I sat there at my desk. It had been only two days since I arrived to the college. My hair was up and hiding under my top hat. My chest tucked in tightly, and my clothing was traditional school clothing. I felt weird being in college. It was like highschool, except full of more idiots...I mean, the information I knew about most classes were updated and everything here was old. And to hear my opinion made everyone look at me funny. and go "Wow! I never thought of that!"
Mainly, my specialty was Space and deep sea ocean. Supernova's, undersea life, black holes, blue dwarfs. It was all interesting to me. Even so...I had to be weary...Undertaker was here...at this school...I was ready for him...
My hand traveled down to my stomach, patting my hungry tummy. And my hungry child. "Shush...I know...It's alright...Lunch will be here soon...Be pataint..." I cooed, finishing off my homework. It had been so long since I wrote something in pen.
A shadow was casted over me, and I looked up, seeing Sebastian in his outfit and glasses...Needless to say...He looked really fucking handsome. And that cross on the rosary beads was just irony.
"Your knowledge of deep space is extraordinary. Yet you lack mathematical skills..." He said, smirking. I rolled my eyes. "Everyone is different. You can't know everything. Numbers are annoying...Letters are more fun." I gave as an excuse.
"Try harder, maybe you'll learn something new." Sebastian scolded in a sickly sweet voice. That niko smile there as always.
"Fuck off..." I said with deep hatred. Oh, now I remembered why I hated school so much, teachers who didn't fucking understand you. "Nobody's perfect like you, devil..." I seethed.
"Quite the temper. Don't get defensive now, you don't want to wind up in detention now would you?" He asked, eyes glinting fushia red. I just raised an eyebrow at him, before getting up from my desk and walking off. I didn't have to take his shit. Better to just walk away...
I had to focus on Undertaker...Would he accept me being pregnant? Maybe not... No doubt he would deny it...A gasp escaped my lips as I fell to my knees, clutching my stomach. That was a pain I never felt before. Was the baby alright? It's heartbeat was still going...Then what was wrong with me?
The next few days were interesting. Ciel had solve a lying upper classmen. Caused a fire to occur, and now Sebastian expected me to chase after Undertaker.
Well we did, and of course, he escaped from his clothing. Which made me wonder...Was he running around naked? The very idea made me blush. Most likely yes. He was running around naked...With that sexy man ass of his...I needed to get my mind out of the gutter.
And now, Ciel had graduated to the very top. And I watched as he sailed on a boat, only to topple over into the water with the crew. I laughed hysterically. That is, until I saw the queen. I narrowed my eyes, zooming in on her. I then glared. Just what the fuck was her plan? She was definitely evil...That aura...Something was up... I then walked away from the area, heading back to my dorm. I couldn't watch anymore. Her presence ruined everything...
.../\/\/\...
"Alright alright calm the fuck down..." Sighed Aurora, who was just woken up by Sebastian. She didn't know what was happening.
"The young master is having a private tea party with the prefects...This will help us discover where Derrick Arden has disappeared..." He said, looking intrigued. Her stomach clenched. And it would help me be with Undertaker again... Oh my god...This was it...
She hopped out of bed, putting on her nightcoat. Adrenaline pumping. Was she ready for this? Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope.
Aurora was met with the cold air and beautiful stars above her. She breathed softly. Why was it always cold?...As they neared the sight, she could hear their conversations. And then see the conversations. Her heart jumped in her throat as she saw the principle, hair hiding under his hat like her... Undertaker...She wanted to scream at him, she wanted to run out and hug him. But of course, that was too ridiculous.
She stood still and waited, listening in. And soon, Ciel began to confront them about the disappearances of the students. Ciel slammed his hands down.
"In any case. It's the truth that they weren't at purple house! Five people have disappeared from a strictly supervised public school. This is obviously quite strange!" He looked among the group at the table, who obviously appeared a bit stunned. "Theres a big chance that they've become involved in some large incident. Principle! I'd like to call in the yard!"
"That will not be necessary..." Spoke a voice. Aurora looked up, seeing one of the teachers wearing a graduation cap on his head...He weirdly looked like claude...What the fuck? She also noticed he didn't not have a heartbeat...Oh thats right...He was an improved zombie...Freaky. He was fully conscious and did not seek to devour the living.
"What?" Ciel blinked, looking up at him.
"Thats because, They are right here." He pointed his finger to the door. "Look..." Ciel swung his head around, seeing the door open slowly. "Hey...It smells of tea..." There stood Derrick Arden, with a top hat on his head...Obviously hiding the scars. Sebastian raised an eyebrow beside me. This made no sence.
"What the hell, he's right here..."
Herman stared at him in shock. "Arden? Are you really..."
"Hey. The tea smells good..." Said Derrick, who hovered over Herman with a demented look on his face. A chill went through Herman. Derrick got closer. "Ar...Arde-" Suddenly, Derrick bit into Herman's arm, blood spurting up. His screams burned my ears.
Ciel gasped in shock. Sebastian was ready for his masters call. I stayed put, seeing Undertaker didn't react
Ciel then saw Derrick had stitches along his forehead. "Th...That wound!" He then pulled off his eyepatch. "COME! SEBASTIAN!" Sebastian then disappeared, appearing behind Ciel in a flash. I remained in the bushes, still watching. A few tears went down my face. I suddenly felt afraid. What if he rejected me? What if he really didn't want me any longer?...
She then saw Sebastian wrapped up Derrick nicely with the table cloth. Of course, he did it in style... "This won't do!" He kicked his wrapped up body to the ground.
"M-My Arm!" Screamed Greenhill. And Aurora felt her heart sank. Undertaker had become more...brutal and vicious. And still, he did not move an inch from his seat. His hands were still intertwined. His chin on them...He was cold...heartless.
But She still loved him with all I had to give. Aurora could feel pain in her stomach again. What was happening to her?
"So the episode will run wild after all..." Said Agares. Sebastian gave him a look that clearly showed he knew he was dead.
"Sebastian is my butler..." Ciel explained, earning shocked and confused looks from everyone.
"And the reason I entered this school was to find Derrick and the rest. Sebastian couldn't get hold of his whereabouts. Because Derrick is already dead..."
Aurora kept staring at Undertaker, her eyes still brimming with tears. She had to say something soon...Very soon...But not yet... But she had to pick the right time...Or she would lose him for god knows how long... She watched Ciel point a gun at Undertaker.. Then Herman went on to explain what happened to his body. And one of his paragraphs hinted towards something that shocked Ciel to his core.
"I see...Now everything falls into place..." Sebastian grinned with his fangs. "The student who disappeared, body ad soul... Derrick Arden... The one who was able to escape from my pursuit...The principlr...The association researching human generation... The Aurora society..." Aurora saw him shift his legs slightly in his chair. Did it bother Undertaker to say her name?
"Hey...Why don't we both drop the teacher act here?..." Sebastian said with a devilish grin. There was a long moment of silence.
Undertaker then untwined his hands. A grin spreading across his half covered face. "Ahhh, man...I was becoming fond of this job too..." He said. Ciel stared at him, knowing the voice well. It couldn't have been, this soon?
"It was truly pleasant to watch you struggle from the grand tier..." He pointed to Ciel. "You've offered me the best of laughs..." He then put his hands on the rim of his top hat. "Hee! Hee!"
"You are..." Ciel trailed off, his body frozen in shock. Undertaker then removed his top hat. His hair falling all around him delicately, like they were light as a feather. "UNDERTAKER?!"
He gave a slight wave and grinned, before spinning his hat. "Hello-hello Earl. You're as tiny as ever...But I am Very pleased to see you are doing well...Did you enjoy your experience with group life? It must have been a different experience for you..." He asked, almost expecting an answer.
"I was wondering where you disappeared to after closing up shop...To think you started working at school of all places..."
Undertaker put his hat back on his head. "Only temporality though..."
"My my...It seems our investigation got a little out of hand...You four assassinated lord Derrick...And then...Requested his resuscitation from the Aurora society...What was so important to protect that you would resort to such means?"
The prefects then began to tell their tale of what exactly happened. Of course, Undertaker just thought it was very amusing. Like a boy in a theater.
"Just killing someone like that...What are you saying?" Said a dumbfounded Ciel.
"Pfffffft..." Undertaker clutched his sides in his chair. "GYAAAHAHAHAHAHA! THATS AMAZING! AHAHAHAH!"
"Oh...Thats rare...It seems we agree on something..." Said a curious Sebastian.
Time was going faster. She thought of a perfect time to intervene. But would Undertaker listen to her? Would he...even care? Her childs life was on the line...
"What do you want!?" Asked a shaky Ciel. And Undertaker looked amused, his chin on his hand. He then reached over, grabbing a slice of pie. "SInce I've received copious amounts of payment just now, I'll tell you, for old times sake..."
"Derrick was certainly conscious, if only for a moment...It was clearly different from the previous corspes...No..."
"They've evolved!"
Undertaker smiled. "It makes me happy to hear you say that..." He then chomped down on the cake slice all at once. "You're right..." He then spread his arms wide. "Even the dead can evolve. As long as there are episodes."
"...Episodes?" Asked a confused Sebastian. "Do you mean those fake memories you made? I believe connecting those to the deceased record was the mechanism behind the moving corpses."
Undertaker crossed his hands together. "Wrong! But close!" He said with pursed lips. "It's not that easy. Whats driving them now is...Their yearning for a future...In their dying moments, review their past life...These images come and go...They're fragmentary of course, but...At the same time...They crave the future they were supposed to have...These fragments are the episodes...These are like a predictive map of the future. My self created memories are nothing compared to deaths...Future memories...So if we stuck them to the record...Wouldn't it become complete?"
Sebastian and Ciel looked at each other with worried expressions.
"Well, the succession rate is still pretty low..." Shrugged Undertaker. "It's dependent on the quality of of the episodes."
Ciel's hand wavered on the gun, "I don't understand..." He then brought the gun up. "Why would you do that!? What purpose does bring back the dead serve?!"
Undertaker lifted his hat up with a finger. "I just...Want to see what comes after the pre-determined end..."
"After...the end?" Ciel asked, not convinced.
"You've never thought about it?" Asked Undertaker, throwing his arms up. "There might be an interesting development lurking behind the ending credits..."
"Thats where we differ...Exactly because death is such a hopeless and definite end...It is beautiful..." Said a hazy eyed Sebastian.
A different look came over Undertaker's features. "I've told you all I can for the current price..." He put his hand on the table. "Well then...It'd be a hassle if I got found out by certain annoying individuals." He said, his back to them. "I should be-"
"WAIT!"
A womans voice was heard screaming. Everyone's eyes looked around, startled. Undertaker paused, slowly turning around. There stood Aurora, sweat rolling down her cheek. Aurora took off her hat, her long red hair flowing down her back. All the men stared, in shock. They all assumed she had been a man.
"Well I'll be...Little Aurora...I was wondering when you would show your face again..." He said with a smile, sitting back down in his chair, very amused. He intertwined his fingers again. He could only wonder what she had to say. Sebastian looked at Ciel, waiting to issue an order. Ciel said nothing, wanting to see what would happen.
Aurora then pulled out Undertaker's lockets, making him smile fondly at them "Heres your fucking lockets." . She chucked them at him, making him reach out and snatch it delicately. He raised an eyebrow at her curiously. "Is there some point to this m'dear?"
"Cut the bullshit. I want you to think back for a moment. The moment we made love. Remember when you looked at me, in the eye...And said...We are two different species...But yet...Our bond is strong..." Aurora paused, wondering how she should say it.
"You are getting at something...Yeeeees~?" Asked a rather bored Undertaker.
"Don't talk to me like that, asshole...How could you leave me...After all we've been through...And you didn't just leave me alone..." She then bit her lip. The emotions and energy seeping from her were through the roof. It felt as though time had stopped completely for them, and everyone else was in the ether, just watching...
"But with a demon...And left me a vulnerable...single...mother..." She said the last words in almost a whisper.
An unsettling silence filled the area. Undertaker had frozen completely, as if he didn't hear her correctly.
Aurora continued on. "You told me...That I could never bare you a child because we are different..." Aurora narrowed her eyes. The anger, the flame was burning in her chest. She had to tell him now or it would be too late. "You were wrong...We are more alike then you think..." She then felt at her stomach. "I am pregnant, Undertaker...I am pregnant..."
For a moment, it seemed like Undertaker was a statue, like he wasn't alive at all. The men around the table stared at them, obviously not understanding what was going on. Then, he lifted his hand, slowly lifting his hat up to stare at her, with cloudy looking eyes. He stared for the longest time, as if trying to understand, or even comprehend what she said. His voice was a low whisper, as if he wanted to keep the conversation private.
"...That is not possible..."
Aurora went up to the table, stepping closer to him. She then knelt down, taking Herman's arm and healing it quickly, earning a shocked look from him. Healing was about almost she could manage with her powers. She then snapped her head to Undertaker. It was a tense moment between them.
"Deny all you fucking want. You got me pregnant. You are a fucking reaper. You should sense it." She then slammed her hands on the table, the anger rose in her voice. "CAN YOU NOT SENSE THE LIFE IN MY WOMB?! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA, WHAT THE FUCK KIND OF DANGER YOU PUT ME THROUGH?! DO YOU NOT LOVE ME AT ALL?! DID YOU JUST USE ME LIKE ANY OTHER DISGUSTING MAN?!" She screeched at him, tears falling from her face. "I should fucking kill you for what you have done..."
Suddenly, she gasped and fell forward, leaning against the table. "...Nugh..." Pain ricochet through her. What was happening? She wasn't having a miscarriage. And it was obviously too early to give birth. So what was wrong? Undertaker watched her with emotionless eyes, obviously not able to comprehend something like this. It was like he was fighting his acting skills.
"If I may...She does not lie. I was the first to sense of the life in her." Sebastian said in a cold tone, making Undertaker snap his head to look at him with menacing eyes. All demons could sense souls. So it had to be true. And she was sporting a bigger belly then last time he saw her...How was this possible?
Aurora then lifted her head. "U-Undertaker...Please...G-get me out of here...I can't do this... " She didn't want to admit her weakness. But she was completely helpless. "Help me, Undertaker...Please...I need you...For fucks sakes help me!" She pleaded with teary eyes.
Still, Undertaker did nothing but stare at her. Was she telling the truth? Was this a trick to make him come back? No, the pain was clear on her face. The tears were real. The anger was real...The baby was real...The life in her...was real...He could feel it now, the heartbeat, the soul. The soon to be soul...With a conscious...Stirring...
The color suddenly drained from Aurora's face. She felt light headed. Her vision was shaking. The world was spinning. When it became clear Undertaker was going to do something, Ciel gave the order. "GET HIM SEBASTIAN!"
"As you wish!" Said Sebastian, dashing towards him. But suddenly, Agares came in front of Aurora and Undertaker, blocking him effectively. Undertaker had Aurora in his arms. For she had fainted. Undertaker's eyes were hidden now, but it was clear he was rethinking what he was doing. It was like he was frozen in time.
"...As I thought..." Started Sebastian. "You're dead as well. Mr. Agares! That was that strange feeling I had felt back then..." Sebastian finished. Undertaker then lept onto the brick wall, Aurora over his shoulder. "Yes...He was full of episodes. He's my masterpiece. For now at least." He then snapped his fingers, the ground below Sebastian and everyone elses feet shook. Zombies crawled out of the ground like some classic horror movie.
Aurora opened her eyes slightly. Was she being held? What was happening? She heard screams... She could see brick under her. She let out a gasp as pain ran through her. Undertaker glanced at her briefly, before watching Ciel struggle below. "Even though they're all phantomhives...He's different from his ancestors...Interesting..." He said with a fanged grin.
"You seem to be in a hurry. Do you think you can keep me down like this?" Asked a amused Sebastian. "You underestimate me..."
Undertaker chuckled, putting Aurora in a bridal style hold. "I'm not underestimating you at all...It's just...That we have different goals..." His eyes looked down at Aurora. She looked back at him with wide eyes. Was he really taking her back?
Sebastian looked startled. He then flipped over, smashing the zombies head into the ground. He then rushed for his young master Ciel. Undertaker jumped the opposite way. "As expected of you, butler..."
They locked eyes with each other for the longest time. Each showing their hated for each other. He landed on the other side of the brick wall, right below the half moon in the distance. "You should keep protecting the young earl...With such devotion..." He then wiggled his hips in a twerking motion, mocking the butler.
"Hee Hee! See You!" He then took off with lightning speed, holding Aurora close to him.
Aurora had no idea what was going on. She felt incredibly weak. She couldn't even talk. Even breathing was difficult. She felt him running. Leaping around. He was going so fast she was getting vertigo. She kept looking at him every time she could. He didn't look at her. He was too focused on getting far away as possible. She soon fainted in his arms. At least...she got what she wanted.
But would Undertaker come to accept what was to happen? Or did he already accept it? What would the future hold for them? They were both on the run from the law now. Aurora was more in danger of losing her child...Their child...
He was a father...A father...
