Alright, so it's been almost a whole year since I joined the lovely community of and I posted a story that has gained many fangirls' (and fanboys') attention. This is the sequel to "Holy Rome's Return". And for those of you who said that the last one was sad, prepare to grab you tissues and get ready to sue me for 'causing mass suicide due to the feels'. Yep, if you thought that the last chapter was sad, I've seen Future Diary since then and this shall be sadness and happiness like no other. Now, without further babbling, I bring you, the bittersweet conclusion to "Holy Rome's Return".
PS, It's not going to be in anyone's POV, so, enjoy!
Italy peeked into the doorway and said, "Germany, who is-"he froze when he saw the man at the door.
"Italy-"was all that the thought dead nation could get out.
"Oh Holy Rome! How I've missed you!" he ran up to HRE and hugged him. "Please, don't leave me like that again." Italy was on the brink of tears.
"I've missed you too, but you don't get it. I've been with you the whole time. Even if I can't remember what happened in our past life." Holy Rome slowly began to sound like Germany. Italy looked around, but he couldn't find the German anywhere. The room began to go white. It was just Italy and Holy Rome in a white, seemingly endless space.
"I do understand, but it's not the same! If I ever tried to tell Germany he would die!"
"That is exactly what you aren't understanding." He now sounded completely like Germany. "That was the past and the Holy Rome from the past is gone, but he lives within you friend. Now Italy, it's time for you to wake up."
"No! Don't go!" Italy shouted. But, the image of his dear friend blurred into the white background and disappeared. Italy could feel himself shaking as he heard a voice.
'Wake up! If your room is a mess when Japan comes up here he's going to get pissed!' Italy slowly opened his eyes. It was only a dream. Yet, it was so much more. He smiled.
"Finally, now clean up this mess." Germany said. Italy jumped off the floor and hugged him. Germany was ready to kill him for that. "What the hell?!" Italy smiled. He lost Holy Rome, yet, it was as if he never did.
I love you Germany, I really do.
Italy thought.
And he really meant it.
:*(
I fully understand if any of you want to kill me.
I really do.
I did warn you, though! So, was it worth a year of waiting? I guess that I can wait and find out from you reviewers! With that said, I really, honestly hope you liked it.
PS; as I said earlier, I watched Future Diary and am ready to make you Yuno fans cry. And I'll probably be crying while writing it.
