Ciel: Chapter 3

Sorry for the delay, guys, life sorta got in the way with it being summer and all. I'll try to write a couple of chapters today. Well, on to the story!

Jack nervously goes over to Grell's desk. "Umm… M-Miss Sutcliff, you know your souvenir pillow from Paris?"

Grell replies tiredly, "yes."

Jack announces, "Luca just threw up on it!" He runs away

Grell gets up from her chair, thinking about chasing after his but stops herself and starts singing, "Little boys, little boys…Everywhere I turn I can see them." She looks around for a moment and sees Undertaker, Daniel, and Ronald playing cards then rolls her eyes, annoyed. "Little boys, little boys… night and day I eat, sleep, and breathe them. Some women are dripping with diamonds; some women are dripping with pearls! Lucky me! Lucky me! Look at what I'm dripping with: Little boys! Someday I'll step on their freckles. Some night I'll straighten their curls. Send the flood; send the flu- anything that you can do to little girls!"

Undertaker and Ronald start arguing over who won the card game. Undertaker shouts, "YOU CHEATED!" Ronald answers, "DID NOT!" Undertaker responds, "YOU DID TOO!" They continue to go back and forth like this as Daniel starts cheering on the fight and Alois, Jack, and Luca come in and join Daniel in cheering on the fight. Grell goes over to them and blows her whistle. "SHUT UP!" She, then, goes back to her desk and sits down, sighing.

Aberline comes in to the orphanage, dragging Ciel by the collar of his shirt. Ciel points out Grell's office door to Aberline then Aberline knocks on the door.

Grell says annoyed, "Yeah, come in." As Aberline comes it, Grell stands and smiles politely because she wants him to think that she is nice. "Good afternoon, Miss Sutcliffe, is it?" Grell replies, "Yes." "I'm Detective Aberline of the Scotland Yard. I found your run away." Aberline gently pushes Ciel towards Grell. "Oh thank you, officer!" "He was hiding over by the Thames with a bunch of bums"

Ciel mumbles, "They weren't bums"

Aberline ignores Ciel and continues, "He had mangy mutt with him too, but it got away."

Grell hugs Ciel. "Oh you poor thing! Out in the freezing cold with nothing more than that thin sweater?! I hope you didn't catch the flu! Thank you so much, officer!"

Aberline states, "All in the line of duty." Looks at Ciel. "And you. Don't let me ever hear that you ran away from this nice lady again." Looks at Grell again. "Good afternoon, ma'am." He leaves.

Smiling, Grell waves at Aberline as he leaves. "Good afternoon, Officer." She stops acting nice and looks at Ciel with a sneer. "The next time you walk out that door, it'll be 1953! Well, are you glad to be back?! Huh?! Are you?!"

Ciel replies reluctantly, feeling intimidated. "Y-Yes, Miss Sutcliffe."

Grell growls. "LIAR! What's the one thing I always tell you? NEVER tell a lie!" She shakes Ciel.

Hannah comes in carrying a briefcase. "Good afternoon, Miss Sutcliff?"

Grell replies, not knowing who she is. "yes?"

Hannah puts a hand out for Grell to shake. "I'm Hannah Annafelloz, private secretary to Sebastian Michaelis"

Grell shakes Hannah's hand with wide eyes. "Th-The Sebastian Michaelis? Th-The millionaire?!"

Hannah ignores Grell's questions. "Mr. Michaelis has decided to invite an orphan to spend the Christmas holidays at his mansion."

Hannah has piqued Grell's curiosity. "What sorta orphan did he have in mind?"

Hannah replies, "Well, he should be friendly" Ciel, who is hiding behind Grell, waves at Hannah, smiling. "And intelligent" Ciel smirks, "Mississippi, M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I." Grell glares at Ciel and pushes him back farther behind her. Hannah continues, "And cheerful" Ciel laughs. Grell stomps on Ciel's foot to shut him up. "And how old?" Hannah thinks for a moment then replies, "ohm age doesn't really matter. Oh, say, eight or nine" Ciel gestures upward for Hannah to say a higher number. "10?" Ciel gestures again. "11?" Ciel gestures for her to stop then points to his hair. "Yes, 11 would be perfect. And oh, I almost forgot: Mr. Michaelis prefers bluenette haired children."

Grell thinks for a moment. "11? Bluenette? Sorry, we don't have any orphans like that."

Hannah points to Ciel. "What about him?"

Grell rushes to get in-between Hannah and Ciel then pins Ciel behind her back. "Ciel? Oh, no! You don't want him!"

Hannah smiles gently at Ciel. "Ciel, would you like to spend the next two weeks at Mr. Michaelis' manor?" Ciel nods innocently.

Grell growls, "You can have any orphan here, but not Ciel!"

Hannah goes over to the phone and picks up the receiver, threatening to start dialing. "Perhaps I should call the Board of Orphans and…"

Grell laughs nervously, "I-If it's Ciel you want, it's Ciel you get!"

Hannah puts the receiver down and goes back over to Grell and Ciel. "It's Ciel I want."

Ciel smiles gleefully, "Oh boy!"

Hannah looks at Grell. "Now if you'd get his coat, I'll take him right now"

Grell replies with a sigh, "He doesn't have a coat."

Hannah sighs annoyed. "I guess I'll buy him one then. Come along, Ciel, Mr. Michaelis' limousine is outside" Ciel runs outside smiling.

Well that concludes chapter 3. I hope you enjoyed and please review!
