Different Hours

"Oh well, there goes you're guy's chance. Come on Lois and Peter, it's time to go," said Pinz as he grabbed the arm of a protesting Lois.

"Wait…please wait!"

"Too late, Lois. You're father went out the door and we're taking both of you."

"What if I went after him, would you let her go?" asked Meg, all eyes where on her with most of them shocked. Pinz sighed in annoyance. Why can't anybody give me a break, I need to bring somebody to Hell or else my boss is going to rake my ass in hot coals was his thought. In a moment of silence he asked, "Why do you want to save these pitiful souls, Meg? What I can see from your memories they've treated you like dirt since the moment you were born. In fact you wouldn't even be here if your mother wasn't stopped from aborting you in the first place. Isn't that right, Lois?"

Lois looked down shamefully not saying a word. Meg had an inkling that her mother would do that, after all she was a 'mistake'. It was almost tempting to say 'take them away' but, that wouldn't have made her any better them they were. "They're my family and you don't give up on family. Now if I don't return with my grandfather you can take them. Is that a deal?" Pinz considered this for a few seconds. The girl was very honest with her word, a fair player so to speak.

"Ok, it's a deal. Just so long as we come with you. I want to make sure we catch the bastard." Nodding their heads in agreement everyone lined up at the portal, Meg was the leader. Before she went in Leeman took her hand, she turned her head to look at him.

"Be careful, honey," he said, she kissed the mouth in the middle then took a leap inside. It was a brief moment of cool liquid like jumping into a pool but instead of landing softly to the ground she ended up free falling for a few seconds then splat. Meg was alive but her body was crying in pain from the fall.

"Oh Christ," she moaned rolling on her back only to discover two people looking down on her. One was a girl about sixteen with one eye color different from the other. As for her companion she guessed he was male but she couldn't tell. All she knew was he kind of looked like an orange lizard fish with legs. Meg couldn't help but laugh at their expressions, they were staring at her as if she was the one that looked like an alien.

"Hello….do you guys speak English?"

"Course we do," said the girl with the mixed eyes. She helped Meg to her feet. She was about to ask were she was until the strange eyed girl answered for her. "I'm Candy and this is Malingo. We've just arrived here at Babilonium." Instantly Meg knew she was back on the Abarat.

While Meg met Candy and Malingo on six o'clock in the evening the others were scattered on the other Hours. Leeman was dropped at one o'clock in the morning of Xuxux were the Sacbrood scurried restlessly at his sudden fall. He was still alive but unconscious. Peter and Lois fell at one in the afternoon on Hobarookus but in different places. Lois fell on the lap of one of the pirates while Peter fell through the roof of a bar. Guess who's getting drunk at one in the afternoon? As for the Cenobites they weren't as lucky as Peter and Lois. Pinz fell at the Hour of Midnight, Female at three in the afternoon, Chatterer at two in the morning and lastly Butterball at ten in the evening but that wasn't all.

Brian and Stewie ended up at three o'clock in the morning at Commexo City. "My god, Brian there's so many lights," indicated Stewie, they were about to hop to another demention when authorities arrested them on the spot. As for Bryan and Shrwie they ended up on Efreet at six in the morning. Chris was also with them.

"Why did we bring the fat kid again?" asked Bryan pointing at Chris who was taking his clothes off

"I-I don't know man," answered Shrwie then they both laughed. All three of them where high on Abaratian weed. Chris began running around naked in the snow. "They're so pretty!" he shouted. As for Mr. Pudershmit he was at one o'clock in the morning on the other side of the Xuxux pyramid. He'll soon encounter Leeman shortly.
