Zelda: *Is glaring at Mario*

Mario: What?

Zelda: We have to get through the story...do you think we could do it, today?

Pit: Don't worry, we'll update it, tomorrow.

Zelda: YOU'LL UPDATE IT, TODAY!

?: *Sigh* You humans never seem to learn your lesson, do you?

Mario and Zelda: ...?

Pit: Viridi? Is that you?

Viridi: Well? Someone has to help keep this story going...after all, aren't you still brainwashed?

Pit: An even bigger question is "Why are you in this story?"

Viridi: I'm not in the story, I'm in the Author's note.

Mario, Pit, and Zelda: ...

Viridi: Well, let's get started, I guess...

An arrow shot by Mario's face, which nearly missed him. Mario summoned a fireball, taking aim at the angel. The fireball nearly scorched Pit's wings. Pit took his bow apart, turning them into daggers.

"Let's see you try to escape this!" Pit yelled, trying to stab Mario with one of the daggers. The daggers managed to scratch Mario's arm as the plumber ran behind the angel, kicking him in the backside. "Aw, did that hurt?" Mario taunted.

enraged, Pit placed his bow back together, he began to shoot multiple arrows at Mario. "What's the matter too scared to face me!?"

Pit suddenly felt a sharp pain in the back of his head. He turned his head, seeing that Zelda has transformed into Sheik, who was holding some needles in her hand. Pit was pissed, now. He dashed towards the Sheikah, pulling his bow apart, one again. Sheik dodged, she looked over at Mario. "I need you to take Diddy and look for the others!"

"But why?" Mario grumbled.

"Just do it!" Sheik argued. Mario shrugged, he picked up the Diddy statue and decided to make a run for it. Now it was only Sheik vs. Pit.

"That monkey's not gonna do you any good, ya know!" Pit said smuggly as he tried stabbing Sheik, again. Sheik dodged the attacks with Ninja-like swiftness. "Whaddaya talking about!?"

"Hehe," Pit swept his leg below Sheik's, making the Sheikah trip. "You see, Kira placed a curse on him and two other Smashers, in case they get revived. She can't revive them, herself, though."

"That's because she's not a Smasher...isn't that obvious?" She grumbled.

"Well, if you guys revived them, they'll be weaker than they normally are. Only Kira can get rid of this curse. But good luck doing that!"

Sheik picked herself up, she grabbed Pit by the robe and pulled out her dagger, holding the angel against a tree. "All right, so tell me...do you know how to get rid of this curse?"

Pit stared at Sheik with wide eyes, the angel began to breathe heavily. "L-listen, I honestly don't know how she does it."

"All right...then. Have you seen any other Smashers, around here? If so, how do you revive them?"

"Well, uh..." Pit looked around nervously. Sheik threatened to place the dagger deeper into Pit's throat. "ALL RIGHT, I'LL TALK! JUST LET ME GO, PLEASE!"

"How do I know you're not lying?" Sheik said in a low growl. Pit's wings flapped, helplessly. "I'll give you my word, I won't run away."

"You promise?"

"YES! PLEASE LET ME GO!"

Sheik thought for a moment, she backed away from Pit, who rubbed his throat. "Gees, I don't get how Ganondorf deals with you guys."

"So, are you gonna tell me anything?" Sheik asked. Pit nodded. "I actually saw Kirby and DK, earlier. I dunno why, but it looked like they told the other Smashers that he wanted to go off on their own. He gave me a really harsh glare, though he didn't say anything else."

"All right, so we've got one other Smasher we could revive." Sheik said, happily. "Now, could you tell us how to return everyone to normal?"

"Sorry, lady...looks like you're on your own!" Pit said, smiling mischievously as he ran from Sheik.

"Wha-HEY!" Sheik yelled. Moments, later, Nidoqueen's roar could be heard in the distance, along with Pit's screaming. Sheik stood there for a few seconds. She couldn't help but shake her head. I guess that's Karma telling Pit not to run off on me, like that.

Looking around, Sheik had nothing else to do, now. She began to make her way through the forest, looking for Mario, and possibly Diddy.

Mario continued to run, getting as far away from Sheik and Pit as possible. He continued carrying the Diddy statue with him. Maybe Fox and Sonic were out of the forest? or maybe they're stuck, somewhere? Either way, the Plumber wasn't sure.

As soon as Mario thought the coast was clear, he placed the Diddy statue down. Mario began to think for a moment. Was Sheik all right? Did she manage to save Pit?

His thoughts turned to the Diddy statue. There might be a good chance that he might be brainwashed, Mario thought to himself, If that's the case, then I'll have no choice but to fight him. But if he isn't brainwashed, he could be a decent ally...Besides, he did have to save DK, at one point...

Without a second thought, Mario tapped the base on Diddy's trophy. The trophy emitted a faint light, Diddy was sitting there with a dreary expression before looking at Mario.

"What? Where am I?" Diddy asked as his senses came back to him. Mario looked down at the monkey. "You're in-"

"Owowow," Diddy suddenly held tightly onto his head. Mario began to look worried. "Are you ok?"

"My head hurts, what do you think?" Diddy snapped.

"Sorry I'm late," Sheik said as she came over to the two Smashers. Mario raised an eyebrow. "So...did you save Pit?"

Sheik shook her head. "The bad news is that he ran away from me, but the good news is that in addition to Luigi and Falco, we have a good chance of bumping into Donkey or Kirby."

"Really?" Mario crossed his arms, "But what if they're not here, anymore?"

"Either way, we'll have to find him, sooner or later," Sheik said, proudly. "But for now, we'll have to concentrate on looking for the others.

"Hold on, there's more of you guys?" Diddy asked. Sheik nodded. "We'll talk about that, later. But, for now, we'll have to keep going."

Sheik picked Diddy up off the ground while Mario began to follow behind her. They needed to know where their allies went. What happened to Fox and Sonic? Were they all right? Only time will tell.

In the depths of the Forest, Luigi and Falco seemed to be relaxing under a tree, Falco looked like he was eating another ice cream sandwich.

"Are you sure they're coming?" Luigi asked. Falco replied with a shrug. "Maybe they got lost and got eaten by a bear."

"But this is Mario we're talking about," Luigi said. "You know he wouldn't give up, that easily."

Falco nodded. "True...but I don't think his team can handle much, themselves."

"But we've got a princess who turns into a ninja, the fastest hedgehog in the world, and the leader of the Starfox Team!"

"Hey! anything Fox can do, I can do better!" Falco argued.

"Oh, really?" A familiar voice asked. The Plumber and the Avion turned their gaze to Fox and Sonic, coming into view. Fox had a smug expression on his face. "Even when you're brainwashed, you still like to be brash. But hey, at least something stayed the same."

"What took ya guys so long!?" Falco snapped. "We've been waiting for an hour and a half for you guys to show up!"

"Well, I may be used to foxes, but they're not as slow as this guy!" Sonic joked, pointing his thumb at Fox. The vulpine looked down at him, deadpan. "As soon as this is over, we're going to Final Destination!"

"No items?" Sonic asked.

"No items!" Fox replied.

"Well, enough talk, let's get goin'!" Falco said, unknowingly tossing his ice cream sandwich in Luigi's face.

Falco pulled out his blaster, he began to shoot lasers at Fox. The vulpine dodged the blasters, he ran quickly towards Falco, who reacted quickly by slashing against Fox, knocking him back. Fox pulled out his own blaster, attempting to shoot Falco. The avion used his reflector, knocking the lasers back at Fox.

"C'mon, Falco! You can beat him!" Luigi cheered, earning a glare from Sonic. He placed his hands on his hips. "Excuse me?"

"What? Someone has to beat Fox." Luigi said with a shrug.

"Well...who's gonna beat you, then?" Sonic asked, puzzled. Luigi backed away slowly before trying to run. However, Sonic ran in front of him, blocking his way. "Not this time, buddy!"

"Wha- You cheating rodent!" Luigi yelled. He ran to the left, Sonic would block his way. The plumber tried to run to the right, Sonic would still block his way. No matter where Luigi went, there was no way to escape.

"So...do you give up?" Sonic asked. Luigi trembled with rage, he pulled out his hammer, screaming as he ran towards the hedgehog. Sonic stood there for a few seconds until dashing to the side, making Luigi fall onto his face.

"Urgh..." Luigi looked slightly dazed, he picked himself up and shot himself like a missle to attack Sonic. Again, Sonic dashed to the side. He curled himself into a ball, attacking Luigi's back. This sent Luigi flying for a few seconds before he got knocked into a tree. The plumber slid downwards before turning into a trophy.

"Yeesh...I didn't mean to to go overboard there, Weegee," Sonic said, scratching the back of his head. He looked over at Fox and Falco, the two animals were still fighting. Both of them seemed to have been covered in bruises and were beginning to run out of breath.

"Give it up, Fox...you know Kira's gonna win!" Falco taunted. Fox shook his head. "Why? 'cause she has almost every single Smasher with her, right now?"

"Exactly, we have an army, and all you guys have is a quartet. How do you-" Out of nowhere, a blue blur tackled Falco to the ground. Fox looked down, the avion seemed to have been turned into a trophy.

"Thanks, Sonic," Fox said. Sonic shrugged. "Hey...if you guys kept talking, we would've ended up having a lot of unnecessary dialogue."

"I guess that's true," Fox said, chuckling nervously.

"Did we miss anything?"

Mario, Sheik, and Diddy have caught up to the Smashers. They began to look stunned as they looked at the trophies of Luigi and Falco.

"How did this happen?" Mario asked.

"What? Did you think that we were having a tea party or something?" Sonic asked. "We are Smashers, after all."

"True...but what are we gonna do with these guys?" Sheik asked. Suddenly, Diddy had an idea, he ran towards Falco's trophy.

Mario began to panic. "Diddy, wait-"

It was too late, Diddy touched the trophy base, reviving Falco. The avion groaned in pain as he rubbed his head. His vision was blurry. After looking through his surroundings, he noticed he was surrounded by Smashers. His attention suddenly turned to Diddy. "Oh hey, squirt. Where'd you come from?"

"Hold on a moment," Diddy said, rushing towards Luigi's trophy. Falco suddenly looked over at the other Smashers. He began to stand up. "Fox...what the hell is goin' on?"

"I dunno," Fox said with a shrug, "But it's great to have you back."

"MAAAARIOOOO!"

A green blur started knocking everyone down, until it started clinging onto Mario. It was Luigi, obviously. The green plumber couldn't help but cry as he practically squeezed his brother. "M-mario, I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!"

"Hey...It's all right, bro," Mario said, patting Luigi's back. "You don't need to apologize."

"I-I don't?" Luigi asked, staring at his twin. Mario shook his head. "No, you just couldn't help yourself."

Luigi was sobbing. He was sorry about dragging Mario into his mess, yet he was happy that he and his friends were all right. He was especially happy to know that Mario wasn't mad at him.

Sheik couldn't help but smile at what was going on. "Don't you just love this? Friends and family being reunited, once again?"

"Hey...your Zelda's showin'," Sonic commented.

"So?" Shaik asked, crossing her arms, "You'd be acting like this if they'd kidnapped Tails."

Sonic nodded. "That's true...I'd be worried if they had Tails."

Sheik crossed her arms, "But still, I kind of wished Pit would say more about what was going on."

Sonic raised an eyebrow, "Wait...you guys found Pit?"

"Yeah...but he ran away. On the plus side, he managed to find Diddy, so either way, we've helped one Smasher."

"Heh...I guess that's true," Sonic said, nodding. "Just imagine how the others will feel when we save them."

After their heartwarming reunion, Luigi, Diddy and Falco were facing the four Smashers. They seemed to be rather confused as to what happened. They've had to listen to Sheik explain everything to them.

"So lemme get this straight," Falco said, crossing his arms. "You guys are trying to rescue everyone who's been brainwashed. Which included us?"

"Well, you guys except for Diddy, anyway," Mario said, matter-of-factly.

"Right...well, where do you guys think you're gonna go?"

"Well, since I don't think there's anything else we could do here, we'll have to look around for a bit...at least until we find more Smashers. " Fox said. He began to look puzzled. "Er...what about you guys?"

"We're probably gonna go and find Final Destination. I'm sure it'd be a lot safer with the hands." Luigi said.

"Even Crazy?" Diddy asked with a deadpan look. Luigi looked stunned. "Er..."

"Well, whatever happens, we wish you guys good luck," Falco said, turning away. Luigi began to do the same. "Bye bye!"

Diddy started to follow the other Smashers, but ended up having someone pull his tail, holding him back. "W-what?"

"You're not going anywhere!" Sheik said in a firm tone. Diddy tried to pull his tail away. "Whaddaya mean? I'm a free monkey, I should be going to see the Hands!"

"Seriously, Sheik. Let him go," Fox said with concern. "It's not like he's tossing banana peels, everywhere."

"True," Sheik nodded, picking Diddy off the ground, "But unlike Luigi and Falco, we had to revive him without fighting."

Fox frowned. "Well...yeah, but-"

"Plus, he did know how that the Smashers wouldn't attack us when they're revived. Something tells me that he may know more then what he's let on."

Fox stared at Sheik, he ended up replying with a shrug. "All right, do what you gotta do."

"Fox, you traitor!" Diddy yelled. Meanwhile, Mario and Sonic were staring at the commotion in front of them. The two gaming mascots began to face each other.

"Well...I guess by default, we're a five-man group," Sonic said, feeling slightly awkward. Mario nodded. "S-so, let's get going..."

Afterwards, the Smashers began to travel deeper into the forest. Diddy could only glare at Sheik with his arms crossed as she carried him by the tail.

Diddy: Nononononono! NO!

Sonic: What's wrong?

Diddy: I was really kinda hoping that I'd be left outta this.

Sheik: Well, if we have to suffer, so should you.

Diddy: UGH!

Sonic: Also, is it me or does the fanfic look a little half-assed?

Mario: Aw, whatever...let's just wait for the next update!
