Chapter 11
The silence was so strong you could hear a pin drop. I was so shocked, I almost fell over. Especially when all the hellhounds in the area bowed in front of me and said. "Master. We are so sorry for ignorance. From this day forward. We will follow you and you only."
I just stood there, looking over the bowing hellhounds, before I recovered and said in I guess doggy language. "You are forgiven. Leave now and never hurt anyone that is allied to the Olympians. Oh, and spread the word to every hellhound that they have a new master."
They all nodded and ran off in different directions, some even running in between the hunter's ranks. The hunter's didn't make a move, still in shock from me turning into a hellhound.
I know they saw many people turn into animal, but never hellhounds. When every monster was out of the hunter's camp, I concentrated on turning back to my human form. When completed, I looked down to see if I still had wounds. When I saw them, I immediately felt excruciating pain wash over my body. And with a mighty roar of pain, I blacked out.
When I woke up, I noticed three things. One: I was completely healed, refreshed and completely powered up.
Two: My body felt completely different, like I just ran 50 miles, did 200 push-ups, and did 500 sit-ups.
Three: I was surrounded by a mixture of reptiles and hellhounds.
I stood up and they all turned to me, waiting for orders. Since they couldn't understand each other, I decided to mix their two languages together, so that I didn't have to speak to them separately.
I started concentrating as the tug in my stomach started to intensify until it was unbearable then it went away. I opened my eyes and saw that all the monsters that surrounded me turned into piles of yellow dust.
My eyes widened in shock, I just killed all the reptiles and hellhounds in Mythology. To see if what I thought was true, I stretched my senses all across America and my heart sank as I found out that every reptile and hellhound were piles of ashes.
Almost immediately, Godric and Draco flashed in with furious expressions on their face. I thought they were just going to ground me or something, but what they said cut me to the bone.
"What have you done! You have just made me and my children useless. I'm just a immortal! You have put shame on our name! For that, I hereby declare you Nexus Achilles Jackson, not my son! I disown you!"
The silence that appeared when I turned into a hellhound was nothing compared to this silence. Suddenly, a red aura separated itself from me and dissipated. I then fell from the power loss and absence of a godly parent.
When I fell, the piles of gold started to rise and eventually form into either a drakon or a hellhound. When Draco saw this his eyes went wide and turned to me and tried to explain, but I snarled at him and he fell silent.
I jumped to my feet and looked around. The whole time the hunters and Artemis were watching in shock. My eyes caught with the Lieutenant's and using the powers of Chaos, I slipped inside her head to know her name.
When I found out, I said to her. "I'll see you again Zoe Nightshade. You can count on that."
I ignored the whispers and shocked glances at me and turned to the hellhounds. "Let us leave. I have friends to help."
I then turned into my hellhound form and ran into forest, the hellhound running with me to my aid. 4 hours later, I was in the Santa Monica Pier. When I got there, I was shocked to find out that Hagan and Sparrow were either knocked out or held down by an unknown source, Silus was nowhere in sight, Annabeth and Grover was watching Percy fight some man with a broadsword.
I turned to my hellhounds and said. "I want you to surround the man with the broadsword and attack him from all sides."
They all nodded and disappeared in the shadows. I ran out from my hiding place and behind Grover and Annabeth. When I was getting closer, I realized that I could shadow travel. Mentally face-palming myself, I shadow traveled just as Annabeth turned around.
I appeared inside the wide ring of hellhounds, that were giving small, but effective bites to the man. I saw Percy confused that the hellhounds were attacking Ares and gave Ares a open hit, which was a Spartan Kick to the chest.
Percy flew over the ring of hellhounds and Ares stalked towards him. As he got close to the hellhounds, he cut through them like they were nothing. Every hellhound that died killed a piece of me too.
When he killed four hellhounds in total, I lost it. I roared. "Stand away from him! He's mine!"
The remaining hellhounds backed away from him as I walked to him. He eyes widened in shock and confusion. Yeah that's right. I thought. I'm one of a kind.
I saw a injured hellhound trying to scoot to me, but Ares stepped on it and crushed his head with a big stomp. I internally grimaced and then a wave of rage came over me.
I started to convulsing, like I did when when I was about to transform, but this time it was different. I heard my bones cracking and shifting and me growing. When it was finished, I was bone tired, but when I looked at Ares, I was looking down on him. I was confused and looked own at my feet. As a champion of Primordials, I measured how tall I was, and I figured out that I was at least 7 feet tall.
Same coat same teeth, claws, but bigger, stronger, and quicker. I looked up at Ares and hatred replaced my confusion. I roared and charged him. He regained his focus and charged me also. Just when I was about to be cut in half, I shadow traveled behind him and bit down on his neck and shoulder.
Shaking my head side to side, I finally threw a bit up god into the water. In the corner of my eye, I saw Percy inching his way behind Ares.
I ran towards Ares, distracting him from Percy. Just when I reached him, Percy stabbed Ares in the back of the thigh.
Ares roared, blasting me and Percy away about a least 50 meters. When I got up, he muttering to himself, limping towards Percy. Suddenly he stopped and a dark presence settled over the Santa Monica Pier. After a couple minutes of Ares frozen, he unfroze and lowered his sword.
"You have made an enemy godling." He said to me and Percy. "You have sealed your fate. Every time you raise your blade-"
"Shut already and leave. We get it. You are mad at us and you are cursing us. We don't give a fuck. And Ares. If you kill another hellhound, I'll find you and send you to the Void. Are we understanding each other?"
He looked at me with a little fear. I looked own and noticed why. I closed my eyes and transformed into my human form. When I opened my eyes, he was still looking at me. "Take a picture, it'll last longer stupid."
He shook out of his faze and glared at me. He then began to glow. I heard Annabeth yell. "Guys! Don't look!"
I turned around and I heard a flash and the light died down. I heard leather wings flapping and looked up. Above us were the Furies. I sighed and tossed the helm of darkness to the one in the middle.
I then ran off to the knocked out Sparrow and Hagan. I slapped them both in the face and they shot up with angry faces.
I backed up and asked. "Where's Silus?"
Hagan's face became of anger while Sparrow's of sadness. "He joined the the enemy and knocked us out."
I stood there in shock. The quiet powerful son of Chronus turned on his own father. I realized something and turned to Percy and the others. "Guys! Today is the last day or a war will break out! We got to hurry!"
"How? Flying a plane! Zeus will knock us out the sky!" Percy asked.
I smirked and waved my hand. A portal made of black mist appeared. "This is how we are going to go to Olympus in time. Grover is going to throw up. You and Annabeth are going to be queasy. While Hagan here is going to pass out."
He looked at me and said. "Wait what?"
I smirked. "Sparrow, you should shadow travel to Olympus by yourself and the rest of you go in the portal."
"What about you?" Percy asked as Hagan, Annabeth and Grover went in the portal, while Sparrow shadow traveled to Olympus.
"I'm going to shadow travel to Olympus like Sparrow."
He nodded and hugged me. "Nice to see you alive brother." He then stepped in the portal and it disappeared. Just when I was about to run into a shadow, I heard a tired voice in my voice.
Come to me child. Find me in Ryūgū-jō underwater near Hawaii. You will find all your answers there. Then the voice left my mind.
I shook my head in confusion, not knowing what to do. But as a person who loved adventure, I accepted the omen and would leave after I settle down this war.
I ran into the shadow and appeared in the Olympian Throne Room, right beside Percy who was addressing Zeus. He jumped when he saw me appear out of nowhere while Zeus jumped up, paranoid and angry. "Who are you boy! How dare you come to the Olympian Council without consent!"
I snarled at the word boy and would've attacked him, but I saw Artemis shake her head in the slightest way. I was surprised that Artemis actually cared enough for me to stop me from causing suicide.
I choked down the snarl and answered Zeus, gritting my teeth. "I'm here on the behalf of Chaos, the creator of the universe. She told me and my friends to help you in the war against your father and grandmother. If you don't want my help, then fine. But don't come running back to me when you are being destroyed." I spat.
It was complete silence since everyone was shocked that a mere mortal would speak to Zeus in that manner. But I was no mere mortal.
He swallowed his pride and said in a choked voice. "Of course we accept your help. You can stay at Camp Half-Blood for the time being."
I was about to say no when a vortex opened on my left and out came Chaos himself.
He glared at me and turned to the Olympians. "He will stay at your camp while his friends are staying with me."
He barely finished when I exploded. "How come they get to go home! Why do I have to stay at this stupid camp! Where am I going to stay! If I have to stay then you have to make a Chaos cabin for me!"
When I finished, the Olympians looked at me with pity, thinking I was going to die, but Chaos just smiled warmly and said. "Of course Nexus." She snapped her fingers and said. "There. It's done. I hope you have a nice stay!"
She said be fore grabbed Hagan and Sparrow and teleported out the Throne Room. I looked at Percy, Grover, and Annabeth and said. "So where is this camp?"
Percy glanced at me and said. "Long Island."
I nodded and said. "See you there."
Before I ran into a shadow and appeared in a camp. I looked around and saw Campers crowding a a tall tower, made out of obsidian with blue, red, purple, green, silver, and gold jewels glittering inside it. I walked and pushed through the crowd until I got to the front and looked at the door.
It was red and blue which looked pretty good mixed together. On top of it said. Chaos' cabin. I smirked. Didn't look like a cabin to me. I walked up to the door and was about to touch the door nob when one of the campers called out. "Don't touch it! It'll shock you!"
I paused before I grabbed the door nob. I sat there waiting for me to be shocked, but when nothing happened, I shrugged and opened the door, shocking the campers. Right before I closed the door, I heard the same camper call out. "What is your name?! We never saw you here before."
I paused and looked out. "My name is Nexus Achilles Jackson. And you will do well to remember that." Then I slammed the door shut.
