So I introduced Criminal Minds into the series. What do you think? Spencer is kind of OOC, but I needed him to work into the character I had in mind. I also know the odds of a 23 year old being brought into the position I have Rachel in, in the FBI is unlikely. It works for what I need it to work for.

So working for the BAU was a new experience but it was one I wouldn't change for the world. I truly loved what I did. I had been down in Virginia for about a year. It had certainly been an eventful year that was for sure. We had solved a lot of cases, and I had made a lot of new friends in my team.

I was especially close to one individual. His name is Spencer Reid. He is young just like me, and he is a genius. He graduated from high school at the age of twelve, and just continued his academic career from there. He was really sweet and awkward, but we connected over our young age. We had attempted dating for a bit, but it really didn't work out for us. We were the best of friends though. He was confusing at times, but when you got used to Reid speak it was nice. He was an amazing person and I truly enjoyed spending time with him. I had had some of my favorite memories of this place were made with Spencer.

"Spencer what are we doing here?" I yelled from across the parking lot. Spencer had been ranting and raving all day about a place he just had to show me. We were still dating at this point. He had driven us to a random parking lot and as soon as he stopped the car he had run across the parking lot to some unknown location. He didn't say much he just ran. I guess I was expected to follow. I did just that and on the other side of the parking lot there was a carnival. I saw Spencer waiting there for me.
"Are you coming Rachel?" He asked with a huge grin on his face.

"Of course I am, where to first?" I laughed. We spent the day riding the rides, some of which were kind of shady, eating fair food, and playing games. I was truly having a blast. Spencer even won me a giant stuffed dog.

"You know these games are all just a simple grouping of knowledge. They are actually quite easy to figure out." Spencer started to explain. He even showed me his theory on how to win one of the games, and tried to help me beat one. I failed but I did try. I had a blast that day, and Spencer truly seemed to enjoy himself as well.

The rest of the members of my team were nice, and we all got along. You didn't have much of a choice but to get along when you spent as much time together as the group of us did. Brody and I got along quite well, and the roommate situation was working out nicely for us. Kitty and I also got along, and once you got used to her she was actually quite nice. Spencer had also unofficially moved in with us, and usually spent the night with us in my room.

I had gotten a dog. I adopted a golden retriever puppy from our local shelter. I named him Elliot and he was extremely well trained. Kitty watched him while I was gone. He was my baby and I loved him dearly.

"Rachel didn't you say you were considering getting a dog?" Kitty asked from her place sitting on the living room couch.

"Yeah I was thinking about it why? What's up?" I questioned.

"There is an adorable golden retriever puppy at the local shelter. He was rescued on the side of the road and he's up for adoption." Kitty explained showing me the picture on my computer.

"Oh my god he's adorable." I stated staring at him.

"My friend works there. I could send him a text to hold the puppy until we got there." Kitty smiled up at me.

"Yes let's do it!" I stated. Kitty sent the message and the two of us immediately headed out to the shelter. We took Annie with us because the two would have to get along. We arrived and Kitty's friend showed us to the cage where the puppy was. He opened the gate and the puppy immediately ran up and sat on my feet. It was love at first sight. The only thing that needed to be tested was whether or not Annie liked him. Kitty set Annie down and after a brief standoff which involved the two just sniffing each other, the puppy reached out and batted Annie with his paw. Annie started playing back and the two were the best of friends from that point on. We got the puppy back to the house after buying him some supplies, and he was currently meeting Spencer.

"You got a dog?" Spencer asked.

"I did. Isn't he adorable?" I answered.

"I… I am not used to dogs…" Spencer stated.

"But you've been around Annie a lot. Why are you okay with her?" Kitty asked.

"Annie is more of a cat that barks than anything else." Spencer stated. "It's large dogs that I'm not used.
Spencer explained.

"He's adorable Spencer, just give him a chance." I prompted. Spencer sighed and sat down on the ground. The puppy that had since been named Elliot flounced over to him and plopped in his lap. He then immediately started licking Spencer's face. Spencer wore a grimace at first, but it soon turned into a smile.

"Okay maybe he's not that bad." Spencer smiled. Spencer made me laugh he had instantly bonded to Elliot, and even though he was my dog Spencer was his second favorite. I would often find the two curled up in my bed asleep when I came home from my morning runs. I really did love this puppy.

Everyone back home was still the same. Santana and Brittany had gotten engaged and were planning on getting married in a few months. We kept in constant contact, well as much as my job allowed.

I was headed home after a long stay in Florida working on a mass murder case. The unsub in this case was strangling cops families. We had created the profile, and eventually caught the man. This was a case where Brody had actually traveled with us. Spencer, Brody, and I were in Brody's car on the way back to the apartment. I was dozing off in the back sleep; I hadn't gotten much sleep, when my phone ringing woke me up. I looked at the caller ID and saw it was Brittany. As soon as I said hello the screaming began.

"Hello?" I answered.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god! Rachie, Rachie, Rachie, Rachie, Rachie; guess what, guess what, guess what, guess what!" Brittany yelled into the phone. I was holding it about a foot away from my ear with a grimace on my face. Brody and Spencer were laughing in the front seat; they hadn't met Brittany, but they had heard many stories about her.

"What Britt?" I asked.

"Santana proposed!" Brittany screamed.

"What did you say?" I asked smiling.

"Oh shoot! I ran out without answering!" Brittany yelled, and I heard ruffling and the sound of her running into the other room. I then heard an oaf sound as I'm guessing Brittany threw herself at Santana. Brittany then started screaming yes over and over again. Santana took the phone.

"I'm guessing this is Rachel?" Santana asked.

"Yeah, congratulations girl!" I laughed. "Who'd of thought you'd be the first one between Noah, you, and I that would get hitched.

"I know right?" She laughed. "I'm glad you made Britts realize she didn't answer me. I was a bit worried for a second."

Noah had found a girlfriend, and was extremely happy. He had also moved up to manager of the television department in the store. He was planning a trip down to Virginia to see me, and all I could do was hope that I didn't get called out on a case out of town while he was here. I had requested vacation, but that didn't mean much in our job. Santana, Brittany, and Noah's girlfriend were supposed to be coming down with him to meet me. I was hoping to take him on a tour of DC and all the sights that came along with it.

The cases were hard to handle, but it was what I was truly meant to do. I really did love it. Things just fit together when I was down here. The only thing which was missing was a certain tattooed bad boy who I missed dearly.

Sam had completely cut out everyone from back in Lima. The week after I moved out he also moved out of the apartment. He refused to talk to anyone from our mutual group of friends. I hadn't heard much from him. I saw on facebook though that he was spending an awful lot of time with my old best friend Quinn. This kind of pissed me off because this would be two of my exes she had hooked up with. She was also hooking up with Finn after we broke up. I had a bit of a break down after I found this out. This held especially true because pictures of the two of them started showing up less than two months after Sam's storm out. The big shock came about nine months after I'd moved down to Virginia.

"You've got to be fucking kidding me!" I yelled at my computer screen.

"What's up Rachel?" Kitty asked from her spot on the couch curled up with Annie. Elliot was curled up at my feet. Brody and Spencer had gone out somewhere doing some sort of guy bonding time.

"My fucking ex is engaged to my ex best friend! They haven't even been together a year!" I spit.

"Wait the ex that stormed out when you told him you got the job?" Kitty asked.

"The one and only. I just can't believe it. I mean we never technically ended our relationship. I was so pissed. I took out my phone and called Santana. There was a bit of Lima Heights in me that wanted to get out.

"¿Has visto lo que la puta estúpida ha hecho ahora? En serio no se cansa de mi segundo descuidado? Al igual que siempre? ¿Y qué demonios le pasa? Él no podía soportar ella cuando estábamos juntos. Hablando de que nunca técnicamente rompió! Quiero decir que sé que estaba con Spencer, pero no nos dieron comprometida! No me gusta esto. No me gusta en absoluto." I tended to yell in Spanish when I was angry. It was a habit I'd developed from being friends with Santana for so long.

"¿Qué hizo Quinn? Y ¿por qué estamos hablando en español?" Santana answered.

"Okay so Rachel talks in Spanish when she's pissed. Good to know." Kitty commented from her seat.

"Porque me estoy tirando enojado como la mierda. ¿Cómo pudo hacer esto? Quiero decir que no creo que yo estaría tan enojado si no fuera Quinn. ¿Por qué es siempre ella?" I started crying. "Ah, y cheque facebook."

"De acuerdo, ¿qué estoy buscando ... Oh esa maldita zorra. Voy a ir todo Lima Heights en sus feos, falsos, extensiones rubias. No me gusta nada de esto en absoluto. Rachel le voy a patear el culo!" Santana ranted. Like I said Santana talked in Spanish when she was angry, and I had picked up the habit. Let's just say I was fuming.

"Why is it always Quinn San? Why?" I cried into the phone.

"Oh midget I don't know. I wish I could be there with you. I so wish I could." Santana sighed into the phone.

I don't know why this upset me so much. No that's not true I did know why. It was the same reason that Spencer and I didn't work out. I was still madly in love with Sam, and I don't know if I ever would stop being in love with him.

Translations

Rachel: Have you seen what the stupid whore has done now? Seriously doesn't she get tired of my sloppy second? Like ever? And what the hell is wrong with him? He couldn't stand her when we were together. Speaking of we never technically broke up! I mean I know I was with Spencer, but we didn't get engaged! I do not like this. I do not like this at all.

Santana: What did Quinn do? And why are we talking in Spanish?

Rachel: Because I'm fucking pissed as shit. How could he do this? I mean I don't think I would be nearly as angry if it wasn't Quinn. Why is it always her? Oh and check facebook.

Santana: Okay, what am I looking... Oh that fucking slut. I'm gonna go all Lima Heights on her ugly, fake, blonde extensions. I don't like anything about this at all. Rachel I'm going to kick her ass!
