I've had this idea for a while and this is my first VA fanfic so please, try and be nice! This chapter was changed a bit but whatever! Hope everyone likes it!

Lissa's POV

I looked up at Rose, smiling. My hair fell in my face, hiding my green eyes. She smiled rashly at me then asked, "Hey, Liss, have you been having fun with Chrissy?" She asked, her eyes sparkling in amusement.

I blushed slightly, "Rose, isn't that really weird to ask someone?"

"It's a conversation, isn't it?" She asked, laughing at me.

"He took me to dinner last night." I answered quickly, looking away and smiling slightly when Christian took my hand as he sat down. I twined my fingers with his and looked at Rose. "And Dimitri and you?" I asked, hoping it would be something normal- not likely for her and Dimitri since they haven't seen each other for a semester.

"You don't wanna know,, Liss." She shook her head, laughing and looking across the table at Dimitri.

Christian smirked, noticing that my conversation with Rose had ended, "Liss... How was Lehigh?" He asked- between everything else we'd talked about at, this had oddly never gotten brought up.

"It was great, sweetie..." I smiled and took my fork in my hand quickly, taking a quick bite of my food.

Suddenly, a quiet voice spoke up from the end of the table, "Lissa? Do you know where Adrian?"

I looked up to see Jill watching me curiously. I looked at where Adrian was supposed to sit and saw and empty space. "I don't know, I'll go check his room." I smiled and started to leave.

"Liss, do you want me to come with you?" Rose asked.

I laughed, "No, Rose. I'm just going to Adrian's room. It's close."

I walked down the hall, hugging myself as I went past a courtyard and arrived at Adrian's room. I knocked lightly on the door. When there was no answer, I opened the door and poked my head in. "Adrian?"

The room was dark. I saw a bundle on the bed. I walked over to the bed and put my head on the bundle, "Adrian, wake up." I lightly shook the body and then pulled down the covers. "Adrian..." I screamed when I saw what was there.

A dead woman, her throat bloody, blue eyes dead. Her blonde hair was splayed across the pillow. I knew her- Evalyn Zeklos. Jesse's aunt. I pulled back and turned, seeing that the bathroom light was on.

Adrian's going to be dead too, isn't he? I walked towards the bathroom. I could see Adrian's back through the door. "Adrian?" He was standing.

"Yes?" He answered, not turning. Something was wrong with his voice but I ignored it- he's still broken up about Rose. I shouldn't be to hard on him.

"Adrian, are you going to come to dinner with us?"

A soft laugh, "No, I don't think I will..." He turned and I gasped. He had the brilliant red eyes of a Strigoi, his skin deathly white. "I think you'll be coming with me."

He was suddenly in front of me, taking my shoulders. "Goodnight, Queen Dragomir."

Everything went dark.

Rose's POV

I sighed, waiting for Lissa to return with Adrian. It was taking much to long so, after much Rose Hathaway debate, I decided I should go make sure she's alright. I stood and told the others I was going to the bathroom, walking down the hall, wondering where Adrian's room was.

Soon, I found a room, the door open wide. I poked my head on and when I saw three whiskey bottles, I knew it was Adrian's room. "Hey, Liss, Adrian? Where are you guys?" I looked around, walking to the bed and seeing a Moroi girl laying on the bed, dead. "No..."

"Adrian! Liss!" I frantically searched the rest of the room then realized no one alive was here except me. "Oh, no..." I tried to calm myself so I wouldn't be rash and dangerous. I took a deep breath, steadying myself, keep calm, keep calm...

So, because of that, I almost jumped out of my skin when the phone rang. I pulled my hair into a messy bun quickly and took the phone, pressing it against my hair.

"Hello?"

"Rosemarie..." The voice that answered was cold and smooth. And Adrian's.

I waited for a minute, processing everything. Then it all clicked- the dead Moroi, Lissa not here, the cold voice on the phone. "You're a Strigoi." I whispered, knowing if I was right, it was all my fault.

"I always thought you were so smart Rose..." His voice suddenly turned bitter (something I've never heard with a Strigoi), "I bet you prefer to be called Roza, don't you little dhampir?"

I groaned- I was right. He's turned. And taken Lissa- making him the enemy. "Adrian, what the hell did you do?"

"I'm having a little fun, what's wrong with that?" He laughed, "Rose... I have Lissa- I guesss you already know that, don't you?"

"Adrian, give her back!" I yelled, my anger rising- Lissa shouldn't be part of this. Adrian's anger was between him and me.

"How about a trade?" This was what he called me for.

I looked away from the phone, mulling over the idea. "What is it?"

"You for her. You alone. Or I'll kill her."

I looked down- if I was selfish I would say no. But I wasn't- I'd give everything for Lissa.

"Fine, Adrian."
