So to make up for my absence, have another one shot! I went to a concert last week and this idea just kinda sprung from it. It's short, but whatever. Enjoy :)

"Hey babe, do you want me to pick up subs from Mike's for dinner tonight?"

Santana dropped the towel she had been using to wipe off the counter as she felt arms wrap around her waist. She turned around to face Dani, reaching up to tuck a strand of blue hair behind her girlfriend's ear.

"Aren't we walking home together after work? I'll just come with you."

"Actually, Gunther's letting me off a few minutes early. I have to make a detour that will take some time, so I was gonna pick it up on the way home from that."

"What are you doing?" Santana asked, furrowing her eyebrows.

"Don't worry about it," Dani grinned mischievously.

"Oh come on, just tell me," the taller Latina pouted. She knew Dani could never resist her puppy dog eyes, and she used it to her advantage. Unfortunately Dani anticipated her move, quickly covering her eyes and turning around.

"Nope. It's not gonna work this time," she asserted, starting to walk into the back room of the diner.

Santana reached out quickly and grabbed Dani's hips, pulling her back into her body. She leaned her head forward so her mouth was right next to the blue-haired woman's ear.

"You know you want to tell me baby," she said lowly, pleased with herself as she felt Dani shiver.

"That's not fair..." Dani whined.

Santana spun her around and smirked at the red tint on her cheeks. She raised one hand to hold the right side of Dani's neck, the other staying put on her hip as she began laying a trail of soft kisses from just above the top of Dani's uniform, up along the left side of her neck, and to the sweet spot right behind her ear. Dani quickly reached up, holding Santana's head in place as she let out a small whimper, closing her eyes.

"Tell me," Santana whispered, sucking harder on her skin.

"I-I'm going-"

"Santana! Dani! Back to work!"

Dani's eyes snapped open as she pushed Santana's head away from her, embarrassed at having been caught by their boss. Santana, however, thought the whole thing was quite funny.

"You're so lucky Gunther's a pain in the ass," she laughed.

"And you're pure evil," Dani grumbled, attempting to escape Santana's hold.

"I'll get it out of you, you can count on that."

"Ladies! Now!"

Santana leaned forward one last time, giving Dani a small kiss.

"One way or another," she promised, winking at her flustered girlfriend before sauntering off.

Dani watched as she walked away swaying her hips, unable to tear her eyes away from Santana's backside.

"Oh, fuck me."

Santana sat on the couch in hers and Dani's apartment, feeling quite unhappy with herself. She hadn't managed to get anything out of Dani before she left. She tried to convince Gunther to let her leave early too, but he had yelled at her too many times for being distracted - with Dani, of course - to indulge in a rare moment of generosity. When she was finally done for the day, she called Dani for fifteen minutes to try and find her but received no answer. Eventually Santana gave up and went back to their apartment.

Dani had been gone for nearly three hours and Santana's imagination was running wild with what she could possibly be doing. She was so immersed in her thoughts she nearly missed hearing the door unlock.

"Sorry it took so long babe, the line at Mike's was insane," Dani called out.

"Where did you go before?" Santana responded grumpily, getting right to the point.

"Let me just get the food all set first. And I gotta get out of this shitty uniform."

Santana huffed and crossed her arms, hearing Dani's footsteps get closer. She walked through the room, passing Santana and heading into the kitchen. Santana's eyes widened, but before she could comment on what she thought she saw Dani came back in, passing through and making her way to their bedroom. When she was done changing she walked right into the kitchen again, but came back out and went over to Santana.

"Whoops, I almost forgot." Dani smiled as she leaned down and pressed a quick kiss to Santana's lips, then made her way back to the kitchen. "Do you want water or something else?" she asked.

Santana opened her mouth, but nothing came out. She was still trying to wrap her head around what she had seen.

"Eh you can get what you want," Dani laughed.

She walked back into the room holding two plates with sandwiches on them, handing one to Santana and sitting down on the couch next to her. Santana accepted the plate but continued to stare at Dani, not really understanding what she was seeing. Dani looked over her and furrowed her eyebrows, not sure what was going on in Santana's head.

"What?" she mumbled around a mouthful of food.

Santana put her plate down on the coffee table, then turned her attention back to Dani. She reached over and picked up some of Dani's hair, still staring. Finally she got her brain to cooperate with her.

"Pink," she said blatantly.

"Oh yeah!" Dani giggled, putting her own plate down. "That's where I went. To get my hurr did," she laughed. She watched Santana play with her newly dyed hair. "Do you like it?" she asked, biting her lip.

Santana nodded dumbly, unable to stop looking at Dani's hair and running her fingers through it.

"Santana, can you use your words please?"

The brunette quickly shook her head, snapping out of her trance and getting herself back together.

"Why pink?"

"Why not pink?" Dani shrugged. "I got bored of the blue."

"Just as I was getting used to the blue," Santana teased.

"If you want, I'm sure I can go back to blue soon."

"No!" Santana said quickly. "I think I like the pink more than the blue."

"Then the pink stays," Dani decided, going back to her food.

Santana had been so focused on Dani's hair that she didn't get a chance to look at the rest of her. She had changed into an oversized sweater that said "GEEK" and some comfy sweatpants. Santana started laughing, causing Dani to look over at her.

"What's so funny?"

"Dan, your sweater and your hair," Santana giggled.

"I'm not following," Dani furrowed her eyebrows, looking down at her sweater.

"I know you know the song I'm thinking of."

"I don't...oh! Oh my god," Dani buried her face in her hands as she laughed.

"Yes! You have a gig Sunday night, right?" Dani nodded. "You have to sing it!"

"Santana no! I'm not singing that song!"

"Come on, it'll be great!" Dani shook her head. "Baby, please sing the song. For me?"

"...I really don't like you sometimes."

"Liar. You love me," Santana smirked.

"Lord knows why," Dani rolled her eyes, biting back a grin.

"It's my charming personality, duh." Santana playfully flipped her hair, then leaned over and kissed Dani.

"Clearly," the now pink haired woman laughed as she pulled away.

They both went back to eating, sitting in comfortable silence together. Santana still couldn't manage to look away from Dani and her new hair. It was...oddly hot.

She finished her food quickly, only one thing on her mind.

"Hurry up and finish your sandwich D," she said as she walked into the kitchen, putting her plate in the sink.

"Why?" Dani asked.

Santana simply walked past her towards their bedroom. She paused in the doorway, smirking.

"So I can show you how much I love you. And your sexy new hair." She didn't even wait for Dani to respond as she turned around and walked into the bedroom.

Dani's eyes widened as the words left Santana's mouth, only taking a second to comprehend them before hastily putting the plate on the coffee table and rushing after her.

What sandwich?

Sunday rolled around and Dani was performing at a local bar. Santana sat in the back like she always did, watching her girlfriend do her thing.

"Alright, I have one more song before I go." Dani rolled up the sleeves of her sweater and played with the mic stand. "Normally I'd end with one of my own songs, but this time I'm going to switch it up."

Santana grinned, excited for what was about to happen.

"I didn't even want to do this song, but thanks to my unfairly persuasive girlfriend I'm going to."

"Love you babe!" Santana hollered, chuckling at the laughs echoing around the bar.

"Yeah yeah, love you too," Dani mumbled, hiding a grin. "Well I'm gonna sing now, so I hope you enjoy this." She nodded at the band, eager to get this over with.

Santana smiled as the song started, loving that Dani was wearing the GEEK sweater. It made everything that was about to happen so much better.

Dani's cue came, and she began to sing.

Well let the geek in the pink take a stab at it
If you like the way I'm thinkin baby wink at it
I may be skinny at times but I'm fat fulla rhymes
Pass me the mic and imma grab at it

She would never admit it to Santana, but she really did love this song.

Well isn't it delicious crazy way that I'm kissin this
Baby listen to this, don't wanna miss it while it's hittin
Sometimes you gotta fit in to get in but
Don't ever quit cause soon I'm gonna let you in but see

Dani took the mic out of the mic stand, getting into the song. Santana watched in awe, smiling from ear to ear.

I don't care what you might think about me
You'll get by without me if you want
I could be the one to take you home
Baby we could rock the night alone
If we never get down it wouldn't be a let down
But sugar don't forget what you already know
That I could be the one to turn you out
We could be the talk across the town
Don't judge it by the color, confuse it for another
You might regret what you let slip away
Like the geek in the pink

Dani twirled her hair around her finger, beginning to enjoy herself.

Like the geek in the pink yeah
The geek in the pink

Well this relationship fodder don't mean to bother nobody
But Cupid's automatic musta fired multiple shots at her

She made a split second decision and started walking off the stage to the floor, making her way towards Santana.

Because she fall in love too often that's what's the matter
At least I talk about it keep my pattern of flattery and
She was starin through the doorframe
Eyein me down like already a bad girlfriend

Stopping in front of Santana, Dani sang directly to her. Santana quirked an eyebrow in a silent challenge, knowing the lines that came next.

Well she can get her toys outta the drawer then
Cause I ain't comin home I don't need that attention see

Dani shot her a wink before putting her hand up and turning around to walk back to the stage with more sass than Santana had ever seen.

I don't care what she might think about me
She'll get by without me if she wants
I could be the one to take her home
Baby we could rock the night alone
If we never get down it wouldn't be a let down
But sugar don't forget what you already know

She walked back up onto the stage, completely in the zone.

That I could be the one to turn you out
We could be the talk across the town
Don't judge it by the color, confuse it for another
You might regret what you let slip away

Dani stood directly center stage and looked right at Santana.

Hey baby look at me go
From zero to hero
You better take it from a geek like me
Well I can save you from unoriginal dum-dums
Who wouldn't care if you com...plete them or not

She shot Santana a cheeky smile as she continued.

So what I got a short attention span a coke in my hand
Because I'd rather have the afternoon, relax and understand
My hip hop and flip flops it don't stop with the light rock
A shot to mock you kinda puts me in a tight spot
The hype is nothin more than hoo-ha so
I'm developin a language and I'm callin it my own
So take a peek into the speaker and you'll see what I mean
That on the other side the grass is greener

Getting the audience to clap along, Dani put the mic back in the mic stand and finished out the song with a huge grin on her face.

Well I'm the geek in the pink yo
Geek is the color for fall
I'm the geek in the pink
So I'm the geek yo
In the pink yo
Geek is the color for fall
I'm the geek in the pink

Dani finished the song to loud cheers and laughter, the loudest coming from Santana. She climbed off the stage and made her way back to the taller Latina, trying to keep the grin off her face.

"Happy now?"

Santana grabbed both sides of Dani's head and peppered her face with kisses.

"Very," she grinned. Dani sighed and rolled her eyes, wrapping her arms around Santana's waist and snuggling into her. "I think we have to make that a new rule. Every time you change your hair color I get to pick a song for you to sing. In public," she added.

Dani pulled back and looked up at Santana with her own puppy dog eyes, pouting.

"Please don't make me do that," she pleaded.

"Hmmm...I think I will," Santana laughed. Dani huffed and dropped her head on Santana's shoulder, silently giving in. "Babe you killed that song. It was amazing. But I won't make you do it again if you don't want me to."

"I guess we can do that. As long as it's not something totally stupid," Dani said firmly.

"So if you ever go back to blue you won't sing that one song by Eiffel 65? You know: 'I'm blue, da ba dee da ba di'?"

"Hell no!"

"You're no fun. Think of all the people you would entertain! It's for the greater good!" Santana exclaimed dramatically.

"The greater good?" Dani moved to look Santana directly in the eyes. "I am your girlfriend! I'm the greatest good you're ever gonna get!" She couldn't stop herself from laughing as she finished.

"You are seriously the biggest fucking dork in the world Dani," Santana chuckled, bringing Dani back into her.

"Yeah but you love me," Dani smiled. Santana nodded, kissing the top of her head.

"I love my geek in the pink."

I don't…I'm not really sure what happened with the ending, but I'm gonna leave it like that

If you can pick out the movie reference in here, i'll…i dunno, write whatever you want me to. I don't have much to offer :P

Song is Geek in the Pink by Jason Mraz

Stay golden lovelies :)
