked.
"Enough to know you lied to me." Naru said as she tore the promise ring off her neck breaking the chain, and throwing it at his feet. "I never want to see you ever again Uchiha Sasuke!" Naru shouted as she jumped back out the window.
"Wait Naru!" she heard her former team-mates shout after her but she just ran down the street.
FLASHBACK END
By the time she was done re-living the memory she was at her apartment she slammed the door behind her and ran to her bed. By the time she flopped down the tears she had been holding the whole way home were cascading down her face. After a couple minutes Naru heard her front door open and someone enter her apartment, she knew who it was but she refused to look at him as he entered the room and sat next to her on the bed.
"Come on Naru." Sasuke pleaded as he ran his fingers through her loose hair, "Just talk to me please."
"Why did you do it?" Naru asked and when he didn't answers she rolled over and looked him in the eyes "Why did you sleep with Sakura? Why didn't you wait for me like you promised, I thought you loved me?"
"I don't know and I do love you," Sasuke said then looked out the window that was right next to the bed. "I could say it was a mix of alcohol and raging hormones, but that would only be half of it. I was lonely with you gone and Sakura was there to cheer me up when I was down, but just as a friend. I still love you, Naru and I want to be with you. It was just an accident that only happened one time, I swear. We both regretted it after."
"That's your reason is you were drunk and lonely!" Naru shouted, "I don't care if you still love me or if it was just one time. The council won't either and you know it, you are the last of your clan that is loyal to the village, you know what that means, don't you?"
"We'll figure something out," Sasuke argued desperately, "I don't love her; I love you."
"There is nothing to figure out, you will be expected to marry her because she carrying your heir." Naru said, "You're the ones who did this, your feelings don't matter, just like mine didn't apparently. You have to think about what's best for your child now."
"Naru. I'm sorry." Sasuke sighed in defeat knowing Naru was right about the council.
"Just go away Sasuke." Naru said as she rolled so her back was facing Sasuke, "I'm tired from my trip and I need to rest." Without another word Sasuke left, and Naru cried herself to sleep.
… … .N. … …
Sakura and Sasuke gave Naru a couple days to rest up before they tried to speak with her. So far it had been hopeless because as soon as she'd notice them she'd seem to vanish into thin air; the only time she'd talk to either of them was during training and even then it was never more than a sentence. After a week of tense training session Kakashi-sensei had had enough, and sat the trio down.
"I have no idea what's going on between you three," Kakashi said, "but none of you are leaving the field until you have sorted it out, am I understood?"
"Yes, sensei." The trio added.
"Goo, now stop behaving like green Genin and speak to one another," Kakashi said, "or will I have to stay here and referee?"
"I'm not angry enough to beat a pregnant woman," Naru said, "A cheating bastard on the other hand, maybe that would make it better." Kakashi looked confused for a moment until his two other subordinates flinched as Naru spoke.
"I thought that seeing as you three were Chünin you were mature enough to not bring personal matters to work."
"I haven't." Naru argued, "It's them."
"It's all three of you." Kakashi said, "I understand how much a person can change in three years Naru, but even the village has noticed you giving your teammate the cold shoulder, and it's no different during training. Both Sasuke and Sakura spend most of their time trying to get your attention and are distracted. Now, I can guess what happened between you three, but I for one don't much worry about what you do behind closed doors, but the village does as you three are the center of attention like it or not. Now fix what is wrong before the Hokage has to get involved."
"Why are we so popular?" Sakura asked.
"Two of you are being trained personally by Sennin and the other is an Uchiha." Kakashi said, "I'll be back in one hour, and you had better be on speaking terms." Kakashi shushined away.
"At least we know he lied about not caring about our personal lives." Naru muttered.
"What?" Sasuke asked.
"If he didn't actually care he would have just gone to Baachan." Naru said, "It seems Kashi-sensei is getting soft in his old years." The trio laughed at that.
"I really miss this." Sakura said once they stopped laughing, "I'm really sorry Naru, we really didn't mean for anything like this to happen. I'm not even really sure how it happened, Sasuke and I didn't even have that much to drink I don't think."
"It's true," Sasuke said, "I remember having two cup of sake and the rest of the night is rather blurry."
"We don't even like each other like that," Sakura said, "As a matter of fact I was even thinking of starting to date Rock Lee before any of this happened."
"I really don't think the how or why really matter at this point," Naru told them, "It happened and we all have to move on from here. I'm trying to forgive you both, you're shinobi and that kind of life expectancy doesn't really allow grudges, I just need some time is all."
"So you really think you could forgive me?" Sakura asked near tears, "Because I really don't like you hating to me."
"You're like a sister to me, Sakura." Naru said, "I could never hate you, I just need some time and space to come to terms with everything."
"And me?" Sasuke asked.
"I'm sure the same thing holds true for you as well, Sasuke." Naru said and noticed the flinch when she said his name. "I just don't know how much time it will take before things go back to normal."
"I understand." Sasuke said.
"What are we going to tell everyone?" Naru asked.
"What do you mean?" Sakura asked.
"Well, Kashi-sensei said that everyone has noticed the tension between the three of us," Naru said, "Soon people are going to start asking us questions and I seriously doubt we want our friends to know what's really happened because both of you are the bad guys in the whole thing no matter the reasons."
"Bad guys?" Sasuke asked.
"The truth is that even if you two can't explain how it happened," Naru explained, "MY best friend and MY boyfriend slept with each other behind MY back while I was away. Who do you think everyone would side with, even if I said we had worked things out?"
"You." both answered.
"Exactly, so if you two don't want to lose friends, and Sasuke doesn't want to be beaten to death," Naru said watching Sasuke pale, "We should agree to what we're going to tell everyone."
"Um, I know some of our friends are protective of you, Naru," Sakura said, "But they would actually hurt Sasuke would they?"
"Ask him." Naru said.
"When we started dating Kiba, Shikamaru, and Chöji all threatened bodily harm if I ever hurt Naru," Sasuke said, "And I think it might have even been a threat when Shino said to treat Naru right. I was also threatened by Iruka-sensei and Hinata's cousin after my confrontation with my brother."
"Really even Neji threatened you," Naru asked, "That's a surprise."
"Wow." Was all Sakura said, "I never knew you were so cared for Naru, I thought it was always just Team 7 and Iruka-sensei until Jiraiya-sama and Shishou came back to the village."
"Oh I was shock as well," Naru said, "Ino told me she was upset she had lost Sasuke but if he ever upset me she would use one of her mind jutsus to make him think he was and 8-year-old girl for the rest of his life, even Hinata threaten to Jyunken him."
"Okay, okay I got it, people are going to hurt me." Sasuke said much paler than usual, "SO can we please come up with something that doesn't end in me in the hospital for the next six months at least."
"We should stick to the truth as much as possible," Sakura said, "That way we remember it and so that it's believable."
"Then it should probably have to do with how you relationship was with me away." Naru said, "So what was that like?"
"Not really any different than before you left." Sakura said, "Except the fan-girls were back, so Sasuke spent most of his time with me because you know how he is with people. We mostly trained and sometimes we ate together, nothing even remotely 'relationship-like'."
"But you did spend most of your time alone together?" Naru asked.
"Yeah, but only when Gai-sensei's team and the other rookies weren't around," Sasuke said, "But I already told you we were only friends."
"I'm not trying to prove you wrong," Naru said, "I believe you guys, besides we can't change the past."
"But everyone knows how much Sasuke missed you," Sakura said, "So how's this going to help."
"Like Kashi-sensei said 'people can change in three years.' Now just give me a moment to think." Naru said.
"Why do I not feel all that confident that my life is in your hands in this?" Sasuke muttered but both girls heard him.
"I'd keep those thoughts to yourself unless you really do want to go around believing you're an 8-year-old girl for the rest of your life." Naru snarled and Sakura laughed.
"I for one think Naru is the best to come up with the story," Sakura said, "She's always been the one to have the last word anyway. Besides think of this as her chance to right our wrongs"
"Thanks Sakura," Naru said, "Okay, so we're going to say that you two fell in love while I was gone, and when I came back Sasuke told me he no longer loved me but Sakura instead. That's why I've been giving you two the cold shoulder."
"And the baby?" Sakura asked, "I'm already three months along and I'm going to start showing soon, so people will start to notices. Not to mention Tsunade-sama knows about it."
"Well, that's were actual facts come in," Naru said, "you had both agreed not to do anything until I got back home but you had both gotten drunk at Sakura's birthday party and things happened."
"And what about you?" Sasuke asked, "What are we supposed say when people ask how you're taking everything."
"The truth," Naru said, "I'm still upset with you both but that we are working out our differences one day at a time and that hopefully one day we'll all be back to normal."
"Okay." Sakura said.
"We have about 15 minutes before Kakashi-sensei is supposed to return," Naru said, "but we all know how he is with time, and I'm emotionally exhausted so why don't the two of you wait and tell him how thinks went. I'm going to go home, tell him if he has any concerns he knows where I live." Naru then shushined away before either could respond.
"I thought things were going fine," Sakura said, "She's always been so quick to forgive people. Why can't we be the same?" Sakura was crying by the end and Sasuke wrapped her in an awkward hug.
"Because we're not strangers," Sasuke said, "We're her family and what we did hurt her more than any stranger or angry villager could. The most we can do is wait for her to be ready."
"Yeah, I guess." Sakura said as she pulled away from Sasuke, "Thanks for comforting me a little."
"No problem," Sasuke said, "Besides you heard Naru we're supposed to fall in love now."
"Oh, what do we tell Kakashi-sensei? The truth or the story?" Sakura asked.
"I think we should tell him the truth, we owe it to him seeing as he went out of his way to help the three of us," Sasuke said, "You should also tell the Hokage the truth, she care about both you and Naru as if you were her daughters, I'll go and tell Iruka-sensei when we leave."
"Why would you do that?" Sakura asked, "You know how protective of Naru he is."
"Naru right we can't undo the mistake we made," Sasuke said, "But I owe it to Naru to make it up to her the best I can. We both know she'll only tell everyone the story we just made up, so that she can protect us from everyone's scorn. What she needs is a shoulder to cry on and seeing as we're why she'll be crying it's only logical she needs Iruka-sensei seeing as she sees him as a brother/father figure."
"You know her so well." Sakura said.
"Of course I do, I love her." Sasuke said, "I may always love her."
"I know but what about us?" Sakura said, "Me and the baby?"
"I don't know to be honest," Sasuke said, "I'll always love my child, but I can't promise you anything. I'm sorry."
"That's fine, as long as you love our child things will work out somehow." Sakura said, "Do you mind waiting for Kakashi-sensei on your own I just remembered I had something to do?" Sasuke just nodded and Sakura took off running.
… … .N. … …
Sakura ran from the training ground straight to the Yamanaka's Flower Shop where she knew she'd find her other female best friend.
"Sakura!" Ino exclaimed upon seeing the crying pinkette, "What's wrong?" Sakura just latched on to Ino as she cried and cried. Ino lead her crying friend upstairs to her room only stopping to ask her mom to take over the shop for her, which her mother complied.
Once in Ino's room it took Sakura a half hour to calm down.
"So do you want to tell me want upset you so much?" Ino asked.
"I can't really talk about it right now," Sakura said, "but I feel like I've ruined everything."
"Is this about why there is so much tension between you, Naru, and Sasuke since she got back?" Ino asked, "Everyone's been curious but we didn't want to ask."
"That's what is about, but I don't want to talk about it too much," Sakura said, "Kakashi-sensei had us talk about it and Naru says it'll get better with time. Can we just leave it there for now? I just need a shoulder to cry on."
"I understand, just know that if you want to talk I'm here." Ino said as she soothingly rubbed her friends back as Sakura started to cry some more.
… … .N. … …
After he finished speaking with Kakashi, who was very disapproving and upset with his students' choices, Sasuke left the training ground and headed to the Academy were he knew he would still find Iruka-sensei grading papers. Once there he knocked on the Teachers' Lounge door.
"Come In."
"Iruka-sensei?" Sasuke said as he entered the room, "I need to speak with you, it's about Naru?"
"Is she hurt weren't you all supposed to be training today?" Iruka asked.
"Physically she's fine." Sasuke said, "It's about something else."
"I figured it would be her coming to talk about what was going on between you three, not you Sasuke." Iruka said giving Sasuke his full attention, "Why don't you come sit down."
"No thanks, I feel safer over here." Sasuke said, "I do however need you to promise to listen to everything before you react."
"Very well, so what did you do?" Iruka asked.
"I cheated on Naru with Sakura and got her pregnant." Sasuke said and paused and waited for Iruka to explode, when the man didn't Sasuke continued. "It was a huge mistake and there was alcohol involved, even if that doesn't explain or solve anything. I still love Naru, but we all know once the council finds out about Sakura's pregnancy they'll force us to marry, though I don't think Sakura has understood that yet."
"I see, and why are you the one telling me this." Iruka asked. "I'm going to take it Naru learned all this when she returned last week?"
"Yes, that's want the cold shoulder was about. Anyway, Kakashi-sensei had us talk things out in private today," Sasuke said, "We, me and Sakura, have started to mend our friendship with Naru; but we all know that it's going to take some time."
"That's true," Iruka said, "What are you all going to do now, this won't stay private for long; people have noticed the tense between you all."
"That's what Naru mentioned once we talked things out." Sasuke said, "She was also worried about Sakura and I once our friends found out what happened; she was worried they would all leave us and side with Naru."
"I'm sure I'm missing a few details of the truth, but yes I can see why your friends would all side with Naru," Iruka said, "She is the victim of both yours and Sakura's betrayal."
"Right, so she came up with a story that made it so that Sakura and I weren't the horrible people we are." Sasuke said, "I had a feeling that when she did come to you she might tell you the lie, instead of the truth."
"Why did you think that?" Iruka asked.
"The lie is that Sakura and I fell in love while spending time together without Naru," Sasuke said, "But we had decided to wait until Naru returned before saying anything to anyone, but during Sakura's Birthday party we got drunk and things happened. When Naru came home we told her how we had fallen in love and Sakura had accidentally gotten pregnant when we slipped up. Naru was of course broken hearted but gave up knowing Sakura and I were really in love with one another."
"Am I to take it the part about the party is true?" Iruka asked.
"Yes, and Naru really didn't find out as soon as she got home." Sasuke said, "She had come straight to my house when she got home, it just happened Sakura had stopped by to tell me about her check-up for the baby and Naru over heard."
"I see." Iruka said, "Is there anything else?"
"I just want you to know both Sakura and I are really sorry and regret this ever happened." Sasuke said, "I've apologized to Naru Countless times, but I don't think she'll ever forgive me. Not that she should, but I would still like her in my life."
"All I can say it that may now you will be more careful with your actions." Iruka said as he stood up, he saw Sasuke flinch, "I know that I promised you bodily harm should you hurt Naru, but I'm not so blind as to see you are also suffering emotionally so don't me so afraid. Actually how are you doing?"
"Honestly, horrible." Sasuke said, "I knew I used to be conceited when I was younger but Naru beat that out of me when we started dating, but now I feel really hated. Kakashi-sensei is disappointed with me, Naru hates me, and I wouldn't be surprised if Sakura does to now."
"Would you like someone to talk to?" Iruka said, "I'll listen if you'd like."
"Very much." Sasuke said before he launched into how he felt about everything that had happened since he learned Sakura was pregnant with his child.

On a completely unrelated note- I've read a few fanfics recently that had Raidou in them and I just wanted to say that the poor guys name is Raidou, not Radio.
