A/N: So, some of you asked last time where I heard there was going to be a seventh book and the story is: I like the mother-daughter book club page on Facebook and they posted a link about a week ago that led to a page on Heather-Vogel Fredrick's website where she talked about how she was so excited because her publisher had decided to do another book. There you go.

Chapter Seven:

It was going to be a long day. Emma could already tell that. Jess was all fired up and they weren't even in classes yet. They asked for directions and found the way to the principal's office. A sweet lady told them that they would have to wait for a minute because the principal was on a call. They waited on a comfy, yet appalling pink couch, until the door opened and another sweet (looking) lady beckoned them inside.

"Hi we're…" Jess started.

"Jess Delaney, and Emma Hawthorne, I know." Her tone was sharp and it took Emma by surprise. "Please, take a seat." Emma dropped instantly into the seat, afraid she would be scorned if she didn't immediately comply. Jess was less paranoid and sank into her seat much more gracefully. "I have your schedueles here." She handed them each a piece of paper which they scanned quickly before turning to compare and stopping after feeling the stern glare of the principal upon them. "You will each have a guide today, to help you get to your classes." Two more girls entered the room. Emma nearly gasped, one of the was the blonde girl from earlier.

"I'd love to show the blonde one around, Mrs. Lane." Jess rolled her eyes and 'Mrs. Lane' nodded smugly.

"Okay, see you Emma!" Jess got up and left the office with the girl. The other one in the office looked quite nice and was relieved that she hadn't been handed off to the blonde one.

"I'm Jessica." The girl said, kindly, as they left the office.

"I'm Emma."

"That doesn't having anything to do with Jane Austen, does it?" Emma smiled and blushed.

"It does actually, my parents are Austen nuts."

"Mine too. Thankfully they got into it after I was born, or I probably would be named Emma too." The girls smiled thoughtfully together. Maybe the day wasn't going to be so bad after all.

Things were not going so well for Jess. She was already more than tired of this girl. She was like Becca + Megan, when they're both awful. She was a hair-flipping, trash-talking, cat-walking monster. Jess hated her.

"I don't get why you don't like me." The girl asked. She actually sounded vulnerable.

"Because I don't, go cry to some other fake girl who will pretend to care." The girl gasped. Yep, Jess already knew how to get under her skin and she was proud of it.

"Why don't you though?"

"Because I find you to be a condescending b***h, who feels as though everyone should kiss the ground she walks on." Now blondie almost feel over. Jess just laughed. This whole 'new school' thing was going to be really fun. "This is the history classroom?" Jess asked the shocked girl beside her.

"Y-yes."

"Great." Jess opened the door and marched inside. She felt like she was on top of the world. She like how she felt so powerful. This was how that Fab Four must have felt. It was great. She like this, she wanted this.

The whole class, including the teacher turned to look at her. The blonde girl stumbled in behind her, nearly tripping.

"You know I hear that takes skill, the whole, tripping over thin air thing." Jess slid into an empty seat as the whole class gasped at her words.

"Class, this is Jess Delaney, our newest student. I hope you all welcome her warmly." The teacher choked this out and then turned back to the board. Blondie tripped her way over to her own seat and the girls surrounding her on either side turned to her, concern on their faces.

"Are you alright Kimber?"

"Who does she think she is?"

"Is she American? That might explain it." They were all muttering at once. Jess grimaced. How dare they assume that the blame for this might be the fact that she was American! She was proud to be American and this implication just angered her more. It was time for Kimber to fall down the social pyramid here.

A/N: I know it's a Monday, but I'm home sick. I figured I'd go ahead and finish up this chapter, I know its short but there's a lot going on in it so I thought it would be better to leave it here.
