Here is the winner of my story voting, I may upload the others eventually but this is all for now.

It was a quiet day in Peaceville... that was a total lie; Peaceville is never actually peaceful or quiet. Especially at the Riffin household where 3 preteens, Laney, Kin and Kon, were laying on the couch and watching the TV.

"And in other news, local Elementary High will host its annual school play!" Chance Happening spoke on-screen. "The school will perform the play of Sleeping Beauty this Saturday. Now here's Buzz with the weather." it cut to show her fellow newscaster in the middle of a typhoon. "IT'S RAINING ALOT!" he yelled.

Laney pressed a button on the remote as she turned off the TV "Eesh, who would wanna do a school play?" right on cue, Corey burst into the garage with an announcement "Big news guys! Grojband is going to be in the school play!" Laney looked at him skeptically, already dreading this next crazy plan "Why are we going to be in the play?"

The guitarist turned to his bandmates as his imagination seemed to play out behind him "Picture this, we get the main roles in the play, turn it into a super wicked Rock n Roll fest, and the audience loves us! Pretty soon we'll be turning boring plays into awesome rock shows all over town!"

His friends were less than convinced. "Um Corey, I don't know how to tell you this, but that will never work." Kin pointed out, with Kon blurting out after "Yeah, it's not even a musical." Hearing this, Corey's eyes widened "It's not! But the movie had singing!" "That was the animated one, there's always singing in animated fairytales." Laney reminded him "The play is closer to the original book."

Corey looked down, disappointment clear in his expression "Aw, man! Someone should have told me that before I signed us all up!" "Wait! You already signed us up?!" Kin asked in disbelief. "Yeah... maybe I should have told you guys first." Corey sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck.

Laney smacked her hand against her forehead "Great, so does that mean we have to audition?" "We could just not go." Kon suggested.

"No way! Grojband never runs from a challenge!" Corey reminded them, standing tall and proud. "But this isn't a challenge." Kin reminded him, causing the guitarist to momentarily pause "Well... I already signed us up and besides, it could be fun. What could possibly happen?"

WICKED COOL TRANSITION

Grojband opened the doors to the school auditorium and walked inside. Looking around, there weren't many other students here to audition. "Great, with this few people we might actually get parts." Kin groaned "You could just offer to be a stagehand." Laney suggested. Kin stopped to consider it "That could work."

"Ugh, Don't tell you guys are auditioning." A familiar voice came from behind the band. They turned to see Corey's older sister Trina and her best friend/lackey Mina. "Trina? What are you doing here?" Corey asked his sister. "Duh, I'm like auditioning for the lead role!" Trina told her brother "But you hate school plays!" Corey pointed out, "Not when Hunky Nick Mallory is auditioning." Trina pointed to another section of the room. Sure enough, Nick was flipping through the script with some of the other teens.

Trina turned a hostile glare towards her brother "So don't mess this up for me, or you won't live to regret it!" Trina walked off with Mina in tow, leaving the band to talk amongst themselves "Great, now your sister's here! This couldn't possibly get any worse!" Laney complained. "Well, if it isn't Grojband." another new voice spoke, "It just got worse."

Walking into the auditorium were the band's arch rivals, The Newmans, Carrie Beff, Larry Nepp, Kim Kagami and Konnie Kagami. "Hello Newmans." Corey sourly greeted them. "Come to cheer us on?"

Carrie scoffed, "Dream on. We are going to be the stars of this show. Like we always are!" The frontman didn't seem worried "Yeah, well, what makes you so sure of that?" "Because we are better than you!" Carrie snapped back. Laney got in between the two guitarists "Save it for later. If we fight in school, then we will all get detention."

"Fine, We'll settle this in the auditions. The one who gets the best part is the winner." Carrie declared as she and her band walked past towards the pile of scripts. Fueled by spite, Corey raced off to grab one before his mortal enemy did. Laney was seconds away from joining him when she overheard Kin and Kon talking, "Hey Kin, Corey is auditioning for the prince right?" Kin nodded "Yeah, why?" "Well won't he have to kiss whoever plays Sleeping Beauty?" at the word 'kiss', Laney perked up and thought to herself 'This is my chance! If I land the role of Sleeping Beauty, then I can kiss Corey!'

Kon waved a hand in front of Laney's love struck face "Hello? Laney? Are you ok?" Snapping out of her daydream, Laney rushed off more determined than ever "I gotta get that role!"

LETS JUST SKIP AUDITIONS

A few hours later, all the young teens stood on stage as the casting director looked over his papers. He lifted his head up and looked over his selection. "Well, the roles have been cast." Everyone looked at him with anticipation. "The lead role of Sleeping Beauty goes to... Laney Penn!" Laney's face erupted into a huge smile and her fist pumped in the air. "The role of the Prince goes to... Corey Riffin." Corey stuck out his tongue towards Carrie, who silently fumed, not seeing Laney's smile only got bigger and her eyes turned into hearts 'Yes! Yes! Yes!' she thought to herself.

"Maleficent will be played by Trina Riffin." "What?!" Trina yelled "How could me and Nick Mallory not get the lead roles?! And why am I the villain?" she demanded. Nick Mallory turned to her "Nick Mallory thinks you will play a great villain." Trina's demeanor changed in an instant "Maleficent it is then!" backstage, Mina whispered to herself "I'm not sure if Nick was complimenting her or insulting her."

"The roles of the 3 good fairies go to Carrie Beff, Kim Kagami and Konnie Kagami." The Kagami twins high fived but Carrie still wasn't too happy. "Nick Mallory will play the king and the queen shall be played by... Larry Nepp." Larry gaped in disbelief and shouted, "What the heck!? I'm a boy!? Why am I the queen?!" The director pointed to him, "Because you make a very pretty girl. Sorry, but I can't change roles now. See you all at rehearsals tomorrow." And with that, the director left. Larry stood there with his jaw dropped as some others tried to hold back their laughter.

Kon sighed, "Aw, man! I didn't get a part! What did I do wrong?" Kin looked at his brother and raised an eyebrow. "Maybe it has something to do with the fact that you hit the director in the face with a cartwheel during your audition."

Carrie pouted "Look at the bright side Carrie-" Konnie placed a hand on her shoulder "If you had gotten the part then you would have had to kiss Corey." Carrie looked at her with realization, a newfound wave of relief washed over her, "Wow, you are so right! That was a close call!"

Overhearing the Newman girls, Corey had a realization of his own. He was playing the prince, Laney was playing Sleeping Beauty. They were going to kiss. His face turned a deep crimson, and he stood motionless. Kon walked over and poked him "Hey dude, are you ok?" Corey didn't move or change his expression "I have to kiss Laney..." his voice trailed off. Kon realized what was going on "Wow, this is going to be awkward."
