-Chapter 6-

The Power of Love

Stitch was the first to wake in the morning. The first thing he saw, as his eyes flickered open, was Lilo's face, illuminated by the morning sun. The rays reflected off her beautiful, flowing, raven-black hair. He sighed happily and smiled broadly. Lilo's eyes flickered open at this. She yawned and looked to Stitch.

"Hey Stitch." She said, tiredly. She smiled at him.

"Ahua Shalom Bye, Boojiboo."

"I don't know what you said," said Lilo, yawning for a second time, "but you said it!"

They both sat up, chuckling at Lilo's joke.

"Yuuga have a good night's sleep?" asked Stitch, lovingly.

"Yeah, I had a dream about werewolves, how about you?"

"I dreamt about zombies... they were scary!"

Lilo laughed.

"Don't worry; it was only a dream," She explained thoughtfully, scratching behind his ears. They both lent towards each other and shared a passion-filled kiss. As both tongues searched the others mouth curiously, they rolled over in bed; the bed-sheets falling off them. Stitch only broke the kiss periodically to lick Lilo's face lovingly, to which she giggled as the texture of his tongue as it tickled her skin.

They were so lost in their heart-felt embrace that they didn't hear the elevator humming as it lifted Ohanni to their room. As she reached the top of the elevator shaft she the couple kissing. Surprised and confused, she quickly covered her eyes with her ears and held them in place with her paws. She let out a little *squeak* as she did so. Lilo and Stitch heard this and panicked; falling out of bed. They were both a little embarrassed.

"Hi, Ohanni." Said Lilo, a little flustered.

"Hello." Said Ohanni, still covering her eyes.

"Ohanni, you can look now: we've stopped." Lilo said, chuckling.

Ohanni uncovered her eyes and looked up at them both.

"So, what's up?" Asked Lilo.

"The one who looks like a noodle told meega to come and tell you that breakfast is nearly ready," said Ohanni, shyly, "and I also wanted to thank you for letting meega stay in the big bed last night, and also standing up for me like you did."

"Aw, it's no problem Ohanni, right Stitch?" Asked Lilo looking to him.

"Ih, ih; noooo problem!" He exclaimed, smiling.

"Oketaka, thank you," she said, turning to leave. Then, she paused and looked back at them, "Are you two... um... together?" She asked innocently.

Lilo and Stitch smiled at each other before Stitch replied kindly: "Ih! Why?"

"Meega just wondering," she paused, "Yuuga look cute together."

With that, she descended down the elevator shaft.

Both Stitch and Lilo let out a small sigh of relief. Even though the conversation was completely innocent in nature, it still held a considerable amount of tension. Lilo looked at Stitch.

"I guess people won't get used to...well... 'us' for a while then."

"We just need to give them time, cousin seems oketaka with us."

"Yeah, I guess."

"Remember, we still have Pleakley to tell, if Jumba hasn't already told him."

"Oh no; that's going to be fun!" She exclaimed sarcastically. They both laughed and went to get ready for the day ahead.

Angel and Sparkey were having a relatively uneventful morning, simply cuddling on the sofa and watching day-time television, until they heard the familiar sound of the creaking 'Shortcut bridge': Lilo and Stitch were coming to visit.

All of the experiments who's 'one true place' can't act as a living space, now lived on a new island just off the coastline of Kauai, parallel to the same cliff-side that is home to Sparky's lighthouse. But the island is just enough out of the way so as to not deem the lighthouse: useless. The island was built by Yin and Yang and the houses were built courtesy of the CIA thanks to Cobra Bubbles.

The island was officially connected to Kauai by a small concrete bridge built with a road. But, Lilo, Stitch and Sparky built a bridge out of ropes and wooden planks that acted as a shortcut that led directly into Sparky's back garden. Angel moved in with Sparky a few weeks before Lilo's birthday and the bridge was used regularly for visits.

Stitch knocked four times on the back door, which was immediately opened by Sparky.

"Aloha guyz," greeted Sparky, in his electrified voice.

"Hey Sparky!" They replied in unison.

"Come in." He said happily, and they followed him into the house; Stitch closing the door carefully behind him.

They all walked into the living room where Angel was sitting, Sparky joined her and Lilo and Stitch sat together on the couch opposite them.

"So how was your day yesterday, Lilo?" Asked Angel, hoping to hear some of the juicy details of the night previous. Angel and Lilo had formed a close friendship after the Leroy battle. And they greatly enjoyed each others company.

"It was great, Jumba has given us a new cousin!" Said Lilo, "I called her 'Ohanni'."

"Wow!" Said Angel and Sparky together, in awe.

"I can't wait to meet her," said Angel, excitedly, "Where is she now?"

"She's going on a tour of the island with Jinx, I thought they might get along being the two newest members of our Ohana." Explained Lilo.

"How izz Jinx doing?" Asked Sparky.

"She's oketaka; she looked like the thought of having a new friend was butifa." Said Stitch, his arm around Lilo.

They sat their in silence for a little over a minute before Angel broke the silence.

"Soooooooo... how was yuuga's night?" Asked Angel, as innocently as she could.

"I don't know what you mean, Angel." Lilo lied, playing along.

"Weeeeell; did yuugas kiss?" Asked Angel, giggling slightly as she did.

"Well... mayb-"

"Ih, ih; weega did!" Exclaimed Stitch, laughing.

Sparky and Angel burst out laughing, rolling around on the sofa.

"Stitch!" Cried Lilo, punching him playfully in the arm.

Lilo had a few things on her mind, after the laughter had subsided, she spoke up.

"So, I'm a little confused," she started.

"What about," said Angel, still a bit out of breath after the laughing.

The group saw the sad look on Lilo's face and realised that this was more serious than they had first thought.

"It's just that last night..." She looked at Stitch, "When Pleakley called Ohanni a monster." Stitch nodded, remembering.

"I got angry, but it didn't feel right, like it wasn't my anger." She tried to make sense of what had happened.

"Wait, something like that happened to meega," said Stitch, "It was like meega wanted to be angry at Pleakley for what he said about cousin, but something calmed meega down."

Angel and Sparky now had suspicions on what was happening, but they needed one more fact to be sure.

"Did eithzzer of yuuga havve any weird dreamzz lazt night?" Asked Sparky.

"Yeah!"

"Ih!"

"I had a dream about you Stitch," said Lilo, turning to him. "I had a dream that you... died.. and then you came back as a monster; you kinda looked like a werewolf. Then you attacked me."

"That's weird... meega dreamt that yuuga die, then yuuga wake up as a zombie and bit meega."

Angel and Sparky made a mental note to tell Jumba what was happening.

"I'm sure it's nothing to worry about." Said Angel, trying to change the subject. "So, is there anything else on yuuga's minds?"

"Yeah, actually." Replied Lilo, "Can I talk to you in the kitchen Angel?"

She nodded and they both walked to the kitchen together. Stitch and Sparky shrugged at each other and watched the two girls leave the living room.

Lilo turn to Angel once they were in the kitchen.

"Angel... I-"

"Lilo I'm so happy for you!" said Angel, happily.

"Thanks Angel, but, I can't help but feel a little sad about you and Stitch..." She said slowly.

"You naga worry about that! Lilo..." Angel sighed as she prepared herself. "I'm let Stitch go. I knew that the love wasn't there anymore, and I started wondering if it ever was there. So I ended it, before the love was gone completely: past or present. I also knew that he loved you, and I've seen the ways you've looked at him lately. I knew it was the right thing to do." She finished, giving another sigh.

"Oh Angel, I don't know whether to give you a 'thank you', or an apology." Said Lilo, tears forming in her eyes.

"Lilo; I'm very happy for both yuuga and Stitch!" Stated Angel, smiling, "And besides, I have Sparky now, and I love him; and I think he loves me too."

"You two are perfect for each other!" Said Lilo, reassuringly.

They both fell into a hug, whispering 'thank you"s into each others ears. They broke the hug and wiped the tears away from their faces, not wanting their other halves seeing that they had cried; and not wanting them to worry. Holding hands they walked back into the living room.

What they found was Sparky and Stitch play-fighting on the rug. It looked as though Stitch was winning. The girls simply laughed and the two boys stopped when they noticed their partners had entered the room. They stood up and shared a high-five.

"I'll get yuuga nexzzt time." Said Sparky.

"We'll see." Said Stitch, back at Sparky.

They both laughed at each others weak insults.

"Come on, Stitch; It's about time we were leaving. Ohanni should be getting back soon and Jumba said he'd explain how her powers work." Explained Lilo, excitedly.

"Oketaka, boojiboo!" Said Stitch, just as exited.

"Are you guys gunna drop by?" Asked Lilo, looking to the couple.

"Weega would love to but we're a bit busy today, but you're welcome to come tomorrow and tell us about it, Ohanni's welcome too." Said Angel.

They all walked to the back door, saying their goodbyes. The moment the door closed: Angel spun round; looking Sparky dead in the eyes.

"We have to warn Jumba, and fast!"
