Chapter 12
Andromeda could not keep the smile off her face as she watched Harry play with Teddy in the garden. Two days ago Harry had come to her and explained the Ministry's latest idiotic plan. She had been furious on Harry's behalf, he had gone through so much, he had saved the world for Merlin's sake and now they wanted his freedom too. One thing she was glad for was that Harry had planned ahead, three days did not leave a lot of time to work with and now it was just one more day till the stupid law got signed.
She was also extremely thankful that she and Teddy had dropped their British citizenship long ago. She had done all the paperwork after she had gained his custody of Teddy, back in Britain he would have been a victim of prejudice his whole life for being the son of a known werewolf even thought his father had been a war hero. She wanted a better life for Teddy without being considered a second class citizenship and an American citizenship would grant him that.
"Harry!"
"What Andromeda?"
"Don't you have your first training session with Logan in thirty minutes?
"It's that late already?" Harry said sounding surprised.
"Yes, you should not arrive late to meet him" this she said with a little smirk. She knew Harry was nervous about the lessons physical aspects and to be truthful she found it hilarious. She knew Harry was still in the beginning stages of the courting and still somewhat insecure but that would change once he felt more secure in Logan's affections.
"Ok, I am going. Teddy we can play later ok." Harry said looking at his godson.
"Ok, can we go to the lake soon?" Teddy asked Harry with big pleading eyes.
Harry laughed and said "We can go this weekend to the lake." Teddy had seen the lake at the X mansion and wanted to swim there ever since. Even thought they had a perfectly fine pool in their own home apparently a lake with a swing was just the place he wanted to go and while Harry had been reluctant to take him there since he was so little the guys at the mansion had decided to make a day of it and would just stay in the shallow parts of the lake and of course Andromeda was invited to keep watch on them. With all of them there Teddy should be alright and have fun.

"Ok Kitten let's start simple. We will start with some stretching exercises and then some running. I want you to run every morning to start building on your stamina." Logan told Harry with a semi-serious look, he seemed like he thought the whole thing would be a lot of fun for him.
"Ok" Harry responded, it did not sound so bad. He should had known better when Logan had that particular smile on his face, predatory and with a hint sadism on the edge.
"Let's get started"

He took it back it was horrible. He felt like his lungs where burning up and he was about to pass out.
"Please no more" he was panting and doubled over with his hands in his knees.
"Harry we just got started, after this we are going to start on some self-defense maneuvers."
"You have got to be kidding me, I feel dead tired, how can you expect me to continue!?" Harry said incredulously
"That's why you need to build up your stamina. I expect you to start running every morning. You can start with five laps in the mornings until you build up to more, that way we can start directly with training when you come to your lessons. I run every day at six am if you want company." The last was said with a seductive smile.
While Harry was not really happy about all the exercising he was not about to pass a chance to spend more time with Logan. "I would like that, even if you are an evil task master." The last was said with a small pout.
"Don't look at me like that kitten, you need to build up your stamina if you want to be able to train with me on your physical combat techniques."
Still pouting Harry said "I know, but I don't have to like it"
"Don't pout kitten, if you do well I might even give you a reward" Logan said suggestively
When Harry looked up he realized that Logan was a lot closer than he had been before "Really?"
"Oh yea" as he said that he put his arms around Harry and pulled him close "If you manage to keep up with the training regime I give you I will give you whatever you want as a reward."
Harry's eyes took on a mischievous light and he smiled "Ok, you are on." Logan had a feeling things where about to get interesting.

The Wizengamot had been in session for an hour and not very much had been accomplished. Kingsley Shacklebolt could feel his headache building up, listening to idiotic politicians was really not how he wanted to spend his day. Sometimes he wondered why he accepted the job to begin with, oh how he missed the days of catching bad guys with no politics involved.
"Now to the next item of the day. The Hero Protection Act, the bill was originally proposed by Ivan Gudgeon and is to be voted on today. The act as the name suggested is supposed to protect the heroes of our nation, even if it is from themselves. The act would also give this body the ability to help manage the individual's life if they seem to have trouble adjusting to their public life after their act of heroism. The spirit of this act is to keep the icons of hope in the eye of the public and to make sure this icons lead a productive life that benefit our nation."
What they weren't saying the new law would give them leave to arbitrarily decide if the heroes in question were in need of their so called 'help'. It also omitted the fact that it would violate all of the individual's rights to freedom and turn them into a poster for the ministry. It would also prevent them from ever speaking against the ministry and their practices. Minister Kingsley truly hated this new law and had made sure to make anyone that might be affected by it aware of it. Not many where affected since the standards where high but any recipient of the Order of Merlin first class where fair game.
He knew for a fact that Harry Potter was the real target of this act but that would not stop them from trying to go after the others once they realized Harry was out of reach. He also knew that of the three recipients for the Order of Merlin first class the only one to have survived the war had been Harry. The other recipients where Remus Lupin (whom had killed Fenrir Greyback before dying for his injuries) and Severus Snape (whom had been a spy for the light), both deceased. All other recipients had been second and third class.
He was just glad that the twins had gotten to Harry and that he had dropped their British citizenship. He hated that it had gotten to that point but he knew he were safer this way. He was also kind of hoping that the idiots would cause an incident that would give him leave to clean house and work to better the country instead of catering to idiotic politicians.
"Now please cast your vote in the disc in front of you. Red for no and green for yes." After a couple of minutes of quiet voting the results were announced. "With a sixty-five percent of the vote the Hero Protection Act is approved."
"Now as the first order for this act I propose that we get Harry Potter back." Said Ivan Gudgeon
Kingsley almost groaned out loud, each time he had mentioned this was a bad idea he had been ignored by the majority of the Wizengamot and while he was the Minister when it came to laws he really had little say about it, oh he had a vote but only the full Wizengamot could pass laws, change or eliminate them.

They had been at the lake for about two hours and Teddy didn't show any signs of tiring. At the moments he was playing with Bobby and Kitty on the shore of the lake. Meanwhile Warren was making burgers and some of the others where swimming a little deeper into the lake. Andromeda just sat watching and smiling from one of the picnic tables.
While this was going on Harry was serving hotdogs to some of the kids from the mansion that had decided to join in the fun. Logan on the other hand was just watching Harry while drinking beer with Gambit, a small smirk on his face.
"Hey kitten let the kids serve themselves and have some fun."
Harry looked at him with a smile, he knew Logan was just looking for an excuse to get him wet again after all he had not missed the heated looks Logan gave him while he had been playing with Teddy on the water. "Are you going to get in the water with me?" Harry decided to tell him with a mischievous smile.
Logan looked at him seriously for a moment, in one hand he himself did not care for swimming especially with his overly heavy body but on the other watching Harry wet and without a shirt definitely held an appeal. And it wasn't like the lake was overly deep, he himself could pretty much stand upright in most of it.
Harry just kept looking at him expectantly. "Ok I can play with you kitten if that is what you want."
"Then let's go" Harry said with a big smile, signaling one of the older kids to keep serving food. He took Logan's hand and dragged him to where Teddy was playing.
"Teddy! Having fun?"
"Yes! I love the water and Bobby is making ice animals for me." He said with a big smile.
"Ok, if you get hungry tell us so we can get you something to eat." Teddy just nodded with a smile and went back to playing with his new friends.
Once in the water Harry turned to Logan and splash him, and of course Logan retaliated. They ended with an all-out water splashing war with the kids from the mansion and even Teddy joined in in his floaters with Kitty and Bobby at his sides.
When things calmed down Harry picked Teddy up and spun him around laughing. With him still in his arms he went to Logan who put his own arms around him, they made the picture of the perfect family with big smiles all around.
Logan loved this side of Harry his playfulness, his caring personality and he thought he looked beautiful with Teddy in his arms who right now looked like a smaller version of Harry. All big green eyes, white skin and black hair.
"Hey Logan isn't Teddy the cutest?" Harry said looking at him with big bright eyes.
"Of course, just like my kitten." And before Harry could respond he kissed him full in the lips. He could hear Teddy laughing and some of the kids wolf whistling but he did not care, he had his sweet kitten in his arms and that was all that mattered.
