After a furious investigation, the Board of Governors concluded there was nothing to indicate that the claim Draco Malfoy had been turned into a blueberry was true. So far, Wonka had keep his promise to not use his candy inventions around students. This did not shake off the suspicions of a fifth-year Gryffindor girl, however. Severus, oblivious to Hermione's suspicion, was far more concerned with the reaction of Lucius Malfoy. That man did not simply let things go. No doubt he was plotting something against Wonka already.
Severus was grading papers. The students had preformed far better on the Pollyjuice essay this time around. Wonka raced into the Potion's room.
"Severus! You must see this!"
"Have you broken your agreement to Dumbledore to not use your inventions in public?" Severus asked cautiously.
Wonka shook his head. "I most certainly have not. I made a miraculous discovery that will probably benefit us."
Severus sighed. "Very well, I'm slightly intrigued."
Severus followed Wonka up the staircase to the seventh floor. Wonka pranced down the corridor than stopped before a wall.
"I see nothing of great significance," Severus said.
"Just wait," Wonka urged.
Within a few seconds, a doorway appeared in the wall. Severus was stunned.
"Did you do that?" Severus asked.
"I'm not a wizard," Wonka observed, opening the door, "follow me."
Severus carefully walked into the door, and the pair walked down a hallway until they reached another door.
"Open it," Wonka said eagerly.
Severus opened the door and gasped. It was Wonka's chocolate room.
"How is this possible?" Severus asked.
Wonka shrugged. "I have no idea, but it'll make it easier for us to run the factory and teach at Hogwarts."
"I suppose Dumbledore created this for us?" Severus suggested.
"In any case, I'm working on an unbreakable licorice I'd like to show you," Wonka said as they walked toward the flying glass elevator.
"Headmaster!" Lucius Malfoy stomped into the Head's office in outrage.
"Hello, Lucius," Dumbledore greeted cheerfully, "would you like a lemon drop?"
"I'm afraid I am not hungry," Lucius muttered darkly,"I have something of significance to show you."
Lucius slammed the latest edition of the Quibbler on his table. It had a picture of Draco as a blueberry on the cover, with the caption Professor Wonka Spices Up Hogwarts.
"This was selling like mad at the news stand outside the Ministry," Lucius said angrily, "everyone seem to find it funny. I, however, am curious as to what in the name of Merlin you are up to?"
"Do you have an accusation to make against me, Lucius?" Dumbledore asked.
"This is quite obviously a photograph of Draco," Lucius snarled, "I hear rumors your new Muggle Studies teacher turned my son into a blueberry!"
"What a unusual charge," Dumbledore responded, "do you believe it?"
"I was told the Board of Governors investigated the matter!"
"And, should you have the time to read their report, you'll see they concluded no such event occurred," Dumbledore countered.
"Fire Wonka or I'll go higher up in the Ministry, and drag your name through the mud" Lucius threatened.
"To whom?" Dumbledore asked, "Fudge and Umbridge are gone, and Scrimgeour is unlikely to listen to a former Death Eater."
"Where is Severus?" Lucius demanded, "He's the only one in this building that might see reason."
"Your welcome to search for him, as I do not spy on my teacher's whereabouts," Dumbledore informed him, "Good day, Lucius."
"Good day, Headmaster," Lucius responded as he exited the Head's Office.
Hermione Granger wandered the seventh floor. See had seen Snape and Wonka walk up this floor, but now she had lost them. Hermione paused and tried to rack her brains as to where they could be, when a doorway appeared out of nowhere.
Hermione eyes rose in astonishment. This wasn't here before, she thought to herself. This was probably where Snape and Wonka had gone. Unsure whether or not she would end up in trouble, Hermione decided that the chance of finding out Wonka's secrets was worth the chance; her marks could win back any points she might lose easily. Hermione opened the door and entered the room.
Lucius was stunned at what he had just witnessed. While looking for Severus on the seventh floor, he had watched a doorway appear out of nowhere and the Granger girl walk through it. Lucius was very curious as to what the Muggle-born could be up to. He was supposed to be finding Severus to get justice for Draco, but he suddenly had a new concern.
Draco will simply have to bathe himself for once, Lucius sneered to himself as he opened the door and walked down the mysterious hallway before him.
