Heyy guys…yeah its been awhile. Here's the next chapter!

The next day, Solidad took May to do some shopping around town and have a girl's day out. This left Drew with the morning to himself, so he decided he might as well go find Ash and Brock. He figured he could hang out with them and perhaps have a few practice battles to get ready for the Grande Festival. So after having a light breakfast at the lodging area's cafeteria, Drew headed out to find Ash and Brock. But just as Drew walked out the front doors, a familiar face stepped in front is his path. "Hey"

Drew looked up to see who it was and then immediately reaching for his poke balls. This guy was the last guy he wanted to deal with right now.

"Hey! Hey! I'm not here to pick a fight I swear!" Harley said putting his hands up to show that he meant no harm.

"Then what do you want!" Drew said coldly. The longer he looked at Harley, the angrier he got. He could feel his blood begin to boil.

"Look, I just want to talk. I know May and Solidad aren't around, I saw them in walking around town earlier. So please can we talk, man to man?" Harley asked sincerely

Drew was surprised by Harley's tone, he has never seen so…serious. It almost looked like he was gonna get on his knees and beg Drew if he said no to talking. Curious as to what Harley has to say, Drew agreed.

Drew took a deep breath, "Ok fine, but not here. And don't you dare try anything!" Looks like finding Ash and Brock will have to wait.

"I won't I promise! I'm not here to cause trouble." Harley said before following Drew to the back of the building.

When they reached a secluded area, Drew turned around and looked a Harley. He didn't noticed it until now, but it seemed like Harley had lost his typical 'sparkle'. He longer stood tall and proud, there was not extra swag in his step, and it looked like he hasn't slept in months. This was a Harley that Drew never thought he'd witness. It almost made him feel sorry for Harley, but then he remembered what Harley has done and pushed that thought aside.

"So what do you want to talk about?" Drew said coldly

"Look, I never wanted to sink this low but…I need your help," Harley said hesitantly

"Oh really? And raping May wasn't low?" Drew replied dryly. "Abandoning her in the forest to die wasn't low?" he continued

Drew noticed Harley flinched when he mention the rape. He was surprised by this as this was unlike the Harley he knew.

"Well, I shouldn't be surprised that you know," Harley said. He couldn't bring himself to look up at Drew.

"Of course I know, it was ME who found her that day. It was ME who saved her. It was ME who has been there for her since; making sure she is protected, making sure she has someone she came talk to, and making sure she can sleep through the night after what YOU put her through!" Words fueled with anger spilled out of Drew's mouth. He knows he's being harsh with his words and they were causing Harley to flinch with each statement. But Harley deserved to hear them.

Drew took a deep breath to calm himself slightly before continuing, "now, what is it that you want from me?" Drew had no plans of helping Harley out, but he was curious as to what Harley wanted from him.

"Solidad's not speaking to me" Harley said not looking at Drew. "She's said she's mad at what I did."

"Yeah, I know she's mad at you, considering how angry she was tearing up your note yesterday." Drew said coldly, not feeling one bit bad for Harley

Harley looked up at Drew, surprised that he knew about him and Solidad's exchange. "Oh, you know about that too?"

"I ran into her yesterday, she told me all about it." Drew said

"Oh." Harley looked down again. "I don't get why she's so mad at me though, it's not like I did anything to her. I said I was sorry for what I did, but she refuses to forgive me. She said she wants nothing to do with me." His voice quivered at the last sentence as he tried his best to hold in tears.

Drew noticed, but chose not to let that effect his current feelings towards Harley. "Of course, Solidad's mad at you. You hurt one of her friends. I wouldn't be surprised if she never forgives you."

The last sentence stung Harley. Finally, he let a single tear drop. "What should I do? You know Solidad well, Drew. What should I do to make things right? I already said I was sorry for what I did. But she won't listen to that. It pains me that she's not in my life!" Harley finally looks up at Drew, tears were now streaming down his eyes. "Dammit," He thought. He didn't want to resort to asking Drew for help, much less cry in front of him. But he just couldn't hold his emotions in anymore.

"Really? Are you really sorry? What are you sorry about? Are sorry for what you did to May or are you sorry that you upset Solidad? Drew spat out coldly

Harley, surprised by Drew's words, looked down once again and didn't answer, confirming Drew's thought.

"I just want things to go back to the way they were," Harley finally said. "I want to make things right. I hate the fact that Solidad's not speaking to me even though I apologized to her so many times. And I-"

"Shut up!" Drew said angrily, cutting Harley off. "The fact that you're apologizing to Solidad shows that you are not sorry for what you did. And that is why you don't deserve her forgiveness."

Once again Drew rendered Harley speechless. "H-How do I make it right then? Please Drew, please tell me," He pleaded

Drew signed, Harley's pain seems to be finally getting to him. "That's something you have to figure out yourself."

"Oh." That was the only word Harley was capable of making as his mind was busy thinking.

"Look, I know you care deeply about Solidad and I know she still has strong feelings for you too. So if you do the right thing, I'm sure one day, she can find the heart to forgive you. Because that's the kind of person Solidad is. But keep in mind; don't ever underestimate the bond of friendship. If you hurt someone, of course their friends will be affected as well." Drew turns to leave.

"Ok… thanks, I guess." Harley said, his mind still busy

Drew turns to look at Harley one last time, "Just think about what you did. What wrong did you commit? That is the wrong that you have to make right." He turns to face the direction he was going. "I'll see you at the Grande Festival"

Harley didn't look up when Drew left. He had a lot of thinking to do after what Drew told him.

Walking towards the busy streets, Drew thought about what just took place. Harley had come to him practically begging for help. He cried in front of him. He showed true emotions. Harley seemed human for once. Drew was shocked by what just happened. The most shocking note being, "Did he just help Harley?" Drew signed, hoping Harley got what he meant. He hoped he had made the right choice by helping Harley.

Later that day, Solidad arrived in her room after her outing with May. She turned on the lights and immediately noticed that large bouquet of red roses on the dresser. "Uhhh!" she thought. After a long day shopping and getting her mind off of him, this was the last thing she wanted to deal with. She grabbed the bouquet and tossed it into the trash. After tossing the bouquet, she noticed it wasn't the only thing left for her, there was a single black rose with a card attached it that was placed on her nightstand. Solidad was about to toss that as well, before she decided to open the card and read what Harley had to say. To her surprise, it wasn't his usual crap. Instead it said:

"Please give me some time; I promise I will make things right."

Solidad calmed down and gave a small smile. For the first time since the incident, she felt like there was hope for Harley. "Well Harley, it looks like you are finally taking a step in the right direction," She thought. Refolded the letter and placed it in the drawer, then got a glass of water and placed the black rose in it.

That's all for now! Yeah I don't really have much to say about this chapter besides Harley trying to redeem himself. I know I keep apologizing about the slow updates, I've really been busy lately, but I'm really trying. Thank you for your patience and I'll see you in the next update!
