Here's the next chapter which will only make sense if you read the last chapter and some of it is based off Perilous Puzzle in Season 4 of Escape from Scorpion Island

Kim POV
I woke up feeling refreshed after a good night's sleep. I think it was because I knew Jack was alive and helping us. I got up and saw Eddie was still asleep so I decided to get the fire going and some hot water for drinks. I also knew we would have to pack.
I got out of the tent to find that the fire was going and some water was boiling away. I went over to where my bag was and found they were all packed. Eddie then appeared out of the tent.
"Morning Kim. Ready to win this thing?" Eddie asked full of energy
"Like we're going to win" I say back
"I reckon we're in third and can win since we have the best tactics" I just look at him. We sit down to eat breakfast when a note arrives from the Island. I pick it up and read it out to Eddie
"Morning Team Water Campers, Hope you slept well. You are currently in last and earned 0 points yesterday. Today you will carry on collecting stars and when the horn goes you must stop collecting stars and head to the area with the x on your map. Good Luck"
"So we have a lot of work to do today then" Eddie says. We eat breakfast and pack up our tents and get ready to go on the horn.
"Morning E and K. Just to tell you that star 4 and 6 are together at star 6 location so the route is easy to follow. Head out to the star 2 and follow the path and that should give you all the stars. Good luck. J and M out" Milton says through the radio.
"Now we know which route to go so let's prepare ourselves." I say. Within minutes we are ready to go and the horn sounds and we head off. We start off at a quick pace as it's only 8 and I can tell it's going to be a hot day so better off getting more done in the cool. It wasn't long before we found the path we needed to be on. I had seen on the map that this route had all the inner stars on and the only star we missed on the outer route yesterday was star 6 which had been moved for our benefit. I was looking forward to tonight when we could relax and believe it or not I missed my bed in the tree-house.
"I can't wait to jump into the sea. I actually miss it" Eddie says breaking the silence we were walking in
"I know the cold waves and the taste of salt in my mouth" I say dreaming of the water
"We all play catch and do swimming races which we always lose to Jack" He says before asking "Do you think its Jack who's helping us?"
"Who else do you know who doesn't sleep much and always works" And he laughs as Jack is always working
"He sorted our pasta out last night didn't he" I nod at his statement
"Classic Jack. He's probably following us now and listening to what we are saying isn't he" Eddie said getting louder towards the end
"He could be but he wouldn't come out of our shadows or he could be moving more stars for us" I reply to him
"You know I was thinking about when this is over what's going to happen to us" I give him a weird look
"We have become so close and I will admit that our team is my best friends but when we go back to our old lives what will happen. Will we ever see each other again or would it be like a holiday which you become close to a family and exchange emails yet never see each other again" He says and it makes me stop and think but I know the answer
"I know that we will never fall out of contact as we have memoires and stories that we will remember forever and in the future when we tell others the memoires of those stories will make you want to contact us. I mean we will remember this camping trip" A smile comes on his face as he knows what I'm saying is true
"How long do you think is left?" He asks
"Of what this day or the Island?"
"The Island. We have been here a little over a week and school restarts in about a month" He said
"I really don't know. I would say that in the next 2 or 3 days we would reach halfway and if I have learnt anything from reality TV and other shows is that at halfway something bad always happens" I tell him and laughs a bit before going quiet.
"Are you ok?" I ask him
"I'm just thinking about what my friend will would say when I tell him why I've not been around. He would never believe that I have been living outside off 3 meals a day"
"I think I have a few more people to tell who like you would never believe what I did. They all think that I'm a cheerleader who doesn't care about anything other than my looks but" Eddie cuts me off
"You have brains, don't mind getting your hands dirty and have met up with the boy who everyone fell in love with" I laugh at the last part
"Exactly but most people wouldn't believe me"
"Believe what that you spent your summer on an Island or that you have met up with and will probably be going out with Jack Brewer" He asks
"Both"
"If they don't believe it then they are stupid as we know it's real as I'm going to have some blisters from all this walking"
"Thanks Eddie for making me feel better about returning" I say to him
"If you want to feel even better then look around as we have reached the first star of the day" I turn around and there it is. We stop for a few minutes and take a breather before carrying on.
Milton POV
"They reached the first one" Jerry tells me. He's watching the map while I sort out the camp stuff from last night. I don't think either of us got any sleep as Jerry isn't as loud and as full of energy as he normally is. I know I didn't sleep because there were bright lights shining on us all nights and the amount of creepy-crawlies in what we call the prison cell kept increasing. We also had to put up with another team fighting or most of the night then just as I did get to sleep the Island Helper decided it would be good to wake everyone one up for morning stamina and team-building exercises. One of us got let out of the cage at once and had to run 10 laps around the area we were in and if we were last we had to do 10 press-ups. I was 2nd to last so just got out of them but Jerry was last so had to do them. The team building exercise was being tied together from what I think was 5.30 till the start which was about 8ish. I think we ended up sleeping for the first part of that time before we got up and had breakfast when that other team started arguing again. I think all of the other teams including us groaned at the same time.
We had decided that only one of us would watch the map as that would save both of us being insanely bored from watching the map at the same time.
"Milton what does this mean?" Jerry said to me and I walked over to the map. There was what I suspected was a warning sign but I didn't understand what it was saying so I quickly got out the handbook. I was flicking through the book and out of the corner of my eye I saw Jerry walking around the cage
"Jerry what are you up to?" I asked him
"Searching for clues in the prison" He said like it was obvious.
After a few more minutes I came across hwta I think it was in the hand book
"Jerry do you think this is it?" He runs over and looks and nods.
"Ok then press the red button, then the green and finally the blue" I call out to him
"Done that"
"Right Now pull the red lever down and the green one towards me and that should fix it"
"It's gone" I walk over to the map and sit down
"That was exciting wasn't it" Jerry says obviously having an adrenaline rush
"It was the most exciting thing that has happened over the 2 days" I say back.
We sit in silence for a few minutes and we hear the other teams shouting at each other and then 2 loud pops. The Island Helper then appears out of nowhere
"Well Done to Team Water and Team Earth for figuring out what you had to do to save your maps. Fire and Wood you now have no access to your team mates and all electric devices are now down in your area"
Kim POV
We had carried on walking and had found more stars with only 1 more to find. We had come across the girls from Team Wood who couldn't get hold of their teammates on the walkie-talkie then saw us and ran off in 2 different directions before running into each other and falling to the ground. As we walked down the path a bit further he heard the horn go. Me and Eddie and looked at each other knowing that we might be missing a puzzle piece and then headed to the area marked X on the map. I had thought about what area X might be like and the best I could come up with was a wasteland which was like that because of a nuclear war but I knew that wouldn't be true. After a few minutes we arrived at a clearing with a massive red X in the middle of it. If you take the red X out of it then it would look like something out of a story book. We walked further in where we saw the stands with our emblems separated out with massive puzzle boards behind it. We walked over to our stand. It wasn't long when the other teams arrived.
"Welcome to the final part of the challenge. This will determine the final positions. All the stars you have collected might open a puzzle piece on the ground which will form part of the puzzle which you would have to place up on the puzzle board behind you. If you are missing any then when you finish you will have 15 second penalty. The team with the quickest time wins. You may start on the claxon." The Island Master told us all
As soon as the claxon went we ran about unlocking the puzzle pieces. At this point you could tell the different tactics. We had decided to unlock the pieces first whereas other teams had gone for putting the pieces on or simply building the puzzle on the floor. I had given Eddie all of my leftover stars to see if he could open any of the others and I began working on the puzzle. I had worked most of it out when I realised that I was missing a piece.
"Eddie doing we have another piece?" I asked him
"I think this is supposed open but I can't open it" He told me and I went over to help him and he was right it was supposed to open and we a bit of brute force it did open and we placed it in the puzzle.
"You go up on the ladder and I will pass them up to you" Eddie said
We worked quickly on getting the pieces up onto the board but we slowed right down when it came to the upper pieces as they were weird shapes so didn't fit together brilliantly but also going up and down the ladders was hard work especially in the mid afternoon sun. There was a horn which went off when someone had won. The first and second one went off within minutes of each other. We finished a good 15 minutes after the second place but at least 15 minutes in front of last but they were also missing pieces.
Once last finished who I think was Wood had finished we headed back to camp where we found Jerry and Milton there already.
"Look who has turned up" Jerry shouted before running off to the side
"Good you're all in one piece and I'm actually going to suggest we all go in the sea as it's warm and it looks like you 2 need to cool down" Milton told us while handing us cool glasses of water which Eddie downed in one.
"Someone was thirsty" Milton said
"Yes I was and now I need to go and use a real bathroom" He said before running off.
"You didn't have a real toilet at camp" Milton asked and I shook my head. I suddenly felt something hit me on my back and my back getting drenched followed by Jerry laughing. I turned round to glare at him and he ran off.
"You're getting him back aren't you" Milton says seeing my look in my eye and I nod at him. I go and get changed and join Jerry and Milton in the sea with Eddie joining not long after me. We play many games with each other and I dunk Jerry on 3 different occasions as revenge for him hitting me with a water bomb.
As the night sky begins to come in we all leave the sea to head to the showers and sort ourselves out as we very little if any washing facilities last night. I had the last shower so I had the coldest one but there was still some heat so I made the most of it and when the heat had gone I left the shower.
When I went to joined the boys it was dark but the boys had lit the campfire and it looked like there was some heated discussion going on
"Hi what's going on?" I asked
"You don't want to know" Eddie told me
"Kim" Jerry called me after I sat down "What would say is better" But he never finished as the food bag arrived
"FOOD" Jerry yelled
"Calm down Jerry" Eddie said
Milton got the bag and pulled out the note
"Well done on completing the camping challenge in one piece. You came in last on the first day earning 0 points but came in 3rd today meaning you earned 2 points. You might not think much of points yet but they will play a crucial part in later days. Enjoy tonight as tomorrow things might change in camp depending on how you do in tomorrow's challenge Knockout" Milton read out
"That doesn't sound good at all" Jerry says after a minute
"It better not be fighting. If it is I'm gone" Milton says with panic evident in his voice
"Me and Kim were talking about it earlier. It might be a challenge in which people might get kicked out of the competition in hence the knockout name" Eddie told the others while I sorted dinner out
"I think it will have something to do with boxing or fighting hence the name knockout" Milton says
"I doubt it as I don't think that there would be fighting allowed on the Island especially since some people doing karate or boxing back home so they have an unfair advantage" I say
"But swimmers have an advantage in swimming challenges" Milton argues with me
"Yes they do but they probably haven't swum in a river with currents or the sea again with currents" I argue back "Dinner is ready"
After we finished eating dinner and cleaning up we sat around he campfire talking about like
"Would you say Jack helped you at all over the last 2 days?" Jerry asked while we were talking about the last challenge
"I would since Eddie said the wood we could use for firewood had been placed in a pile not that far from our camp and the meal we had last night was sorted out with nice flavourings in it and this morning everything was packed and breakfast was pretty much sorted for us" I told them
"What about you?" Eddie asked
"You know that star which moved overnight" Milton asked us and me and Eddie nodded as that star meant that we unlocked all the pieces "Well it moved by itself. At first we thought it was you but then on the map we say that both of you was in camp so we then assumed that it was Jack. Only logical reason"
"I want to know when Jack is going to return. I miss having him around and no offence to Kim but his cooking skills are greatly missed" Eddie says
"I know it's mean but I'm getting used to Jack not being around now" Milton said
"It has been 3 days" I mutter as I know it's 3 days with my feelings being completely confused
"When Jack does return he will slot back into our way of life. You just know he will you can see him being that type of guy" Eddie says.
"Well I'm going to bed now. Doing 2 days of walking does make you tired" I say before going up to my room. It wasn't long before I heard the others come up into the tree house and go into their own rooms. For all we know that could have been our last night together before tomorrow comes and changes it.

TheJeweledNotes: Hopefully I'm back. I think winter is cold anywhere you go. It can snow here (sometimes) but my school is mean and kept us in last year even when my bus was over an hour late and everyone was always asking about going home
