Chapter Five: Rainbow Jelly

Bubbles POV

'When you eat something good, you smile.' His words, My Prince, the one who saved me. I'll find him. In the school cafeteria!

I once again tried to give boomer something sweet, unfortunately it didn't work.

"Bubbles' Chestnut pie Have a bite." I said eagerly. He instantly said "No thanks" and then sneezed while I questionably said "what?"

"I'm sick and don't feel like eating. I'm going to my room" he said walking away "Hey….Boomer!" I yelled out to him, 'Geez' I thought to myself, behind me I could hear whispers "What? So she is after Boomer." They said " Trying to woo him with food" said another "That new student is a big faker"

Its been a week, yet I still feel like an outsider in my class

'still I wont give up! Not until I find my flan Prince.'

I went to the cafeteria after class and asked if I could…well Help "Huh? You want to help? No way" said the head chief. "Please sir! I'll do anything! Look! I can cook . Please try my pie! Its really god!" I said eagerly. "I told you no. We're going to have students here soon. Get out of here!"

I did as he said and once I was out I was greeted by a voice that sounded really familiar. "Wow! That Looks delicious." I turned to see Blossom standing right beside me. "Blossom." I said a bit confused.

" I was watching you just now. You want to work at the cafeteria?"

I let out a small laugh while saying " Yeah, but he totally rejected me."

She paused for a bit then smiled and turned to me once again " There's another cafeteria called the Four-Leafed Diner on the West side" she took out her notebook and started write stuff down.

"Four-Leafed Diner?" She continued to write as she nodded and said " Maybe you could help out there."

"Really?!" I said excitedly

She kept writing while saying " Hold on let me give a map"

"Thanks Blossom, you're so nice." She tore out the sheet and handed it to me "Its nothing, friends should help each other out." I nodded and walked off "Thanks Blossom!" I said again as I ran off to look for the diner.

Normal Pov

As Bubbles left in search for the other cafeteria, Blossom stood looking at her as she left. "Idiot" she said in a low voice while sticking out her tongue.

Bubbles, on the other hand was on her way to the cafeteria. She was looking down at the map Blossom had made for her "p-past the bushes and then…" she looked up and saw a small restaurant titled Four-leafed Diner.

'T-this? This is the Four-leafed Diner?' she thought to herself as she walked towards it. Bubbles slowly opened the door "Hello?" She said while walking in cautiously "Whoa, the inside is worn out too" she turned around when she heard movement and jumped back a bit with an "Eeek!".

When she looked a bit closer she saw a boy with dark red or orange hair "Who's there?" he said

"and what the hell do you want!" came another voice. Bubbles shuffled back a little mumbling words.

"um no I umm uh" She stepped back a bit and thought' but this is the only place I can….there's no other cafeteria' Bubbles gathered her courage 'if I can get students to come here….' she thought once more then looked up with determination "Please let me help!" She said "Help?" One, the red head, said indifferently "You can't without the bosses and the directors approval" said the other voice "I'll get approval later." Bubbles held out the pie while saying "I'll do anything please!" The red head looked bored for a second. He wiped a bit of frosting off the pie and hmm-ed, for a second he stayed quiet "Okay" He said after a while. "What?!" The other voice said, as it came closer to Bubbles. A boy with spiked raven hair, came out of the shadows " Heh. Anything?~" He said almost mockingly. The red head glared at him as he said "None of your stupid perverted games Butch." The Raven just groaned annoyingly "Geez, I was only Kidding Brick" They both walked over to Bubbles and said in unison "Then lets see what you can do"

Bubbles stood speechless for a bit, then grinned happily. "Really?" she said, and they nodded their heads, then the red head, Brick, said "First let's have you wash the dishes." he grinned while looking at her expression. "W-what?" she said as Butch., the raven, pushed her to the kitchen. "Yep~ Off you go" he said

'Maybe I didn't think this through.' she said to herself as she washed the dishes with a small pout. "H-how did you two get so many dishes piled up!?" She asked annoyed. They Grinned while reading some comic books and said in unison "I wonder~" she sighed and kept washing the dishes. After about an hour she was almost done. Butch was making something in the kitchen while Brick was setting a table. Bubbles looked at them a bit confused. Brick seeming to sense her confusion, said " A customer is coming" Bubbles looked even more confused then said "Huh? You get customers here too?"

"No duh!" Said Butch, almost cutting her sentence.

Brick sighed and nodded his head "Yeah, Everyday at six" he said, ignoring Butch's last comment.

The small bells at the door rang and Bubbles turned to see President Blaze walk in.

"p-president B-blaze…." she said more to myself than others. Butch handed her a small teacup "Here" He said simply. Bubbles looked down at the teacup and asked "What? Only Coffee?" She then looked toward Brick who simply waved her off. "There's no menu?" she asked again

"Its fine" Said Brick

"He never orders any food anyways" Says Butch

Bubbles nods and walks over to the table "Here you go" she says, as President Blaze looks up; shocked. "Bubbles!?" He says "w-why are you here?" he asked, stuttering a bit

Bubbles smiles and says "I'm going to be helping out here. Though it's still a trial period."

"Helping…?" He says

Bubbles nods and looks down while speaking "I'm not fitting in my class,…. So…I wanted to be useful to the school." Bubbles looks back up and smiles " and I don't have other skills other than cooking." she lets out a giggle while thinking 'I'll keep the truth a secret…'

President Blaze picks up the tea cup and slowly brings it up to his lips. "I see,,," he says

"Would you like anything in particular, President Blaze? It is dinner time" Bubbles smiled and continued "I'll make you anything" President Blaze shook his head while taking out a pair of small containers. "No Thank you." He said. "I have these" He opened then taking one pill from each before closing them again.

"Supplements? " she muttered "Is that…. all you take… everyday? " she asked a bit confused.

He nodded his head and placed both in his mouth. And as he swallowed them said" Yeah. I have a meeting after this. I don't have any time"

Bubbles stood there shocked for a while, when her thought came back she said "But you're here, at the cafeteria."

"I came here out of habit" He says and sips his coffee " There used to be a lot of students here. The jelly dessert was great." He takes another sip and continues " I used to come here with Boomer when we were kids." He stopped, as if he were thinking back "That would never happen now." He sipped his coffee again and said "Now… the chef's changed and there's nothing I want to eat. Besides…" He sipped his coffee and said "Eating is a hassle" he stood up after, leaving the tea cup on the table. "but…" Bubbles says before he put a small snack into her mouth, making her stop an start chewing "You said you don't belong in the special class, but… you cook so well." He looked at her and smiled "You're amazing, you need to be more confident" He smiled one last time, before turning around and leaving the diner. Bubbles watches him leave with a sorrowful expression "President Blaze…" She mutters.

"Hey!" says Butch, breaking her out of thoughts. "wake up!" he continues. Brick comes out of the cafeteria with a long metal case. "You need to make a delivery" he says. Bubbles looks at both of them confused. "Delivery? You do that too?!" The two raise their brows then nod their heads. "Boomer Miller, Dorm room 303" She nods her head, then takes the case and heads over to the dorms. 'that's right' she thinks to herself 'Boomer did say he wasn't feeling good…" She get to the room and knocks, but there's no answer. " Is he not home?" she wonders then tries opening the door, and it does. "It's open" She mutters then walks in, she stops in her tracks when she see's Boomer half dressed and putting on a shirt. Bubbles Blushes then looks shocked and closes the door quickly. "Wha- what are you doing here!?" he asks, flushing bright scarlet as he finished getting dressed. "Where's that bastard?!" he mutters to himself. Bubbles, still blushing bright red, says "I just started helping out at Four-Leafed Diner"

After the two got passed their blush, Boomer let Bubbles in. She set the case down on the table and opened it. "Here's your porridge" She says while setting down the hot bowl of porridge. "How's your cold?" She asks after. Boomer takes the spoon and digs it in and blows on it while saying "Good." He ate its contents " I sweated a little and got better" Bubbles thought for a moment before saying "But… aren't you lonely when you're sick?" She pondered "Why don't you….." She smiled then leaned closer to him "Why don't you have president Blaze keep you company?" Boomer almost chocked on his food as she said that but swallowed then sighed. "Yeah right!" He said while turning to her "I'd rather die than have him over!" Bubbles looked at him shocked "But why? You two are brothers!" Boomer looked up at her once more "It doesn't matter" He looked away while glaring at the wall in front of him "He's a traitor, you wouldn't understand" then he continued eating. Bubbles looked at him with disbelief 'But…they're bothers,.. They're family…" She stood still for a bit, thinking of her options. She then thought of an idea and turned to Boomer who was calmly sipping his soup. "Boomer!" She yelled, catching his attention "Come to the three leafed diner tomorrow at six alright?" Tshe then turned and sped-walked to the door and stepped out "It's a promise alright?" then left before he could answer, leaving Boomer awestruck "w-wait,... what?" he muttered ; confused.

"magic?" Mumbled a younger looking Bubbles. Ms Lulu nodded her head "Yes" she said "There's magic in making food taste good." Bubbles was cleaning and fixing up the diner rembering the words from her caretaker. "It's very simple, but sometimes very key is-" As soon as Bubbles finished she went home and had a good nights rest. the next day, right after classes had ended, she practiced making something for the boys.

At six o'clock sharp. both boys were at the entrance of the dinner. Boomer glared at his brother mumbling a "why..." Blaze looked at him with a pokerface. "Why are you here?! Said Boomer. Blaze Shrugged "Why are you?" He answered back. Boomer glared at him once more before turning around and starting to walk away. "Oh? So you're running away because I'm here? You're such a child." Justas Boomer was about to retort , the clicked and opened. Bubbles stepped out in a blue maids dress with a huge smile on her face "You both came! I was waiting for you two! " She said while grinning. She stepped out and pushed both boys into the diner "Here! come in!" She said Boomer muttered a "hey...!" which went unheard by Bubbles . Both boys glaced up, finding no other option and stood, awe struck. "Welcome!Please, come this ways" Bubbles said while motioning to a table. The two looked around. The place had been cleaned and set! There were countless tables, each with 2 or more chairs." Is this the same Diner?" Wondered Blaze as he looked around and up at the ceiling. Bubbles giggled as she walked over with a tray holding three things covered in a napkin. She set it down on the table they were sitting at. " Atmosphere is key to any dining experience." She said and as she sat the first one down "So I rearranged this place to look like my home in Viotown." She sat the second one down and smiled. The boys looked at them curiously "What's this?" Asked Boomer. Bubbles giggled then said "A special desert to celebrate the refurbished diner! You can take the ribbon off now~" and so they did. each pulling one of the strings of the ribbon.

"I don't know what happened between them... but I hope that today..a rainbow will connect the earth and the sky"

The turn pulled off the ribbon and showed a glass cup with jelly of different colors stacked inside it. a spoon clattered onto the table, leaving both boy awe struck at the deret in front of them. "Rainbow Jelly" Boomer stated while looking at the desert. "Please eat!" Bubble said, breaking the silence that had emerged "It has a lot of fruit so there are a lot of vitamins in it! You can eat it when you're sick or if you don't have time~!" Both boys glanced at eachother then dug the spoon into the glass cup. The brought it up to their lips and took a bite. Bubbles watched with anxiety. They tasted the desert then swallowed. at the same time they stated "it's good!" Boomer blushed while Blaze chuckled amusly. "I thought you didn't like sweet things~" Cued Blaze. Boomer's blush brightened as he muttered "you, too." Blaze chuckled once more "When we were young, you'd always take my desert~" Boomer blushed bright [if possible] and almost yelled "Why are yah bringing that up now!?" The two then ate their desert. "Did you want to take this too~? " Blaze mocked while eating his. "No!" Stated Boomer as he tried to finish his. Bubbles watched the two, an amused smile on her face.

"There's magic in making food taste good. The Key is, to eat with someone important."

Hello! I am so so so so sorry!

I feel horrible for not updating this sooner ;~;

-sighs- I've been in a huge bind for days!

need tah finish the school portfolio~ [i'm a HS senior~]

Which I should've started since the beginning of this school year.

Then there was a project of the Aztec for spanish and ,... yeah ^^'

I promise to update once a week from now on! How does every saturday sound? :)
