New chapter at last!

Chapter 13

Percy Weasley was an extremely stressed individual. Since the search of Harry Potter had started he had been run ragged, he was the one in charge of documenting all leads the aurors stumbled upon and making direct reports to the Wizengamot. If he did not known better he would think the aurors where purposely giving him false leads and making him run in circles by sending him to different individuals for information that at the end brought him no closer to discovering where Harry Potter was.

Truth was that most aurors that had learned about the new law where against it, they could read between the lines and knew what the law really meant. They also suspected it would not take long before they started targeting all other orders of merlin, the most worrisome part to them was that all that had fought in the war had been given orders of merlin fourth, third and second class depending on their actions. It would not be long until a big chunk of the population fell into the parameters of the new law. So while Percy might be a very organized individual and had a decent mind he would not be getting much from all the 'leads' the aurors had been able to gather, not that he really realized this.

"Weasley!" someone called out making Percy turn in their direction.

"Yes Mr. Gudgeon, is there something you need?" Percy asked looking at the Wizengamot member expectantly.

"It has come to my attention that the aurors have made no progress in locating Potter. The main excuse I seem to me hearing is that they cannot freely search in other countries since they don't have jurisdiction in foreign land. Taking this into consideration I want you to open communications with the other magical governments to ask for their cooperation in searching for our missing hero." Gudgeon said with a serious face looking straight a Percy.

Percy nodding eagerly agreed, "Right away sir, I will go start contacting them." With that they parted ways. Percy felt he was finally going to get some good news to impart the Wizengamot, after all how hard could it be to get the other nations to cooperate in the search of Harry Potter? Percy had no idea his life was about to get a lot more complicated, he was completely ignorant of how bad was England's standing with the rest of the nations.

"Harry! What brings you here?" asked Bobby with a lopsided smile.

"Weren't you supposed to be watching over Teddy today?" asked Kurt

"Yea, Andromeda had her doctor's appointment today." Answered Harry but before he could add anything he was interrupted.

"Is she alright?" asked Marie with a hint of worry in her voice.

"Yes, it's just a routine checkup and later she plans to go to the stores and get something's she wants. I told her she could make it a day and I would stay with Teddy. Anyway, I came here because Teddy begged me to ask you guys over for a Disney movies marathon. Since classes officially start next week I thought it would be a good idea, since when school finally starts we will have less time available." Harry said looking hopefully at them.

"Of course you can count us in." said Kitty with a smile. They all loved Teddy and did not mind spending time with the little one, even if it was for a kid's movie marathon.

"Are we also invited mon ami?" asked Gambit with a teasing smile as he entered the room with Logan.

"Certainly, the more the merrier." Harry answered with a smile that was mostly directed at Logan, not that the others minded.

"Hello Kitten" said Logan making his way to Harry and putting his arms around him making him blush slightly. Before Harry could say anything to Logan a voice interrupted.

"Who is with Teddy now?" asked Warren.

"I left him with Mipsy for a little bit to come and get you guys." Harry did not think sending a house elf to the manor was a good idea since most of the kids at the manor did not know they even existed so he had come himself.

"Oh, then let's go. We don't want to leave the little one waiting." Was Warren's response.

Andromeda had a great day. She had gone to her Healer and found she was in excellent health, which wasn't all that surprising since for a witch she was still young, after all wizards could live up to two hundred years depending on how powerful they were and she was just now entering her fifties. After seeing her healer and with Harry's approval she had gone to have a day for herself. She went shopping first and then had a spa treatment that left her feeling fresh and revitalized.

Getting home she noticed that most of the house was in darkness and the rooms that had light where just dimly lit. She could hear some noise and so she followed it. The scene that welcomed her made her smile. Harry's friends where all watching one of Teddy's Disney movies while throwing amused smiles to the couch Harry, Teddy and Logan where in. Harry was fast asleep with his head resting in Logan's shoulder while Teddy was asleep cuddled between the two. Logan's arms where surrounding them while said man watched over their sleep ignoring the movie completely.

When Marie caught her eye she smiled, "Dinner will be done in an hour, so you can let them sleep a little more." Marie nodded and Andromeda left the room.

Dinner was usually served at six but seeing Harry fast asleep told her he had not started on it and probably no one had thought to ask the elves for food. Plus with the stack of snacks she saw in the table it was possible that when dinner time came they were too full with junk to eat. With that in mind she decided to make a light dinner that would take a short time to prepare.

"Ugh, I hate this!" the read head was almost pulling his hair out

"Ron! What's with all the racket?" asked Mrs. Weasley coming out of the kitchen with a rag in her hands. As she spoke Ginny came down the stairs to see what had happened, after all Ron had thrown the door close so hard it made the wall vibrate.

"I hate the Academy. Why do I have to train with all of those losers? They should be begging me to be one of their aurors, not forcing me to go to the Academy. One of the instructor had the gall to tell me he did not think I had what it took and that just because I had survived the war it did not mean I would pass the Academy and become an auror." Ron was red faced and while he had stopped screaming the anger in his voice was obvious. "Not only that but they have Slytherins there and when I tried to tell them the slimy snakes where nothing but dark wizards and traitors they told me that my opinion was not needed."

Molly shook her head "You just have to show them how good you are and you will be raising in the auror ranks in no time." She told him with a smile. Truth to be told she was not sure she believed her own words, after all Ron had only ever been a mediocre student. It was like all the smarts had been passed to her older children and the last two had been given the short end of the stick, even the twins where doing well for themselves. Her hope had been that since all in the battle of Hogwarts had been given orders of Merlin and Ron had received one (third class) he would be accepted as an auror without testing in the Academy. That dream had been crushed when Kingsley announced that while all Orders of Merlin would be given a spot at the Academy it fell unto them to pass and become an auror. His reasoning was that while grades could be forgiven because of the war (normally to enter the Academy you had to have high grades), no one could become an auror without going thru the proper training since it would not do to send unqualified people into the field.

Ron did not really looked convinced "It's all Potter's fault if he had stayed and married Ginny I would not have to go to the stupid Academy and would have been offered the job already." The fact that Harry had no influence in who became an auror did not pass his mind, nor that his failings where his own fault and no one else's.

Ginny for her part had an ugly scowl on her face at the mention of Harry's name, since the spectacle they had made in front of half the school she had not been having a good time. Not only her dream marriage to the rich hero had been destroyed but now she could not even get a boyfriend. Someone in the crowd had gone with the story to the media plastering the story in the cover of the Prophet and Witchly Weekly, among others, all accompanied by pictures not only of the scene but of her in some compromising positions with a myriad of wizards. Since then no guy would go out with her and any marriage opportunity she might have had went up in flames.

"Well Ron… How is Hermione?" Molly said to change the subject

Ron frowned but answered his mother "She is in an interview to see if she can get a grant to study in the Magicae Univercity in Rome. You know she almost blew a casket when she was not accepted in any of the places she applied to work at and in the Ministry she was told they had no positions available. What's worse she could not find any post Hogwarts education here unless she became a Healer or went to the Academy with me. You know she wants to become an Unspeakable to be able to study some of the things she saw when we were there."

Hermione's new obsession with becoming an Unspeakable had risen since they had come back to school for their last year. But she never took into consideration that one does not apply to become an Unspeakable, one was chosen and she was not even in their list of possibilities at the moment. One had to first have a Mastery, then have experience, to excel among all others in their chosen field, be discrete and able to think outside the box. Hermione put too much faith in her books and did not ask enough questions about the knowledge they contained to be ever unspeakable material.

"She is a very bright girl, she will probably come with good news soon." Molly said with a smile. She was disappointed that Hermione and Ron were not able to marry yet, but with Harry out of the picture there was no way they could afford the big wedding they wanted. "And you Ginny how did the tryouts go?"

Ginny had been trying to get picket by a quidditch team, she liked to be the center of attention and there was no better way for her to be just that than to be part of a team in the one magical sport that most of Wizarding Europe followed. "I wasn't picked." She said with a scowl. "They told me that while I was good at school level playing, I was far from being professional material. You know that one of the scouts even had the gall to ask if I knew where Potter was. He told me that a flyer like Potter would have a place in any team he wanted." The last was said in a sarcastic tone that dripped with venom.

Ron started to scowl once more and even Molly made a face. They could not believe how fast the world had fallen around them just because Potter would not do what was expected of him. After all they had done for him he had thrown them away. The only thing that kept the whole family from becoming pariahs was that her older sons and husband where well known and respected for their part in the war and in the case of the twins for their very successful business. But even that did not help them any since the twins refused to even acknowledge them as of late.

"Don't worry. Things will get better." Said Molly going to finish dinner leaving behind her two scowling children. Her only hope now was that rumors of the new law Arthur had heard about in the ministry would force Potter to return so they could make nice with him and gain access to his money. Of course such thing would never happened but dreaming didn't cost anything and that was all they had.

"Andromeda how was your day?" asked Harry with a smile. He had been awake for a while now and after getting over his embarrassment he had joined the others for dinner.

"It was great! I even got a chance to the spa for the first time in a long while." And it showed, she looked radiant and very relaxed and it seemed like she had shed years.

"Oh, that's sounds great. Maybe we can have a girl's spa day sometime." Say kitty with an exited gleam in her eyes.

Marie nodded along with her, "It would be nice to have a day of relaxation." But then she frowned a bit, there was no one she could go to a spa since she could not touch anyone skin to skin.

Noting her frown Harry decided to intervene. "Where is the food I am hunger and I know I am not the only one."

As if on cue Teddy started chanting "Food! Food! Food!"

With a laugh Andromeda said, "Ok here it is." And with that she made plates with foot long sandwiches float to each of them and a smaller one for Teddy. Since they were under charms, it was like she had just made each and every one of them and they look like the ones you would buy out. Everyone dug in happily.

Andromeda threw Harry a knowing look when their eyes met, she knew he had tried to keep Marie from getting depressed. What she did not know was that using Harry's glamour bracelet as a template he and the twins had come with the idea to create a suppressor for mutant abilities. With the help of Gambit, who had hit it off with the twins, the twins already had a couple of prototypes, including one that would hide physical aspects of mutations including a way to trick the senses so that everything felt normal to touch. They had also enlisted the help of other mutants that Gambit knew to make sure it worked for anyone and not just one of them or a specific ability. It should not take them long to make final adjustments and have them ready for distribution, they were even thinking of making them accessible to magical creatures that wanted to blend better in the muggle world.

"I know what you did there" Logan murmured into Harry's ear

Harry smiled and murmured back in an innocent tone, "I have no idea of what you are talking about."

Logan smirked and leaned in to steal a kiss catching Harry by surprised. Before things could get too heated Logan leaned back and smiled smugly at Harry's dazed look. All the while the others watched on with varied degrees of amusement, with the sole exception being Teddy whose whole attention was in his food at the moment.
