This is the first time I wrote entirely about Ultear Milkovich. She is a fine woman that I adore so much. But, THE CURSE hardly shares about happy story.
p/s: I didn't own FT.
It was raining heavily. Ultear Milkovich, a young woman from the infamous and respectable Milkovich family, dressed in black, wore a black hat that decorated with black flowers, holding a black umbrella, stood in the rain, in front of a tombstone. She stared at the name written on the tombstone, but her mind blank.
MEREDY.
The name had given so much meaning to her life. The owner of the name had taught her the beauty of life and put colours in it. Now that Meredy had left, eventhough she had promised that they would stay together till the end of life. But the girl's life was shorter.

Ultear pulled a big black box from the top of a wardrobe in her room. She blew the dust off the box.
"That box is surely untouched," a voice startled her but she acted calm.
The door was carefully closed and the voice's owner – a man with blue hair – walked to her. He then sat on her bed, next to her. She smiled bitterly.
"They said that you're leaving," he talked.
"I should've done that long ago," she replied.
Ultear opened the box. The man peeked into it as well. He reached to a pack of photos. He looked to it one by one.
"Is this you?" he asked, showed her a photo of a baby.
"Yea. I was so adorable," she said.
"You never showed me these. You're truly adorable when you're a baby," he said. "Hey, I didn't know this photo exists!"
Ultear glanced at the photo. She chuckled.
"It was our first meeting. Do you remember?" she asked.
"Yes, I still remember it. But I didn't remember that I was so handsome back then. I never thought that I was so good looking since I was a little boy."
She nudged him lightly.
"Jellal, you are my bestfriend. Do you think I will befriend with a no-look boy?"
The blue-haired man, Jellal, laughed. "That's hurt!" he said, clutched to his chest. They laughed.
Jellal put the photos back into the box.
"Since we are bestfriend, what if I go with you? You won't be bored traveling alone," he suggested.
Her hand was holding a snow globe. She stared into it. Then she shook the globe and stared at it.
"I was born with solitary star. I was curse to remain solitary forever. I had lost so many people I loved ever since I was born." She paused. Jellal watched her quietly. "The day I was born, I lost my father."
"It was a robbery," Jellal added.
"My family gave me up. They blamed me for his death, eventhough they didn't say it to my face."
"They are superstitious," he said.
"They sent me to the orphanage."
"You met me. At least, I haven't died."
Ultaer turned to her bestfriend. She smiled bitterly.
"My mother died when I was sixteen. A few days after I came back to this house."
"She was sick," he reminded.
"She was sick since I was born. The death of her husband made her worse. I made her became like that."
"You didn't ask for that," Jellal said.
"I didn't, but my curse did."
"So, you had become superstitious as well."
"I tried to not, but I can't help but believe that it's true. The curse of solitary does exist and it falls on me," she said.
He wrapped his arm around her shoulder and brushed gently. She rested her head on his shoulder.
"Azuma died saving me."
"He died a hero," he said.
"And, Meredy. I couldn't save her. I tried but I couldn't. I killed her."
"You still have me," he assured.
"I don't want you to die. You what's left of me." She lifted her head and looked into his eyes. "Promise me that you will stay alive."
Jellal opened his mouth but no voice came out.
"I want to remind myself that there's someone who still remember me. There's someone's waiting for me at home."
He curved a smile. And slowly hugged her. "I promise." She slowly smiled.

Ultear stopped on the staircase. She looked at every face that was expecting her.
Gray and Lyon, her stepbrothers.
Jellal Fernandes, her bestfriend.
Mrs. Grandine, the headmistress of the orphanage she stayed when she was little.
And some others she didn't really close with.
"Miss Ultear."
A woman with long blonde hair, wearing a pair of black-rimmed glasses, greeted her. Ultear nodded. The woman cleared her throat before started speaking.
"I am Mavis Vermilion, lawyer of the Milkovich family. I, hereby announced that the name Ultear Milkovich is removed from the list of heirsin which brings to the meaning that Ultear Milkovich will not receive even a single cent from Milkovich's wealth. The name Ultear Milkovich also has been removed from being a part of Milkovich family. She is allowed to carry the name Milkovich at the end of her name, but she is no longer related to the respectable Milkovich family. These statements has been proposed, approved and signed by Miss Ultear Milkovich herself, and witnessed by me, Mavis Vermilion."
The female lawyer closed her file. Ultear shook her hand and thanked her.
"You don't have to go that far," her stepbrother, Gray, spoke. The others nodded agreeing.
Ultear just smiled.
"I hope this will be our last meeting. Since we are no longer related, do not greet or speak to me if you see me somewhere," she adviced. "Jellal," she called for her friend.
The blue-haired man took her case and brought her to a car waiting outside.

They arrived to a train station. The train had just arrived and would be departing anytime soon. Ultear hopped into the train. Jellal then handed her her case.
"You don't have to go that far till you need to remove your name from the family history," Jellal said.
"It would stain the family history to have a member that is cursed," she replied.
"You'll come back, right?" he asked.
She didn't quickly answer.
"No. But I can give a second thought to it," she said, and chuckled.
He nodded lightly. He saw she pulled a ring from her finger and stretched it out to him.
"Azuma gave it to you," he said, with a surprised face.
"He did. It's a wedding gift. I won't be here when you're marrying your dream girl," she explained.
She placed the ring onto his palm.
"Remember your promise," she reminded as the train started to move.
He stepped backward. She waved with the train leaving the station. He watched her and wondered when he will meet her again.
