Chapter Eighteen
Fitz came back from the police station and was still mad. He told Olivia and Abby the police couldn't do anything for phone calls or flowers, that Jake would have to be physically breaking the restraining order for them to arrest him. He left the living room and made his way to the nursery to see the babies.
"Liv, I am going to head out since Fitz is back. If you need anything let me know." Abby said hugging her goodbye.
Olivia walked into the nursery and Fitz was rocking Baylee while the boys still were asleep. "What do you want to do for dinner babe? I think maybe it is time we venture out and take these kids out and show the world how beautiful they are."
"That sounds like a good idea Liv. Let me get Tom on board with it and we can head out. We need to feed the kiddos first?" Fitz asked Olivia but was making faces at Baylee trying to get her to coo or something at him.
"Yes, they should be ready in about an hour so I am going to go pump and then we can feed them. So put little miss in her basinet and go get ready." Olivia says pointing her finger out of the nursery to the hallway.
"Okay daddy's favorite girl, Momma is making me put you down. I know you are going to cry but mean ol mom is making me do it." Fitz said kissing Bylee's cheeks.
"HEYYYY! 1. I thought I was your favorite girl but since that torch has been passed to our little beauty I will accept that and 2. Don't be so sure she will cry and 3. Momma is the nice one that feeds her and she knows it!" Olivia said slapping his butt as he walked out of the room.
"Now Liv, don't start something you know we can't finish."
"Grant, it won't be much longer, I promise."
they made their way to their favorite mexican restautant and since they were regulars the owner sat them in the back so they had a little privacy and not so much attention on the three little buddles. Some of the wait staff came by and said how gorgeous they all were. After they ate they were sitting there.
"Fitz, I don't think I want to go back to work."
Fitz looked at her and sat his drink down. "Liv, you know I will support whatever you want to do." Fitz saw tears in her eyes and grabbed her hand "Hey...hey, why the tears?"
"Because I am The Olivia Pope-Grant and what does that say about me that I give up my career so easily?"
"baby, are you giving it up so easily? I don't think so and why do you care? If you choose to stay at home, I think that is for our children and if we agree on that then it doesn't matter what people think about The Olivia Pope-Grant does concerning her career. I love and support whatever you decide. Let me ask you this, why have you made this decision or thinking about it?"
Olivia looked down at their hands intertwined, "Today, I was looking at the kids and they are changing so much everyday and I don't want to miss anything. I started thinking what if I am in court one day and they roll over or sit up and God forbid I miss their first steps, I would never get that back and I don't want to ever miss that."
"I love you so much Olivia. I will support you in whatever you want to do. If you change your mind in two months and want to go back I will be okay with that too okay. The most important thing in my life is you and those three right there." Fitz said bringing her hand to his mouth to place a kiss on it.
They made their way outside and were stopped by Tom at the door.
"What is is Tom?" Fitz said moving in front of Olivia and moving the two boys he was holding back through the doors.
"It is Mr. Ballard Sir, he has been sitting over on the other side of the road a few cars down. At first I didn't realize it was him but scanning around the area I noticed. I have called my buddy at the station and he is on the way."
"Take the boys please. I am going over there."
Tom grabbed the boys since Fitz was shoving them at him before he could stop him. He started walking towards the car and Jake turned the car on but he wasn't quick enough to pull off. Fitz grabbed him out of the seat and threw him onto the pavement and just started hitting him in the face. Tom was running towards him as Olivia was stuck inside of the restaurant watching all of this unfold in front of her.
The police arrived and pulled them apart with Toms help and handcuffed both Fitz and Jake. The officers were talking to both of them and Tom. Tom explained about the restraining order and that when he saw him sitting across the street he called the police immeditaley but when Fitz and Olivia came out he couldn't stop Fitz from running over to Jake.
Tom made his way back to Olivia who was crying and trying to calm Braxton. "Mrs. Grant, they are arresting both of them. I am going to take you home and then I will go bail him out. Come on lets get you home."
Olivia cried all the way home and called Abby back over on the way home. Once Tom helped her in the house with the babies he left when Abby got there and headed for the police station.
Abby asked what happen and Olivia told her. "i hope he got some good hits in there, that asshole deserves it. It is worth the bail money in my opinion." Abby laughed giving Liv a hug trying to get her to stop crying.
"Abby, you are too much." she chuckled some. "I just hope this finally gets him locked up since he was breaking the order and the police saw him there and could arrest him. He is crazy Abs."
It was close to three in the morning before Fitz got home. Abby had went to sleep in the guest room aroung midnight and Olivia was up feeding the two boys when Fitz walked into the nursery.
"Hey baby." He was met with a half smile. "Sorry if I scared you. I just couldn't take it anymore. This man was not going to terrorize our lives anymore."
"He is probably going to press charges and then we will have to deal with that. Fitz, you are a lawyer, you have to be smart about this stuff."
"I am a father and husband first Olivia, and protecting my family is way more important than me being a lawyer." He got up from where he was knealing. "I am going to take a shower if you don't need help with the feeding."
"No, I got it, they are almost done. I will be in there by the time you are out." Olivia said looking up at him. He turned and before he could walk away she reached for his hand. " I love you"
"I love you too Liv."
When Fitz got out of the shower and came into the bedroom Olivia was already in the bed. He crawled in and pulled her towards him. "Liv, please don't be mad at me. I just am so tired of him dictating our lives."
Olivia turned around and looked at him in the eyes and then moved her head up to kiss him gently on the lips. "I am not mad babe, I was scared more than anything. If something would have happened to you tonight where would me and the kids be? We are a unit and the unit doesn't work if one of us is not here. Okay?'
Fitz kissed her back "Okay, the unit is always going to be together and me and you forever."
They fell asleep and slept until the three babes woke them up. "Fitz, what time is it?"
"ten thirty"
"WHAT? They slept seven hours last night."
"It looks that way honey. This might be a record for kids starting to sleep through the night."
"See, this is what I am talking about, they are growing up too fast babe." Olivia said as they made their way into the nursery. "i think we should move them back into our room for a while."
"No Olivia, we need a baby free zone in here, their things are all over the house and we are not having our room another room they take over. Plus they sleep better in the nursery and you know it."
Olivia gave him a pouty face but agreed.
After getting the kids fed they walked down and found Abby reading the paper and drinking coffee.
"Well, hello there slugger, I was wondering when you two were going to wake up."
"Hey Abby, thanks for coming over last night and keeping Liv company."
"You are welcome and you owe me some breakfast, I don't know how to cook anything."
"Can I get a cup of coffee first?" Fitz asked
"I guess. So, did you get a bitch in the joint?"
Olivia busted out laughing "Did you honey? I know the no sex thing may be getting to you by now,"
"You two are really funny."
They were finishing up breakfast and had the three babies talking to them.
"Okay guys, take this one from me and I am out of here. I need to be free from these three before I start thinking about having a baby."
Olivia spit out her drink "Lord, you should go."
As Abby left Tom walked in. "Good morning, have news on Ballard. He is still in custody and will remain until he sees the judge on Wednesday."
"Okay, thanks Tom. I guess you have a few days off. I am going to stay home until all this settles down with Liv. You are welcome to stay also but I want to give you the opportunity to takw a break as well." Fitz moved to clean the dishes up.
"If you don't mind, I will take the rest of the weekend off and come back on duty Tuesday."
Olivia and Fitz gave him the okay and said their goodbyes.
"So, what do you want to do today?" Olivia asked wrapping her arms around his waist.
"Liv, I would like to sit here and catch up on the DVR and play with my babies and just cuddle with you on the couch."
"that sounds like a great plan. Let me go pump and we will play with them a little while longer before we put them down for a nap. Then I think my handsome husband deserves some cuddle time and attention."
The three babies were asleep and Olivia ans lying inbetween Fitz's legs watching Game of Thrones that they had recorded. Suddenly Olivia was starting to feel a little horny but couldn't really do anything about it, so she decided to please Fitz and started to move down his legs.
"Liv. What are you doing?"
"Shhhhhh...I am going to show you how much I love you and since we can't be too intimate I want to do the next best thing." Olivia pulled down his sweat pants and took him into her mouth getting a groan out of him.
"Baby, that feels so good." Fitz said as he moved his hand into her hair.
Olivia moved up and down as Fitz started to moved his hips off the couch. He soon reached his climax and once he caught his breath he pulled her up to him and kissed her lips.
"I love you, thank you for that and when you are ready I am going to return the favor over and over again."
Olivia kissed him back. "i look forward to it Grant."
They stayed on the couch and drifted off to sleep finally feeling a peace.
On the other side of town Jake was getting some phone time. "Hey, the plan is going to happen sooner rather than later. Be ready when I give you a call with everything I need." He hung up the phone and smiled. "we will be a family Olivia."
