Welcome to the next chapter! I am happy you all love the fic I am so happy its loved. I want to let my readers know something. When I was doing this fic before I picked the pairing I was thinking that Akihisa could either go with Yoshii and rei or Yoshii and Saeko I couldn't pick so I flipped a coin and it picked Saeko. I could have gone either way with them but well yea. I am thinking maybe do another side fic or maybe some one shots. Do you guys think I should do a few one shots with other cross overs opening the door to new parings I might even do a one shot with rei and yoshii. Tell me in a review of pm.
I have posted a poll letting my readers know what should work on more my none cross over fics or work more on my cross overs like this earning more updates. I have posted my deadman wonder land and danganronpa stories please check them out. They will be updated soon please look forward to it. I am happy people loved that I put the oc in but what do I have planed for her? one final note do you guys think i should do fics adding lemons and should i do fics with just lemons? since i am also thinking of doing a senran kagura cross over with baka and test and it might include lemons. what do you think yes on lemons or no? i might also add some in this fic since it's high school of the dead. i got a review saying add Takashi with Tomoe since not a lot of people like Rei to me she is so so. then again Tomoe could be a good match with him:P what do you guys think? as said ealry Rika will play a part later but will she be paired with someone or not? i am stilling thinking of doing AkihisaxSaekoxShizuka but it might change elater as the fic goes on
Chapter 4 Monsters of the Dead
Both Girls looked at Akihisa their old friend never hearing him curse before. But he sounded like he didn't want to see them.
"What do you two want? And the name is Yoshii not Aki or Akihisa-kun. Wait if you're here? Then is Hazuki is she ok!? Hazuki!?"
He rose from his seat and looked around the boss hoping to see her passing Mizuki and Minami not caring he was making noise letting the undead know the moving bus still had people alive in it. He saw that bus had no one he knew just a few people different classes. He didn't see her or his sister or any of his real friends and cursed.
"Is she in any of the buses!?" He asked turning to face Minami.
"Ummmm, no"
Akihisa grabbed Minami's shoulder with force and spoke with anger.
"What the hell do you mean NO!? Where the hell is she then?!"
Both girls couldn't believe the tone of voice he was using and the anger he had. Had he really chaged that much in the past 2 years.
"Aki you're hurting me." She told him with her voice in a bit pain.
He only relaxed his grip and asked again.
"Where is she? Did you even know where she or my friends are?"
Both girsl shook their heads causing him to grab his head in pain from signs of headache. As he walked to front of the bus and spoke to his teacher.
"Iron man answers now please."
His teacher only sighed not knowing what to tell his former student, he tried to think of the right word to tell him seeing as he was leaning on a pole of the bus holding his bloody sword. He thought it was best to tell him the truth seeing as lies would make him not trust him.
"Yoshii I will be honest but please calm down, you won't get answers by trying to cause a fight."
"I'm not starting anything. I just want answers and if I can't get them from any of you then I will get off this bus and go back home to get them seeing as you will not give them to me." He said getting a shocked look from his teacher.
"But that's."
"Stupid? If I remember right, my friends and teachers at my school only saw me as a person who did the dumbest things. Now answer me, please I will not ask again. Akihisa told his teacher ignoreing the small whispers around him.
"I wont lie to you Yoshii." Iron man took one deep breath and spoke.
"When all this started we didn't know what to make of all this. Some students panicked others tried running. But she thought of your sister seeing as you were not around she asked a few of her friends to help reach her and make sure she was safe."
"!?"
"Some called her crazy for wanting to go for one person but her friends decided to go with her."
"Who went with her?!" Akihisa asked in a worried tone making other feel nervous.
"Kubo, Aiko, Sugawa."
"That's it?! Only three people! What happen to them are they ok?!"
"I don't know, some of the students other teachers tried to help said they saw her running back to the school with your sister and them. They could be on the first boss since it did go down the path to your old apartment.."
Akihisa eyes widen at what he was told and looked at Minami who stiffened at his glare.
"Why did you let her go alone?" Akihisa asked her in a cold voice not wanting to yell but was losing his nerve.
"I didn't even know she had left. I was busy with class B." Minami answered with guilt in her voice
Akihisa punched the pole behind him denting it a little.
"So you think worrying about your dam class was more important than your own sister who is your own flesh and blood!? Yet you thought your class was more important than her!"
Minami looked taken back by the way he was blaming her but she had to admit he was right but.
"You don't have to yell me! You're not the only worried about her! She is my only sister and I don't even know if she is alive! Where do you get off tell me it's my fault! "
"Then whose fault is it?!"
Minami did not know why she said what she said next but she could never take it back.
"It's your sisters Fault! Hazuki shouldn't have gone to see if she was safe, she should have come to find me!"
"So you're blaming me for her wanting to make sure my sister safe? Don't you know that she and my sister have been hanging out ever since I left! Hell she even hangs out with Kubo, and Aiko, but let me guess you didn't know did you?"
She bit her tongue not knowing what to say as he continued.
"But go ahead blame my sister or better yet blame me. That's what you want to do don't you? Seeing as I was once was the schools idiot your just use to putting the blame on me. So you're blaming me for something I had no hand in? You ever wonder why I switched schools. It was because I was tired of being blamed for everything at school."
"What do you mean Akihisa-kun?" Mizuki asked him a little worried still seeing he was covered in blood thinking he was hurt but she saw he look fine. But she saw he glared at her when he called him by his name.
"The name is yoshii to you Himeji, and what I mean is that I hated how I was treated at school. Even by my so called friends mistreated me."
"But we never!"
Mizuki tried to speak but they were all interrupted by a sudden voice.
"Hey iron man can you hear me?"
Akihisa looked over to his former teacher and saw him reaching for the radio. As he reached for it he found his hand blocked with a wooden sword. He turned his gaze and saw Akihisa walking towards the buses radio. He picked up the radio and spoke the person's name seeing as he knew the voice.
"Long time no talk hey bud?" He said the term bud lightly hearing a small gasp from the other side before hearing the man speak.
"Dude your alive?!"
"What you think the old schools idiot would be dumb enough to get himself killed? Well hate to break it to you Sakamoto but I'm not the same idiot you once knew."
Yuuji stayed silent not knowing what to say. He took a breath and decided to speak.
"Look I now we cant take back what we did."
"No you can't, so what's your dam point?"
"My point! Don't you think we should focus on stay alive rather than holding on some stupid grudge from the past?! Don't you see what happening to the people around us?!"
"You think I'm blind? Of course I see the undead coming back and killing the living beside you can call it a dumb grudge but I will not forgive what was done to me. You forgot about me, I thought we were all friends yet once you moved onto higher classes you forgot about me yet you only asked about me once I was gone and after Shimada found out from her little sister."
"So you're going to hold a grudge? You really think it's important to carry such a thing with the way things are now?"
"Why do you care? You thought I was already dead, beside."
"Beside what?"
"I don't care how things are."
The only thing that could be heard where silent gasp at what he said.
"What the hell do you mean you don't care?! You do realize people are dying?! Even your parents could be dead!?"
"As I said I don't care. I really never saw them growing up alone in the apartment. Sure I still worry about their safety but I'm sure they are safe and sound." he said with a small smirk.
"What makes you so sure?" Yuuji asked not believing his former friend not seeing him smile.
"You guys don't know what my mom and dad do, do you?" Akihisa asked in a normal tone not getting an answer form anyone.
"Let me tell you then."
"My mom is an immunologist doctor and you know what they do right? As for my dad well nothing much to say expect he is a top notch engineer. Sometimes I wonder how my mom ever fell for him then again who am I say to say why Saeko fell for me."
As those words left his mouth everyone was left speechless at what he said. He could have sworn he felt dark aura behind him but he ignored as he heard Yuuji speak.
"But?! How!?"
"Doesn't really surprise me that you're shocked since you never asked what they did. All I ever told you was they worked over seas yet none of you ever thought of asking what they did? I know for a fact that my mom will be kept safe as she will be needed along with others like her to find a cure for something like this and she will not let my die Dad since they love each other. I'm sure they are worried about my sister since she is the smartest one of the family between me and her. I doubt my mom will be worried about me since I got the bad gens and she got the good ones as you put Yuuji."
Yuuji started to feel bad as he recalled the day he found out his friends sister had gone over seas to study. He had said she had gotten the good gens of the family. He had meant it as a joke but he had no idea the comment had hurt his friend seeing who his mom is.
"Sometimes I even think she doesn't really care about me." As he said this he remembered his time as a kid a small picture he had taken with his dad. His mother was busy helping his sister. She never seemed to have time for him since she tried to teach him things like his sister but he was a slow learner. His father was the only one that would really pay any attention to him he had always wondered why but he never figured out until he got older and his mother and father went to work overseas taking his sister with them seeing as she had gotten into a good school.
He was brought out of his thoughts by Yuujis voice.
"Hey are you even listening to me?"
"Sorry, but not really was lost in my thoughts and I doubt you have anything interesting to say to me."
"Even if you don't want to talk to me I have someone here who is eager to talk to you. We managed to pick her up along with a few people. Shouko was very happy she was alive seeing as they are best friends. She even seems to be a bit down something must have happen."
"And I should care why?"
There was nothing but silence on the other end. He was about to go back to his seat ignoring Mizuki and Minami but then he heard a voice. Getting a shocked look form Minami.
"Baka no Onii-chan!"
Akihisa eyes only widen at the voice he heard. He felt his heart skip a bet from joy he felt.
"Hazuki! You're alive?! Are you ok are you unhurt?!"
He asked in a panic thinking something had happen to her.
"I'm fine, it's just so good to know you're ok as well. But what are you doing on one of our schools buses? Shouldn't you be with your friends? Wait what happen to them?!"
"Calm down Hazuki, I'm glad you're ok as for what happen it will take a while to explain but I heard what happen from your sister."
"Oh, are you mad and is my sister ok?"
I'm not mad I was just worried about you and others finding out what happen. I was even trying to go back to see if my sister was ok. But, it looks like you did that for me thank you but is she ok? What about the others that went with you? He asked her as she heard the sound of something being handed to someone and heard a new voice.
"Hello? Can you hear me?"
"Kubo? Is that you!?" Akihisa asked with more joy in his voice seeing more of his friends where alive.
"Indeed, I am happy to hear that you are fine. It has been a while since I last heard your voice. I trust you are doing well?"
"As well as anyone can be doing when it's the end of the world. I'm pretty good expect for being covered in blood, I really need to clean it off before I start to smell unless the blood dry's".
"You're not hurt are you?" Kubo asked his friend with worry.
"No, I'm fine like I said. The blood isn't mine it belongs to the undead." He heard Kubo make a noise and knew what he wanted to ask. I wasn't bitten if that's what you're going to ask Kubo, so I'm still human if you can call me that." He said with a grin causing the few people that could his face worry he wasn't sane.
"I see, that's good then but you probably wondering what happen to your sister and us allow me to fill you in my friend."
Akihisa smiled only Kubo seemed to know what he was thinking making him wonder was he really easy to read. Or maybe Kubo was just a good friend. He only heard Kubo speak with a solemn tone in his voice making him worry.
"We are all fine and Hazuki is unharmed we have your friend Sugawa to thank for that. He was a big help on our mission on retrieving your sister. He seemed to really like Hazuki she even seemed to like hanging out with him, seeing as he sometimes gave her the power to command the FFF."
Akihisa just got a sweat as the thought of a power hungry Hazuki commanding the FFF was in his head. He couldn't help but smile a bit, but something that Kubo had said had suddenly got his attention.
"Why was he talking about Sugawa in past tense? Was he?! No maybe I'm just over thinking things, but I need to be sure. Please kami let me wrong for once in my dam life let me be wrong like I always was in the past."
"Kubo…."
"Yes?"
"Let me talk to Sugawa for a bit I need to give him my thanks."
"…"
That was all he needed to hear from him as he heard people around start to gasp realizing what happen. Akihisa felt a small pain in his chest knowing the truth about Sugawa. They may have not been friends but Sugawa was always a nice guy to and they even had a few meals with the other FFF members. Akihisa shook his head not having time to recall the past with what was happening.
"How?" Was all he said as he heard what sounding like Kubo adjusting his glasses.
"He was killed when we arrived at your apartments. He ran up the stairs ahead of us with his scythe. Even we were surprised that it was real but he said he had make sure nothing was ahead. But.."
"But what? Please tell me.."
"It was my fault! Hazuki yelled with tears in her eyes. I saw someone hurt and went to help him but I didn't know she was already bitten. He came to save me when I yelled when she tried to attack me. He got her off me but he got bitten!"
Hazuki started to cry and mumble not making any sense. Akihisa wanted to be there for her tell her it would be alright but he couldn't he didn't even know where her bus was.
"Hazuki, please calm down and don't cry please, and can you put Kubo back on please?"
She seemed to calm down but he could still hear her sniffing. He heard sound for a few moments and then.
"Yoshii-kun, I'm sorry she just."
"It's ok, but please just tell me a few of the details and how is my sister?"
"Very well, Sugawa got bitten you know that much. After he was bitten we tried to check on him but he said just look for your sister since it was too late for him. We nodded and ran to your apartment and found the door open. We feared the worst but when we entered Sugawa stayed outside saying better safe then sorry. We found your sister covered in blood but she was unharmed.
Akihisa just continued to listen.
"We didn't get to ask what happen since the undead had heard Sugawa yell."
The story went on as Akihisa listen and heard everything from star to finish to what had Sugawa had done to make sure they had escaped even telling them to tell him that he would owe him one day with a sad smile on his face. Akihisa continued and listen and was told that Sugawa was killed in front of his sister. He wanted if she was doing ok but.
"Don't worry, she will be fine with time." Was all Kubo said.
They wanted to say a few more things but the radio was losing single so they only had time to say goodbye.
Akihisa sighed walking over to his seat ignoring the looks of worry Mizuki and Minami. He felt other eyes on him but paid them no mind seeing as he had a lot to think about. He sat next to a resting Tomoe who looked to be reading the small diary of the now dead Maria.
"Should I continue to take her with me? Or should I leave her here with Iron man and my old school. Could I really leave her? She is part of my school and we need to stick with each other if we want to live." As Akihisa was in thought he looked over to his former friends and knew what they wanted.
"If you're going to say sorry or try and yell at me save it! I don't want to hear any of that shit right now, I have a lot to think about."
"Is one of those things shutting the hell up? Because the more noise you make the more of them you're going to attract to us." Tomoe said not looking at him as he glared at her.
"What's with the attitude?! You forgetting we are on a moving bus, I don't I mean we have anything to worry about?"
"You forgetting how we saved them?"
"We?" he asked her with a questionable look on his face.
"Yes we, they were overrun by the undead and you crashed us in them."
"Soooooo?"
"Never mind you baka."
Tomoe just returned to reading the diary not paying any more attention to him.
You know…. You may be cute but you can sometimes be a real pain... anyway just leave me alone you two. I want nothing to do with you at the moment beside I need go over all that's happen today."
"They were surprised by the way he was thinking things and where about to go back to their seats but."
"Aki?"
He didn't respond as he pulled out a rag and started to clean what blood he could off him and his sword.
"AKI!"
"Still he didn't answer her as he looked at his blade trying his best to ignore her. Minami looked enraged as he she spoke again.
"Why are you ignoring me!?"
Tomoe closed her book as she looked at Minami with a glare.
"Look I don't know who you are or what your relationship with this guy is? She said pointing at Akihisa who paid her no attention. But would you stop yelling like a crazy person! You're going to cause this bus to be overrun again, and I don't think we have another car to crash into them. Not to mention I don't think there are a lot of people that can fight on this bus.." she adjusted her glasses as she took them off and took the rag yoshii was using to clean some of the blood of her glasses and just put them back on when she was done cleaning them.
Minami wanted to yell at the girl but thought it was best not to seeing as she had a point with everything and she thought of a way to get her old friends attention and just spoke.
"Ummm, yoshii."
She didn't expect him to answer but she saw him look at her with a bored expression.
"What do you want? I told you I want to be left alone I want to be left to my thoughts, and you're going to try and say sorry or ask why am I so different save your sorry. If you really want to know why I changed its cause I studied."
"Huh?"
"At my new school we weren't dived into classes. so I had to either get in gear or have low grades, took me a while but a bit help from teachers that actually wanted students to do their best. Well expect for that one asshole that I really want to kill. My friends also helped me out when I was having trouble. I managed to get some good grades if I had to guess I would say I'm at least class c if I went to your sold school I have nothing to say to say anymore as I said please leave me alone, I'm a bit tired from everything that has happen today."
"But?!"
Akihisa only waved his hand in front them telling him to leave him alone and went back to ignoring them not answering them anymore.
Both girls returned to their seat hearing small whispers about their friend and didn't like what they were hearing. As for Akihisa he raised his hand and looked at his iron bracelet and smiled.
"I wonder if I can do something with this? Maybe I can call out my old friend but if he gets bitten will I turn since I can feel his pain?"
He could have sworn he heard his old avatar s voice coming form it and just shook the thought away as he looked at the setting sun and knew things would get worst in the dark. He could only his other friends would be ok.
"Stay safe you guys."
On bus with Saeko
Saeko, Hirano, and Takagi where sitting in the front rows of the bus. She was sitting with facing the back of the bus making sure Shido didn't try anything else as he talked to listening students that where growing. She knew from the way her friends talked about him that he was no good, it had almost wished he was the one to attack her to end his worthless life she sighed as she looked over to Hirano was cleaning his glasses what she found weird was that she saw Takagi holding the nail gun.
"She's going to use it? hmmm she did seem keen on trying to help out more not relying on him anymore. She must want to also make sure he stays alive."
Saeko looked at Shizuka who was driving the bus. She saw that her cheeks where still a bit red making her wonder what Akihisa had phone in her purse.
"Akihisa… she said his name in a whisper and closed her eyes thinking back to how they happen.
Flash back 1 year ago
Saeko was watching the practice match between a student and Akihisa. Over time she saw he had gotten better at kendo. As she watched the match she saw how focus he was on the match not given his opponent a chance to strike as he kept his distance.
"He seems to have gotten better, but why do I feel he is toying with his opponent? Is he in thought about something? Could it be he is still thinking about what he told me?"
She only recalled the what he had asked her and it made her think did he really mean he wouldn't judge her what she had done for who she had killed.. She heard a strange sound and looked up and saw Akihisa standing over his defeated opponent but she saw his face and saw that he head a dark grin on his face. She was surprised by his look but it only lasted a moment as he had a warm smile on his face again.
"Looks like it my win!"
She saw him offer his opponent a helping hand but saw him a bit afraid to take his hand. None the less he took his hand and was helped up and what he said surprised her.
"Thank, and sorry for what I said."
"No it's my bad for losing myself a bit but thanks for the apology."
Saeko saw the members start to leave and saw Akihisa walk over to his bag and start to pack his things. she began to pack her things and heard foot steps behind her and just went on instinct and just turned grabbing her sword and swung it behind her but was surprised it was Akihisa before she could stop herself she found her attack blocked by his sword.
"Whoa! What did I do?!"
She quickly regained herself as she put her sword back down looking at Akihisa who had a worried look on his face.
"Yoshii, please don't stand behind me."
"Ok, sorry but is something the matter?"
"Nothing is wrong why do you ask?" she asked him trying to play off the question.
"You seem a little worked up do you want to talk about it? He asked her as he put his sword down looking at her as she shook her head.
"No, I do not want to talk about anything as I said there is nothing wrong with me."
"Senpai, I can tell when you're lying to me. Remember I also had a mask but as I said I won't pray if you don't want me too, but I'm worried about you especially with what just happen."
She sighed looking into his eyes seeing that he was really worried for her and recalled what just happen and asked a question of her own.
"Yoshii, what you did during the match what happen?"
"Huh? What do you mean?" he asked trying to play it off as she did with his question
"During the match I saw you get a dark look on your face when you were fighting your opponent. Do you mind explaining why?"
"Oh, you saw that? I was kind hoping you didn't since it's a side of me I don't like to show people."
"A side you don't like to show?"
She saw him rub the back of his neck looking unconfutable not wanting to talk about it. Saeko was about to tell him to forget her question but he spoke.
"Well, I guess I can tell you since you have a mask as well so please just listen."
She saw him lean on the wall next to her trying not to be to close or far from her so he wouldn't have to repeat what he was about to say.
"Yoshii?"
"I guess you can call it part of my mask since I'm still wearing it. I hate when people call me an idiot and think that's all I am. I'm not the same as I was before."
"What do you mean? She asked him wanting to know a bit more about his mask."
"Well, like I told you at my old school I was an idiot and was given the title of idiot. So the whole school only saw me as an idiot without getting to know me, so I decided to hide my pain and just take everything that was thrown me the insults and all, but.."
"But?"
"Well I had to let it out or I would have gone crazy form it so I sort got out my stress with physically labor and class wars. So I guess the labor teachers made me do was good for something after all. Even with the labor I got I couldn't bring my grades up since I didn't have time to study since I was always tired. I guess I still haven't fully dropped my mask since some people still call me an idiot here for the way I introduced myself."
Saeko heard him sigh as he just stayed quite for a few moments before she decided to speak.
"Is that why you joined Kendo to get rid of some stress that you still have?"
"Well, yes that one of my reason. My second reason was because I wanted to try my hand at it since we didn't have it at my old school, I also have a new reason to stay in this club."
"May I ask what it is?"
He smiled as he looked at her.
"To get to know you more and see past your mask and find out why you are afraid of showing me who you really are."
Her eyes widen at his answer as she stepped away from him and saw his worried expression.
"I'm sorry! I know I said I wouldn't ask forgive me!"
She shook her head.
"It's ok, but as I said I'm not ready to talk about why I have a mask. But thank you for telling me yours Yoshii, you must really trust me."
"Yea I do and it's nice to tell someone who is a bit the same with mask." He told her with a small smile as she nodded agreeing with him. Nothing was said for a few moments.
"Umm, would you like me to walk you home it's getting kind of dark? I would be a little worried letting you go home alone."
Saeko thought about his offer and then thought back to what happen to her that cause her to make the mask. She knew it wouldn't happen now but could she take the chance of letting him find out how she really is.
"I'm sorry but I will be find alone but thank you for the offer. Maybe some other time, but thank you for the offer but I am not so weak that I need someone to escort me home."
She told him sounding a little harsh to him causing him sweat a bit as he stepped back from her.
"Ok, ok. I can take a hit beside I know you're not weak I was offering because I just wanted to walk you home. I'm sorry if you took it the wrong way, it was just a friendly jester." He told her with his hands up.
"I see, thank you for the offer and sorry I got mad."
"Hehehe, it's ok how about you make it up to me."
How? She said eyeing him seeing him grin wondering what he was planning.
"How about a quick match? I'm pretty sure I can beat you now!"
She smiled as she got her sword and pointed it at him.
"You are still not ready but very well if you insist then I will give you a match. Just try not to get to hurt this time." She told him with a friendly smile.
He just grabbed his sword and they both walked to the center of the room and touched swords with Saeko as they both turned their backs to each other. They took a few steps and kneeled before getting back up and turning to meet their gaze. They both bowed as they raised their wooden swords at the ready.
"I hope you still know what I told you?"
He didn't answer her as he kept his gaze on her not taking his eyes off her.
"He seems to be keeping focus on me. Good he is learning." She readied herself as she stepped forward a bit causing him to do the same.
"Ok, don't take your eyes off your opponent no matter how hot she is..dam it focus!
He just shook his head and made his move.
"Go!"
He ran forward at her causing her to be ready as he swung his sword hitting hers with force causing her to stagger. She countered as she moved forward and quickly hit his hands causing him some pain as stepped back shaking each hand in a bit of a pain.
"I told you, you can't beat me if you charge forward."
"I know but I'm playing to my strengths which happen to be my stamina and my swift movement."
He charged again but griped his sword harder and again slammed into Saeko who blocked it but again she staggered a bit as she gripped it with both hands and pushed him back but saw him attack again. Hitting her over and over again and giving her a chance to attack back.
"How long can you keep taking or reflecting my blows? You'll get tired soon unless you do something Saeko."
She had to admit he was right his blows were getting to her. She only collided with his sword and pushed forward as he did the same. They were a mere few inches from each other faces. She could see he was trying hard to be beat her she saw it in his eyes that where a bit hidden behind his brown locks of hair. She smiled as she spoke.
"You seem to trying very hard to beat me but. Huh?!"
She didn't get to finish as she felt herself give way as she felt Akihisa move his leg behinds hers and quickly pull from under her. She fell hitting the floor she looked up and saw his sword pointed at her she was shocked she had lost? But how?
"You tried to explain how I was trying hard but I left myself open. But I used the very thing you were going to do to me. But I used it first so I guess I win?" Akihisa said but then he looked her and saw her eyes darken.. huh? Hey are you ok? Sorry if I was a bit ruff."
She saw his smile and didn't know why or what happen but losing? She felt herself lose her mask. She didn't know why. He saw him reach for her and she recalled what had happened to her and just grabbed her sword and swiped her hand away causing him pain.
"Ahhhh! What the hell was that for?! I know I won but you don't have to hit me Saeko. Huh? Saeko are you ok?"
He saw her get up and quickly ran at him. He saw her face she had a dark look on her face. He only grabbed his sword and blocked the attack and felt the force behind it. Akihisa didn't get answer as she kept the attack on causing him to step back with each hit. He saw the look on her face and was a bit worried when he saw her smile.
"Is she trying to hurt me? No this feeling this intent its different then wanting to hurt, no she wanted to kill! Is this what she meant by her mask but why? What made her have it? And what did I do to make her lose it and attack me?!"
He tried to block her blows but she didn't seem to be giving him any chance to attack her so he did what he thought was best.
"AWAEKEN! Akihisa shouted causing a summoning flied to go around the kendo room. He took his chance and yelled. Summon!
A small orb appeared behind Saeko who had her gaze on Akihisa. The orb burst and out came out his old avatar who just looked at his summon and nodded. He lost his focus and tried to block the next incoming attack. But felt in incredible pain in his right shoulder and yelled in pain ash he dropped his sword grabbing his shoulder but couldn't do anything as she kept up the attack. He raised hi right arm trying to defend himself but felt his in pain with one well-placed hit.
"Saeko stop!" As he shouted at her he only tripped on the floor and felt his arm give into more pain. He felt his arm break as Saeko kept attacking not giving him a chance to stop her. As she raised her sword again one more time she felt herself get pushed towards the ground by Akihisa small avatar.
He just looked at her and saw her just lay on the ground not moving. He felt a small touch and looked over to his avatar who offered him a few bandages.
"Thanks little guy. Can you go and check on her?"
He nodded as he listened to his master's orders and went to check on Saeko as he began to try wrap his bandages around his hurt arm.
"I think she may have broken a few bones… dammit I think I need to get checked at the hospital? Guess I will just tell them I fell down some stairs? Man that sounds so fake."
He heard her start stir awake and just stood up walking over to her hoping she was ok. He looked at his avatar and just recalled the summing filed and bid his friend farewell. He crouched down to her and used his good hand and moved her a bit trying to ignore the pain in his arm.
"Hey are you ok?"
"Huh? Yoshii? What happen? Wait.. she sat up closing her eyes a bit and then recalled what happen and just looked at him noticing his injured arm. No… yoshii did i?"
"Never mind about me, this is nothing sure it hurts but I'm use to pain at this level just answer me are you ok?"
She looked at his injured arm and saw he was in pain but he was asking about her. She didn't answer him as she just got up and ran out of the room.
"Wait! Ahh! Dammit I need to get this thing checked out but I need to see if she is ok. He tried going after her but didn't get very far as the pain got him. I guess I will talk to her tomorrow. I hope she isn't upset about this." he decided to go and get his arm checked and try to talk things out with Saeko later if he could but he finally seen her real self. Past the mask she had and he wanted to know why? Why was she like this? He would find out no matter what.
Saeko was running no fleeing from what just happened she didn't want to face him now Not with what had happen she didn't know what she would do. She had only lost control once and that was with a man she didn't know nor did she care he was dead. He had to die but this time she had lost her mask on a friend one who knew she had a mask and one in the club with her.
"What have I done I could have killed him, but why did I lose it during a match? Why…?"
Saeko just ran out of the school not looking back not stopping until she got home. She knew that he would hate her and call her a monster that was what she was.
The next day she made her way to school thinking something would happen to her. She knew that Akihisa had probably told people what had happen. As she neared the school she saw Akihisa at the entrance talking to Takashi and Hirano who looked a bit worried about him. She saw him turn and wince when she saw his right arm in an arm holder holding it in place so it could heal.
She expected his friends to be mad but she saw them shake their heads and just smile. She managed to get close enough to them and hid behind a nearby wall and hear them.
"So you really hurt yourself using your avatar?" Takashi asked him sounding like he didn't believe him
"Remember Takashi from what Akihisa showed us his avatar feels his pain and the same way the other way around. So he must have been using his avatar for something and well it got out of hand." Hirano said adjusting his glasses.
"Hehehe, yea I hate that my dam punishment bearer tittle. I cant believe it came with me then again I never really got it removed since the old hag says it follows me everywhere. Well as long as I have this." Akihisa said showing his iron bracelet.
Nothing else was said as the three friends just headed towards the school. Saeko looked from behind the corner and saw them heading for the entrance. But she saw them stop as Takashi looked a bit uncomfortable when a man with a girl approached him. She didn't hear what was said but they looked like they got into an agreement before Takashi just walked passed him being followed by his friends. She looked that the girl looked a bit hurt but she had her own problems to deal with.
"He lied to them? But why? He told me he doesn't like lying to his friends if he can avoid it. Then why lie to them? Wait he did also say he would lie for them. He still thinks of me as a friend?"
She didn't know what think as she decided to go to class and try to forget what had happen. During the school day she heard a few people talk about someone getting hurt. Saeko knew they meant Akihisa he was the only she knew they would talk about seeing as he always wore that iron bracelet on his left hand and they all saw him as a weird person.
As the end of the day came there was no practice but she decided to stay and get some more training in. she started work on her attacks by attacking a training dummy trying to relive some of her pent up stress hoping it would make her feel better. Paying full attention to her target she didn't hear or notice the door open she was brought out of her trance as she heard his voice making her look at the person with wide eyes.
"Nice to see you still haven't lost any skill."
"..Yoshii.. What are you doing here?"
"I came to talk to you about what happen yesterday."
She stiffened as she was about to try and leave but saw him standing in front of the door.
"No, you're not running, I need you to tell me about your mask and with what happen to me I think I should my answer…please… Saeko I want to understand." Akihisa told her as he sat in front of the door with his wooden sword in his left hand.
Saeko only looked at him with wide eyes she saw he had no intention of moving. Not until she answered him she could easily make him move with his injured arm but she didn't want hurt him not anymore. She turned his back on him and just kneeled not looking at him.
They both stayed silent as neither said anything for a while. Saeko could feel him still there with his gaze on her. She didn't say anything as his gaze was still on her. She felt it his gaze leave her for a moment and looked over her shoulder and saw him with his eyes closed. She saw him open them looking back at her and saw him smile at her as she looked away. She felt time pass and gave one final sigh as she spoke.
"Yoshii…"
"Yes?"
"I'm a monster." Was all she said as his eyes widen?
"What? Why say that your monster? Why say something that isn't true?"
"It's true! I'm nothing but a monster that enjoys giving pain to others!"
"Saeko what are you talking about?" He asked her with worry as he stood up with the support of his sword. He tried to get near her. But stopped when she spoke.
"It's about my mask…. The real me you saw yesterday.. That was the real me! The one you have known is nothing but a fake, the real me loves causing pain."
Akihisa wanted to know what she was saying and was shocked by what she starting say next. He may have wanted to know about her mask. But he heard start her tale of what happen 4 years ago. He couldn't believe what she was telling. With her being assaulted but managing to fend off her attacker.
"Then its good you got away right you didn't get hurt?"
She stood up and turned to face him but he saw that same look on her face again. He may have been hurt but he readied his sword with his hand thinking it was a good thing he was good with his left hand then his right hand. He saw her put her hand on her face and saw her smile with a dark grin.
"No, I didn't get hurt but he did…"
"Huh?"
"You still don't understand?! Do I really have to spell it out!? I killed him!"
Her words left him shocked as he tried to think of some reason for this.
"I men I was safe after I knocked him out but I kept attacking him till he was dead! Even after he was dead I just kept attacking not caring about the blood I got on me because I liked it! I loved the pain I cause him. Of course after the attack the police didn't press chargers since he attacked me and it was self-defense… but it wasn't self-defense I killed him in cold blood and enjoyed ever sec and hit I gave him. You see I am nothing but a monster!"
He saw her gin again as she held out her arms smiling with a crazed look on her face. He saw her turned her back and heard chuckling coming from her. He took a step forward and again he heard her.
"Go ahead and hate me! Call me a monster! A killer someone who shouldn't be on this earth!"
Saeko heard footsteps but felt one arm wrap around her waist and heard his voice.
"You're not a monster Saeko…. No matter what you may think you're not a monster you are you no matter what others may say."
"NO! Dont you see what I did what I did to you! I am nothing but a monster in human disguise!"
She got free form his one arm hug and turned to see him but found herself pushed against the wall behind her. He placed his left hand on the wall forcing her to look at him.
"I don't care what you did to me! I'm use to pain! At my school I got hurt a lot over nothing since I can feel my avatars pain, and as I said you're not a monster."
"…"
"You may think your one but you're not and that guy you killed needed to die!"
"What?"
"If a man like that attacked you, who knows what else he could have done in his pathetic life. He was the real monster not you and he needed to be killed. Listen to me please you can call yourself a monster but you're not one you're your own person and your my friend."
"How can you call someone like me a friend.. don't you."
"Like I said I don't care that you hurt me even if the one who hurt me was you without your mask. I wont judge you on it I know you and as I said I want to know the real you so I will not care what others or even humanity says about you. They are not the ones who know you."
"Akihisa…."
"Please just don't try to push me away just cause I know the real you now. Let me in, I know my mask may not be like yours but you need to understand everyone has a mask and they hide their true selves. No one ever shows their self to others without being feared of being judged even if they do I wont judge you I don't care about your mask. So just out your trust in me your friend."
She saw the look in his eyes the caring look he had for her and not judging her after she had told him everything and she was trying to accept her. She had no idea how to react, she thought he wouldn't be her friend or even hang out with her anymore but he was willing to.
He dropped his one good hand and just held out his hand as a token of friendship and asking her. With some hesitation she took it and felt his grip as he held it and smiled.
Flash back end
Saeko sighed remembering that time he had gotten her to open up a bit about her mask and he introduced her to his other friends and was surprised they had masks but weren't like hers. She saw how people treated Hirano and saw the looks on his face sometimes when he spoken to by Shido. Takashi's mask was one she saw when he would come near his old friend and girlfriend. She never understood what had happen between them but thought it was best not ask unless he told her.
The one thing that had changed was Akihisa and hers relationship if she could call it one, she had gotten a bit closer to Akihisa but she didn't know what to call what they had. He was always trying to get closer to her but she didn't know if she wanted this seeing as she had hurt him. She liked talking to him and even went with him when she invited her out but. They had not had their first kiss so where they dating?
"Sigh, I hope you're ok and that we will meet soon Akihisa… I.. I still cant find the words…"
With Takashi and Rei
Rei looked around her as she night had finally set making her a bit worried as in the night she heard a few people yelling for help other in pain. She thought Takashi would be fazed by the sounds but he had his eyes on the road. She didn't think he would say anything but,
"Why are you so tense? Is it because it's night? If you want we can stop for tonight and find a safe place to rest?" Takashi asked her in a soft voice not taking his eyes of the road as he stopped the bike in an open area.
"Uhm no I'm fine lets just keep going its dangerous to stop in the open."
"Yea I agree we can't keep stopping when we feel like it besides we need to meet up with the others at the police station. After looting that police car we can't take any more risk or we will risk being bitten. Then again you won't care if I get bitten will you Rei?"
"What?!" She almost yelled shocked at what he just said. Takashi shook his head and said it was nothing and just started up the bike again and taking off again.
None of them said anything as she could feel Takashi was a bit tense and in thought as they kept going forward.
"Hey, Takashi?"
"What is it?" he asked her.
"Well, I want to know why you said what you just did."
"Oh that, just forget about it. it was a slip of the tongue I didn't mean to say it."
"But why would you think I would want you bitten? I don't want you to die your all."
"If your going to say that I'm all you have left then just keep it to yourself. I really don't want to hear it."
"Huh?"
"Rei, let's face the facts I know I'm your second choice and I will always be. Hell I don't know why you broke up with me nor do I really care but you did in when I was talking to Akihisa and just left me there just saying sorry and not even giving me an answer. It wasn't until later when I met Hirano through Akihisa that I found out why you were held back."
"Takashi you're not my second choice I love you." Rei told him meaning the words but didn't expect him to get mad.
"Love is just a word Rei and coming from you when the world is coming to end I don't believe you. You want me dead for what I did even if you don't admit it I can see it in your eyes. I can't tell you how many times I wanted him dead but what could I do? call me a jealous bastard or whatever you want but I know you hate me… yet I still care about you that I can't change. So please do me a favor and don't say you love me since I know it's a lie."
"No! it's not! The only reason you're talking like this is because you started to hang out with them."
Rei felt him stiffen as he spoke with a bit more of anger.
"So you're going to blame me for not wanting your feelings on my friends? If you want to blame someone blame your dead lover."
"What does he have do with this?"
"It has everything to do with this! I don't know what he told you about my friends or why you even believed him but you seemed to believe his words over mine. Even when you came to talk me alone when I was having lunch with Hirano and Akihisa you asked why I was hanging out with them? I told you I wanted to because they were my friends and I liked hanging out with them. We had different likes some of us had weirder likes then others but we still became friends. Yet you didn't believe me and said I was just trying to hurt you. Yet you where the one who kept hurting me."
"How did I ever hurt you?"
"It's not important even if I told you, you would deny it and say I am over thinking things and maybe I am."
She didn't what to say to what he had told her she wanted to deny what he was saying but she knew in her mind that he was telling the truth. She thought back to the day she broke up with him. She didn't want to but she knew she couldn't hide the new feelings that had appeared when she was put in the same class Takashi's friend. She had seen how hurt Takashi was with her words when she broke it to him in front of their new friend. She thought they would still be friends but he stayed away from her and spent his time with Takashi…
"Have I really been that heartless and have I really hurt them that bad?"
She looked at Takashi and saw his face not showing any emotion. She knew it wasn't the best time but she thought it was best to get it off her chest,
"Takashi…"
"Everything OK Rei?" He asked with concern in his voice.
"I'm sorry.. I know you think I don't mean it but."
She didn't get to finish as he stopped the bike and look ahead of himself and just cursed.
"Looks like we might have some trouble Rei."
She looked over his shoulder and saw zombies walking towards them.
"They must have heard the sound of the motor. Rei you think you can keep them off of me as I drive"
"Of course don't underestimate my skills. I'll do whatever it takes to keep us alive."
She readied her make shift spear as Takashi grinned and just nodded. As he hit the throttle speeding toward them. Rei just began using her spear to impale the few zombies while on the bike keeping her balance. Takashi making sure not to run into any of them making sure he was a safe distance from them. Takashi ignored the blood that came from the ones Rei was killing or shoving out of his way. They managed to escape the small horde of the undead leaving a trail of the dead behind them.
Rei only sighed she looked at the blood covering her weapon and felt a bit disgusted by the site but it was one she had to grow attached to seeing as the world was going to hell. She looked at Takashi who didn't seem to care that he had some blood on his face but she saw he just wiped it but he didn't seem to care.
"Takashi are you alright?"
"Huh? Yeah I'm fine but it looks like we might have to stop and get some gas for the bike. It looks like who ever had it last forgot to fill up the tank and we are nearly empty."
"Wait you're going to stop for gas?!"
"I know it's not the best idea ever but unless you want to start walking through the undead we need to stop."
Rei just gave a defeated sigh as she agreed with him not seeing anything else to do. He drove a the bike for a few more minutes and got off the highway seeing a gas station.
"Looks like we are in luck Rei."
"I'm just glad there aren't any more of them near us."
As Takashi entered the gas station are he stopped near a gas pump and parked the bike.
"Don't let your guard down Rei we never when they will be around. He looked at the gas pump and cursed as he saw that it only took cash. Dammit, I knew I should have gotten the money those two owe me. Hey Rei do you have cash on you?"
Rei just gave him a glare as he just gave her a curies look.
"Sorry, but I don't have any right now. So what are we going to do?"
"It's Fine, looks like I have to do a bit of stealing. Mind handing me my bat?"
"Uh, sure but what are you going to do?"
"Well we need money for gas so I'm going to take it from the register."
"But that's stealing!?"
"So? I don't see anyone hearing going to stop me beside you need to think about the situation we are in. Right now no one is doing anything to stop people from stealing or killing each other. So I don't think they will care about it right now seeing as the most important thing right now would be supplies and medicine. So I stealing will be nothing."
"Uh." She couldn't say anything she knew he was right with the way things are. She just handed him his bat and saw him go inside the store. Leavening her alone.
Takashi walked in the store and saw that had been ransacked stuff thrown all over the place not leaving anything that looked useful.
"Well so much for finding any supplies that could have helped us. I wonder if this place has a storage area? There might be something in there we can use. Never mind that can wait I can't leave her alone out there for long. He walked over to the front counter and saw it was left untouched and only smiled. Just as I thought, might as well get to work."
Takashi raised his bat and began to try and break the register. Outside Rei just looked into the hearing the sounds of Takashi hitting the register.
"Sigh, he really seems to be enjoying. How can he be? Cant he see how dangerous it is to enjoy yourself in this kind of world? She leaned against the gas pump and just sighed. Maybe I should cut him a break I mean he has been through a lot not to mention all the stuff I just said he is probably confused."
Takashi looked at the fallen money.
"Well looks like I'm now a crook not that it really matters now. Wonder if I should go steal something else that could help us?"
"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
"REI!?"
Takashi heard her scream and just grabbed what he could and shoved the money into pocket before running out side fearing the worst. As he ran out side he a dark skinned man holding Rei.
"What the hell is going on?!"
Rei tried to get free from the man's grip but stayed still when the man pulled out a knife and began to laugh.
"Hahahahah, you sure have a nice piece of ass here you know that kid?"
"You! Let her go right now!"
"Hahhaha, why the hell would I do that? You think I want to go for one of those undead bitches?" As he said this Takashi clenched his teeth in anger as he saw the unknown man grope Rei breast causing her to give a small yell.
"What hell is wrong with you? Are you crazy or something?"
"Crazy? Hahahah of course I'm crazy!? My whole family became part of those monsters right in front me. I had to kill them all just to stay alive I didn't want to but I didn't want to die hahahah. You think any normal person wouldn't be crazy after that? Who would be fine after killing their own family with their own hands?"
Rei saw her chance and pushed the man away and try to escape but found her self-caught again after running a few steps. She only called for Takashi's help but stopped when the man spoke.
"You better stop right there! If I where you I'd drop the bat or else I'll kill this slut you seem to like. I also want the bike you hear me!?"
"The bikes empty it doesn't have any gas."
"You think I'm an idiot? I heard you inside now just put the cash in and fill it up."
Takashi was only in thought as he was thinking about the many ways things could turn each ending with something happening either to him or to Rei. In the end he only did what he was told and threw the bat to the side causing it to cause an echo across the empty street. He knew what would happen it would draw them in but it's what he wanted. Takashi had no other choice as he filled the bike with gas knowing they were growing closer with each passing second. When he was done he was told to step back and walk away.
"Hey do you think you could let us go now? since you have what you want?"
"Why the hell should I?"
"We don't want any more trouble we just want to be on our way and make sure that our families are ok."
Takashi walked towards the man hoping he would let Rei go.
"Don't you dare take another step forward do you hear me?!" The man yelled in rage as Takashi lowered his hand thinking he would have no choice but to use the gun he had gotten. He wasn't a very good shot but he was in no means bad with all the shooting he had done with his friends and Rika.
"Look man we just want to leave so just let us ago and."
"I told you not take another step forward!"
He had his chance as he ran forward and pulled his gun our and held it against the man's chest. He only cocked the gun causing the man's eyes to widen in fear as he spoke.
"I will not ask again, let her go or I will shoot you. I may not be a good shot like Hirano but I wont miss from this close up and from where I have the gun it will not kill you but it will leave a deep wound."
"But, if you fire the gun you'll hit the gas tanks and they'll explode!
"So? Not like I care if die but I wont let anyone hurt Rei not while I still breathe. Not let her go or else, I would rather avoid shooting you since you will stand a better chance of living through this world now but then again I don't think a person like should be left alive if you're going to go around abusing the living.."
Rei was in shock at what he was doing he was actually giving him a chance to let her go rather than shooting him but why? Why give this man a chance after what he was doing to her. She was brought out of her thoughts as she heard a gunshot and felt herself let go looking over she saw the man lie on the floor in pain grabbing his shoulder.
"Ahhhh, I'm bleeding."
"I gave you a warning I thought you would be smart enough to take it. Rei start the bike."
"Uhhh, ok but what are you?"
"Just do it!"
She did as she was told and just turned on the bike as she looked over to Takashi who walked back to the bike not giving the man a second a look.
"Wait your just going to leave me here? If you have to help me!?"
Rei looked around and saw many of the dead nearing them and wanted to leave as soon as she could but saw Takashi walk back to the man.
"Wait you're going to help him!? After what he did to me?!"
He didn't answer her as she saw him raise his gun towards the man.
"Takashi?..."
"Please no!"
"Bang!"
Rei was in shock as she had seen Takashi shot the man in the head just putting his gun away and walking back to the bike before just getting on.
"Let's go.."
"Right…" she got on the bike and they just took off leaving the gas station. They didn't say anything as Takashi just drove away and found a high way entrance and took it.
"Takashi…."
"Something up? he asked her."
"Why did you?"
"Isnt that what you wanted? You wanted him dead right? You thought I wouldn't do it?"
"No well uhhh," she didn't know how to answer him she wanted to but didn't have the right answer.
"Don't worry I didn't really do it for you as much as I just gave him a mercy killing. He was a man that killed his family I doubt he was thinking and."
"And what?"
"No one and I mean no one should go around living like that.."
Rei didn't say anything as she thought back to how Hisashi didn't want to become one of them. She only had one thought as she held onto Takashi.
"What's happening to you? I feel like I don't even know you anymore.."
well done i know some are wondering what and why a few things happen well that's for later. now do you guys think i should add a chapter telling Hazukis story and what happen with her group? i am leaning on yes then again some readers might not like it. as i said i am now leaning on Takashi with Tomoe since Rei is still so so. as i said yes or no lemons? and i am doing a serean kagura cross over as i said:P. the next chapter of this fic will be worked on once i get and answers and if hazuki should get her own chapter with her group.
make sure to check my other fics i just posted a new one a cross over with baka and test and boku wa tomodachi ga sukunai it will be up soon. i also have a dangan ronpa fic up as well. another fic i am thinking of doing is on with high school DXD and is it a zombie with baka and test since i am gett request i even got one for attack on titan not sure if that will work for me but then again i like a challenge with baka and test. i even git a sekirei cross over on my mind
