Final chap! Man this has been one of my fav stories to write, originally I had no idea how I was going to write some parts, I literally didn't even come up with Hex's name till the chap it was revealed in, but I just kept getting hit with inspiration. So enjoy!

The audience applauded as the curtains fell and the cast took a bow. After saving Laney, the group performed the play. It went off almost perfectly, and Corey and Laney did their kiss scene with no problem. It was hard to realize that just an hour earlier, they had been fighting against an evil demon trying to kill them.

Grojband met up backstage as they switched out of their costumes. The Kujira twins went over to Corey and Kon gave him a playful punch in the shoulder "Dude you did it! You saved Laney and kissed her... twice." The bluenette blushed bashfully. "~Yeah~" he sighed lovingly as he remembered the kiss.

Laney grinned happily at Corey's reaction. After all this time, he finally returned her feelings. She remembered only feeling darkness around her after she pricked her finger, then felt a warm light on her and she somehow knew it was Corey and she could feel his kiss and hear his words. Waking up to his face and a confession of his love, it made Laney the happiest girl in Peaceville. Funny enough, her wish came true. All that pain from earlier was gone now.

The Newmans came over and joined their rivals "We did it! We saved the world!" Konnie cheered, "Um, I don't think the entire world was in danger." Kim pointed out, "Yeah, but it sounds cooler than saying we saved the school." The others agreed Konnie made a good point.

Carrie walked over to Corey and looked him straight in the eye "This isn't over, Riffin. Tomorrow we go back to being mortal enemies." "Wouldn't have it any other way." Corey replied.

From a distance, a certain pink haired girl was watching the group. Mina came up behind her unnoticed "Aw, you're happy for him aren't you?" Trina turned away and scoffed, "Like as if! I'm just... the only one allowed to hurt them." Trina defended herself. Mina wasn't fooled. She knew Trina well enough to see that she was happy for her little brother. Mina said nothing though. She knew Trina would break her kneecaps if she did.

A familiar face walked past the two girls and stopped in front of them "So, Corey Riffin stopped the evil demon. That's super cool." Nick said. "Yeah, I know! And I helped! I found out the cure!" Trina pointed to herself eagerly "Nick thanks you for that. Now it's time for Nick Mallory to go get some tacos." Nick walked away "Wait! Trina Riffin wants tacos too!" Trina ran after him "Wait! Don't leave Mina Beff behind!" Mina chased after them.

Back to the bands, the two sets of twins were discussing the battle "So Corey turned his guitar into a guitar and sword hybrid?!" Kin asked in disbelief. "Yeah! It was all glowey and made sounds when he slashed it!" Konnie excitedly described it. "Aw, I wanna see it!" Kon whined. Ignoring his brother, Kin addressed his counterpart "And he had blue lightning too? How the heck did he do that?" Even for a genius like Kin, this seemed impossible for any normal being to do. Then again, they dealt with Trina on a regular basis.

"Who knows, maybe we'll find out one day." Kim accepted that she also couldn't solve this mystery. They just had to wait and see what happens until that power rears its head again.

A few feet away, Larry scooted closer to Carrie "So, the bad guy is dead and the guitarist and bassist of Grojband got together, is this giving you any ideas Care?" He asked cooly, then puckered his lips in front of her. Carrie blinked in confusion "Did you have sour candy or something?" She asked. Larry then literally shattered into a bunch of pieces.

Corey looked on at the twins and the Newmans who were currently taping Larry back together, he then set his sights on Laney who was right beside him. He felt her gently take his hand as she looked up at him "You wanna go somewhere else, just the two of us?" "You read my mind, Lanes."

The couple snuck out of the room and walked through the halls until they got to the stairs. They went up to the roof of the building and took a seat on the floor of it. It was a clear night out. Stars shone all over the night sky like fireflies. Corey tightened his grip on Laney's hand "Lanes..." Corey's soft voice broke the silent night air. The bassist gave her full attention to him as emerald green eyes met sapphire blue eyes.

"Lanes I-I almost lost you, and-and I don't know how I could live without you. You keep me on the ground when my head's rocking up in the stars. You always believe in me, even when my ideas are dumb and dangerous. You're… you're the roll to my rock…" Laney felt her eyes water, as she leaned in closer to him "Core…"

"I guess what I'm trying to say is… Laney Penn, will you-will you go out with me?" Corey smiled at her hopefully. Laney was near speechless. Her heart was screaming 'FINALLY!' from inside her chest. On the outside, Laney grinned ecstatically "Yeah! Of course!" she glomped onto her new boyfriend and held him tightly in a warm embrace. Corey nuzzled in closer, an absolute love-struck gaze in his eyes "You know Lanes, I've learned something today."

A spotlight shone down on the couple as Corey began monologuing "It's not good to lie and hide about your feelings. When you do, an evil monster is unleashed and a guy you know becomes a beautiful princess. Someone you love will only end up getting hurt, and you gotta look deep into your own heart to pull out a sword to stab a dragon. So just trust what your heart tells you, because love will always lead the way."

The spotlight shut off and Laney stared with her jaw on the floor "Core! Those would have made great lyrics!" She pointed out, "Huh, maybe they would have." He petted her cheek "Maybe they would have. Thanks for coming out, everyone!" And Corey closes the garage door.
