Chapter 2
Kanoha
"Are you ever going to get rid of that?" Shino's voice pierced through Kiba's thoughts. They were heading to Shikamaru's. He was absentmindedly playing with his pendant. It was the only thing from his past linked to her. "You still believe the person with the other half will show up. Completing your memories?" Shino asked with a concern tone. He didn't necessarily know, but he wasn't going to lose hope. He didn't know why but he felt like something was going to happen, something that would change his life.
Paris
"You're what?!" screamed Ino and Sakura in unison. Hinata couldn't help but laugh at her friends sudden outburst. After 10 years she was returning to Kanoha. "Um….how's Kiba-kun?" she said nervously. Sakura and Ino started downcast their eyes creating an eerie silence. That's right she doesn't know. After what seemed like forever Sakura spoke. "Hinata, after you left…there was an accident and…well Kiba lost his memories.". Hinata gasped is he okay? She said barely keeping her composure. "I'm not finished Hinata. Kiba regained his memories but you're the only one he doesn't remember.". Surprisingly Hinata didn't cry. Instead with a calm tone she asked "Does he still have the other half of the pendant?"
Kanoha-Kiba POV
"Kiba-kun here take this" I looked at what she put in my palm. It was yang (the white piece of the yin yang symbol) made completely of jade. I raised my head to look at her, she was smiling. "I have the other half. When we meet again we'll be complete."
My eyes suddenly jerked open. I started to sit up. That was a first. As I observed my surroundings I realized Shino was already I in the pool. That's right I'm at Shikamaru's. I must have dozed off. Standing up now I took off towards the pool diving in as soon as my feet touched the edge. Rising to the surface I couldn't help but smile. I will be complete. Soon as I reached the surface I hear Shino saying "About time.". I splashed water over in his direction "Shut-up!". After an hour in the pool we headed inside "The pizza should be arriving soon." Shikamaru said with a sigh. We sat in the kitchen talking about what we did the summer "Dammit I can't believe we have school next week." Shikamaru agreeing with me said " It's going to be such a drag." Shino said' Yeah but its our last year.". That's right were seniors this year. I grinned and stared at them both " Let's make this year one we'll never forget". Shino nodded in agreement. Shikamaru l just stared at the ceiling mumbling "So troublesome." yet he had a smirk on his face.
