Sorry for the wait I said I would update if I got reviews and I was about done with the chapter but my laptop died and I lost all my story chapters and this chapter as well. I have been reading the manga well special colored manga and a certain person caught my interest. About the people written for the manga.
Anyway here comes the next chapter so no flames and might find what I did with this chapter a bit different I wanted to put an oc to help Yoshii but not a lot of people dont like oc's so I did something different instead now what will this chapter hold. I got a review telling me I should make him hate his old crushes not a bad idea but will I do it and just keep him with the new friends keeping him with only Saeko and Shizuka or will he forgive?
one final note i have gotten into a game called Danganronpa and i got to say i love it! it got me thinking of an idea for baka and test with Akihisa involved as the super duper high school level idiot lol. i will be working on it since i love the game. check it out when it out i left a summary on my profile along wit other cross over ideas tell me what you think.
Chapter 3 trust, friends and death
Akihisa forced himself to stand up hearing yells making him turn to see the student he tried to help being eaten alive. He had no time to think about the lost since they were closing in on him.
"Two ways to go, my best option will be to get the car! No way in hell I'm going into the street and getting ambushed. I need to clear this things out of my way!"
Akihisa got himself ready attacking the undead as they neared him. He managed to kill a few before he saw an opening.
"There!"
He ran for the opening tripping some zombies trying to get at him as he ran towards the school. He managed to run a small way before he was stopped by two zombies. He got a sad expression on his face as he looked at them before raising his sword.
"I'm sorry you two, I wish I had gotten to you in time."
He wore a look of pain before smashing one of zombies head and tripping the second one and ramming his sword through her skull as blood squirted out of her head. He looked at the two lovers now dead again. He didn't know the guy's name but the girl on the other hand was called Naomi. She had run back to die with the man she loved but they both had came back.
"You two can now rest in peace, I need to hurry there are more of them getting closer to me. I can take one a few but not a horde of them."
He ran to the next corner of the school hoping the entrance would be open but cursed when he saw it was full of the undead. He bit his thumb and looked around with the sound of the undead getting nearer. He looked across the field and saw the school shed used for PE. He saw that it was close to the ledge of the 3rd floor of the school and had a thought.
"Might as well try since its better then facing them. But first I need to clear a path, if I remember what Saya said these things react to sound and movement. I should keep it slow then unless I need to make a run for it."
Akihisa decided to walk towards the shed being followed by the dead. He stopped and picked up a rock and chucked it near the entrances breaking the door open. He only let out a grin as that drove a few of the undead away from him making a path for him to run towards the shed.
"Got to make it got to make it!" He told himself as he picked up speed making noise and attracting the undead towards him.
Akihisa ran in the shed and closed the door locking it behind him. He grinned before turning around covering his mouth.
"Cough what's that smell? Sniff.. Smells like blood? Don't tell me that?"
He looked ahead of himself seeing a few students laying on the ground covered in blood.
"Must of tried to hide in here but one of them must have been bitten… wait they're all dead but shouldn't there be at least one alive?"
He walked forward looking around as the zombies started banging on the door trying to get into the shed. As he made his way towards the dead body's he was grabbed from behind and thrown on the ground dropping his wooden sword to the side as he felt a body on top of him. With a pair of hands around his throat. He saw zombie leaning in trying to bite him.
"Get off!"
Akihisa tried to push the zombie off but was having much luck as it got closer to him. The zombies grip around his neck tightened as he began to lose a bit of air as he recalled what Takagi had told them all.
"They have super human strength so make sure you don't get caught or it's probably all over for you. They also respond to sound to make sure you don't make too much noise unless there are only a few."
"Am I really going to die like this? Dammit!... Saeko…I won't die like this!"
He tried harder to push the zombie with one hand as he felt around with his right hand near him trying to find something to help him. As he was about to give up he grabbed the handle of something before jamming it into the zombies head as the blood squirted from its head falling on his face as he pushed the now dead zombie off him.
"Huff…huff.. Cough.. That was a little too close, huh?"
He looked at the dead Zombie as he cleaned his face of the blood and saw that he had killed the zombie with a small gardening shovel for small plants. He got up and walked over to rest of the people in the shed and stabbed each one in the skull making sure they wouldn't turn. He returned and retrieved his sword but put the garden shovel around his waist encase he had another fight close up again. He found the stairs in the shed that lead him to the roof of the shed. As he made it he looked and saw he was near the 3rd floor of school.
"Dam, if I take a running start I should be able to make it I think? Maybe I should think of something better than this, I bet I can find a latter or something in the shed."
As he was about to go back down he heard the door break as he sighed.
"Jumping like an idiot it is!" He thought to himself as he stepped a few feet back and took a running start getting closer to the edge as he jumped flying a few feet as he grabbed the edge of ledge and tried to help himself up.
"hmp.. come on I can do this"
He threw his sword over the ledge trying to help himself up but was having trouble as he was losing his grip.
"I can't die like this! With one push he was about to pull himself up but felt his grip slip as he was hanging with one hand.
"No! not like this!?" He Yelled drawing zombies near him from the ground as he looked down seeing his doom.
"Maybe if I am lucky I will crack my skull and die before I turn?"
He closed his eyes as he recalled the first time he met Saeko.
Flash back
Akihisa was watching the Kendo team each take a turn trying to beat Saeko but each was failing as usual no one could match her. He just watched as each member try and fail until it was his turn. He just sighed as he knew he couldn't beat her but he could at least try.
"Ok,"
The match had started and it end in a few moves as he ended up on the floor just like the others. He turned and saw everyone leaving as it was time to go home. He was about to get up but saw a Saeko lending him a hand.
"Here"
"Thanks."
He took her hand and felt that it had a soft touch but ignored it as he was helped up.
"Guess, I lost again?"
She only nodded as he spoke again.
"Well, what are you going to do now Sempai?"
"I will be going home, you?"
"Don't have much to do since I am still a bit new so I will stay here to work on my sword skill a bit more. I need to get better than I am now, but I need to train more."
She looked a bit taken but nodded at his answer.
"Well later Senmai and be careful on your way home."
Akihisa didn't think she heard him band just started to swing his sword trying to get better at it. Saeko just looked at him before heading home. He made sure she had left as he swung the sword harder thinking about Saeko.
"I need to get better and show her I can be as good or at least good enough!"
He continued to train for some time before calling it a day. He wiped off the sweat as he smiled.
"Don't know how much better I will get by just swinging this sword but I feel it's better than nothing."
He went home for the night and got ready for the next day. He woke up early and left for school with his sword on his back ignoring the looks he was getting from random people that didn't know he was in the kendo club. He made it to the school early and saw a few people at school, he made his way to the kendo room expecting it to be empty but as he opened the door he saw Saeko swing her sword.
"Saeko?"
She looked at him looking a bit surprised seeing someone there.
"I didn't think I would see anyone here this early beside myself?" She said as he walked in.
"Same here Senpai but I am kind of glade since it would have been a little lonely. It's nice to have some company right? "
She nodded not saying anything as Akihisa dropped his bag near the wall and stood next to her and started to swing his sword for a bit. He just continued for a bit before looking at Saeko and smiling as he decided to match her rhythm in swinging.
Saeko just kept swinging the sword but had a thought.
"He really seems to want to get better why?" Her thoughts where interrupted as he spoke.
"Saeko forgive me for asking this but ever since I started this club I have gotten to know everyone in this club but."
"But?"
"I still haven't gotten to know you very much." She stopped swing the sword and looked him with a bit of doubt but saw him smiling at her.
"I would like to change that since I have seen you alone for a while always avoiding others for some reason."
"Yoshii… its best if you avoid a girl like me." She said as she swung her sword again.
But was shocked when she swung it down only to meet his wooden sword.
"I believe that's up to me to decided whether or not to avoid you, Beside I am not one to judge on rumors."
He saw her stay silent and saw the look on her face knew what it meant since he himself had always put on a fake mask at his old school. He was seen the idiot so he pretended it didn't bother him but he did and his friends never saw past it.
"Saeko.. I will not ask anymore since I know what it means to hide your true self."
Her eyes widened as he said this as she spoke.
"What do you mean?"
"At my old school I was seen as an idiot cause of how the system worked. So I was the dumbest of the dumb I was called. No one cared about what I thought so I put on a fake smile and took it. So I can see the fake mask you have to hide your real self."
"Uh!"
"I just hope one day you can trust me so I see the real you first. "
She stayed silent looking at him thinking how she was seen through in only a few moments by him. He also seemed to understand her a bit but she was not ready to drop the mask yet.
"Yoshii.."
"Yes?"
"Want a practice match?"
"Hope you're ready to lose captain."
"Don't get cocky. She said with a smile."
Flash back end
Akihisa smiled thinking about the memory of Saeko and how closed up she used to be but he was happy she opened up to him and told him why she was closed up. He opened his eyes and sighed as he felt his grip go.
"I guess this is it… Saeko…"
He suddenly felt someone grab his arm hearing a voice.
"Uhhhhh! Don't worry I got you!"
"What? How!"
"Are you going to try and pull yourself up or what? I can't hold forever you know!" replied the voice.
"Right!?"
He reached out and grabbed the persons hand and used his strength pulling himself up slowly finally saving himself from doom. He was on his back breathing hard as he was in shock as he turned to see who had helped him and was surprised it was a girl.
"Thank you for saving me. The name is Akihisa Yoshii nice to meet you…?
She gave him a smile as she spoke.
"My name is Arise Tomoe nice to meet to yoshii."
He helped himself up as he offered Tomoe his hand who took it. As he helped her up he noticed her features. He saw that she was around 5,1 feet had on a pair of glasses that looked cute on her but he saw that she had blue eyes but had red hair shoulder length hair giving her a causal look. What drew his attention was that she had a large chest from what he could tell was she was a double DD causing him to blush before he shook his head.
"I need to focus on staying alive dam it." (A/N ok ok read author notes at the end please)
Akihisa was handed his sword by Tomoe and thanked her asking her to come with him. She only nodded not wanting to go alone. They made their way inside the school making no noise as they walked down the halls avoiding the undead. They stayed silent until she spoke.
"Where the hell are we going anyway?"
He stopped in his tacks and looked her with wide eyes hearing say that.
"Keep your voice down and watch your mouth if you must know I was heading to conference room."
"Why?" she asked wanting to know more about his plan.
"I need to get the car that was left behind since there is no way I can fight off a mob of them."
"So what good will a dam car do if you get swarmed?"
"Hey it's better than being out in the open without anything protecting you. Beside you don't have to come with me if you hate the idea so much. "
"So you're just going to leave the person that saved your fucking life to die?"
"Stop with cursing, and I didn't say that but it could be arranged if you keep bugging me. Now just shut up and stay close we need to make no noise if we want to get out alive and I don't see you coming up with anything so shut it."
She only shut her mouth as they made their way further into the school running into a few dead ends but got away with no trouble.
When they were about a few doors away from the office Akihisa stood still as he was bumped into.
"What the hell? Why did you stop? Tomoe asked as she looked at his face which had a stunted look on look before she saw him give a dark grin. Before she could ask anything he ran forward making no noise as she saw him trip a zombie before he stepped on its head crushing it skull then turned around smashing the one behind him with his sword getting covered in its blood. She was about to warn him about the last one before he grabbed the garden shovel from his waist and jammed it into the last zombies eye going to the brain causing it to fall and die and blood squirted out.
"Heheheh, finally some pay back for what they did…Tomoe mind taking a pic?" He threw here his cell and sat with the zombies with a bloody grin.
"Uhhh,, ok…"
She hesitated a bit before she took the picture.
"Thanks.." was all he said as he took his phone back and put it in his pocket before wiping off the blood off his face and returned to his walk to the conferences room with Tomoe behind him. They were nearing the room before she spoke.
"Hey?..."
He ignored her.
"Hey listen to me!"
He stopped and looked at her.
"What is it and keep it down we're almost to the room."
"Why did you kill them?"
"Why not they were in the way and we needed them out of it to advance."
"No we didn't! You could have just ignored them or gone around them but you took one look at them and just ran at them like you wanted to kill them, why?"
Akihisa sighed she was right she had him right know he had a very personal reason to kill them but now it wasn't seen as a crime since they were dead well undead. He could just tell her to mind her own business but since she did save his life he owed her an explanation. Before he could he grabbed her hand an ignoring the gasp she let out as he ran to the nearest class room and closed the door as he put his hand over her mouth and cover her body with his. He raised his finger to his mouth.
"Shhhhhhhh."
He heard the undead outside walking slowly as they both stayed silent waiting for the undead to pass. They both heard the undead outside getting closer to the door he pressed himself closer to her chest ignoring her red face as he kept his eyes on the door and moved his hand down and grabbing his garden shovel encase he needed. After a short time they left as he stopped away from her letting out a sigh of relief sitting on a nearby desk catching his breath.
"Hey are you ok? Sorry about dragging you in here like that but it was the closes place and since you where chewing my head out there you didn't notice the undead so I had no idea what else to do are you alright?"
She didn't respond she turned his back to him covering her chest.
"Wonder what I did? He asked himself as he looked around realizing what class he was in.
Wait this class, it's one of the classes Shido taught huh? What's that?
He got off the desk and walked over to something in the back of the class and stood in shock seeing a body in front of him holding a journal and a light purple cell phone. He didn't know why but he felt that he had to see the body since it was Shido's class. He saw she was dressed in the school uniform but had blond hair and had her throat ripped out from bite marks. Her chest was covered in blood but strangely the journal was left almost free of blood.
"I'm sorry forgive me for disturbing your body."
He reached out and managed to free her hands off the journal and opened hoping to find out who she was.
"Let's see if I can find your name."
He began to read the first few pages but found nothing of uses so he decided to flip through it until a certain entry caught his eye it was todays date so he decided to read.
"Why…. Why did he leave me…. I thought students could trust teachers I told to wait for I had to run back to class to get my mother's charm. It's all I have left of her but when I came back he was gone with the rest of people that were with him. I hate them…what am I going to do ..someone help me."
Shido… was all he said feeling his hate grow for that heartless bastard leaving a student alone but lying to her as well. He turned a few pages and paled when he saw the pages covered in blood and tears stains with writing he could barely see..
"I saw Shido and the others running towards the buses.. I decided to come back to class but it was a mistake I got bitten I saw what happens when you get bitten, my life is over…I saw someone run towards a fallen student but he was left behind as well.. I can hear them trying to get in I might as well let them in I will be one of them soon enough. My mother's charm is all I have left of my family, dad I'm sorry but I have go… maybe mom will watch over me I' sorry I couldn't see you one final time. If anyone finds this please tell my dad I'm sorry.."
He shed some tears turning the page seeing nothing but blood closing the book and take her bag putting the journal inside. He reached out and grabbed her cell and saw a small strap on it shaped like cat. Looking close he saw it opened showing a picture of a happy family. He took the cell and put it in the bag but removed the cat and strap and hooked it on his cell.
"Hey what are you doing over there and what's with the bag?..
Tomoe walked over to him but gasped when she saw body and ran to it kneeling down in front it.
"Did you know her?" He asked wiping away the tears remembering the situation he was in.
Tomoe shook her head but she spoke
"No I didn't but I knew her name we had a few classes."
"What was her name!?" he asked with force.
"Her name was Maria…."
"Oh… we need to get going before we get corned."
"Can't we do anything for her?" Tomoe asked with sadness in her voice.
"Sigh." he walked over to the class closet and found a blanket in case of emergency's which made him get a thought.
"They didn't clear this class? Well Shido was in a hurry and only cares about stay alive and doing what best for him.."
"Tomoe can you check the closet for any supplies that could prove useful to us since we will be needing anything we can use. I will cover Marias body with this."
She got up and walked over to the closet looking for anything useful as he walked over to the dead body covering it with blanket. He clapped his hands together offering a small prayer for her since Shido was the casus of her death and he would get him back for this.
"Another life cut short by that bastard since he has no respect for anyone not even the living. That two lives you have under your belt and I will make you pay for each one tenfold. Maybe Saeko can help me… no I will not let her dirty herself with his blood. I can't do this for everyone but since your life was lost cause of him I will try to find your father and tell him you died human."
He opened his eyes and walked to Tomoe who had a few bottles of water and a small bag full of medical drugs.
"There isn't much here but we got some useful things." She told him.
He nodded as he was about to speak but he lost his voce as he heard moaning and Tomoe's scared face she was backing away from him.
"No…." was his only thought as he turned to meet Maria getting up as he backed up readying his sword as the blanket fell of he saw her now dead skin falling off.
"Uhhhhhhh."
"Didn't think I would have to kill the person I just prayed for…tsk die in peace!"
Akihisa got an evil grin and swung his sword crushing Maria's skull in one hit as he closed his eyes. And turned his back to her walking away.
"I'm sorry." he thought before he spoke to Tomoe.
"Put the stuff in this bag I have, I will carry them and lets not waist any more time I hope you said your goodbyes to this place cause we need to get out before it gets any darker."
He didn't wait for an answer he just handed her his small garden shovel and walked out with her following. After a short trip they ran into the conference room shutting the door as he started to stack boxes against it with Tomoe's help as they heard pounding on the door making the boxes move a bit.
"We don't have time to waste we better find what you're looking for."
They both looked at each other nodding searching the office.
On bus
Rei was staring at Takashi who was looking at a picture on his phone. She looked at his phone and saw a picture of him Hirano with their arms around Akihisa smiling but covered in paint with Hirano wearing a gold medal and Takashi wearing a sliver and Akihisa wearing a bronze. But what she found kind of strange was that she saw a grown women purple hair behind them she had her hands on Takashi and Hirano's head like she was messing their hair up as stood behind Akihisa. She saw him let out a sad smile as he closed his phone sighing.
She took a seat next to him expecting him to greet her but he gave her a cold look shocking her.
"Takashi?"
"Leave me alone Rei…" he said with no remorse as he stared out the window.
"What's wrong?" she asked sounding a bit hurt by the tone of his voice towards her.
"I lost my friend and I don't mean my ex friend, I mean Akihisa he was a good friend yet you hated him." He responded not looking at her as he kept his sight on the outside.
"But I didn't?!" she said to him trying to talk to him letting him know she didn't hate him.
"Really now? That's not what looks you gave him and I a few weeks ago said. You think your boyfriend didn't tell me how you thought I was hanging out with him just to hurt you since you broke up with me."
"Uh.."
"You see, I hung out with him because I needed to forget the pain and he looked like he needed a friend. But he helped me out more than I did for him, hell you even wanted to leave him behind along with Shido since you hate him as well. Maybe you thought to kill them both, not that I care about Shido dying for being a smug ass. But I lost my friend sure I killed Hisashi but I didn't really feel much after killing him so go ahead hate me."
She was stunned by his words as she wanted to speak but he continued
"You have a right to, I mean I did kill your boyfriend and you said it yourself you want me dead in his place. Maybe you will get your wish since the world we live in is gone now. You could say you don't want me dead but I saw the look you gave me on the roof." He said with sadness in his voice as just took his sight away from the window and looked at the seat in front of him.
They both stayed silent as she spoke.
"Takashi…"
"What?"
Hirano was checking his nail gun with a normal look not noticing someone sitting next to him.
"Umm,"
He ignored the voice as he rechecked it again making sure it had no flaws.
"That's the third time you have checked it why are you doing it again?"
Hirano looked at Saya shocking her with his lifeless eyes as he put nail gun on his lap.
"Takagi-san you no longer have a reason to be nice to me since we got out alive… well most of us did he said with a sad smile. Anyway you no longer have a need to be nice to me so just leave me alone. I need to make sure I count the ammo so I don't run out like with what happen with you. I should have been more ready so you wouldn't have to go through that."
She saw how worried he was for her even if he was trying to keep her away from him.
"You don't have to worry beside its sort of my fault since I wasn't really much help to you since I was making you do all the work and." She said trying to cheer him up but saw him let out a sigh as he adjusted his glasses.
"No, that's just how you are, and you are a geniuses so you were doing what you do best giving orders and telling me where to shoot." he told her complementing her even if it was just little things she did
"Uhhh"
"You also managed find out more about them than any of us did by testing out a few theories of yours. You think you're not doing anything to help but you are. Now please leave me alone, like I said you have no reason to be near me."
She looked at him as he didn't pay much attention to her as she was left to her thoughts.
"He wasn't like this at school did his friend dying really have an effect on him? I don't know anything about him."
Is there anything I can to help you out?
"He looked at her just sighing before he handed her the nail gun as he adjusted his glasses if you want to help then you need to learn how to reload and use this encase I can reach it."
Saeko sat by the front of the bus looking at her sword looking at the remaining blood on her sword as it dripped to the floor of the bus. She sighed as she looked over to the people that had escaped from the school. From Takashi who was talking to Rei listening to her speak. She looked over to Hirano and Saya who was looking at him work as he handed her some nails to count. Saeko looked at Shido and had never had any reason to hate him before.
"Shido…" she said as she cleared her mind of him encase she did something she might enjoy. She looked at the bus driver. She saw that she looked a bit out of it and decided to see if she was ok.
"Shizuka-Sensei, are you alright? "
Saeko waited for her to answer not expecting the answer she gave.
"I'm sorry." She said as she kept driving.
"What are you sorry about?" Saeko asked her wondering why she was apologizing to her.
"For leaving Yoshii.." was all Shizuka said leaving a small silence
She stiffened as she said this.
"It's not your fault." She told her trying to comfort her.
"But if I had waited a few more minutes for him."
"Then we would have gotten swarmed or have to many zombies ahead of us to drive and got killed. He told you to drive for that very reason and he was making sure we got out alive. Besides it's not your fault."
Shizuka looked at Saeko who put her hand on her shoulder comforting the close to crying nurse.
"It's Shido's fault she whispered to herself."
"Huh?"
"It's nothing."
"Ok, but aren't you mad or sad? I mean, he was your boyfriend wasn't he?"
She didn't say anything she just answered
"Whether or not he was, it doesn't matter now, a girl like me doesn't deserve to be happy with what I am.."
She looked at Saeko wondering what she meant but saw the look on her face. She didn't say it but she was hurt. She returned to driving the bus in silence as no one said anything as Saeko looked out the window in her own thoughts but heard clapping from behind her.
They all looked to see Shido walking over with a caring expression but Takashi,Rei and Hirano knew it was a fake.
"Now, now Saeko no need to be sad about this whole situation. I as your teacher will make sure nothing happens to you or any of my young students." he said as the students behind him were looking at him with hope as he neared Saeko.
Takashi looked over to Hirano who looked at him. He got the hint and readied the nail gun as Takashi griped his bat just encase.
Saeko stood still as he grew nearer to her. He put her hand on her shoulder smiling.
"It's ok, I'm here if you need a shoulder to cry on."
Takashi and Hirano were about to get up but saw Saeko smile as she moved faster than they could see. They saw her swing her sword hitting Shidos hand as he grabbed it in pain as he glared at her but saw her smile.
"Touch me or get near me again and I will take your hand!" She said in dark voice as she raised her sword and glared at Shido. "Or maybe I should put an end to you now since your actions caused the death of two people."
Shido backed away as he heard whispers behind him.
"He killed two people?"
"I think I saw him kick a student that was down."
"Really? That would make him a murderer!"
Shido bit his lip knowing he was losing support with what she said.
"I don't know what you mean I did it to save us. Yoshii had been bitten by the kid he tried to save, I did it for all of us. I had to think of what was best since if I had let him on the bus he could have turned and bitten us."
"You're lying he was wasn't bitten, even if he was I would have made sure he wouldn't hurt anyone."
"Would you honestly be willing to place all these young lives at risk?" He said with smug smile grabbing his hand in pain.
Saeko looked at him and smiled. Takashi and Hirano knew that smile from what their friend had told them. They were about to react but heard ringing.
"Huh?"
Takashi reached for his cell wondering who would be calling or how the number got through.
"Maybe it's my father!" Rei said as she took the phone and answered it with hope.
"Daddy?"
"…I am not your Daddy Rei and it's about time my call got through this is the 7th time I called Takashi. Put him on or put me on speaker I don't have a lot time. "
She put the phone on speaker and spoke to Takashi.
"It's for you Takashi."
"For me?"
He took the phone and spoke and slowly spoke into the phone.
"Hello?"
"…Takashi! It's so good to hear your voice! Like I told Rei I'm glad my call got through!"
His eyes widen at the voice he heard along with everyone else who heard the voice. Shido's eyes widen in fear at the voice.
"No… he is still alive!" He thought in his mind.
"Akihisa! You're still alive!"
He grinned from the other side of the phone hearing his friend's voice.
"Of course I'm alive you think a kick to my face is enough to get me down? Sure I might have a broken nose but it could be worst. I need to ask did you all make it on the bus safely?"
"Never mind about us all of us are fine but what about you? Where are you, are you ok?"
Takashi held the phone close to the others listening in to what was said from their friend.
"I'm fine, I'm fine I had to make a choice I could of either ran on the street and tried to catch up to the bus. Sure that would have been kind of bad since I would have been cornered or tired."
"So you're at the school?!"
"Pretty much beside it's not as bad as it sounds since I managed to save someone."
"Really?"
"Yup she needed my."
"HEY! I saved your ass! Did you forget that you almost fell to your death!?"
Takashi looked at the cell hearing a girl yell at his friend in the back ground.
"You don't need yell, unless you want us to be found out.." Akihisa replied
He heard banging from the other side of the phone and grew a bit worried.
"Great you let them know where we are hiding….way to go…"
"They already knew where we were hiding since they saw us come in here.."
"Anyway… the reason I called is to let you know not to worry about me since I will try and meet you at the bridge."
"But how are you going to?"
"It's easy, it's also the main reason I came back though I wish I didn't…."
"Why?"
"Sigh, ….. I don't know if you're listening to this and if you are. I want to let you know I'm coming for you…. Laws be dammed I will be doing a world a favor ending your life like how you left Maria to die…."
"Akihisa what are you talking about?!" Asked Hirano his eyes widening at what his friend had said but heard him sigh.
"It will take too long explain, I will tell you all when we meet up. Beside I have a special gift for you Hirano more like a pic I hope you manage to get it when I send the pic. "
"But how are you even going to get to the bridge from the school you said yourself that it would be suicide if you went by streets and since you also have to worry about that person you saved and you're going to send me a picture?"
"Or I just leave her and not worry about her at all and yea I will try to send it to you through Takashi's phone you might like what I did.."
"You wouldn't dare!" She yelled from the other side of phone looking at him as he sighed.
"I was kidding beside I'm not that heartless…. Maybe.. Beside I have a way to get there with ease and it's all thanks Shizuka-sensei."
"Me?" She replied as Takashi got the message and passed the phone over to Saeko who was near Shizuka driving the bus.
"Of course you haven't you notice that you're missing something?" he asked her through the phone
She began to think until it hit her.
"I forgot my purse!"
"Yup and I am kind of glad you did since you just gave us the way out. I really hope you don't mind but I will be taking your car, well if I can find it. I hope you don't mind the scratches."
"Uh sure no I don't mind as long as you can get back to us that is."
"Don't worry I'm not that bad a driver."
"Says the guy who doesn't have his license." Takashi said out loud earning a chuckle from Hirano and a few swears from Akihisa over the phone as he coughed before getting his thoughts back in order.
"Anyway I will try my best to make it back to the group but…."
"But?"
"I am keeping the picture I found in your purse!"
Her eyes widen at that remark and her faced turned red not looking at the group as she could feel their eyes on her after that remark.
Saeko grabbed the phone from Takashi's hand and spoke.
"Akihisa…."
"Saeko…."
They both stayed silent for bit before she spoke up with concern which Takashi and Hirano didn't expect to see from her but just shrugged it off.
"I'm glad you're unharmed, I thought that maybe you,"
"Saeko I'm fine beside I will not be killed that easy, not when I have lots of things left to do in this world of the living. Not to mention I have someone's life to end for what he did to me."
She smiled at the thought since she knew who he was talking about and she agreed to a sense.
"I understand just please be safe when you try to make it to us."
"Don't worry I will, just make sure you keep alive for me to meet up with you. I know the others could hear me take care of your selves, and if HE! Tries something make sure to put him in his place!"
"No worries I already did I was just about do something but you ended up calling."
"Dammit! Why did I call!? Doesn't matter anymore just take care."
"I will, and Akihisa…"
"What is it?"
"Umm, i… I wanted to say…"
She want to tell him how she felt about him and how worried she was for him but was stopped.
"You don't need to say it, I know already just please take care of yourself we can talk when we meet Saeko."
"Ok, but Akihisa, what picture did you find?"
"Uhhhhh, I have to go they are close to breaking in!"
The phone was hung up as she closed it and just sighed as she sat in the front seat looking out the window.
Rei looked and saw Takashi looked a bit calmer as she looked over to Hirano who was talking to Saya who was holding the nail gun as he looked like he was explain how he made it and how it ran just encase she needed to use it. But what she found strange was the bus driver was blushing and she wondered why?
Just how much of an impact can one person like you have on these people? Rei asked herself as looked at Shido who was deep in thought but had a worried look on his face and was biting his thumb hard close to drawing blood.
Back at school
Akihisa closed his cell as he heard the undead trying to open the door as he looked at the ceiling letting out a breath. He looked at Tomoe who was sitting on a chair thinking to herself as he walked over to the desk in front of him as he grabbed Shizuka's purse and put it around his shoulder as he looked around for a way out. But his gaze kept going to the window.
"There has to be another way out of here but I don't see any other way beside the door we came through and then there is the window." He said to himself as he tried to figure out what to do.
"You know the only way out of here is through the window since the door is blocked right?" He looked at her with wide eyes surprised that she was thinking the same thing.
"Yea I know but I thought you wouldn't think of the same thing since it would involve us jumping for a 2 story window."
"Look yoshii normal I would say your right but look at the situation we are in so we don't have much choice."
"Never thought I hear someone say one of my dumb ideas was actually a good one. Then again it's the end of the world. So let's get going then, unless you have something you have left to do in this hell hole.'
She looked at him and smirked as she had a thought.
"Sure let me go to the bath room and make myself look pretty for the undead. Of course there is nothing left for me to do!"
"Then lets go and stop yelling so much." He told her as he made sure he had everything
They made their way to the window as he opened it he looked down and saw the ground was clear.
"Lady's first?"
He said with smile as he was glared at as he sighed and just put one foot over the window ledge he gulped as he then hung by the ledge by his hands and then let go falling towards the ground landing safely. He dusted himself off as he was about to call up for her but saw he had already jumped he silent cursed as he was about to catch her about tripped and fell. as and felt her fall on his back hard as he wanted to yell in pain but just bit his hand in pain. He cursed in his mind as she got off and dusted herself off.
"Hurry up and get up we don't have time to rest."
He got up and just followed her towards the parking lot cursing her in his mind as he was in pain.
"Why did I tell her to come with me? Maybe death wouldn't have been so bad instead of living in this world. Whatever I need to make it back to Saeko and the others but I need to make sure my sis is alright somehow. I tried calling her but she the call didn't go through, I hope Hazuki was with her since she has been spending time with her."
He thought to himself as they made their way to the parking lot they stopped a few times throwing stones at windows breaking them causing the undead to go that way as they snuck pass them with ease.
They made it to the parking lot and saw most of the cars were gone but they saw some turned over and one crashed near tree letting out smoke. They both felt a bit sick seeing some bodies looking like they had been run over when they were still alive.
"Do you think they were still alive when they run over?" She asked him.
"Probably, but what does it matter now? All the people cared about was getting away not helping anyone in their way."
"But isn't that a bit inhuman?" she asked him as she adjusted her glasses seeing what he would say.
"It might be, but let us talk about this after we get out of the open."
She nodded as they tried to find the car but cursed every time the key didn't fit. In one of the cars. After a few minutes of searching they had found the car but where staring at the small compact car that looked only to hold two people.
"This can't be it." Tomoe said as Akihisa tried the keys and opened the car taking the driver's seat.
"It is.. How can she drive something so small?" He said as he put his things in the back seat. He opened the passenger side as she got in shutting the door. "Who knows how she does let's just hope this thing can actually help us."
"Well its better than going on foot for now and it looks we have company yoshii."
She pointed in front of them as he looked in front and saw the undead gathering and heading for them.
"Time to GO!" he yelled.
"They shut the doors as he turned the key to car starting it up as the noise drew more of them to them. As they got closer he sifted the gears and hit the gas moving the car forward with speed.
"You're just going to run them over aren't you?" she asked him looking at him as she put on her seat belt.
He just smiled at her as they sped forward hitting a few zombies causing blood to cover the windshield as he tried to drive through them. He made a u turn and headed towards the front gate.
"Do you even have a driver's licenses?!" She yelled as he just kept hitting anything that moved.
"Nope! All of this is just me trying not die, and I have to say I'm doing pretty good! Now hold on I'm driving through the front gate!"
"Are you crazy?! There is a group of zombies in front the gate?!"
He hit the brakes stopping the car looking at her.
"I don't see anyway else out here and unless you got something better stuff it!" he yelled her as he kept his hands on the wheel.
She stayed silent as he was still on the brakes.
"Well? Do you have something better?"
She looked out the window and saw the undead getting closer and just spoke.
"No…."
"Then shut up and let me drive!"
He hit the gas again speeding away from the school and went through the crowd of zombies guarding the gate with ease but could have sworn he heard the glass crack but ignored it as the car left the school and was now on the street. He let out a sigh of relief as he saw the evening sun still up for who knows how long.
"Looks like we got away." she said as she let out a sigh of relief but gave a glare to him.
"At least we are not dead, but hey Tomoe."
"What is it?" she asked.
"Mind taking a trip with me?"
"You're not going to tell me it's a love trip are you?"
"Don't flatter yourself I already have someone. But what I meant is I'm thinking of going to my old home town to see if my sister is ok. Do you want to come is what I'm asking?"
"It's not like I have much choice since you're the one driving. But what if I say no? Are you going to leave me behind me like you said you would and it's not like I have much choice since you're the one driving."
"If you say no then I stop the car and try and find my own way to my old home. I need to make sure she is ok, she is the last family I know of that is alive for now anyway."
"But what if she is dead?"
"Then I cross that bridge when I get to it, but unless I know the truth or confirm it myself I still have hope I will find her. I can meet up with my friends later or at least try to make it to them. So what's your answer you want to come?" he asked her wanting to know her answer.
Tomoe just looked out the window for a few seconds and finally gave an answer.
"Why not, it's not like I have anything better to do and it would be nice to have a bit of rest."
He nodded as he just set course for the tunnel that had brought him to his new home years ago. He looked at her and saw that she looking out the car window as he drove hitting some zombies. He reached for the bag in the back and pulled out Maria's journal and handed to her.
"What's this for?"
"Don't know, just thought maybe you'd like it since you said you knew her a bit, maybe you like her journal. Who knows maybe you can write in it and keep the events we do in the book to keep you busy?"
She opened the journal and started read it from the beginning trying to get to know the now dead girl. Nothing was said for a few minutes as they had nothing to say. The only sounds heard were the sounds of the dead being run over and hit with the car.
"Well, I'm bored."
Akihisa tried to turn on the radio but found nothing on but pure static causing him to curse that nothing was on. Another few minutes later they were arriving at the tunnel but a small fire caught their attention.
"What the?"
"Oh Kami.."
He stopped the car and turned on the head lights seeing what was in front of them. They exited the car and saw bodies everywhere but what shocked them was that they saw an over turned bus on fire blocking the tunnel.
"They must have crashed trying to get through the tunnel." she said adjusting her glasses as she looked over to Akihisa who lightly tapped one body with his foot checking if the person was alive.
"Is she?"
He nodded but he was looking at the way she was dressed and how the men were dressed.
"Hmmm, why do these clothes look familiar?"
He walked over to see the bus turned over and saw some writing on the bus but saw some of the writing on the bus was burnt off making some of it unreadable. He tried to read it.
"Fu… academy?"
He began to think about the words he read and something kept bugging him.
"Why do I feel like I know this? huh?"
He walked over to a body of what looked to be a grown man and turned it over seeing the body was completely burned but he found a name tag that was half burnt. He blew out the fire on it dusting off some of the sud.
"Now let us see who you are. Hmmmmm….!"
His eyes widen as he didn't see a name but saw the picture of the man. He felt his heart give a bit at who the burnt man was. He fell on his knees and looked at him with a few tears threatening to fall. As he looked at the body hearing moans around him but ignoring them.
" …"
He wanted to say something to him since he was his old class F teacher. His body confirmed why he felt a bit a connection to these people they were from his old school. He didn't know them but he did know this teacher. He was one of the few who didn't forget about him he also went to his going away party.
"Yoshii we need to go now they are getting near us." Tomoe called to Akihisa name as he stood up and looked at the undead students from his old school with an smile as his eyes reflected the cars head lights.
"Allow me to end your suffering my old friends."
He ran at them with his sword killing a few of them causing blood to get over him, he didn't care they were from his old school all that mattered now was staying alive and becoming one of them. He just cleared a path to the car as he and Tomoe got in as they drove away.
Nothing was said for a bit as Tomoe looked at Akihisa seeing he was putting an id into his wallet. She didn't want to ask about it since she saw the hurt look on his face. She could have sworn she saw a tear but threw that idea aside.
"Umm, yoshii?"
He looked at her waiting for her to speak. As she was about to they both heard an explosion a ways off from them. He stopped the car and looked in the direction of the noise and saw smoke coming now.
"That's the where Saeko and the others went." he said out loud wondering why there would be an explosion? "I hope everyone is alright, don't care about Shido though I hope he is dead." He said out loud again as he drove again.
"Yoshii, are you ok?" finally asked him out of the blue but she didn't expect the answer he gave.
"Sure if you count seeing an old teacher and some old people from my past life dead, ok."
"You mean the people we just saw were?!"
"Yea…." He stopped the car.
"What wrong?"
He pointed ahead of him she followed his finger and saw a bus surrounded with the undead trying to get inside it.
"You think there is anyone inside?" She asked him as he had his foot on the brake.
"Maybe since I doubt they would be trying to get into an empty bus."
"You have any ideas to try and help them?"
He scratched the back of his head going through a few ideas all ending with him dead,hurt or bitten. He was also taking into account Tomoe since he didn't' think she could be much help but he hasn't seen what she could do yet. He finally came up with one it wasn't the smartest idea but it was an idea. He hooked his seat belt on as he looked over to Tomoe who looked at him as he hit the gas. Making Tomoe grab the seat as she looked over to him.
"What the hell are you doing!?"
"Saving them! ROADE RAGGGGEEEEEEEEEEE!"
He drove the car through the undead near bus sending them flying as he lost control of the wheel and hit a pole….."
Akihisa stirred as he woke up looking in front of him to see a zombies head through the windshield. He saw that it wasn't moving but he couldn't be safe and stabbed it in the brain as he looked to Tomoe who woke up and was glaring at him but saw a trail of blood go down her head from a wound she got from his idea.
"You can yell at me later lets try to get on the bus. He reached in the back and gave her a few things as he put Shizuka's bag around him. They stepped outside and saw a few zombies left untouched by car assault.
"Your so called plane didn't work!"
"Not all plans are full proof, but she is going to kill me for what I did to her car. I hope she has insurance."
"You're more worried about the car?"
"No, about my life, like I said lets talk later make sure the undead are dead. Go check and see if any of them are alive by the car make sure to stab them in the brain or head."
She didn't get to answer him as he ran at the last of the undead still near the bus. It didn't take long to kill the remaining 5 with ease as he finished the last one he looked over to Tomoe who was stabbing the grounded undead with garden shovel but looked like she was hesitating a bit.
"Can't really blame her since it's not very easy to kill even if it's the undead."
He walked over to the bus door and knocked and the door with his sword with a light tapping. "Hey open up!"
He didn't get a responses he just tapped harder growing a bit irradiated a he was losing his cool since he was out in the open.
"Unless you open up I'm going to smash the glass open!" Tomoe yelled making him look at her with a surprised look but nodded agree with her.
They heard the door unlock as it opened and they got in locking the door behind them. As the bus started up again driving off.
"Nice of you to open up you assholes." Tomoe jut yelled at the driver before going to take an empty seat in the front.
"Never mind her sir. She just a bit mad since I sort of crashed the car to save you, the name is Akihisa Yoshii nice to meet you."
He offered his hand but did not expect the next thing.
"It's been a long time Yoshii."
He looked at the driver with wide eyes seeing it was his old teacher and mentor in class F, well second teacher of class F.
"T..t..Tetsujin?!"
"I haven't been called that by you in a while."
"No… no…. NO! if you're here then that means this bus is from my old School!"
He looked down the ally of the bus and saw people from his old school looking at him with fear as they saw him covered in blood. He didn't give them a second look as he just looked at his old teacher.
"I need favor teach."
"I'm not your teacher anymore but may I ask what is it you need and are you ok?"
"I need a ride to bridge out of this city, mind taking me there? I'm fine this blood is not mine it's the undead's."
"Of course since I was driving everyone out of the city and heading there along with the other buses."
"How many buses?" He asked waiting for answer.
"Three buses, one went ahead of us we were the second one and behind us came the third bus why?"
He just sighed thinking it was best just to tell him the truth I mean why lie to him and let them find out later when it was better to find out now.
"Tetsujin… the other bus will not be making it."
"What do you mean yoshii?"
He took a seat next Tomoe and spoke.
"Well before meeting you I decided to go back to my old home town to see my sister was safe but found it blocked by an overturned bus. We deiced to check to see if we could find another way through but no luck."
His eyes widen as the others heard him talk with no emotion.
"But how could you be so sure it was from our school!" Yelled one random student.
He reached into his wallet and pulled out an id and handed it to Tetsujin who saw the picture of one of his fellow teachers.
"You see…"
"So are they?"
"Dead? Yes those that didn't fully die came back and well I took care of them." He said as he raised he blood covered sword as the students saw it dripping blood
"You killed them?!"
"Yes," he said in a normal tone not showing any remorse for what he had done.
"But why? They could have been your friends?!"
Yelled a girl.
"Like I care! The world is going to hell and all that matters is stay alive and killing the dead! If you can kill them when they are undead then maybe you're better off dead as well. The world will be changing you can barely even trust anyone anymore!"
The bus stayed silent as he just looked out the window for a few minutes seeing a tired Tomoe with her head down looking at the journal.
"She must be tired from today… who wouldn't after seeing the whole world go to hell man I need a drink bad. But what was with the explosion? I really hope they are ok….Saeko…"
He just sighed as he reached into his bag for a rag and started to clean the blood of his sword and himself, but heard footsteps behind him. He felt the presence of a few people next to him and had a feeling he knew who they were but he was hoping he was wrong but he was proved wrong when he heard two voices.
"Akihisa-kun…"
"Aki….."
"Shit…." Was all he said as he cursed his luck today.
And done sorry about the wait again I said I would update if I got review but my laptop broke done and had to wait till I had another way to write. So I made this chapter pretty long to say sorry for the wait. Now let me say this now first off she is not an oc. For the people that bought the high school of the dead color special edition hard covered book. She is mentioned by the creators of the manga but she was written off. But I decided to bring her back to make things different and they did give hits about her personality which will shock people hehehe for more read the Tomoe is an oc but she was made by the makers of the high school of the dead but was written off from the main manag.
If you have the high school of the dead coulors hard cover book when you get to the bios of the cast you will see her and a bit about her. I decided to give her a hair color I would like since not much info was given on her so I will be coming up with her back story a bit so no flames. I have not decided if I will have her become close to the gang and then kill her off. I might do that in order to add more darkness to this fic let me now what I should do.
What do you think of this chapter how did I do? what do you think of the death I added and about Maria? I thought I would add some fuel to the hate for shideo since its something he would do. we all know who Yoshii meets right? Now what will I do will he forgive them or will he hate them making this story pure yoshii with Saeko and Shizuka. I am leaning on hate for now but I could change it and notice the girl mentioned in Takashi in picture? Yes its rika, how do they know her? Hint remember Hirano is a gun nerd and they all spent time at the gun range who is to say she never went to visit her friend and decided to get some more practice.
But where are Hazuki and his sister? What about his real friends from his going away party? Who else will die and what things will be said? Next chapter I might focus on the high school of the dead group as for the explosion well remember the anime when Takashi and rei left the group well there you go.
I have been getting into attack on titian and I got to say I like it maybe once I watch more I can do a cross over with baka and test. I don't know why but I love writing cross overs with baka and test mostly yoshii since there are not lots of cross over fics with him. Please check out my other cross over fics. I will be updating my future diary cross over with baka and test soon along with a new fic I have been trying to get up my deadman wonder land when its up please check it out.
