Welcome to chapter 3 I am happy people like the story and sorry about the wait since my laptop broke and have to wait till I get a new one so I am trying to update when I can. Anyway this chapter will be done different since there will be a flash back in it and I might add something that the manga or anime didn't have it was an idea from a review since it will add to emotions and how Yoshii's friend react to him being in game. Now as for the parings well you will see this chapter. No flames and thank you edboy4926 for the idea i used in this chapter,

Chapter 3: First bosses, new coats, and eyes on the outside

It had been two months since Sword Art Online had been set up and two months Akihisa Yoshii had decided to take the plunge and risk his very life to save his dear friend. People who found out about this called him an idiot for risking his very life for his friend. Others called him a true friend but his plunge had affected his other friends outside the game when they found out.

Akihisa friends walked into the hospital and asked to see the section of people trapped in the game.

"Come this way please." the nurse told them.

As they followed the nurse to the back Yuuji looked over to his friends mostly Mizuki and Minami when they found Akihisa was trapped, things between the two fell fast. Since Mizuki had been the last one to see him before he made the jump. She even told them she knew what he was going to do and tried to stop him. But he had somehow talked her into letting him go since his very first friend was trapped in the game. Minami had not taken that very well she just yelled at her friend saying she should had tried harder to stop him. This end it with her crying saying she was right but she couldn't change the past.

Yuuji noticed that things between them was shaky at best but they seemed to be working things out but he felt there was more to it then they let on since they spoke in private one night. But what was weird was that whole school never figured that the idiot of the school would ever do something like this. Many said he would die in the first day but he didn't he was still alive for now.

"Here is the room. His sister is already here looking over him." The nurse walked away as they entered the room.

Akira looked over as the door opened and saw her brothers friends walk in. they always came to see her brother when school let out or when they had time off.

"I see you came back."

"Of course, we came to see if there has been any change in him?"

"No not yet. He is still asleep, I wish I could do more but I can't since I might remove what his wearing and it will kill…" She said with sadness in her voice, not being able to finish the sentence.

Yuuji looked around him and saw boys, girls, men, and women all on a bed hooked up to the game. He saw other people sitting around their loved ones some leaving flowers. He even saw some people talking to them hoping they would hear them but it would do no good. He sighed as he wondered when his friend will wake up.

"How are thingx with your girlfriend?" asked Akira.

After Yuuji had found out his friend was in the game he was sadden he didn't even care about class anymore since his friend could die. His old childhood friend Shouko managed to snap him out of it and they started to date as he was finally starting to return her feelings.

"Things are going fine but she couldn't come cause of her classes."

"I see, well its better she didn't come since the room would be full of too many people."

She was about to turn on the TV but the door opened revealing a few people in lab coats. They walked over to all the sleeping people and started to look them over but what surprised Akira was they each brought a small screen and handed it to Akira.

"What's going on?" She asked.

A man in with glasses walked up to her with a clipboard and spoke.

"We all work for Kayaba Akihiko, the creator of Sword Art Online. He wishes to apologize to all the people who have been stuck in the game. So he has arranged a way for everyone to see what's happening in the game."

"Really!?" They all yelled thinking they could what was happening to their friend.

"Yes but the screen you're holding will only work once a day and for only an hour. You also can't save the screen for one day and carry the next hour over. If you turn on the screen it won't turn off until the hour is up. Once it's up you won't be able to see what's happening till tomorrow. But be careful you might see things you don't want to see. Maybe you will see his death." The man let out a dark grin before he turned to talk to the rest of the people telling them the same thing and the screens already had their family's or friends in on it.

Akira only looked at her brothers friends before turning the small screen on. It opened up showing Akihisa in his Sword Art Online armor along with his stats but what they found weird was that he had a different name

"Yoake?" They heard other screens turning on but heard a yell.

"COMMENCE ATTACK!"

They looked at the screen and read. Yoake's location: First floor boss room. In a party with Kirito and Asuna. Status: Alive.

They saw him holding a sword running at few monsters with other players.

Back in Sword Art Online

Yoake didn't know why but as he charged at one of ruin Kobold Sentinels he got the feeling he was being watched.

"Must be my imagination." he said to himself.

"Yoake! Make sure to stay focus!" Kirito yelled at him.

All that was heard that moment was the yells of every one running towards the boss as Yoake stayed with squad with Kirito, Asuna and the squad leader Kibaou. The battle had started with Diabel commanding all the squads. Squad D, E and F were ordered to take the sentinels away from the main group.

"Roger!" Yoake heard his friend say before parrying a sentinels attack and shouting "Switch!"

He was about to switch with his friend but was beaten to it by Asuna who ran at the Sentinel and slayed it in one hit.

'I thought Kirito said she was an amateur but just wow!'

Yoake looked over to his friend who spoke

"Good job."

The battle continued for a few minutes until the Illfang, the kobold lord dropped his weapons. Yoake looked over to see his life in red. He looked over to Diabel who said he would do the final blow.

"I thought we were going to surround it as a group?"

Yoake saw his blade glow getting ready to strike but the boss reached for its blade and pulled it out. Yoake saw his friends eyes widen in fear for some reason.

"Kirito what's wrong?!" Yoake yelled as he slashed one of the sentinels across the chest and moved to cover Asuna's back but heard his friend's yells.

"NO! Jump back as fast you can!"

Yoake looked over to the boss who jumped into the air holding its blade jumping from pillar to pillar.

'What speed but how can something so big move so damn fast?!'

The boss only headed for the ground with one slash he cut Diabel shocking everyone as he was thrown a few feet away before letting out a roar as other players tried to hold it off.

"Diabel!"

Kirito and Yoake ran over to the fallen leader as the fight continued behind them. Yoake saw his friend bent down and pick him up. Trying to offer him a potion since his health was about to reach zero. But he refused it.

'What why the hell is he refusing it?! Doesn't he know what will happen to him if his health reaches zero?'

He saw Diabel only told his friend that he was a beta tester and he knew what he was trying to do making Kirito's eyes widen as Yoake didn't understand what he meant he only managed to give his friend some final words telling them he was also a beta tester. His eyes widen in fear as he him die and disappear into the game.

'So we really will die in here… I knew I could die in here but to see it happen right in front of me…'

Yoake saw his friend stand still in thought before turning to the boss. He gave him a look that said you got my back?

Yoake only gave him a reassuring smile before standing next to his friend. Asuna had seemed to catch on and stood next to the two.

"I'll help as well." She said.

"Thanks."

"Don't know how much help I'll be, but let's go!"

The three began running at the boss ready to fight.

"We do this like how we did it with the sentinels."

"Roger"

"Got it."

Kirito charged his blade as Yoake saw the boss do the same thing. They only collided their blades creating a small force sending both back a bit.

"Switch!"

Asuna followed up Kirito's attack as she ran for the boss starting a sword skill. Yoake saw the boss eye widen and was about to call out but was beaten to it.

"ASUNA!"

She managed to duck avoiding the blade of the boss. But the hood she was wearing was burnt revealing her true looks. As she managed to do a sword skill on it, it pushed Illfang further back. Yoake heard her say "Switch!" As he ran in after her he saw her go back and help his friend back as ran for the boss. The boss bring his blade down as Yoake slid under him getting behind him as he charged his blade and struck it from behind, sending it towards the ground before it got back up and charged at them.

"It's coming back. Get ready."

Kirito ran up first as it brought its blade down reflecting it to make room for Asuna to deliver another attack. Kirito continued his assault as he charged his blade for another attack he aimed for the boss blade.

"What's that?"

Yoake saw the boss charge his blade but was holding it different then he was before.

"Crap he is going to do a trick move!"

Yoake ran ahead just as Kirito was about to be hit by the blade but found his friend had blocked it in time but the force of the attack pushed him towards Kirito and Asuna knocking them down.

"Ouch!"

"Yoake, what were you thinking!?"

"I saw him holding his blade in a weird way so I knew he was going to do something different. He avoided your attack and was about to hit you. So I decided to block it and prevent you from losing any HP, in this game we need all our health."

They looked up and saw the boss's blade glowing red ready to strike Asuna readied herself to defend it. But as the blade came down they were saved by someone who pushed attacked the boss. Yoake looked to see other players coming to their aid now trying to hold off the boss.

"We'll hold him off till you recover!"

Yoake help himself up as he saw the other players attacking the boss but where blown away as it jumped into the charging its blade again.

"I won't let you!"

Kirito charged his blade and jumped into the air interrupting its skill by cutting through it doing damage making it fall on the ground. He ran to finish the boss off he was about to ask Asuna for help but a certain thought went through his mind.

'Remember it doesn't matter how good you're Kazuto, I will always have your back. I may be weak in some games but it doesn't hurt to have back up right? We are friends after all.'

"Yoake! One last hit we can do it together!"

Yoake looked stunned he thought he would ask Asuna for help but he smiled and ran beside his friend.

"Right!"

They both charging there blades yelling as Kirito deflected the blade making an opening for Yoake who followed up with an attack. One after another Yoake kept the assault up not giving it any chance of recovery.

Asuna saw how Yoake and Kirito kept attacking like they could read each other's moves and knew what to do next.

"It's like they're in perfect sync." she said to herself.

"One final hit!"

They both charged their swords at the same time and struck the boss, cutting right through it as it showed to attacks before it disappeared in a blinding light covering the whole room. Yoake and Kirito looked to see the light fading from the room. The room was filled with silence as someone yelled.

"We… We did it!"

The room was filled with cheers of the people who helped beat the first room boss. Kirito was hunching over catching his breath as he looked at his screen. He had received the last attack bonus earing him a rare item.

"Midnight Coat?"

He closed his screen and walked over to his friend who was sitting on the ground looking at his screen.

"Yoake are you ok- What!?"

He looked at his friends screen and couldn't believe what he was reading.

"Last attacking bonus? But how?!"

"You got me Kirito, but it says I get a rare item."

Yoake clicked the screen and read.

"Daybreak Coat?" The screen vanished as the item went into his inventory.

"Yoake, your idiot luck must really work in here?"

Yoake could have sworn he heard his friend's laughs but ignored.

"What do you mean?"

"Well normally only one person would get the rare item for doing the last attack. That would be either me or you since we finished it off. But we both seemed to get it."

"Is that bad?" Yoake asked as he stood up and sheathed his sword.

"Well no but it rarely happens since it might be considered a glitch some might say, but looks like we both got a rare item."

"Maybe it's because we are such good friends?"

"Maybe, but I still say it's your idiots luck." Kirito said with a grin.

"Says the guy with the luck to push people away."

"Touchy aren't we?"

"Good work you two?"

They turned to see Asuna and the man who helped them out.

"That was pretty good teamwork you two. Congratulations, the victory belongs to you two."

"Well we are good friends." Yoake said as he put his arm around his friend. But Kirito only stayed silent avoiding the praise from them.

"I mean we didn't do all the work beside Asuna helped out as well." Yoake said as he did a small to Asuna thanking her for help. Earning the praise of many people who started to clap for them. He looked over to his friend who looked like he wanted to smile but their joy was ruined by an outburst.

"Why!?"

They all turned to look at the person who shouted.

"Why did you let Diabel die?"

"What are you talking about we didn't let him die." Replied Yoake.

"Shut up! I'm not talking to you! I'm talking to your friend Yoake! He knew the bosses technique, if he had told us from the start my friend wouldn't have died."

Yoake saw his friend stiffen and saw the other players start to talk among each other causing some worry in him.

'This is bad... It won't be long till they figure out...

"He must be a beta tester!" Someone yelled.

'Crap!'

Yoake saw the guy start to say there were other beta testers among them. Telling them to come out. Yoake saw everyone start to look around to see if it was true, he looked over to Asuna and her friend who were looking around as well. He looked over to his friend Kirito who gave him a look that he was thinking of something.

'This is bad... At this rate…' Kirito only remembered the last words he was given by the fallen player. He swallowed and knew what he had to do but only hoped his friend would get involved.

Yoake saw Asuna and her friend try to talk to the other players trying to calm them down but heard his friend give a dark laugh making everyone look at him.

"A beta tester? I wish you wouldn't compare me to those newbies…"

"What?"

"Most of the thousands beta testers were nothing but beginners who didn't even know how to level up. You guys are better than them." Kirito said as he began to walk away as Yoake decided to follow. "But I'm not like them at all. I made it higher than anyone else during the beta test. The reason I knew the bosses skills is because I fought monsters with katana skills on floors far above us. I also know way more than any information broker."

Everyone was stung by his words not believing him.

'Kirito what the hell are you doing?!' Yoake thought to himself. 'Why are you trying to make everyone hate you? I know this isn't you so what are you up to? Wait...' Yoake thought to himself before realizing what he was doing and smiled sadly.

"That's way worst then a beta tester you're cheating! A cheater!" Someone pointed at him.

"There is no way you could that alone."

Kirito was about to speak,

"Your right he didn't do it alone." Yoake said as he got a grin making people step away from him.

"He had help, my help."

"What!?"

People started to look at him and his friend in fear. Yoake saw his friend's eyes widen with shock not believing what his friend was doing.

"Why do you think I was able to match his sword skills on this floor? Heck we even beat the boss at the same time. I helped him during the beta testing that way we made it higher than before."

"You two are nothing but cheaters!" Yelled the players as Yoake shrugged it off, as they continued there ranting they were called betas and cheaters.

"You're both Beaters!"

"Hmmm… Beaters… not a bad name right Yoake?" Kirito smiled as he looked over to his friend who nodded.

"Sounds kind of cool to me I like it."

Everyone stood away from them as Kirito opened his screen and Yoake copied his movements.

"Don't ever confuse me and Yoake with the other testers."

They both pressed their screens using their new items. They were both wearing their new coat and people saw that they were the opposite of each other. One wearing a coat as black as midnight and the other wearing a coat that looked like the colors of the sun rising in the morning.

Kirito began to walk towards the door that lead to the next floor followed by his friend passing other players who were glaring at them. As they made their way to the door they were approached.

"You two really are leaving?"

"Sorry if you will miss our company Asuna but we aren't really liked right now." Yoake said to her as he turned his back to her as his friend spoke.

"Asuna you'll be very strong so if someone you trust ever invites you to join a guild, don't turn them down. There's a big limit to what you can do as a solo player."

"Then what about you?"

Kirito only sighed as he pulled up his screen disbanding his party. He was about to open the door but got a message.

"Huh?"

He opened it and was shocked.

"Yoake?"

"Don't think I'm letting you go alone after I came in after you. Beside like you said a solo player can't go alone. Were friends til the end? Don't worry Asuna, I won't leave him alone so don't worry about him. He'd be so lost without me."

"Sure I would." Kirito said annoyed but only accepted the party invite making a party with his friend.

"Yoake, let's go."

"Right."

They both walked through the door leaving Asuna behind.

As they made their way through the door and to the next floor. They were blinded by a bright light and found themselves in in open filed.

"Weird place for us to end up huh?" Yoake looked at Kirito who raised his fist and tried to punch Yoake who ducked it.

"What the hell man?!"

"What do you mean what the hell!? Why would you say you're a beta?!"

"I couldn't let you take all that hate by yourself beside I know what you were doing, and I won't let you suffer anymore then you have too because of other players hating on all betas!"

Yoake only caught his next fist and bent his arm behind his back causing his friend some pain.

"Ouch!"

"You need to work out a bit more."

"And you don't?!"

"Well, all the teachers make me move stuff so in a way yes I do work out."

Yoake let go of his friend's arm.

"So you're going to stick by me after all?"

"Of course well until I buy a home to live in and I have a place to stay. You're welcome to come by."

"Whatever, let's just go we have a long way to go before the end." Kirito said as he pulled out his sword hearing the sounds of monsters around him appear.

"Yes we do. 1 floor down 99 to go."

Yoake pulled out his own sword and stood back to back with his friend.

"Let's see if you can keep up with my level in Sword Art online."

"Just watch me."

They both charged at the monsters yelling. As the screen outside turned off.

Outside SAO

"No that can't be all! An hour couldn't have already passed." Yelled Mizuki and Minami.

But they turned to the other people in the room and the screens they had where turning off as well. They all now had a red light.

"We have no choice but to wait for tomorrow." Said Yuuji in a reassuring voice as his friend looked at him wondering why he was calm.

"Look at least we know he is alive and doing well beside, look you two I know you both care for him but you have to remember his only sister is worried about him as well. Heck you heard her she hasn't seen him in a while since she went overseas to study and he had to raise himself."

Both girls looked over to Akihisa sister who was looking at her sleeping brother.

"Akira…"

"Don't worry about me, you saw how he did in the game with his friend. He should be find I don't think he will be dead anytime soon. I'm more worried about him finding a girlfriend."

"What!?"

"That's right he can't do that it's just a game." Yelled Minami.

"But remember those are real people in there, and they can feel everything." Akira said with a small dark aura.

The girl's eyes widen as she said that and looked at their friend. Having their own thoughts.

"He won't find someone…"

"No one will fall for him…"

Days continued to pass as they every day they saw how their friend was changing always talking to his friend trying to make up for lost time over the years. They wondered if he would ever escape since more people kept dying because of the game.

April 8 2023 Floor 11: Taft

Yoake and Kirito were both seated next to each other holding cups as they were being thanked by the moonlight Black cats. Kirito and Yoake had saved them from being killed early in the morning, much to Yoake's relief in saving people from facing death so soon.

"Here's to us, the Moonlit Black Cats! Cheers!"

"Cheers!"

Yoake and Kirito both looked at each other before being spoken to.

"And here's to Kirito and Yoake the men who saved our lives!"

"Cheers!"

Kirito seemed to be a bit surprised by their cheers so Yoake led for them,

"Cheers!"

They were being thanked but Yoake noticed the girl of the group was looking at Kirito.

"Umm thank you for saving me. I was so scared… then you came and saved me and my friends."

"No problem my friend Kirito was like knight in shining armor huh?"

Yoake said as he nudged his friend who gave him an annoyed look as Yoake gave a nervous smile as he noticed the girl blush at the knight comment.

They were both approached by one of players.

"Ummm... I'm sorry to ask this, but what level are you guys?"

Kirito and Yoake who was choking on his drink looked a bit shocked by the question.

"I'm level 20 or so." replied Kirito as he looked at his real level around 40.

"I'm about 2 levels below him so I'm 18." Yoake didn't want to lie but he had worked hard for this level in fact he was level 38 a bit away from his friend. They had worked with each other taking on any quest they could getting any useful items. They had started to take the harder missions hoping to spare some people from doing them and getting sent to their deaths.

"You two really aren't that different then us." He replied.

"Well we tend to have each other's backs since we're friends from a long time ago." Yoake replied as his friend Kirito nodded in agreement with him.

"Keita, you don't need to be so polite to us. We're just normal players like you."

"Oh. Well, how would you two think about join our guild?"

"That's kind of random to ask two guys you just met don't you think?" Yoake asked the guild leader.

"I know it's kind of out of the blue, but the only one we have who can occupy the vanguard is Tetsuo, and a mace user. Her name is Sachi."

Yoake and Kirito looked over to the girl being patted on the head. She was the one Kirito had saved earlier.

"I'd planned to have her switch to sword and shield use so she can finally fight in front line. But she says that she isn't really sure how. Do you two think you show her the ropes?"

Sachi looked hurt by her friend's words.

"Don't talk like I'm useless, beside I can't fight in the front I'd be too scared."

"What are you saying? Just hide behind your shield."

"You've always been a scaredy cat."

They were poking fun at Sachi but Yoake spoke up.

"Even if scared you can't force her to do something she doesn't want. That could end up playing badly for all you if one of friends is put in something they aren't skilled at."

"Yoake is right you should let Sachi be what she wants and let her work her way up to sword."

"Thank you Kirito." Sachi said with a smile.

"Think nothing of it Sachi, but if you really want to I can still show you how to use a sword to be better ready for anything."

She nodded thinking about Kirito's offer.

"Everyone in our guild is from our school's PC Research club."

"So all of you know each other then?"

"Yes it makes it easier to trust each other. Umm not to say you aren't trust worthy, don't worry about if you two are both feeling left out you'll fit in soon enough. Well what do you say want join?"

Kirito and Yoake looked at each other and decided to speak in whispers.

"So Kirito you want to join them? Could be nice to talk with others at night?"

"Hmm, I don't know since I think we have been doing ok with just the two of us. Beside what do you think will happen if they find out I'm a Beater?"

"You're thinking too much on this besides, they don't look all that bad, and they need our help. I don't think they will live if they get stuck again like that. I mean maybe it was fate that we met up?"

"Fate?" Asked Kirito with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes, you never what will be thrown at us. Beside if we're in a guild with other people they won't think you're a Beater since you wouldn't need the help right?"

Kirito bit his lip looking over to guild members and Sachi before looking back at his friend.

"Maybe…"

"It could also be our chance to make some new friends, since you need them more than me."

"Hey... That was uncalled for, but fine you think this is a good idea then ok."

They looked at the guild who were staring at the two.

"Ok we'll join your guild." Kirito and Yoake said with normal smile causing the entire guild to smile and crowd around the two.

"Welcome to the Moonlit Black Cats guild! Let's all do our best."

The rest of night was spent welcoming the new guild members before it grew late and they went to bed as Yoake and Kirito decided to turn in for the night as well walking to their room.

"Hey Yoake...?"

"What's up?"

"I'm having second thoughts about us joining."

"I can see why since your still not use to talking with a lot of people who are friendly. Don't worry about beside Sachi really looked happy in you joining the guild."

"Really?"

"You didn't see the way she looked at you?" Asked Yoake

"No, maybe she wants some help in sword training?"

"Maybe but I say there is more to it but for now let's just get a good night sleep for once. It's been a week since we slept in an inn."

"You're right. I'll see you in the morning ok? Night Akihisa."

"Same to you Kazuto."

They both said their good nights before going into their rooms which were right next to each other. The next couple of days were spent helping the guild with a few missions. Getting their Cor up, and getting items. Yoake saw that Kirito was teaching Sachi how to use a sword in order to be suited for close combat if she needed to fight later on. About one more week had passed and he was exiting his room.

"*Yawn* Early in the morning and Kirito is already off with Sachi again. I wonder if there is something up with those two. Ehhh, whatever I need to see if the other guild members need any help."

Yoake made his way down stairs and was handed note by the inn keeper. He read and only nodded before heading outside being met with the sunshine.

"Seems they don't need me today since they are taking a break as well. Might well go see if they have anything I need at the shop. Might as well go check I might run into Kirito with Sachi."

Yoake smiled thinking he would catch them together. He stooped to think would his friend really try and have a relationship? But continued his walk to the market he looked at his blade and his thoughts took him to a certain blacksmith.

'Lis... I wonder where she is? I hope she's still alive, I doubt she would get herself killed since she said she would only go out to look for stuff to help in her work.' He pulled his sword from his sheath and looked at it in his screen. 'My sword is in bad shape again but I don't want to get rid of it, it's her first work and I was her first business. What to do what to do? I'll check the shops might get a good deal.'

He made his way to the market and saw many people walking talking to venders trying to get good deals. He saw a few people looking happy and thought.

'Weird that so many people look happy when we are in a death trap. Maybe they don't want to think about and are our trying to make best of what they got with. On the bright, side no school!'

He smiled at the thought of not doing homework. As he was looking at the shops hoping to find something he could buy with the Cor he had. He saw some good looking blades but where way out of his reach four now so he decided to look at the normal swords.

"Damn, this game really makes you work for something you want I really wanted a cooler sword one that matched my coat." He put the sword down and turned to leave the shop but heard two guys talking.

"Did you see that cute black smith near the exit of the town?"

"Sure did man, but I wonder why is she working as a blacksmith I mean there better jobs out there."

"Don't know but I mean she did have pretty eyes I wonder if she is seeing anyone?"

Yoake only grabbed one by the shoulder want to confirm something.

"Excuse me but did you happen to know this black smiths name?"

"Uhhh I think it started with an L, I think sorry I don't remember since I wasn't paying much attention to what she was saying if you catch my drift man."

Yoake just got a tick and wanted to punch the guy in the face for that remark but just let it go as he made his way towards the exit of the town. Thinking he would see Lis.

'Those damn bastards talking about Lis like that! I should punched their lights out... but why bother, they aren't worth it. I hope what they said is true about Lis being over here. Maybe I was reading too much into this, I mean I just want to see her again. Huh is that her?'

Yoake looked in front of him and saw a familiar girl hammering away near a fire. She continued to work away as she put a burning sword in the water. As he got a good look at her he saw that her normal armor had changed and she was wearing sturdier armor for more protection.

'Looks like it's her. Wonder if she remembers me? I can hope, but she looks kind of busy, should I even bother her? Ehh might as well since I want to see her as well.'

Yoake walked over her as she turned around to look at her work. Yoake approached and spoke.

"Yo Lisbeth!"

As he called out to her he expected her to say hi but he didn't what was coming.

"I told you guys to go away!"

She threw a small hammer at Yoake as he eyes widen before he took the hit and fell on the ground in pain grabbing his face.

"Ahhhhhhh! What the hell?! What did I do to deserve this?!"

Lisbeth's eyes widen as she heard the yells of pain.

'Wait that sounds like... It couldn't be?'

"Ouch! Damn Lisbeth did I make you mad or something?"

Lisbeth saw Yoake get up from the ground and walk towards her holding her hammer.

"Yoake?!"

"Here I think you dropped this, well more like threw it at me."

Lisbeth took the hammer she had thrown at Yoake and started to apologize.

"Yoake I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to throw that at you!"

Lis looked at Yoake whose health had dropped a bit.

"No it my fault I think. But why so jumpy, did something spook you?"

"No it's just that I had some problems earlier with these two guys."

"You don't say? I ran into two guys a bit back when I was thinking of you." Yoake said as he scratched the back of his head.

Lisbeth blushed at what he had said before speaking.

"You were thinking of me?"

"Umm... I mean it's just that I missed hanging out with you and I did promise you lunch. If you're not busy. Since I can see you have some work."

"Well I can work on them later, I need a break anyway beside I want to know what you been up to?"

"Not much but we can talk as we eat, like I said it's my treat Lisbeth."

"Ok then let's go then let me just close shop."

"You mean your mat?"

"Never mind what it is!"

"Ok, ok. No need to yell I'm right here. Let's get going."

Lisbeth nodded hanging a closed sign and walking towards Yoake who led her towards the town.

Outside SAO

Akihisa friends had just arrived as his sister had turned on the screen when the light had turned green. They were met with an image they didn't like.

"Who is that girl walking next him?" asked Minami as she Akihisa talking a brown haired girl who was smiling.

"I don't know I just turned on the screen and she was there next him." Replied Akira as they saw them heading towards a small diner talking about a few things they didn't understand. They saw them sit as they heard them speak.

"So Lisbeth how have you been since we last spoke?"

"Isn't that something that I should be asking you Yoake? Did you ever find your friend and what's with your coat?"

"Maybe but I'm not really a person that likes to talk about myself much. I'm more interested in you right now besides. Can we please get something to drink?"

Yoake had asked has one of NPC taking orders who nodded before going inside to get them a few drinks.

"Like I said Lisbeth order whatever you want it's me. As for my coat, what? You don't like it, it was a bonus item from killing the boss on the first floor."

"Wait? You were in the group that killed the boss?!"

"Sure was, I also managed to find my friend and the group we were in managed to kill it."

"I'm not saying I don't like it it's just why that color?"

"Don't ask me I just got the item I didn't pick it beside what have you been up to?"

"Not much really beside I'm finally starting to get some more work which is great."

The NPC brought them each a drink but to Akihisa's friends surprise it was tea.

"Akihisa-kun drinks tea?" asked Mizuki

"It looks like it, didn't know the idiot had it in him to act all fancy in front of a girl."

Lizbeth and Yoake spent the rest of their time talking about the things they both experienced since they were all stuck in SAO but Lis could tell he had something on his mind but decided to ask him something she wanted to know but was beat to it.

"Lisbeth do you have a boyfriend?"

"What?! Why ask that all of sudden?!"

"Well it's just that a girl like you looks like you would have a lot of guys after you."

"That's a bit of true but most the guys that talk to me are pervs."

"Hey…"

"I didn't mean you…"

"Don't worry about it since I kind of know what you mean, since I ran into some guys that were talking about you. I take it that's why you threw the hammer at me?"

Lis only let out a nervous smile. "I said I was sorry didn't I?"

Yoake let out a grin before Lis spoke up.

"Since you're digging into my life do you mind if I ask if you have girlfriend?"

"I don't mind at all, and no I don't, never had one either."

"That's strange I thought you would have had one." Lis said sounding a little happy he was single.

"Don't know why you say that girls don't really like me. Hell most of time I end up getting hurt by them."

"Hurt by them?"

"Yeah."

"Well there must be one girl you have a crush on?"

"Well there is one girl that I sort of liked in the real world. But I really don't think I should talk about her since I mean I'm here with you."

Lisbeth liked that he wanted to avoid talking about another girl in front of her but she was curious.

"Can you at least give me a hint?"

"Well…"

All the girls outside leaned into the screen trying to hear who the girl he had a crush on was.

"She is my friend's sister." He said with a normal smile making all the girls outside with an aura of gloom since they weren't the ones he liked.

"Your friend's sister? Does he know?"

"No and neither does she. Before I entered the game I called her asking her what kind of guy she was into."

"Really?"

"Yeah didn't get an answer, I only told her I would get her brother back and if she hates me for going into the game so be it I just wanted to make her happy."

"You really are a weird person aren't you?" Replied Lis

What do you mean? Asked Yoake

"You came into game for other people rather than yourself. Not many people would do that."

"Well like I said if one of my friends needs help I do what it takes to help them. I think that's one of the reasons I always get hurt. But it won't do any good *sigh*."

"Lis I hope you don't mind me calling you that. But I'm sorry about talking about another girl well were having lunch. Sometimes I'm really am an idiot sorry about that."

"No I'm the one that asked it's my fault."

"Well looks like it will be noon soon how time flies as they say."

"I had a good time talking to you again."

"Same here wait I almost forgot can I please get your email!?"

"What?!"

"Well it's just in case you ever want to hang out again or if you ever want to talk."

"Well... ok. Just don't go giving this to anyone Yoake."

"Don't worry I barely hang out with anyone besides my friends."

They both opened their screens and sent each other there information allowing them to talk and message each other when they wanted to.

"Good thing my friend taught me how to do this or we could have been here for a while."

"From the sound of it, it sounds like you're not good with these kinds of things?"

They both laughed a bit before Yoake paid for everything as they left the diner Yoake decided to walk her back to her work mat.

"Well here you are Lis, I hope we can meet again, and..."

"And what?"

"Well I don't how to put this since I mean since we barley know each other."

"What are you trying to say?"

Akihisa friend's eyes widen as they knew what he wanted to ask.

"Well I'm wondering maybe like to-" Before he could even say anything he was interrupted by the voice of someone in the guild he was in.

"Yo Yoake!"

"What the-? What do you want? I'm busy!"

"Sorry but we have a meeting soon and I was told to bring you by force."

"Can't it wait a few seconds?"

"No let's go!"

Yoake was grabbed by his coat and cursed as he was being dragged away from his friend.

"Sorry Lis I talk you next time I hope, later! Stop pulling on my damn coat it's a rare item!"

As he was dragged away Lis had one thought.

'He really is an idiot sometimes, with all the stuff that happens around. Might as well get back to work'

Lisbeth decided to work for bit before turning in for the day.

Well here is the next chapter I hope you all like since this chapter was done different to open up more on the relationship of Lisbeth and Yoake since she didn't get enough screen time. Next chapter you all know what comes next, the death of Moonlit Black Cats. But will I follow the anime and kill off Sachi or will she live? That's for me to decide and for you to figure out.

Depending on whether Sachi lives or die will affect how I take the story and how relationships and how Yoake and Kirito will grow as well. As I said it will be a harem for both. But for now let's see how things will turn out for both of them. Please read and review. And check out my poll.
