AN:/ Let me just say, my writing has improved and this story is truly cringe worthy, so I will make these chapters much better. In this chapter Cherry will be just turning 15. She is going through the rebellious phase and resents her fathers like most teenagers. Dan and Phil have begun to foster a six year old boy. This will probably contain a journal entry or texting conversation at some point, just to make it more teenager like. I'm sorry I've been absent for so long, but life got crazy and then I just plain forgot about this wonderful creation of mine.
**Cherry's P.O.V**
"Love, have you finished your homework? You shouldn't be playing video games if it isn't. Your history marks are low enough as is. Shut the game off please." Dan said, poking his head through the door frame.
"Knocking would be fabulous. Oh wait that is a concept unknown to every individual in this house except me." I growled under my breath, I ignored Dan and continued my game of Minecraft.
"Cherry, I mean it. Shut the game off and do your homework," Dan sighed, the irritation leaking through his voice. "I don't want to have to take your laptop away, can you just do as I have asked please?" I rolled my eyes while pausing and saving the game.
I got out my school stuff and climbed into bed. I worked for a little while before becoming bored and going back to my game of Minecraft.
"Cherry, dinner is here! Come down and eat!" Phil yelled up the stairs. "Please bring your cup from your room."
I sighed and trudged downstairs. I filled my cup with juice and sat at the table, opening the box of Chinese take-away in front of me. I ate quickly, ignoring most of the conversation. My dads questioned Liam about his day at school and all the friends he was meeting and eventually moving along with his adoption.
"Cherry, did you have a good day at school?" Phil asked, he always tried to involve me in conversation, not quite getting the hint that I did not wish to be spoken to.
"It was absolutely peachy. Can I be excused?" I asked, forcing as much dislike and attitude into my voice as I could possibly muster.
"Absolutely not!" Dan scoffed, almost looking offended. "Love, you've hardly eaten and a growing girl needs her strength."
"So, I'll take the food with me. I've done my homework, I've associated with the little twerp you are trying to adopt, and I even practiced piano today." I muttered, my eyes narrowed at Dan.
"I said no. And no means no. Finish your dinner. After dinner, you can bring me your laptop and iPod because you are grounded for the evening." Dan said, an edge of sternness in his voice.
"That isn't fair! I have done nothing wrong and you are treating me unfairly." I honestly tried to keep the whining tone out of my voice, but obviously I failed.
"If you keep up with the attitude, you will be grounded for the weekend, not just this evening." Phil piped up, attempting to assist his husband. I sighed softly and rolled my eyes. I ate the majority of the Chinese takeaway before looking up at my dads.
"Can I be excused now? I'm full now." I said, with only a hint of attitude.
"Yes, I suppose. Laptop and iPod, please. You can have them back in the morning." Dan said with a sad smile.
I trudged upstairs and unhooked my laptop and took it and my iPod downstairs. I wordlessly set them down on the table and stomped up the stairs to my room. I climbed into bed, resolving to pout and just go to bed when my phone buzzed.
I grinned at my phone and then pouted slightly before replying that I was grounded. My phone buzzed every few minutes and I grinned like an idiot every time.
Damon and I talked while I finished up my history homework and eventually I fell asleep, feeling badly when I woke up for leaving him. When I climbed out of bed, I slumped downstairs half asleep. I kissed Liam on the forehead and muttered an apology for the night before and hugged both my dads. They exchanged shocked glances before turning to me.
"What has brightened your mood so much since last night?" Dan inquired, a smile on his face.
"Well, You didn't take my phone last night and I had a lovely conversation with my friend, Damon. What's for breakfast dad?" I asked him sitting in my seat.
"I was thinking we could go out for breakfast, you could invite your friend Damon along if you'd like." Dan said, the excitement at meeting a friend I'd met in high school evident in his voice.
"Oh cool! I'll text him! Thanks, daddy!" I kissed Dan's cheek, then Phil's and rushed upstairs to text him, only to hear Liam whining.
"Why can't I bring a friend too!" His little voice cried out.
"You can invite the boy down the street if you'd like, but sweetie it's very short notice and very early. His parents might not like that." Phil explained.
I tuned them out and waited for Damon to reply. I squealed excitedly when he said he would be over in 15 minutes. I ran downstairs and hugged my dads before rushing upstairs to get dressed. I straightened my hair and did my make up.
"Dad!" I wailed down the stairs from my room. "I need fashion advice!" I whined, hearing Dan and Phil chuckle as he walked up the stairs.
He examined the options I had laid out and thought for a moment. "Wear the blue jumper with those leggings you like and your black Converse. You don't want to look like you're trying too hard sweetie." Phil said kissing my head.
I put on the outfit that he suggested, and I walked down stairs just as Damon knocked on the door. When Dan opened the door I smiled wide and blushed slightly, stepping into the front hall.
