Chapter 10: Pulverize and Destroy! Melon changes!

Summary: In the last chapter, Helheim's plan is improving as King Solaris has accepted his new fate in this new world. Queen Aurora reveals to Luna that she has a hatred towards all Kaijin all because a Kaiju had killed her parents and that she was saved by a mysterious being known as a Kamen rider. Finally, Project D has accepted his fate when he had fought against the Shika Inves, allowing him to gain access to Kamen rider Kumo's powers. But what will happen now with that done? Who will appear this time?

"Shadow Moon, we've picked up Project D's signal. He's alive and well."

The silver android nodded to his comrade as he approached the monitor,"Apollo Geist, send one of the Dopants that we are allied with. Have him find Bat Dopant. She's been off the monitor for quite some time now. We have to bring her back."

Apollo Geist bowed as Shadow Moon left. As the doors opened, Apollo Geist snickered to himself as he watched his leader walk away.

"Time to put my plan into action." Apollo Geist made his way over to the monitor and pressed a button. The monitor closed as it slowly disappeared into the wall before a briefcase appeared. Apollo Geist made his way over to the briefcase and opened it, revealing dozens of Gaia Memories, all similar to Project D's Spider Memory.

The General removed one of the Memories from the case and laughed,"The age of a new Dai Shocker is upon us."

Just then, a Combatmen walked in. He saluted the General and screeched before Apollo Geist handed him the Memory."Looks like this is your lucky day, Combatmen. You've just been promoted." The Combatmen blinked in confusion as Apollo Geist walked over to him,"Head over to the World where Project D was sent. I want you to hand him these Memories. Tell him that I need him to build an army of Dopants with these. Is that clear?"

Still in daze, the Combatmen saluted before leaving with the briefcase.

Once the Combatmen exited the room, he heaved a sigh before removing his mask, revealing that he is in fact, Daiki Kaito. The thief sighed as he opened the briefcase,"These aren't valuable treasures at all. But I guess I could play along with Apollo Geist." He looked around to see that no one was in his presence. Then, Daiki placed the mask back on before making his way out of the corridor.

He chuckled to himself as he closed the briefcase and entered a Dimensional Drift. His next destination, Equestria.

Project D removed the Spider Memory from his belt and the armor shattered before his Lost Driver reverted back into his belt. His wings wrapped around his body instantly, covering him in his cloak.

He looked at the Spider Memory and it glimmered under the sunlight.

That's one down. Fourteen more to go. Project D thought as he kept the Memory.

"Master!" Project D turned to see Bat running towards him with the Pine Lockseed in her hand. She stopped an inch in front of him and spoke,"My apologies, master. I couldn't free myself from those vines. I hope you aren't hurt."

Project D gestured her to stand and replied,"I'm all right, Bat. I'm not hurt too badly." Bat handed him the Pine Lockseed and he felt a shiver ran through his back. He brought the Lockseed closer to him so that he could inspect it closer. As he did, his eyes flashed before the world around him started fading away as he entered his mind again.

There he stood, still, within his own mind. Around him, images of his past battles in Equestria slowly glided to and away from him.

"Enjoying yourself?" Project D turned to see Crusader standing beside him with his arms folded.

"What is the meaning of this, Crusader?" Project D asked.

Crusader laughed as he pointed towards the image of the Pine Lockseed,"That." He walked over to it and stretched out his hand into the image before pulling out the Lockseed from the image. He tossed it over to Project D and spoke,"That right there, is an artifact of great powers. To me, I consider this as a new discovery. I have never seen anything so...intriguing."

Project D blinked,"You mean you don't know what this is either?"

Shaking his head, Crusader replied,"No. I don't have any knowledge of this artifact. But I do sense the power that it contains."

"Oh, you mean that it controls creatures that I don't know?" Project D asked.

"Such naive thoughts you have, Project D." Crusader laughed. Then, he removed the Lockseed Project D's hand before continuing,"But who am I to blame you? You're just a child of the Creator."

Project D's curiosity sparked,"Who's the Creator?"

Crusader turned towards the Kaiju,"It seems Dai Shocker really doesn't care about education. The Creator is the one who creates everything within our universe, Project D. It was him who has given you life. After all, Dai Shocker's experiments would never be alive without the Creator's blessing. You are one of the few Kaijin that the Creator has given life to."

"But what about you?"

Crusader smiled under his mask,"Well, I am a part of the Creator, Project D. I am the living essence of the Creator himself. Thus, my title as Crusader. I spread justice under the Creator's name. in fact, he has chosen me to pair up with you for this. Consider it an honor to have me with you. After all, having me means that you are practically god but that's just a myth. Nobody except the Creator can be god."

He walked over to Project D and placed one of his hands on the Kaiju's shoulder,"Project D, back to the artifact, I have a feeling that it will involve your future as my host. To be precise, I fear that whatever creature that wields the power from this artifact will emerge in the near future and may take you as its host as well. If that were to happen, you'll be in a tough spot deciding who you would follow."

The excitement in Project D's body was spiking up at that moment. He was grinning under his mouth plate as Crusader removed his hand from Project D's shoulder. The Kaiju looked up at the rider and spoke,"Don't worry, Crusader. You know what choice I would make."

"That's what worries me a lot. Your young mind might be tainted with the influence of Dai Shocker if they were to find you. That is why I have decided that remain in hiding for now. It might help by hiding your signal from Dai Shocker. But I fear it might already be too late."

Crusader's hands started glowing as he faced the Kaiju,"In order to make sure that Dai Shocker won't find you at all, I have to seal off your Kaiju form, Project D."

"What?!" Project D cried as he tried to struggle but Crusader's grip proved to be far more stronger.

"It's for your own good, Project D. I'm doing this because I want to protect you. This won't be permanent. The seal will break within fifteen years. Until then, you will have to rely on my powers and Kumo's powers as well. The other fourteen riders will show themselves next time. For now, all we have to do is hide from Dai Shocker."

As the glow on Crusader's hands traveled along his fingers, it entered Project D's body, coating him in a golden glow from head to toe.

"Again, I'm sorry, Project D." Those were the last words that Project D heard from Crusader before he faded. Then, Project D looked at his hands and saw that they were turning to hooves. He felt his wings changing and turned to see that his wings have turned into wings that resembled a Pegasus's wings. His beetle horn had changed into a Unicorn's horn. The glow then faded away as his looked at his new body, a golden coat with golden-orange mane and tail.

Then, he slowly returned back to reality.

Bat shielded her eyes. A moment ago, her master was frozen in place and the next, he was glowing. The glow had nearly blinded her when it mysteriously appeared and the power of the light had blasted her into the lake.

Such power just from a mere glow. Bat was starting to think if she was right in serving Project D instead of Dai Shocker considering that he was able to defeat her.

When the glow died down, she emerged from the water and walked to the shore, only to get the biggest shock of her life. Standing before her was her master, but he wasn't who he is anymore. Instead, he was a little colt. The same height as those two fillies that she had tried to attack before."Master?"

The Kaiju-turned colt groaned as he got up. He looked up at Bat and raised an eyebrow,"Bat? When did you get taller?"

"T-that's because I haven't, master. You're...you're a colt!" Bat stammered as she removed the Bat Memory from her neck. She walked over to her master and picked him up in her arms.

Project D sighed,"I guess I really am a child after all." He hated the fact that Crusader was right about him being a child. He stared at his front hooves and then his wings. Next, he moved his hooves to his forehead where he rubbed his horn, curious about how it felt. Then, he gestured for Bat to put him down, which she did. He hopped onto the ground and looked back at her,"Bat, could you do me a favor?"

The woman nodded her head and the colt continued,"I want you to take care of Thorn for me. She's the Timber Wolf that I've befriended. You can find her in the shelter I made in that direction..."

He gestured a hoof to his left and Bat nodded,"I shall obey that, master. But, why do you need me to take care of her?"

"I'm going into hiding, Bat. I have a feeling that Dai Shocker will be coming after me." He couldn't let Bat know about Crusader, no matter what. Before Bat could ask anymore questions, Project D disappeared into the forest with the Pine Lockseed. Where he was heading? Everfree.

As Solaris stopped by a pillar, he thought back about the things that had happened so far. First, there was the invasion of Helheim. Then, he received a belt from a mysterious being and he became a warrior with unimaginable strength.

He smiled at himself as he held the Melon Lockseed in his hoof. This thing...just what is it?

Just then, the door opened and Queen Aurora and Princess Luna entered. Solaris raised an eyebrow,"Aurora? Where's Celestia?" The queen smiled as she lowered her head and whispered into Luna's ear before the filly smiled and took off into the hallway. As the queen approached Solaris, he asked,"Where's Luna going?"

"I told her to go fetch her sister. So what is it that you need to tell us that it's necessary for us to know?" Aurora asked.

Solaris looked around, making sure that there was not a single soul other than his and Aurora. Then, he faced Aurora and sighed before he spoke,"Very well. The reason why I have brought you here is because of this..."

The Alicorn raised up the Melon Lockseed which made Aurora gasp at seeing another one."It's...another one!"

Nodding, Solaris continued,"During my stay in the forest, the guards and I were attacked by creatures similar to the one we had controlled. I wanted to help the guards but I was dragged away from the camp by one of the creatures. Then, it left me in the forest where another one of the creatures which I suspect that it was the leader of the group attacked me. However, I was given this..."

He gestured to the Melon Lockseed and stood on his hind legs before gesturing a hoof towards his belt.

Seeing it, Aurora's eye widen at the sight of the belt. It had reminded her of the mysterious being that had saved her when she was still a filly. But what was it even called? Now, Solaris had a similar belt but it wasn't exactly the same but she knew that it had the same purpose. So why was her mate given the belt and who gave it to him?

"A creature, probably the same as the others, gave the belt to me. She told me that when I use it, my fate will depend on what I do. She said that my path is all decided by me, a life or death kind of situation."

"B-but why?" Aurora stammered.

Solaris sighed,"I guess I couldn't stand that Equestria is being torn apart by this invading forest. But when I told her what my path was, I became a warrior, a warrior that was able to fight back. Aurora, I now have the power to keep us safe."

Aurora was still in shock. She couldn't believe what she had heard."But why did it have to be you?! Why couldn't she choose somepony else?"

"I think she has faith in me. That's why." Solaris replied with a smile as he got back on all four legs.

Luna dashed out of the castle's entrance. She knew where to look for her sister and it wasn't her room. The Alicorn ran pass the guards, who reacted slowly as they began chasing her.

Smiling to herself, Luna laughed,"Two guards can't outrun me!"

Before long, she had lost them in the castle's garden, where she had intended to go in the first place. Luna hid within a cluster of roses, her favorite hiding spot since the day she could walk.

The guards soon arrived and they begun searching for the princess, only to give up after a few minutes. They soon left and headed back towards the castle.

Once they were gone, Luna got up from her hiding spot and made her way towards the middle of the garden, where Celestia always go whenever she feels troubled. And just as she thought, she found her sister resting on a boulder. Luna sat beside her sister and rested her her head on her back.

"Sister, what's troubling you this time?" Luna asked as she looked up at her sister.

Celestia turned to face her sister and sighed,"It's about that monster who saved us. I know I told you that he would come back but I'm starting to feel that he won't be coming back at all." A tear ran down her cheek as she continued,"Before you came to me, I was thinking about what he said..."

"But what is there to know? He said that he was sorry for trying to hurt our mother." Luna interrupted.

The older Alicorn shook her head,"That isn't all. When he said that, I saw it in his eyes, Luna. I saw sadness, regret and pain. He can't forgive himself for doing what he did. And I'm sure that he's wondering what will happen if he were to return to Everfree."

Luna's eyes soften. She gazed into Celestia's eyes. In them, she saw nothing, nothing but an emotionless void. Luna knew that something was wrong because to her, Celestia was always filled with joy and excitement. But now, she is nothing more than an emotionless body. The familiar joy wasn't radiating off her like how it used to and the excitement couldn't be detected in her no matter how many times Luna tried to feel it. Her sister has somehow fell into a sorrowful state.

But before she could say anything, a shadow loomed over the two mares.

They turned and gasped at what they were staring at. A Yagi Inves, one of the two that had attacked Solaris's camp, was standing before them. It growled loudly as it raised a fist up. As it brought down its fist, the girls jumped off of the boulder. But when they turned around, the boulder had split in two from the Yagi Inves's fist. The Inves turned back and growled again as it advanced towards the two frightened mares.

Feeling fearful, the two Alicorn sisters backed away as fast as they can before they turned and ran back towards the castle with the Yagi Inves chasing them.

Project D had entered the castle's front gates. He found it very strange that there wasn't any guards stationed at the gates. The Kaiju-turned colt looked around and noticed that there weren't any signs of guards as well.

What kind of royal family doesn't have any guards? Project D thought as he made his way towards the castle.

Then, Project D felt a hand on his back. He turned to see Crusader's golden silhouette."What do you want, Crusader?"

Crusader folded his arms,"You know, you don't have to show me that temper just because I had to discontinue your use of your Kaiju form."

Project D scoffed as he continued to make his way towards the castle,"My Kaiju form is who I am, Crusader. Taking that away makes me feel...vulnerable. Besides, I hate it when you're right about me being a child."

A chuckle escaped Crusader,"For your information, Project D, you are technically a child since you are alive for merely a few days. But to make you feel better, you are actually the same age as those two fillies you took care of. What were their names again?"

"Celestia and Luna." Project D replied without looking at Crusader.

"That's it." Crusader petted the colt's head before continuing,"You know, the way you act around those two just makes me feel glad for you."

This time, Project D looked at Crusader. He raised and eyebrow and asked,"What do you mean by that?"

Crusader smiled,"The way you act around those two, it makes me feel glad because you actually found something that most Kaijin would never feel towards the opposite gender."

"And do tell what could that be?" Project D asked.

"Friendship, care, affection and...love." Crusader replied.

Hearing the last word, Project D halted, his eyes widen and his mouth opened."No. That's impossible! A Kaiju could never fall in love with someone of a different species. It's just wrong!"

Crusader laughed,"Are you sure about that? Did you already forget that you are not fully Kaiju? You are one of the Creator's rarest creations, a Hybrid. You are part Kaiju, part pony. That is why you are able to develop these kind of feelings. Most Kaijin are pure Kaiju in both heart and blood. But you, you are Kaiju at blood and a pony at heart."

"That's impossible."

Crusader sighed,"For once, Project D, stop acting like a child and accept it. You were meant to be a Hybrid. Remember, the Creator decides who lives and who dies. He decides who shall be pure and who shall be a Hybrid. And he has chosen you to be a Hybrid."

"But what good is a Hybrid like me?!" Project D cried. He was starting to feel irritated by Crusader's talks.

One of Crusader's hands rested on Project D's back and he replied,"You are capable of having emotions, something that keeps you going in life. Unlike pure Kaijin, you have abilities that no other Kaijin can possess. You hold the power of Friendship within you, Project D, a power that surpasses the power of evil. You just have to accept the fact that you are a Hybrid. Stop thinking that you are just a Kaiju. Because when the time comes, you will have to decide on your fate."

A scream was soon heard.

Crusader looked towards Project D,"It seems that scream belonged to a filly that you know. I'd suggest that you check it out. There might be trouble." Without another word, Crusader faded away as Project D ran off towards the screams.

Both Solaris and Aurora ran out of the castle and they both gasped when they saw their daughters being cornered by the Yagi Inves.

"It's one of them! It was one of the creatures who killed the guards!" Solaris cried. A sudden sensation then filled his body as he looked at his Lockseed. The Melon Lockseed flashed momentarily before it's lock opened.

- Melon! -

Solaris looked back at Aurora, who nodded. Then, Solaris smiled as he stood on his hind legs before placing the Lockseed onto the belt and closing the lock on it.

- Lock On! -

A zip appeared above the Alicorn as it ripped a hole in the sky before the familiar giant mechanical Muskmelon slowly descended from it. Solaris turned to face his mate and saw that she had a worried look on her face. He showed a reassuring smile before he placed a hoof below the hilt of the small sword on his belt before pushing it, causing the Lockseed to split open.

- Soiya! Melon Arms! Tenka Gomen! -

Then, the mechanical Muskmelon collided onto his head, causing a white suit with golden wrists and ankle armor parts attached to him to materialized before the mechanical fruit split open to form the armor's chest plate and shoulder pads. A visor appeared in front of his eyes in a color of golden-brown. A helmet resembling a melon with a golden crescent was the last to appear and to complete the transformation.

Seeing him in this form, Aurora's eyes widen. To her, it felt like she was watching a thing of the past happening all over again. Solaris had became a warrior that resembled the mysterious being that saved her but with different features.

Solaris raised his shield up as he removed his sword from his belt's strap. He looked towards the Yagi Inves and gripped his sword tightly before charging towards it. As he did, the Yagi Inves snarled at the armored Alicorn. It shifted its attention from the princesses to Solaris and clenched its fist.

When the Alicorn king got near, he swung his sword, clashing it with the Inves's hoof-like blade.

"Get away from my daughters, you monster!" Solaris cried. He looked back towards his daughters and saw their shocked expression. He knew that keeping this secret wasn't going to last long anyway."Girls, go to your mother. I'll handle this beast."

The Inves stared at Solaris, its rage rising at the moment. The Inves remembered. It remembered that Solaris had killed the Inves who had helped it evolve to a stronger Inves. It wanted revenge for what the Alicorn had done to who it had respected. A roar escaped the Yagi Inves as it thrust its other fist towards Solaris, landing a blow to his chest.

Solaris staggered back a few steps, losing his balance. His grip on his sword loosened and the Inves noticed it. The Yagi Inves took this opportunity to ram Solaris, which it did successfully. The Alicorn fell on his back as he dropped his sword while his shield remained in his possession. He looked up and saw the Inves advancing towards him with its blades out.

He stared at the Inves with wide eyes, which was concealed by his mask. He shifted his eyes and saw that both Celestia and Luna were with their mother but they had worried looks on their faces. Looking back at the Inves, Solaris gritted his teeth as his muttered to himself,"Is this what I have to offer? Is my strength not good enough for me to defend Equestria from this invasion? I'm...I'm not prepared yet. Please...somebody...help me."

The Inves stood before the Alicorn with one of its blade raised. It glared at Solaris with a wicked grin as it brought down its blade.

Aurora, Celestia and Luna all covered their eyes, not wanting to see the final moment of Solaris. But...there wasn't any sound. They opened their eyes and gasped. In between Solaris and the Yagi Inves was a newcomer. But to the princesses, they know the newcomer as their friend, Project D.

"Celestia, it's him!" Luna smiled as she nudged her sister, who nodded back.

Project D was in his Crusader armor and the Yagi Inves's blade had made contact with his wrist armor. In his free hand, Project D had his weapon in Gun Mode. He pulled the trigger, releasing three shots of golden beams that knocked the Inves back.

When the Inves was downed, Project D faced Solaris as he extended a hand. Solaris reached out and grabbed his hand as he got up."I may not know who you are, stranger. But thanks for the help." Solaris spoke as he picked up his weapons.

The Inves immediately got back to its feet and screeched as it glared at the two riders.

Solaris got into a stance with his shield up,"What do we do about this creature?"

Project D remained silent. He pulled the hilt of the gun and a blade extended out from the top of the gun.

- Crusade Saber! Stand By! -

Without another word, Project D charged towards the Inves, leaving Solaris momentarily stunned. As he got nearer to the Inves, he swung his sword and clashed with the Inves several times. He continued his attacks for a full minute before he finally managed to knock the Inves off-balanced. Project D then held his hand close to the gem on his gun, which started glowing.

- Justice Slash! -

A golden glow coated the blade and Project D steadied himself before swinging his sword, releasing the glow from the blade as it took the form of a projectile before colliding with the Inves, sending it flying before it crashed onto the ground again.

Solaris ran up to Project D and sheathed his sword,"Hey! What's your problem? You could have killed yourself fighting that beast!" However, Project D wasn't paying attention. He was staring at Solaris's Melon Lockseed. Project D then realized that the Lockseed was the one that gave the Alicorn his rider armor, just like how the gem on his belt does the same for him.

He took out the Pine Lockseed from his belt strap and tossed it over to Solaris, who caught it. He gasped at the sight of the Lockseed and faced Project D,"W-where did you get this? Did you go to that forest?"

Forest? Project D wanted to question him about the forest he was talking about but realized that the Inves was getting up. He pointed to Solaris's Melon Lockseed and then the Pine Lockseed again.

At first, Solaris was confused at what Project D was trying to tell him. But he soon realized it and removed the Melon Lockseed.

- Lock Off! -

"You'd better be right about this..." Solaris replied as he opened the Pine Lockseed.

- Pine! -

Next, Solaris placed the Lockseed onto his belt as his armor formed back into a giant mechanical Muskmelon and it flew upwards, back into a hole in the sky as a giant mechanical Pineapple dropped down and landed on Solaris's head. The, Solaris pushed the sword on his belt again.

- Lock on! -

- Soiya! Pine Arms! Funsai Destroy! -

The mechanical Pineapple soon split opened as it formed an armor around Solaris's bodysuit. Once the armor was equipped, Solaris looked down to see a flail that resembled a Pineapple."What in Equestria am I suppose to do with this then?" He questioned as he lifted the flail up.

Project D looked back and saw the Inves charging towards them. He raised his sword up and collided with the Inves, blocking its path towards Solaris.

"Father!" Solaris turned to see Celestia calling for him."Try using that weapon! Maybe something might happen!"

Solaris nodded as he looked at the flail,"Something might happen. But what could it be. All well, I guess I have no choice but to do something." Solaris grabbed the chain connected to the back of the flail and he started to swing it."I think I'm getting the hang of this thing." Unfortunately for him, he immediately lost his grip of the chain and the flail was sent flying.

However, the flail started growing in midair. When it reached a giant size, it crashed onto the Inves's head.

Now, Solaris was dumbfounded. He had no idea that the flail was capable of growing in size. And he didn't noticed Project D appearing beside him. Project D grabbed the small sword on Solaris's belt and pushed it, causing the Pine Lockseed to glow.

- Soiya! Pine Squash! -

"W-what did you just do?!" Solaris demanded as Project D raised him up into the air before throwing him towards the Inves. A glow then emitted from his foot and Solaris felt energy flowing into his body at that moment. He stretched out his right foot before he collided with the Inves, destroying it with an explosion following afterwards.

The Alicorn fell on his back as he landed. His armor dissolved as he closed the Lockseed, changing him back into an Alicorn."What...what was that spell?"
