Okay it's been awhile so I will need to get back into the hang of things. Thank you.

10 years later…

"Jane I need you to come inside now, we have something to show you." An older women around 50 or so calls out.

"I'll be there in a moment Alice!" A young girl with long light brown hair shouts as she makes her way up a hill that her home is on. Albion has gotten worse over the years with King Logan on the throne. The factory workers in bowerstone have begun to fight back and chaos has erupted, crime has increased and death is at every corner. The girl opens the door to her farmhouse, "I'm here, Alice." She says hanging up her things.

"Oh, Jane my dear it seems like only yesterday when you were a little girl running around with Maurice." The older woman says pointing to the older and fatter beagle dog.

The girl known as Jane rolls her eyes and smiles, "I'm not little anymore Alice. I'm going to be 19 tomorrow." She walks and bends down to pet the sleepy fat dog.

The older woman called Alice claps her hands and smiles, "Oh another big day for you! Come here I have an early birthday present for you!" she gestures Jane to come forward and pulls out a large black box.

"Alice, I have something to tell you-" Jane's words were interrupted by the opening and closing of a door.

"I'm home and ugh very tired." A man a little older looking than Alice comes into the room and smiles, "Reaver's got us working 16 hours instead of 12." He says in a neutral tone.

Alice goes and hugs the greasy looking man and kisses him on the cheek, "Come john I was just about to show Jane what we got for her." She takes his hand and places him on a wooden chair.

Jane smiles at john, "Don't worry, once things calm down with King Logan and the protests I'm sure things at the factory will go back to normal."

John smiles and looks at Jane, "Look at you, all grown up. I'm sure Maurice is still tired out from all the years you two decided to run around and go on little adventures." He bends down and pets the sleeping beagle that lies next to his feet.

Alice comes in and places the large black box on the kitchen table with a huff, "I can't believe I remembered where it was after all these years." She chuckles.

John and Alice stand and smile at Jane, "Well go on then, open it." They gesture to the box and John puts his arm around Alice.

Jane smiles as she carefully lifts the lid of the box and suddenly looks in awe as a beautifully decorated clockwork pistol lays on a red velvet pillow in front of her, "I-It's beautiful."

John places a hand on her shoulder, "It's called the Dragonstomper .48 there were 5 but were stolen by Reaver and now you possess the 6th" he points to her holster that is hanging up, "And by the looks of that you seem like you'd take good care if it."

Jane smiles and carefully lifts the pistol from its red throne, "It's surprisingly light." She says examining it.

"We thought it'd be the right gift for your 19th birthday" Alice says as she walks over and hugs john.

Jane suddenly feels a sudden sadness come over her and frowns putting the pistol back on its red throne, "I need to tell you guys something."

Alice and john sit down and a look of concern appears on their faces, "what is it, Jane?"

Jane sighs, "I-I think it's time that I go and find my father's killer." She immediately sees the look of sadness spread across Alice's face, "Alice, john you guys have always been there for me when I needed you most whether it was when I scrapped my knee or when Maurice would take Albert away from me. I love you guys and I always will but I just think that-"

"THAT YOU DON'T NEED US ANYMORE!" Alice shouts and runs to her room crying.

John pats Jane on the shoulder and hands her the Dragonstomper, "I'll calm her down. Why don't you go and try out your new toy." John smiles and walks to the room Alice is in.

Jane goes out and sets up old bottles along the farm fence, "Why can't she understand?" she mumbles as she aims for a bottle, "I'm not alittle girl anymore." Six shots fire and all six bottles shatter into air.

"Maybe it's because she loves you and still remembers the little girl that we found in the woods." A voice says as a figure walks toward her.

"I know, I know I just was expecting her to react that way-"

"How else did you expect her to react?" John says as he makes his way to Jane. Jane says nothing and begins to reload the pistol, "You know the first time we saw you, you were covered in blood and crying. Mine and Alice's heart melted and we took care of you but it took us awhile to even get you to talk to us." He chuckles, "stubborn little thing you were…and still are."

Jane aims for more bottles, "I know and I thank you guys for that, everything that you did for me that other people wouldn't I am so grateful for that." Six more bottles shatter in the air.

John smiles, "I think you should go find your father's killer but not only that start a life of your own, have some kids, buy a house and maybe visit for the holidays."

Jane smiles, "Now if you could only get Alice to say the same thing."

"She agrees with me. I know she does."

Jane fires one last shot before placing her gun in her holster, "I think I should go pack my bag then."
