Chapter 16 – Nowadays

Here we go, the final chapter is here!

No One's POV

Jade had been texting her mother quite a bit last night. After her and Tori had gotten home and split off into their separate bedrooms. Jade stayed up texting her mom. She contemplated ringing her, but decided that it would be easier to just talk in person the following morning. After glancing at the clock and seeing it was 2am she decided it best she at least attempted to get to sleep.

A knocking on her bedroom door woke her up.

"Rise and shine, babe" she hears Tori practically sing as she walks into her room carrying a tray; how could anyone be so cheerful of a morning? "I made you breakfast!"

"Mmm" Jade moaned before pulling her duvet over her head.

"Black coffee with two sugars and a plate of freshly cooked pancakes with strawberries, blueberries and kiwi"

"Okay, Vega. You've got my attention" confesses Jade as she pokes her head out from the cover to see Tori sat waiting on the end of her bed. "Coffee" she says reaching out to the tray.

"Aren't you a delight in the morning" Tori smiles, "just get the coffee down you and smile"

"Too early to smile" She says taking a large sip from the mug.

"Pleaseeeee, Jadey. I want to see your beautiful smile"

"Fine" she says forcing a slightly sarcastic smile "better?"

"A little bit. Here, have a pancake"

Both girls sit eating their pancakes in silence, both enjoying them too much to talk.

"Mmm, they were good. Did you make them?" asks Jade

"Yeah, a recipe from mi abuela"

"Well it's amazing"

"What time are we meeting your mom?"

Jade glances over at the clock, "in about an hour and a half, I need to shower. Hair is full of hairspray from last night"

"So do I…" sang Tori "and my mom and Trina have gone on a morning jog… and my dad is working early. We have the house to ourselves for a while"

"Why Miss Vega are you suggesting what I think you are?"

"Why yes, Miss West. I do believe I am" Tori smirks, "why we wouldn't want to waste water when we could be sharing"

"Well, if it's best for the environment. How could I possible say no to that?"

Jade feels Tori's lips suddenly on her own, and her hands already on her chest. Only for a moment because Tori stops as quickly as she'd started.

"I'll go put these dishes downstairs; see you in a minute" winks Tori before practically skipping off.

Jade was already in the shower by the time Tori had put the dishes in the kitchen.

"You're so beautiful" Tori stated, which made Jade turn round once she noticed she was stood watching her.

"I've got the water warmed up for us" she said with a smirk, "how about you drop those pants and join me? It's awful lonely in here" she says flipping her still dry hair over her shoulder.

Tori reached down to the hem of her top and pulled it off over her head, reaching down again and dropping her shorts and panties on the floor and stepping out of them.

"Beautiful" Jade says in almost a trance and reaching her hand out the shower towards Tori.

Taking Jade's hand and stepping into the shower, the two girls were now in a small, but comfortable space.

Tori draped her arms around Jade's neck as Jade let her hands trail up and down Tori's body free of their own accord. They started off on her lower back, but Tori soon felt them wandering up and around to her front so they were softly massaging her chest.

"Jade…" her name fell from Tori's lips as her own hands began to wonder down Jade's pale skin.

Tori's dominance took over when she turned them round so Jade had her back pressed up against the wet shower wall.

"We only have a limited time remember, Trina went jogging in her heels again so I suspect they won't be out long" gasped Tori between spreading small kisses and bites around Jade's neck and collar bone.

Jade could only let out a moan in response as Tori's fingers had now moved down her body, lightly trailing over her stomach and even further down causing a rush of warmth to shoot through her body. Jade let her own fingers travel down to the same spot on Tori as Tori's were on her body.

"Fuck… Jade, oh god"

The girl's motions were almost synchronised causing both girls to become lost in the pleasure they were feeling. The room, now filled with steam from the shower, was also filled with muffled moans of swearing and names from both girls' lips as they each approached their highs.

"I'm coming, I'm coming" rushed Jade

"Shhh… show don't tell" breathed Tori as her body suddenly went stiff with a rush of pleasure surging through her.

"I love you" breathed Jade once she had regained her breath back

"I love you too" smiled Tori as they joined lips again.

Jade's POV

"Jade, Tori! Hey!" we hear my mom call as we walk into the coffee shop

"Hey" we both reply taking a seat at the table she had saved for us. I instantly notice the 3 coffees on the table.

"I remembered what you two drink, bought them for you both" she announced proudly

"Thank you, Caroline" Tori politely responds.

After about 15 minutes of small talk my mom decides to tell us what it was she wanted to talk to me about.

"I've already spoken to the Vega's about this, and now that it's all set I thought it was time to ask you. I have my own apartment; it is just round the corner from here and there is a second bedroom available, for you, Jade. If you want it"

I honestly didn't know what to say for a moment. I then thought back to what it was like when I was last living with her, before she moved out on us.

"Have you stopped drinking?" I answer bluntly. Maybe I should have prepped Tori on the situation because her face suddenly dropped from over the moon to a more shocked expression.

"I haven't had a drink in over a year. I still go to AA, but I'm doing very well, Jade. You know it was never because of you that I left, you know it was because of your father right?"

"I know"

"I had to get out, and my biggest regret was not taking you with me. But you were so happy with getting into Hollywood Arts that I wasn't going to take that away from you."

"I know"

"So I would love for you to move in with me. The room is yours, and I've left it undecorated because I thought you'd like to do that"

I can feel Tori's eyes staring at me.

"I'd love to" I sigh "but if you start drinking again, I'm out. I hated seeing you like that."

"Deal" my mom smiles "come here" she says pulling me into a hug.

I can see Tori happy-clapping out of the corner of my eye. "Oh Jade! I'm so happy for you!" she sings.

"I'll show you the apartment once we've finished here?"

"Yeah. Well… when Tori's finished we're all set"

"I can't drink boiling hot coffee like you two can!" she protests

"Jade this place is amazing" Tori exclaims as she looks round in amazement. My mom had finished showing us round the living area and kitchen, and had now left us in my room. "Jade look! You can see the Hollywood sign from your window!" she then says running to my window.

"Tori, it's the penthouse, you can see almost all of Hollywood. I could throw water balloons on celebrities from here."

"Jade."

"I won't! I'm just saying I could…"

"Know what else?" she says. "You could fit a double bed in here"

"Well observed, Vega"

"I'll be coming over for a looooooot of sleepovers" she winks

"I'm sure you will" I smile.

It's finished! I'm rather relieved tbh... I was really struggling to write this now, but I stuck with it and here it is! I hope you've enjoyed reading it!
