Please review if you liked it and want me to write more.
Disclaimer : i don't own Fairy Tail but i do own my oc's (Blue, Tadao and Lilith)
Juvia's POV
I take a deep breath as we step off the train at Crocus, it smells of flowers as usual and everyone seems happy on the surface but there is an undercurrent of fear running through the air. I guess it's because of the dark mage Lilith killing 3 magic council officials. The forest that Lilith was sighted in is just bordering the edge of the capital. There are flowers everywhere; the Flower Blooming Capital definitely stands up to its name. The buildings are also very decorative and beautiful.
I look over at Gray and Blue, they look so much alike. I like Blue; she's very strong but, like me, also cares a lot about Gray. They seem very close and I can tell Gray is happy to have her back. They had a hard childhood and I'm just glad they've been reunited.
Blue looks over at me smiling. 'Do you have the request with the meeting place on Juvia?' I jump, derailed from my train of thought. Of course, a representative of the council was going to meet us about Lilith. 'Y-yes', I stutter, holding the request out to her and blushing.
She reads out the meeting place, 'The Magia Cafe'. Gray raised his eyebrow in surprise and confusion. 'They want to meet us in a cafe, in the open, where anyone can hear us?' He shrugged at the strange choice.
Blue and Gray both started down a little lane, I frowned at their backs. 'Um guys?' they turned around with 'what?' looks at me. I sighed; they really were brother and sister. 'Do you two actually know where you're going?'
Their mouths hung open and they held up a finger at the same time to make a point then stopped and just stood there. Gray put a hand at the back of his head and grinned sheepishly at me. 'No', they admitted. I melted inside at his smile then laughed at them. I turned round and started walking in the complete opposite direction they had been going.
I heard two pairs of footsteps come up behind me and knew the twins were following me. We walked for a little while, taking in the gorgeous architecture and filling Blue in on what Gray had been doing all the years they had been separated. 'And then we got transported to a different world called Edolas, and that's where the exceeds come from and there are opposites of us there and I wear loads of clothes all the time and… and…' Gray stopped briefly to breathe. Blue's eyes were massive and she was hanging onto every word he said.
I stopped as I spotted the pretty sign saying 'The Magia Cafe', it was hand painted blue with yellow sparks around it. Unfortunately Gray was so absorbed in telling his story and Blue listening to it that they didn't notice I'd stopped and we ended in a sprawled pile on the ground.
'Sorry' Blue and Gray groaned. Blue stood up and dusted herself off, staring up at the sign. I blushed as I realised that Gray was still tangled up with me. He seemed oblivious as he tried to untangle himself, frowning in concentration and narrowing his deep blue eyes. He looked over at me 'a little help...' then broke off as he saw my pink cheeks. 'Ahem', he looked down at the ground and stood up, I thought I saw his cheeks go red but I brushed it off as my imagination.
He offered his hand to me, still looking away. I smiled at the thoughtful gesture and gripped his hand. He pulled me up off the floor. I dusted myself down, 'thanks'. He gave me a little smile, 'no problem'. We just sort of stood there avoiding eye contact awkwardly until Blue looked over at us.
'This is the place', she walked inside and we followed. I liked the cafe as soon as we walked in, it had a warm, homey atmosphere and the food smelt delicious. 'Mmmmm, can we order some food', I practically begged. Blue and Gray nodded, their eyes shut, breathing in the heavenly smells.
We sat down at one of the fancy metal tables on tall stools. I ordered a chocolate cupcake and those two weird siblings had ice cream. I sighed; looking at Gray's vanilla and Blue's mint choc chip but didn't say anything. I took a bite of my cupcake and my stomach gave a happy noise, it was delicious.
'I see you're enjoying the food', a deep voice came from behind me and I felt a hand on my shoulder. I jumped up, my eyes wide. Gray and Blue did the same, adopting fighting stances.
I turned round to see a brown haired man with blue eyes standing behind me. He wasn't wearing a council uniform but he held a certain aura about him that told me he was. 'Sorry', he apologised to me. I shook my head, heart still hammering in my chest. Blue and Gray relaxed but still looked at him suspiciously.
'My name is Tadao Arjas. I'm from the magic council; you must be the Fairy Tail mages. I'm here to talk to you about Lilith'. We nodded. He smiled warmly at us then put on a serious expression.
'So you know about the exploits of Lilith then?' he told us. 'Yes, that she murdered three magic council officials and now she's been seen in the woods not far from here' I said, finishing off the cupcake, it didn't seem as appealing now.
Tadao nodded. 'Do you know why she did it?' Gray asked leaning forward. Tadao hesitated then shook his head. 'No, I can't think why she would want to kill them; she's a blood magic user so it wasn't a pretty sight'. Blue paled at the thought. 'Although… the higher ups on the council did mention that a certain object was missing from each of the victims however they won't tell us what'. I frowned at the council's suspicious behaviour.
'Do you know why she's hiding out in the woods?' Blue asked. Tadao shook his head again. 'I guess she's hiding from the council and any mages that accepted our request or…' he trailed off, his face darkening. 'Or what?' Blue asked uneasily. 'Or maybe she got whatever she wanted from killing those officials…' Gray breathed in sharply, 'you mean what was missing on the bodies?' Tadao nodded solemnly.
'We can't waste any more time then, we need to hunt down Lilith and fast before she kills anyone else who has this mysterious thing on them.' I said. Blue and Gray nodded. 'Good luck' Tadao waved goodbye to us as we left the pretty cafe.
It was dark and cold as we stepped outside, a harsh contrast to the warm cafe. 'We should probably find an inn to stay in', I suggested, rubbing my hand up my arm and shivering. Blue and Gray nodded, unaffected by the cold weather. We booked into a cosy inn called 'The Icy heart'. Blue and I shared a room and Gray got one to himself. I blushed at the thought of having Gray near. I got changed and into bed then looked over at Blue, she looked troubled. 'Goodnight' I called. She turned and smiled. 'Goodnight'.
I had almost fallen asleep when I heard Blue mumbling and thrashing around in her sleep, crying for her parents. I got out of my bed and tiptoed over to hers. Her face was pale and I could see small tears leaking out of her eyes. 'Blue!' I shook her lightly. She yelled louder and thrashed around more. I shook her even harder, 'Blue!' I whisper-shouted. She woke with a start, sitting up and looking around, dazed and panicked.
'Hey it's alright', I said comfortingly, rubbing her back. 'It's just me'. She looked at me wide eyed then turned to the door as we heard a worried shout from Gray. 'Are you guys alright? I heard shouting.'
'No we're fine', Blue said, her voice a bit shaky. 'Are you sure?' asked Gray, sounding every bit like the protective older brother. Blue looked at me, her eyes pleading. 'Yeah, we're okay', I yelled back, my eyes never leaving Blue for a second. 'If you say so…' Gray sounded unsure. 'They said they were alright so just shut up!' a sleepy patron yelled from down the hall, his voice getting louder at the end of the sentence. I felt Gray hesitate outside the door then heard him go back to his room and I sighed in relief.
I looked over at Blue, 'are you alright?' I asked her a stupid question. She shook her head, wiping away the tears that had rolled down her cheeks. 'Was it about your parents?' I asked. She nodded, her eyes in shadows. I took her hand. 'Its okay' I smiled 'I'll stay like this till you fall asleep'. She smiled at me gratefully. She closed her eyes and eventually her breathing slowed. I yawned then fell asleep myself.
