Cause there's no comfort in the waiting room
Just nervous pacers bracing for bad news
And then the nurse comes round and everyone will lift their heads
But I'm thinking of what Sarah said that "Love is watching someone die"
Jane awoke in a field of wildflowers, dressed in a yellow dress that glistened in the sun, she looked around saw a single tree on a hill with a mysterious figure leaning against it. She felt so happy as the wind took her wavy hair and as her bare feet his the soft ground, she felt like running and so she did.
"It's about time you found me." The figure was revealed to be a large man that looked almost like Jane, green eyes, small nose, and brown hair.
"So you're my father." She said standing next to the man.
"Yes."
"Where am I?"
"Well right now you're in a place you've always wanted to be."
"Im dead."
"No."
Jane sat down and look out into the never ending field of flowers, "I'm not ready to die."
Jane's father sat down next to her, "It's up to you." He chuckled, "You are just like your mother, brave, caring and beautiful." Jane frowned and her mind was now battling with her emotions and decisions. Did she want to stay?
Then it hit her, she needed to finish something and so she got up hugged her father, "See you soon." And ran until the world was once again a black void.
"Jane please wake up, please." There was someone holding her hand, Jane opened her green eyes and gasped.
"BEN." She hugged him as tight as she could and tucked her face into his neck.
"Thank Avo, I…we…thought you weren't going to wake up."
"The others, they're alive!"
"Yes but-" a large scruffy man came in with loud footsteps.
"Ben the prince needs your assistance" Walter smiled at Jane, "It's good to see you're awake, Jane."Jane smiled and watched as Ben slowly got up, winking at her before he exited the hut. Jane smiled and suddenly it hit her, Where was Reaver?
"Reaver, where is that annoying deviant?" she asked but Walter just frowned, "What?" Jane was starting to shake.
Walter held out his hand too her, "Just come with me." She took his hand and he led her to the other side of the hut.
There was that annoying deviant lying on a stone slab with a wet towel laying on his head, "Oh god this is my fault…I should've gotten him out of that fucking cave sooner." She was tensing up but the longer she stared at the hero the harder it got to hold in her tears.
She was brought into a bear hug by Walter who acted as a towel to absorb her tears, "It's not your fault." Jane hugged tighter and cried.
Walter left Jane to look after Reaver while the others went to celebrate with the aurorans because of the promise the prince made to them. Jane took Reaver's hand and watched him squirm in his slumber, she felt him tighten his grip from time to time, "I'm sorry Reaver."
"It's not your fault." She didn't here Ben come in.
"It should've been me."
Ben frowned, "Come on Jane you can't actually care for this promiscuous bigot."
Jane pushed him away, "Are you kidding me? What if this was you Ben?" Ben said nothing, "Get out." Jane pushed him and went back to holding Reaver's hand as the nightmares tormented him.
