December, date unknown
I just woke up from my nap there's still a blizzard outside. I'm pretty hungry, and cold, but I forgot to bring food and there's nothing to keep me warm except my snow gear. Even if I did want to go back to Dimmsdale there's no way I could make it through the blizzard, so I have no idea what Jorgen was thinking. Would it have killed him to bring some pizza?
Anyway, since I have no food or nothing to do I'm pretty bored. Doidle keeps whimpering for something to eat, just like the twerp when I babysit in the evenings, but I don't have anything to give him so he has to suffer just like I do. All I can do is sit around and think about where I'm going to go or how my family is doing without me. I can't help but wonder if they're even going to buy me Christmas gifts now. I bet if I go back on Christmas day there won't be a single gift for me under the tree.
Speaking of the holidays I can't even remember what I asked for. I know I need more flamethrower fuel but my parents probably don't even know where to buy that. There was the new Chip Skylark CD that just came out too.
Okay, this cave is giving me the creeps! I could've sworn I just heard someone say my name! Anyway, I'm going to explore around for a bit until I can find something.
…
Okay, so something crazy just happened! Doidle and I were wandering around the tunnels, trying to find water or something. We went into this one tunnel and suddenly Doidle started barking happily. I looked around and saw myself step out of the shadows!
"W-What the heck is going on?" I demanded.
"I'm you, well, your guide anyway. I'm here to send you on a self searching journey."
"Uh huh, and you just happen to look like me?"
"Well normally I look much shorter, and balder, but I was told to show up like this because the only person you'll listen to is yourself. These glasses are annoying by the way."
"Yeah, tell me about it. So, I'm guessing Jorgen sent you here?"
My doppelganger nodded.
"Alright," I gave in, "I'll go; but we gotta swing by a pizza place later!"
"Okay, let's start our journey! I'm going to show you what the world would be like if you'd never been born!"
The other me threw something onto the ground and smoke filled the cavern. When it cleared I found myself smack dab in the middle of my living room. I expected to see my sister running around giggling madly but instead I saw my Uncle Vic sleeping on the couch. My parents were standing a foot away from him, exchanging nervous glances.
"I-I can't tell him now, he's sleeping," my mom stuttered.
"Well I'm not telling him," my dad whispered.
"What's going on? Where's Tootie, and why is that loser sleeping on our couch?"
"With you out of the picture there was nobody to scare Vic off, so he mooches off your parents as much as he can. It looks like they're thinking about kicking him out again but I doubt they'll go through with it; they never do. As for your sister, she doesn't exist."
"Huh?"
"Your parents only had her because you kept begging them for a sibling, so because you were never born she wasn't either."
So if it wasn't for me my parents wouldn't have their precious golden child. Jorgen should've sent my folks on this trip so they could learn to appreciate me more.
"So my parents have two less kids to neglect; big deal."
The other me rolled her eyes.
"You think they're the only ones who were affected? You have a lot to learn. Let me show you what Dimmsdale looks like in a world without Victoria Denise Flanagan."
Ugh, I hate it when people say my full name, because it reminds me of Uncle Vic. When I was born my dad arrived late and my mom was knocked out cold, so my Uncle Vic thought it would be hilarious to not only name me after him but also to give me the middle name Denise, because it sounds like Da Niece. Although, if he hadn't done that then my name would probably be Tootie, so I guess I kind of owe him.
Anyway my crazy clone grabbed me by the arm and dragged me outside. Everything looked normal, except for the flags. Instead of there being American flags waving around there were purple flags with Lauren's face on them.
"Confused? I'll explain," the other me said. "Without you hogging all the kids as your clients Lauren and her club got all the business and used the kids to conquer the city."
"Whoa, hold on! I've spent the last few months trying to get revenge on the people of Dimmsdale and you're telling me that just by existing I was actually keeping the city safe?"
"Ironic, isn't it? You know, I'm willing to bet that ever since you left Lauren and her friends have been accelerating their plans. If you don't hurry up and go back you probably won't ever be able to take control of the city. So, are you ready to go home?"
"Hm…so, if I do go back the people of Dimmsdale will be safe and I'll be completely miserable, and if I don't then the townspeople will suffer and I'll end up some place better. Hm…uh—NO!"
The other me wiped the spit off her face and scowled.
"Jorgen warned me that you'd be stubborn, but no matter, I'll get you to change your mind yet! This isn't over Vicky!"
My clone snapped her fingers and she disappeared. Also I'd left the Lauren controlled city and found myself back in the cave. I have no idea if that trip actually happened (if it did I'll be pissed cuz that phony didn't get me anything to eat!) or if the lack of TV is starting to get to me, but whatever the case is I need to get out of here as soon as possible!
On the plus side I know what else I want for Christmas, but I probably won't get it! All I really want for Christmas this year is to lose these stupid glasses and to get some contacts! I could probably steal some but I forgot what my prescription strength is, so that'd be a waste of my time.
Well I'm going to take a nap or something. I hope the blizzard dies out soon. Later!
A/N: Oh Vicky, you are so, so stubborn. Jorgen's really got his hands full this time around. Well let me know what you think about this chapter and the story.
