The final wish of a father
Starrk found himself helpless within the grasp of Sosuke Aizen, and he glared coldly at the brown eyed man holding him by his throat. His body was sore and aching all over, multiple injuries slowing him down and draining his energy making it hard for him to fight. While Ichigo and his family had gone to destroy Aizen's mansion, they had found themselves at the mercy of the previous Feudal Lord's army of about ten percent of his entire army was normal hybrids, the rest were freaks created by science whose abilities were unknown and their actions completely unpredictable.
The king of Pantera himself was struggling with Aizen's ally Barragan. He'd been able to force the man into releasing his Resureccion, only to find that the Resureccion was one of the strongest one to ever exist. He couldn't get close to his opponent no matter how much he tried, because every time he neared that dissolving fog would lash out at him, making everything around it wither and crumble into dust.
Grimmjow was tired and breathing heavily, having stubbornly refused to reveal his Resureccion. Both armies on either side were nearly completely annihilated, but still Aizen's army was larger in numbers and strength. The only men remaining on their side were the strongest and most experienced generals which included Kenpachi, Ikakku, Yumichika, Harribel, Szayelaporro, Nnoitra, Neliell, Ylfordt, Toshiro, Yammy, Zommari along with the King and his Guard. Currently the remaining subordinates on both sides refrained from fighting, simply watching as their leaders brawled in the middle of the field in which the entire battle leading to the current duels had occurred.
"Come on Ichigo, we need you right now!" Starrk thought desperately as his vision began to blur and dizziness settled deep within him as his windpipe was crushed by Aizen's grip. Before he passed out completely he thought he heard terrified yelling and the pained cries of dying warriors from behind Aizen, and with that he blacked out with a smile. His call had been heard and his loved ones had come, he could take a nap with a good conscience.

Grimmjow could only watch in awe as Barragan halted his assault to look at the complete slaughter of what remained of his army. Blue blades of pure reiatsu shook the army slicing the men in two like they were nothing but ragdolls and the few generals left were absolutely confused as to where the attack had come from.
When the dust cloud which followed the brutal assault settled, five black shadows could be seen. When the clouds let the sun shine once again it was clear to the battling sides who the individuals were. In front stood the three proud leaders of the once mighty Shiba clan, each of the three men standing with intimidating swords pointed straight at the two who had dared declare war upon their kingdom and family. Aizen had long since let go of Starrk's body and he turned to the three with an amused glance.
"Shiba Isshin, what a pleasant surprise. And if it isn't my two most priced fighters I see at your side," Aizen hummed in a way to pleased tone as he eyed the three with a smirk.
Ichigo and Shiro visibly shuddered at the tone Aizen used when he referred to them, baring their teeth at the man with a snarl in answer. The man laughed warmly at their reaction before relaxing his pose, appearing to have no worries at all.
"That arrogant bastard," Kaien hissed from behind the three, Ulquiorra staying as silent as ever.
Ichigo scanned the battlefield and a pained expression filtered across his face at the amount of casualties which he could see. So many of the most loyal soldiers he'd ever known lay brutally slain upon the dry ground, their blood moistening it and turning it crimson. He closed his eyes and let his Reiatsu flood all over the place in a subtle manner, sighing loudly in relief when he felt Grimmjow and Toshiro's exhausted but still strong reiatsu.
Finding Starrk's reiatsu proved to be harder, and it was but a faint thrum when he finally found it. Ichigo's eyes widened and he zeroed in on the location in which the reiatsu was strongest and his eyes barely caught sight of a man in white armor lying motionless on the ground a few hundred meters away from Aizen.
"Starrk!" Ichigo cried out in distress and before anyone could stop him he had disappeared from view, his shunpo so quick none could follow it.
Reappearing at Starrk's side the wolf was immediately in Ichigo's arms, the cheetah frantically searching for anything life threatening upon his mate. It didn't take long for Shiro to join his brother and they were both embracing the fallenguard, their frames shaking violently with pent up anger. A roar of fury left both of their maws, before they united their reiatsu and pushed it into Starrk's exhausted body.
Aizen watched with curiosity as an eerie glow emerged and covered the fallen warrior. He was mildly shocked however when seconds later the wolf hybrid rose, his body healed and his reiatsu back at full strength. Even his broken Resureccion Los lobos reformed at Starrk's hip, and cold electric grey eyes full of confidence and strength gazed upon him again.
"Retreat Starrk, we'll be handling it from here," Ichigo said sternly, Shiro pushing the older hybrid behind them.
"There's no way I can let you go out alone!" Starrk snarled only to have two pairs of eyes pinning him to the spot, the twins' vicious aura swirling around him dangerously.
"You have done more than enough Starrk, go rest. This is not up for discussion," Ichigo growled before shunpoing over to Grimmjow who had used the confusion to his advantage and put a safe distance between him and the aged king of Hueco Mundo.
A hand landed upon his shoulder and immediately he felt familiar and warm Reiatsu rush into his body combining with his own, and he felt all his injuries mending themselves within the span of mere seconds.
"Arigato koi," Grimmjow said with a smirk and got it returned by Ichigo. Grimmjow placed a hand on Ichigo's shoulder before turning deadly eyes upon Aizen.
-time-
"Kyoka Suigetsu" Aizen muttered and smirked at the charging Isshin.
The Shiba clan leader charged forward, Engetsu's blade engulfed in flames raised high held low guarding his midsection as he moved in for a deadly blow. His eyes narrowed when he heard Aizen utter the name of his Zanpakuto and instantly his senses sharpened tenfold to prepare for Aizen's ability. He knew it was complete hypnosis and fully realized he could very well be writing his own death by continuing his assault. He'd already gazed upon the blade's shikai once, so he had no qualms about charging.
He had always known he would die in his attempt to avenge his family, and the only regret he would have in death would be leaving his children behind. However he had no problems entrusting the last of their clan to his sons, knowing they would lead the few Shiba left living without fail. He had complete faith in his offspring and he knew that if he failed they would avenge him and their mother with success.
The Soul King had blessed him and his wife with the two pairs of twins, and he knew that Shiro and Ichigo were hybrids of divine power granted by their god. He had noticed the change in his sons when they restored their links, realizing they had tapped into their true forms and strength once their aura had weighed down upon and Barragan didn't know what would be coming their way, and he wished them a cruel and merciless death upon the blades of his family.
What Isshin did not know however was that his wish to die upon Aizen's blade would not be granted, but even still he charged forward his blade running through Aizen's body, or so he thought.
Ichigo watched as his dad ran Engetsu through a dead soldier and he fought to hold back the tears threatening to spill forth from his eyes. Grimmjow noticed the distress in his mate's eyes, and a short distance away Starrk noticed the distress reflected in Shiro's aura as well.
"Koi?" Grimmjow said in a soft voice but Ichigo did not answer, his gaze kept stern upon his father his entire posture stiff and clearly agitated.
The blue haired King nearly jumped out of his own skin when Shiro appeared before him to stand at Ichigo's side, his posture and aura a complete mirage of Ichigo's. When they saw Isshin take a fatal blow in his stomach they flinched but made no move to help their father. Kaien had been about to rush in but he had felt the twins aura weigh down upon him even though they stood on opposite sides of the battlefield and he had halted his advance, tears prickling in his eyes at the command hidden behind that suffocating aura. He was not to interfere and it pained his heart having to stand back and watch his leader fight a losing battle, yet he understood the young heirs fully and he was intent on respecting Isshin's wishes too.
Ulquiorra who stood by his side could see the anguish in Kaien's eyes and he offered silent support and understanding through a heavy hand upon his shoulder. From behind Ichigo and Shiro Kenpachi and company eyed the battle with respect, knowing not to interfere. They were all kneeling in respect of the Shiba leader as they watched him fighting a battle which he knew would end in his demise. Isshin Shiba had the honor, courage and reason of a true warrior, fighting to protect from beginning till end willingly giving up his life to ensure the safety of his kin.
They watched as Isshin took on his strongest form which was that of a humanoid cheetah, lashing out in calm rage for the former Feudal Lord but missing all the same, yet another corpse marred by his claws. His body was littered with injuries and golden fur was dyed crimson as injury upon injury was dealt by an enemy Isshin couldn't see. Grimmjow and Starrk suddenly noticed a change in Shiro's and Ichigo's posture and aura.
"We won't let you die without at least landing one blow otosan," they stated silently.
"You who blessed us with this life shall not greet our mother with shame," they then said before plopping down to sit cross legged.
From somewhere else Barragan kept observing the children of the man currently fighting a losing battle against his ally, and his gaze narrowed when he felt a change in the two, noticing that they sat down cross legged upon the crimson soil.
Ichigo and Shiro shared a look before determination entered their gaze, and with a nod they did a series of seals with their hands before concentrating their reiatsu around their spirit centers, chanting a few select mantras the power in their words striking deep within the souls of their followers as they spoke in a divine language.
"By the power granted us through our birth by the Soul King, let us aid our sire and clear his mind of any obstacles," they roared after their chants ended a pure and divine light answering their prayer and engulfing their forms.
Barragan's eyes widened together with Aizen's when Isshin's elongated claws struck the traitorous lord, a threatening wound splaying across his chest as Isshin was freed of the hypnosis the very same divine light which engulfed his sons now caressing his own being. He could feel his heart and soul being cleansed of darkness and he felt the weight of his god upon his shoulder.
"You have served me well Shiba Isshin, it is time I grant you the right to reunite with your fallen mate. Do what you feel obliged to, but let your sons decide this wretched heathen's fate my child," the voice of the Soul King whispered within Isshin's mind.
With new resolve Isshin charged for Aizen, his vision clear due to his children's help. With a final roar he threw himself forward piercing Aizen's block, tears slipping from his eyes as he finally drove his sword through the brown eyed man's chest. With that Ichigo and Shiro dispelled the magic having felt the content in their sire's soul, and with a mournful smile they awaited their father's death.
However an outraged cry spilt from their lips when the one to take their sire's life ended up not being Aizen, but Barragan who simply touched Isshin dooming him to rot away by the power of his Resureccion. But before Isshin's body could rot away a spectral figure appeared before Barragan and divine power trapped the corrosive substance and kept it from marring their sire's form.
"Okasan," Shiro and Ichigo whispered solemnly, tears in the corner of their eyes as she stared Barragan down, refusing to let her mate die such a horrible death.
Grimmjow and Starrk watched in awe and respect as their mate's mother changed into a proud eagle and carried her fallen mate to their children's side. She carefully laid their father down, her claws releasing his body before she changed back to her human shape, the eagle wings still sprouting from her back.
The twins purred when their mother smiled gently at them, her warm hands embracing them both. Kissing them both on their cheeks she knelt by their father and once again looked to her eldest children. The King and his guard along with everyone else on their side watched as a spectral image of Isshin emerged from the body. He rose up and smiled at his mate embracing her warmly before turning together with her to their sons.
"Take care of and raise Karin well, or else I'll haunt your dreams my sons. Make us and the former members of our clan proud,"Isshin's otherworldly voice boomed and the twins looked at their parents with tear stricken eyes.
"It is time for you to guide me to where I can be with your kachan for eternity," he then said confusing Grimmjow and Starrk along with Toshiro who had joined them sometime after Ichigo and Shiro's chanting.
"The Soul King awaits our return my dear children. Live long and be strong like I know you are. Live your life the way you feel you should and protect the ones you hold dear my sons," Masaki said with a warm smile.
Ichigo looked at Shiro with a solemn face and received a nod from his older twin. With a proud aura and posture he rose from where he sat and walked calmly towards his dead, drawing forth Zangetsu. With a warm smile directed at his parents he knelt down by his father's body and pressed the end of Zangetsu's hilt to his forehead. The chains binding Isshin to his body dissolved and his father's spectral form became transparent like their mothers.
"This is goodbye for now our children," Masaki and Isshin said in unison as their forms began crumbling away.
"Okasan, Otosan, arigato," Ichigo and Shiro said. "Wait for us," they added before their parents disappeared completely.
"Ichigo?" Toshiro voiced, his tone filled with worry and sadness as he approached his mate.
"I am fine koi," Ichigo said giving Toshiro a warm gaze."It is time for us to rid the world of that vile heathen Shiro," Ichigo stated and his brother only grunted in agreement.
"Bankai, Tenza Zangetsu," Ichigo whispered, his form engulfed by black reiatsu.
Out from the dust cloud a beautiful obsidian Katana appeared, Ichigo's body free of any armor the only thing remaining a simpler version of his battle outfit with torn edges and a crimson inside. At Ichigo's side Shiro had undergone the same transformation engulfed by white reiatsu with crimson edges, his appearance much the same only with a white Katana and a form fitted white kimono with split tails and white hakama held up with a black and Shiro crossed their Zanpakuto and held their breaths before slowly releasing it, their reiatsu becoming dense and compact as it coated their beings.
"Jōshō, Shiro no hogo sha," Ichigo called out in unison with Shiro who said "Jōshō, Kuro no hogo sha."
Grimmjow, Starrk and Toshiro observed as the twins underwent yet another transformation. They watched in awe at what appeared from the second cloud of dust. Before them stood Ichigo, his figure much taller and muscled, a huge hole situated right in the middle of his chest. From the hole crimson red lines reached out across his shoulders and up his neck disappearing beneath the hem of a bone mask.
The lines reappeared at the front of the mask, starting at the jaw and crossing over the eyes and up to the middle of the forehead where they ended. Long orange hair danced with the wave of reiatsu which gushed forth from his body, and golden eyes lit up behind the mask. Fingers stretched out to show deadly black talons, cuffs of red fur adorning his wrists and ankles, as well as forming a collar around his neck.
A long tail sprouted from his back which whipped back and forth furiously, and mist erupted from between the jagged teeth of Ichigo's mask. Deadly horns shot out from just above his ears, expanding out in an angled bow before jutting forward. At his side stood Shiro, his form the exact same only with a black mask with white stripes, and black stripes upon his chest instead of red. The fur was also black, and he looked just as intimidating as his brother. Both held their Bankai's and they shared yet another look before nodding.
Grimmjow and company thought they were done transforming and were shocked to see their bodies morphing yet again in front of them. Ichigo and Shiro changed into their anthromophorbic form, and on the sidelines the crowd watched as their Resureccion changed to accommodate the new form better. Their masks stretched to fit their feline faces snugly, but the bottom jaw disappeared in favor of making the bone form a half mask instead of a full one. The horns remained but were thinner and not as angled as earlier, and their hair became a short mane which changed into a long pony tail like appendage between their shoulder blades.
The fur took over for white lizard skin, and the tough lizard hive turned into bony armor which protected the vital parts of the twins' bodies. The bone also formed elongated and extremely deadly casings upon their already existing claws, extending their reach and strengthening them. A deadly blade adorned their tail, while the bone formed a protective spine with deadly spikes along their back. Their arms and feet were protected by guards made of bone, and the claws on their feet had gotten the same equipment as the ones on their hands.
The final change was that the twins let their wings grow, the feathered appendages fanning out behind them making them look even bigger and more intimidating than before. In their hands their Bankai's rested, and the twins were finally ready to face Aizen. "It is time to avenge our slain family," Shiro and Ichigo whispered in unison, their link even stronger than before as they began walking calmly towards Aizen and Barragan, their aura fearless and determined.
Aizen watched with interest and little fear as the two twins approached him, Barragan standing just as calmly by his side. They had yet to feel the full force of the twin's reiatsu, and so they did not yet comprehend the full range of their opponent's powers. Aizen was confident that the power he had gained through his research would be more than enough to defeat the two approaching him.
He'd always known the twins were special and that they could pose a threat to him one he had slain their family in order to force the two to grow, capturing them later on to test their strength. Until this very day he had thought their strength was above average and yes he had not expected the change which had happened right before his eyes.
Yet his arrogance allowed him to underestimate the two heading for him with such a confident stride for after all he believed his own power to be transcendent, even going as far as to believe he was stronger than any god in existence. But Aizen was a fool who believed he understood the divine and could overpower it. His treachery had been allowed for far too long, and now the god he claimed to surpass had finally decided to take care of the wretched child which he himself had forged the soul for.
Aizen's soul had been a pure soul, but he had been a curious one as well. In his search for knowledge he had come across a legend known as the hogyoku, a gem said to contain a piece of the Soul King himself which could grant the owner the power of a divine being. Aizen had become obsessed with the thought of transcending his position as a Soul Guardian and surpass even the mightiest god, and so he had started to pick apart the contract in which the Soul King had forged between humans and animals, solely for the purpose of gaining absolute power.
The Soul King had hoped his child would come to realize that what he was trying to accomplish would be impossible, but the boy had not relented. And so he had started experimenting, and many a man and woman has suffered a cruel end at his hand all for the sake of his research and experiments. Thus he had decided to grant two of his other children Masaki and Isshin children of mixed breeds.
He had let the woman birth her mate two sons, even though she should not have been able to since she and her mate was of completely opposite species. Masaki was a child of the sky, while Isshin was a child of the earth yet he had allowed their unison to result in four beautiful children. And now he could watch those children rid the world of a wretched soul, and he was proud of his two very special creations knowing they would serve him and their world well. At his side stood Masaki and Isshin, observing their children with just as much pride as he himself did. And then Ichigo and Shiro began their assault.

Yeah guys, I have brought you an update. I wasn't lying when I said this story wasn't over ;) I know I haven't been very detailed with the fighting but I figured it would be fun to leave the battles to become a product of your own imagination. I wanted you to picture how the battles occurred yourselves, because I know I love to do so myself XD Anyways, it might take a month or two for the next update but who knows? I might suddenly get an urge to update this within that time, so I can't really say when the next update will come :P Anyways, hope you liked this chapter..
Review please!
