Chapter 14

" I take it you aren't pleased that it was one of the twins who..."

" Shh! It's not that! But can I really hope that the one who kissed me was Kaoru?"

" Well, it isn't really my problem, but you could always ask them yourself."

At first, I stared at him, thinking he was crazy but after a moment I realised he was right. How else am I going to find anything out? Slowly, he started to walk off.

" Wait, don't you want it back?"

With his expressionless face, he glance at me before saying, " I have no need for it anymore. You can keep it. You fulfilled your purpose after all. I have nothing more to gain by keeping it."

" Thank you."

" If you keep it, maybe there will be an interesting development." There was a sound of slyness in his voice.

" Do you by any chance know which one it was?"

" What gave you that idea?"

" Aren't you a man who possesses all kinds of information?"

As he pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose, they glinted sharply. " That may be true but even I can lack information."

Kyoya Ootori is definitely an interesting character. He seemed to know so much yet hardly does anything with the information he has. As he turned to leave, I cast my gaze to the photo. Even though I squint, it doesn't help at all, as it doesn't make the faint outline any clearer. Before I knew it, the photo was crumpled from the tight grip I had on it. Slowly, I draw my face closer to the image hoping for it to have some effect.

" What are you looking at?" A sudden voice struck me from my deep focus.

Immediately, I flinch and quickly attempt hide the photo behind my back but it drifted out of my hand and I fumbled trying to grab it. Once I had a secure grip on the image it was shoved deeply into my pocket. In front of me, stood the exact person I desperately wanted to avoid.

" Hikaru! I was just looking at something private."

" It wouldn't be another one of those pervy books would it?" He smirked with his cat like grin.

At the thought of it, I blushed bright red, " Of course not! I'm not like that at all!"

Awkwardly, to avoid any more embarrassment I attempted to change the topic, "So... How come you're not with Kaoru? It's rare to see both of you without each other."

" You're not very observant. I'm right behind you." A voice whispered close to my ear. The suddenness caused me to jump and back off immediately.

" DON'T DO THAT!" I screamed. Of course, he had to be nearby; where ever one of it, the other isn't to far behind.

" Aww. I did I surprise you?" He had a smile which matched his brother's sinister smirk.

" Surprise is an understatement!"

A surge of panic starts to run through me. If he's behind me does that mean he saw the image! Today isn't going well. For now, I'll have to pretend that nothing is go on and avoid being alone with the twins!

" Anyway, I wondered if everyone wants to go catching for fireflies right now." I spoke loud enough so that anyone else could hear and it worked like a charm as Tamaki immediately came over to us with his eyes full of excitement.

" That sounds like fun! We should all go together!" The host club king exclaimed.

When I least expected it, Honey launched himself on my back with a large thud. I gasped as the wind was knocked out of me.

" Hey Haz-chan, what do we need fireflies for?" Wondered Honey.

" If we wake up at night, it's a lot easier to see in the night than to try and light a fire in complete darkness. Luckily for you, I've brought a few jars with me to trap them in. "

Then, I rummaged through the heavily packed bag and yanked out the jars, one by one.

" How much have you packed in that bag?" Hikaru asked as he frowned at the amount crammed into such a small space.

" Every single thing that is needed for this trip. You know what they say, prepare for the unexpected."

" What makes you think something unexpected will happen?" Questioned Kaoru.

" Honestly, the way I see it is that, when you have someone as spontaneous as Tamaki-senpai with you, you have to be prepared."

"You have a point." Hikaru ended as he walked off with Kaoru trailing closely behind him.

" Hey, can I have a jar?" Honey asked sweetly. With a smile, I handed it over and as soon the jar was in his hand, he ran up to Mori holding the jar, smiling brightly. In response, mori smiled back. I can definitely see why this pair are popular in the club.

" Senpai, let me go!" Haruhi yelled, as she was trying to pry her way out of Tamaki's grip.

" But I want catch fireflies with you!" Whined Tamaki.

" I was going to go anyway so why do you need to hold me so tightly?"

" But I take my eyes away from you for even a second somehow those crafty twins will take you away!"

Right on cue, two shady figures loomed over the overly anxious host club king with sinister glints in their eyes.

" As you were saying..." Kaoru started.

" ...we'll be taking Haruhi away from you now.' Hikaru finished with a villainous tone.

Horrified, Tamaki looked on as his precious daughter was dragged further away from him. In an attempt to cheer him up, I walked over holding a jar and I grabbed his hand, then I placed the clear container there. Slightly confused, he looked at me and I smiled at him.

" You want to catch fireflies, don't you? So why not go and try and catch up with them? "

Dramatically, he responded, as his eyes watered and he ambushed me in a unbearably tight hug.

" Aw! I know I can always count on you. Don't worry Daddy will retrieve your sister!"

At that moment, he sped off in the direction the twins left, yelling loudly. If he isn't careful, Tamaki will definitely injure himself. Before I forget I better see if Nanami wants to join in. As I started to walk off in the direction of her tent I felt a a light tug on my sleeve. I look behind to see Honey.

" Where are you going?" He asked.

" I need to find Tokinawa-sama to see if she wants to join us."

" Can I come to invite Nana-chan as well?" His eyes glowed brightly as he pulled a cute expression. How can anyone ever say no to a face like that?

" Of course you can. You don't have to ask."

" Yeah! Oh, Takashi come with us!"

As usual Mori replied with a humph and picked up Honey. Simply, Honey laughed as he felt Mori's grip on his waist as Mori lifted him up onto his shoulders.

Once Honey was comfortable on Mori's shoulders, he pointed his finger cheerfully shouting, " Off we go!"

As soon as we reached Nanami's tent, I called out to her first, before we instructed to go inside. She was sat at a small desk, reading a fashion magazine leisurely.

" What is it Hazel?" She asked in an irritated tone. not even glancing at us as she spoke.

" Well, Honey-senpai and Mori-senpai came with me to ask if you wanted to come with us to catch fireflires?"

At the mention of Honey and Mori's names, she gazed up and left her magazine on the desk as she acknowledged their presence.

" Honey and Mori, it's good to see you." She greeted.

" You too. So Nana-chan will you come with us?"

" I don't feel up for going out at the moment. I think I have had enough encounters with insects for one day."

" Aw, but won't you be on your own if you don't come?"

" I'll be fine, anyway I still have to unpack."

" Well, ok then. Bye Nana-chan!"

Just as I was about to exit the tent behind them, Nanami called for me to stay for a moment longer.

" Hazel, don't forget what I said earlier." Her voice was almost icy.

" Yes Tokinawa-sama." Once I spoke, I was unable to keep my sadness buried. I bowed respectfully.

" Don't be upset. I'm saying it for your own good. Who knows what could happen if you continue to be involved with them especially with those twins?" This time she didn't sound as harsh but I couldn't look Nanami in the face.

I remained silent at the question. The sound of her footsteps drew closer towards me until she stop directly in front of me. Then, she put a warm hand on my shoulder as a form of comfort.

" I hope you won't hold a grudge against me for this. I don't want our relationship to be affected by this little order."

" Of course it won't affect anything." I spoke hollowly.

" That's good. You should go with them now. Enjoy your time with them while you can."

" Yes, Tokinawa-sama."

As soon as I exited the tent, Honey looked at me in concern and I smiled as widely as I could.

" We should get going now. The others are probably wondering where we are."

After walking a while, Honey decided to break the silence asking the worst question possible at the moment.

" Haz-chan, are you ok?" His voice clearly showing his concern.

" Yeah. I guess you heard my and Tokinawa-sama's conversation. I have nothing against any of you. But I have to obey orders."

" Is that what you're worried about? Well, don't worry she may have ordered you to stay away from us but we don't have to stay away from you!" He said trying to be optimistic.

Honey is right. I can't let this get to me. I doubt that even if I tried to create distance between me and the club, it wouldn't last long especially with Tamaki and the twins being so persistent.

" I guess you're right. Thanks Honey-senpai."

" By the way, Haz-chan when will you tell Kao-chan that you like him?"

Dumbfounded, I stood for a moment stopping to register what happened. After walking a few steps, Mori-senpai stopped walked and simultaneously they turned their heads around looking at me.

" ...When...How... Is it that obvious?"

Both of them nodded twice, confirming my worst nightmare. Great, the more people that know the more likely something bad is going to happen. I groan at the thought.

" Hey Haz-chan, you must really like Kao-chan because you blush around him a lot and you always seem really happy when you see him!"

Yet again, I groaned. Why can't I keep my emotions under control?!

" Mitsukuni, I don't think you're helping." Mori pointed out.

He ignored Mori's warning and proceeded with questing. " What's stopping you from confessing to him?"

Honey is asking all the wrong questions today! At least he doesn't know about the photo. Now that would be even worse!

" Well... it's complicated."

Innocently, he blink a couple of times, thinking carefully before answering, " If you are worried about confessing to Kao-chan, don't worry; he's a really nice guy!"

Fondly, I remember the moment when we were hiding at Kyoya's rose garden and he gave me that orange rose.

" I know, that's why he's so likable."

Once, I had stopped daydreaming I finally started to move.

" Where are you going?" Asked Honey.

" We need to find the others before we go catching fireflies." I grinned as I held up the jar.

" Yay, let's get going Takashi!'

Mori gave his usual humph as he started to walk. It wasn't long before we found the others as Tamaki and the twins arguing could be heard from a good while away.

" Mama, tell our sons to leave our daughter alone!" Whined Tamaki.

" But isn't it your responsibility as the father to resolve the matter, Daddy." Kyoya spoke in a sly tone.

" You're right! Also as the host club's king I must protect any lady, especially my little girl!"

" You can't be a very good king if you let her get kidnapped in the first place." Hikaru said.

Before they could argue any further, Honey announced our arrival.

" Oh so we can finally get going now?" The twins commented.

" Yeah, we should get going. There should be a lot of them flying around this time." I commented leading the way.

" Hey Hazel are we going to get lost are we?" Tamaki asked sounding slightly scared.

" Tamaki-senpai are you scared because it's your first night in the wilderness?" I questioned.

" It's just that I've heard stories about somethings in the night."

"Hey Kaoru did you hear that wild wolves run around in this area?" Hikaru whispered loudly.

" Yeah I did. The rumor is that they go wandering around the camps at night, searching for food."

" And sometimes they even wander into people's tents."

The tormenting twins were causing Tamaki to start shaking. Out of panic, he clung tightly to Haruhi.

"Haruhi! They're being mean to me!"

" Senpai get off me! Hikaru and Kaoru stop teasing him, you're making things worse!" Shouted a frustrated Haruhi.

" But we're bored."

" You won't be bored for much longer. We're here."

There were a few gasps as they observed their surroundings. The river looked just exactly as I remember it. In the far distance you could hear the quiet crashing of water. At the river's side, were small pebbles which were scattered in neat rows. Hovering near the running river, were the minuscule light bugs we were after. All the bugs' lights created a peaceful atmosphere.

" Wow, they're beautiful." Haruhi whispered, in awe of the lights surrounding her.

A surprised Haruhi was suddenly grabbed hold of by her doting 'father' as he spoke, " Come with me Haruhi! Let's catch them together!"

" Wait a moment. Let me just give you a piece of advice if you want to catch fireflies well, you're best guiding them into the jar with the lid and you have to act qui-"

" Alright! We finally have something to do!" Yelled the twins as they took off ahead.

Immediately, I sigh. I can definitely give up on explaining anything. Shortly after, Tamaki followed in their footsteps dragging Haruhi with him. Once again, we had been left behind but at least they were in our sight this time. A childlike giggle came from Honey as he climbed off Mori and started to pull him along after the others. Yet again, I had been left alone with the notorious shadow king.

" So... Kyoya-senpai, do you..."

" Before you ask, no. I don't want to join in."

" Come on. You never know you might just enjo-"

" Stop while you're ahead. You're starting to sound like Tamaki."

I looked at him dumbfounded. Despite his attempt, I won't stop until I get some kind of result.

" Even a workaholic like you, Kyoya-senpai, need a break from your all important notebook and have some fun every once in a while."

"You may have a point but I believe the same can be applied to you, since you are still working while you're supposed to be on a break."

" That's true. But we can both try and have fun. I have an idea what we could do tomorrow and you can put your strategic thinking to the test!"

" That sounds interesting in its own way. What will we be doing?"

" Let's just say you can trap people and toy with them for your own entertainment!"

If this idea doesn't appeal to him I don't know what will. A smirk played on his lips as he considered my offer.

" Alright. Maybe a surprise will make this trip even more exciting."

" Ok. Are you still sure you don't want to join in?"

Bluntly, he said, " No."

I nodded and ran after the others. With intense focus, the twins cooperated with each other as they collected several of the bugs at a time. They grinned in success as they looked at the filled jar. At first, Honey struggled trying to gather them as the fireflies started to fly to greater heights than the blond could reach. Kindly, Mori-senpai picked Honey up and placed him on his shoulders. Instantly, Honey's face lit up as he saw more fireflies which he finally managed to capture some more.

However it was a different story with Tamaki and Haruhi as the jar remained as clear and empty as before. Even though they weren't faring so well in capturing their targets, the pair looked like they were having a lot of fun. Haruhi couldn't help but laugh as Tamaki hopelessly flailed around after the fireflies which were keen to fly away from them. Determined not to disappoint, Tamaki even attempted to jump in the air after them and slap, the lid down on the jar but it had no success what so ever.

Next, Haruhi tapped the host king on the shoulder, gesturing him to give her the jar. With a more subtle attempt, she guided the fireflies using the lid (like I had told them all earlier) and she managed to capture a couple. Happily, Tamaki hugged her with all his might as he celebrate their first capture.

Content, I smile in the sight. They were acting very sweet with each other. I wish I could act like that with Kaoru...

Wait! What am I thinking? I need to remember that I can't be with him! Especially, when I don't know which one of them kissed me! I swear this is driving me mad.

" Hey Hazel. Come over here! Daddy wants to play with both of his daughters!"

Laughing, I shook my head at the blond's obliviousness. Honestly, you think he would be aware that he likes Haruhi more than a daughter. Then again, this is Tamaki after all. I ran towards them and stopped as soon as Tamaki shoved the jar directly in my face.

" Look we managed to catch some fireflies!" Tamaki said excitedly.

" You definitely did better than the first time I tried to catch fireflies. I had to get my dad to help me and we still didn't manage to get any. In the end, my mum had to help us. claiming that we were a hopeless pair. This place has a lot of good memories for me!" I told them nostalgically.

" Oh, I didn't mean to get carried away!" I ended shyly as I scratched the back of my head.

" It's fine. We all have moments when we remember good times." Haruhi reassured me.

" Thanks. We still need to catch some more fireflies in your jar."

Carefully, I took the jar from Tamaki's hand as I added several more to their collection.

Then, I inspected the jar's contents making sure the fireflies would be ok and couldn't escape." I think we should have enough. Let's get the others and head back."

I handed back Tamaki the jar and he gently cradled it in his hands. Eagerly, the twins and Honey ran up to us, along with Mori trailing behind the trio, wanting to compare the number of fireflies in their filled jars. Then, Kyoya causally strolled towards us, looking pleased with himself at the amount of work he managed to complete as he snapped his book shut.

On the way back to the camp, Tamaki and Hikaru in a heated discussion about who had the most fireflies while Honey walked beside them, smiling at the fireflies' attractive lights. Mori wasn't far behind Honey keeping a watchful eye for any trouble. Kyoya walked beside Haruhi at the back and somehow I ended up walking next to Kaoru. It was blatantly obvious I was trying to avoid his gaze as he smirked every time I tried to look at him without him noticing me.

" You know if you want to say something you can just say it." Kaoru stated with a playful tone in his voice.

" I don't have anything to say." I spoke quickly as I was silently hoping he wouldn't say anything else.

" You look like you have something on your mind. Are you sure you don't want to talk?" His tone was kinder this time. He tried to look at me in the eye but I averted my gaze to the ground.

" I'm sure. But thanks for offering."

Luckily, I was dragged into the discussion about the fireflies by Tamaki which meant I didn't have to speak with him any further. Once we had made it to camp, I decided to end their quarreling by counting all the jars myself. Tensely, the twins, Tamaki and Honey were gathered in a line waiting for my verdict. I grinned as Honey, who hadn't really argued with them, had the most fireflies much to the twins' and Tamaki's despair.

Honey declared that he had to celebrate with some cake. Not long after everyone was ready to retire for the night. I was glad to see my sleeping bag as I need some well deserved rest and I collapsed onto as soon as I saw it. Haruhi zipped up the tent.

" Hey Haruhi, do you always feel this tired after dealing with the host club?" I yawned.

" I was at first, but you learn to get used to it."

" How are they always so energetic? They must live on sugar or something."

Haruhi laughed lightly as she added, " Honey-senpai definitely does."

I grin tiredly. " That's true. I need to sleep. I have to get up early to prepare breakfast and I also need to check on Tokinawa-sama in the morning."

" I'll help you in the morning. If you want, we could take it in turns to cook the food." She offered.

" Thanks Haruhi. You're definitely someone I can fully trust in using my tools. If it was Tamaki he would probably injure himself." My voice wasn't as clear as I was about to fall asleep.

" You better sleep now. You need it. Goodnight."

" Night, Haruhi."

Slowly, I shut my eyes and I could still hear Haruhi shuffling around in the tent as she crawled into her sleeping bag.

Later on, I stirred as there was a low, grumbling sound coming outside the tent. Suddenly, there were several brief bursts of light which even illuminated inside the tent, which was then followed by a deafening crackling sound. I didn't know that lightning and thunder would happen. It wasn't forecasted but then again can you ever trust the weather predictions?

Then, next to me, there was a quivering form which lay beneath the shelter of the covers. At the next crash and bolt of lightning, a terrified whimper escaped from the person. Gently, I tried to lift the cover off her head but it was difficult since she had clung so tightly to the cover. After prying off her grip, she looked at me weakly with a vulnerable look in her eyes.

" Haruhi are you afraid of lightning?"

" I'm sorry. I didn't mean to wake you up. I'll be fine." She responded as she was trying to hide her face.

The same sound echoed around us again, terrifying the girl. Straight after, she tried to cover her head. To comfort her, I hugged her and at the next sound she clung to the fabric of my shirt, using all of her strength.

" I'm sorry I don't have anything to block out the sound." I murmured.

Then, the tent's entrance was unzipped. Through the crack, I saw the familiar face of the host club king, who's eyes were wide in worry for the trembling girl.

" How's Haruhi?" He raised his voice so that he wouldn't be drowned out by the growling noise outside.

" She's not doing well. Do you have anything to block out the noise?"

Much to my surprise the other host were gathered outside trying to get a glance at their fellow club member.

" I have my headphones. I'll get them now!" Shouted Hikaru as he dashed towards his tent.

Honey crawled through the small gap and held out his adorably cute bunny out to Haruhi.

" Haru-chan, you can borrow Usa-chan if you want."

The girl only hid her face in my shoulder as the lightning crackled.

" Thanks for offering Honey-senpai, but I don't think Haruhi can do anything at the moment." I spoke instead.

" I'm back!" Hikaru held out his music player instantly and almost threw it in my direction.

" Thanks."

Tamaki came inside the tent and took Hikaru's headphones and placed them on Haruhi's head. After turning the volume to nearly full, Haruhi started to relax. The hosts all breathed a sigh of relief as she was no longer shaking. Soon Tamaki took my place in hugging Haruhi. The hosts all waited until she had drifted off into a deep sleep and luckily the lightning and thunder had passed.

" I'm kind of sleepy." Yawned Honey which indicated to the hosts that they as well need their rest.

Mori took Honey back and Kyoya followed them away from the tent. The twins were reluctant to leave, but their tiredness had got the better of them so they had to go. Tamaki remained holding Haruhi. The way he held her was as if she was the most precious object in the world to him. I hate to admit it but I'm slightly envious how he can express his emotions so freely.

" Tamaki-senpai as much as I hate to say it, you have to let her go at some point."

Meekly he smiled, then lay her down. Carefully, he wrapped her up in her sleeping bag. Tenderly, he admired her features as he moved a thin strand of hair from her face. It's amazing how this man in front of me doesn't realise his feelings at all, yet it's so clear how strongly he feels for her.

" You better get some sleep to Hazel. Goodnight." He instructed.

I could see his reluctance to leave.

So before he had the chance to leave, I said, " Don't worry, senpai. I'll keep watch of her."

He smiled at me and spoke, " I don't doubt you for a second. I know you'll look after your sister."

" Night, Daddy." I play along and it works as he seems to be in a better mood.

Fortunately, I don't wake up until the morning. The birds are singing which is much more peaceful than the horrible conditions last night. Groggy, I walked out of the tent still in my sleepwear not caring about my appearance and I slipped on an old pair of trainers. The first thing I do is start to cook breakfast as my stomach was angrily crying out. Wafting around the camp, was the alluring smell of the cooking which seemed to rouse several of my campmates.

Wide eyed and refreshed, the host club king wondered out of his tent in fresh clothes.

" Good morning! What are we having for breakfast?" He asked excitedly.

How can he be so energetic first thing in the morning?! Then his face fell as he glanced at me.

" What's wrong senpai?" I questioned.

Then the twins walked out of their tent.

" How can anyone be so loud in the morning?" Hikaru complained.

" Well, this is Tamaki we are talking about." Kaoru spoke causally. Then the twins spotted me and their mouths formed the same shock expression as Tamaki.

Next, Kyoya wondered towards us, then he looked slightly shocked before smirking.

" Now this is interesting."

What is wrong with them all?

Honey ran out of his tent beaming with Mori trailing behind as usual. He stopped in his place as he saw me before forming another shocked expression.

" What's wrong with you all? Haven't you seen a girl in sleepwear before?!" I shouted annoyed at the looks I had been getting.

" I can't hold it in anymore!" Hikaru clutched his chest and started to laugh.

Then Kaoru copied the same action as he breathed out, " It's hilarious!"

" What's wrong?" I asked slightly unsure.

Honey giggled lightly as he spoke, " Haz-chan you might want to look at your appearance."

Mori gestured to me to look into the reflective surface of a pan and I glanced casually before I widen my eyes in realisation.

" Damn it! It's my bed head from hell!" My head was covered in uncontrollable flicks and it practically looked like a bird's nest.

This only caused Hikaru and Kaoru to laugh harder.

" Continue laughing if you don't want your meals!" I shouted storming off to my tent to change clothes and tame my knotty lion's mane.

Once I was done, Haruhi rose from her slumber.

" Hi Haruhi. Did you get a good sleep?"

" I feel better thanks."

Once I walked out of my tent, the twins were still covering up their sniggers and I shot them a glare which only seemed to make them laugh more. Haruhi finally surfaced from the tent and she was greeted warmly by the hosts. After cooking breakfast for the hosts, I took Nanami's to her tent which she still hadn't awoke. Gently, I shook her to wake her up and wished her a good morning. She softly groaned before opening her eyes. I started my servant duties by making her bed while she changed.

" Hazel, how are the hosts?"

" They are as energetic as ever. They enjoyed catching fireflies and I think we are going to play some games today."

" What kind of games?" She wondered.

" I hear Tamaki-senpai is a big fan of kick the can. It should be fun, we haven't played it for years." I commented.

" I suppose I will join in today since I didn't go with you yesterday."

" I'm sure Tamaki and the others will be glad to hear that you're joining us."

Simply, she hummed in response. Once I had finished my jobs, I lead the way to camp and this time we didn't have any encounters with any creepy crawlies.

Warmly, Honey welcomed Nanami with a cute smile, " Hey Nana-chan! You should have come with us yesterday. It was fun!"

Politely, she laughed as she commented, " I'm glad you enjoyed yourself but I'm not a fan of bugs."

" Ah, Nanami how wonderful it is to see you this morning!" Tamaki greeted with his professional host charms.

" You too, Tamaki! So what are we doing today?"

" Well, Hazel was supposed to have an idea. Weren't you?" Kyoya questioned with a light smirk.

Instantly all the hosts turned their heads to look at me. I hate it when he puts me on the spot!

" Since you all seem to enjoy games so much it might be a good idea to play capture the flag. Both teams have territories and each team has a flag. The aim is to capture the other teams flag. You can be caught out by the other team by tagging them and they will be in jail. In jail you are confine by the enemy and if you want to get your team mate back you need to sneak across the border and tag them, then race back across the border. But if you get caughIf you capture the other teams flag you are the winner. That should be all the rules. So do you want to play it?"

" That sounds fun!" Cheered Honey.

" Sounds good!" Tamaki said.

All the hosts looked keen to play. However on one hand, Nanami didn't seemed to look very impressed.

" I think I'll pass. I'd rather watch over the match."

" Alright. That way the teams are an even number. I have a couple of scarves which could be used for flags so now we need to decide the teams."

" We should draw straws and that way it should be fair." Haruhi suggested.

Quickly, I marked four of the straws in biro and mixed them up and held them in my hand.

" All of you get ready to draw." I announced and all the hosts had their hands on one straw, creating a tense atmosphere around us. " On three. One. Two. Three!"

Everyone was eager to see the outcome. Observing the last straw in my hand, I had a marked straw. Then I glance around to see Tamaki racing towards me, clutching me in a tight grip.

" I'm with my little girl!" He yelled happily.

Tamaki was hardly a quiet person but I can imagine he's competitive making him a good member. Next with two hands holding a marked straw, Honey ran towards us beaming brightly.

" Tama-chan! Haz-chan! I'm with you." He declared.

Unhappily, Hikaru walked towards us.

" I can't believe I'm separated from Kaoru." Moaned the auburn haired twin.

" It's not the end of the world. Haven't you wanted to beat your brother ever since you lost to him at Twister?" I encouraged.

A grin quickly formed on his face, showing he had some plan calculated in his mind.

" That's true."

So the teams had been separated as me, Tamaki, Honey and Hikaru on one side and on the other was Kyoya, Kaoru, Mori and Haruhi.

" Now we have the teams, we better go and find a good place to play."

After walking in the dense woodland, we reach a clearing, which was peaceful. I started to mark out the border with some of my belongings while the others waited, chatting. I gave Nanami, a whistle to start the match when we were all the ready. Once I finished, I wandered over.

" To make things more interesting, we should give each team a condition if they lose." Kyoya suggested smirking.

" Sure. I could use some help watching equipment so we should have the losing team do all the chores." I said, trying to advantage of the situation.

" That could be good but I was thinking something more personal." He replied.

" I have an idea." Kaoru stated. " Honey-senpai should give up any sweets and cake for the rest of the trip!"

I gasped and looked at the poor blond who was tearing up.

" Don't take my cake away. Please." He begged.

In the heat of the moment, I pointed at Kyoya shouting, " That isn't fair so if your team loses Kyoya should give up his notebook and any work for the rest of the trip!"

Straight away, the shadow king narrowed his smoky brown eyes in a disapproving way which almost seemed demonic.

Before he had the chance to object, Kaoru interrupting saying, " We accept your terms."

At the same time, we all turned away and took cover in the trees while hiding our flag. Honey was close to tears and Tamaki was by his side, patting his back in an attempt to comfort him.

" Don't worry Senpai. We'll beat them." Hikaru said confidently.

" How can you be so sure?" I questioned.

Right on cure, he held up a couple of water guns filled to the brim.

" They shouldn't expect this, should they?" His voice had a mischievous tone. He chucked one at me which I only just manage to catch in time.

" True but you know Kyoya-senpai. He has something hidden up his sleeve. He always does." I said.

Then I turned around to see Tamaki and Honey with camouflage on. By camouflage Tamaki had a couple of branches with tiny leaves stuck either side of his head with a thick white band and Honey had a matching band with a few flowers in his hair, making him look cuter than he already did. Tamaki handed us the same bands and I tightly tie it around my head. Also, Hikaru did the same.

Instantly, I had an idea to tease Hikaru.

" Hey Hikaru."

As he turned his face towards me, I painted his face thin streaks of mud to resemble camo stripes. He flinched back after I completed my task. I laughed at his shocked face.

" What did you do that for?!" He shrieked at me.

" You need camouflage and it's payback for this morning."

" Are both teams ready?" Shouted Nanami as loud as she could.

" YES!" Replied both sides simultaneously.

Around me, Hikaru was ready for action and Honey and Tamaki had their eyes fixed on the other team. Relaxed, I place the water pistol down on the ground as I added a pair of camo stripes to my cheeks and I smiled in determination.

As Nanami placed the whistle and blew it to indicate the start of the game, I pick up the water gun and announced to the team, " Let the game begin!
