Baby Arizona

Chapter Thirteen

Alice Point of View

All of Bella's new dresses, shirts, and skirts were folded and hung in the closet and dresser drawers where they belonged. I sat on the chess table watching Bella flounce on the trampoline outside. Edward still wasn't back and it was nearing darkness. Esme was cooking Bells's dinner, Emmett and Rosalie were doing their usual, Carlisle was still at work at the new general hospital since we had moved, and Jasper was hunting and looking out for Edward. With him still having not texted me I am assuming that he has not seen Edward. Before he left he had said that he had detected distress from Edward in the days beforehand.

I snapped out of my thinking process which I could had sworn that I hadn't been in very long, and Bella had wandered off of the trampoline.

I ran out to the back yard, closed my eyes and inhaled deeply. I quickly walked in the direction of Bella that I smelt the strongest. Surprisingly I had walked a whole twenty-four feet before coming across little Bella. "Hey you, what are you doing wandering around? You could so easily get lost." I said as I scooped her up into my arms.

"Where's Edward?"

"I don't know honey, I don't know." It was all I could say. I took her upstairs to wash up before her dinner and was struck by a vision.

"She is in critical condition, they won;t let me do any of the medical procedures because of relationship status." Carlisle said in a stressed tone. Edward sat hunched over in his chair, his hands in his hair.

"Why did she go without me?" He sobbed, choking on the very words within himself.

"She just got her license, she probably wanted to do just one little thing independently." Jasper suggested.

"And look what happened!" Edward exclaimed. "She- she might not make it, for God's sake. Please save her, just let her live a little longer."

My jaw dropped, my body collapsed, what was going to happen to the little girl we all loved so much already, and even worse when was it going to happen? I sobbed so dryly as Esme came out from the kitchen. Rushing over she asked, "What's going on? Is anyone hurt?"

"No!" I sobbed. "No one, no one is hurt. I swear." I pushed my head back against the wall as my phone vibrated. The display window said it was Jasper.

It had been a week since my gut-wrenching vision, and nothing had happened. Edward was back within three days and Bella was defiantly happy to she him return. Bella sat watching the television as she ate her dinner tonight, the whole family came done and joined her in the living room.

"Since we have relocated we must assume our usual roles," Carlisle started. "Bella has been scored at a fifth grade learning level so she will be attending like-wise."

"I get to go to school?!" She sounded so excited.

"Yes baby, you get to go to school." Esme answered her quickly, as to let Carlisle continue.

"Alice since you look so young, and we want to keep an eye on Bella, you will be attending the same school since they house kindergarten through the ninth grade. You will be an eighth grader. Esme will be interning as a secretary, and librarian.

"Bella why don't you go upstairs, I'll be up in a little bt with your dessert." Edward said to avoid what I would say next.

After Bella had closed the door to her room I said, "Why do I have to be separate from Jasper?" I was genuinely upset. "We always go together, even when we saw he is a year older then me." It was going to be so hard o not act attracted to him at the point that I would have to know.

"It is what Bella needs to socialize like a normal young child should, shes already has a disadvantage with being smart and placed above her class." Carlisle said, and he had one hell of a point. "Since you could pass as a younger child, we could stay a slight bit longer, and you will be able to make sure Bella is always save so none of us gets secluded at home being a worry wort." The last statement was very much directed at Edward.

We all agreed on everything, and I left to hunt.

Running through the forest in the area we had in Canada, it was still snowy, but it was warmer and more populated then where we were in Alaska. I stopped at a small lake and jumped in I swam to the bottom and released my air. With my eyes open I could see everything in front of me. I got lost i my thoughts once again.

With it being my job to watch Bella at the school now, my vision bore more weight on my back. What if something does happen and I was supposed to save her I am going to be the thing standing between her, and harms way. And man was that a lot of pressure. Edward would be so torn if I let Bella succumb to peril in my presence.

We started school in five weeks, which meant that Jasper and I had four weeks away from her to enjoy each other and try our best to find any clues about Bella's birth parents. Jasper and I had Had an easy enough time tracking the mother up until about three years ago when she dropped off. That's where we have to pick her up and find her from there, in my opinion i didn't look very good.

I drifted around on the bottom of the lake for awhile longer and rose to the surface, and pulled myself into the air. I raced home quickly, and dried, and changed. Blocking my thoughts from Edward all the while, thinking about any and every hair product out there. I snuggled up to Jasper for we were leaving in the morning to look for more clues about Bella's mother.

So wow , yea I'm sorry it took so long but at least it is still be continued and not being discontinued! Am I right? Well, review it and let me know what you think. I can't wait to see your opinions, and yes I am back in business.
