Kevin smirked happily as he watched from the RV a few metres away from the scene of Max lecturing Ben. Kevin chuckled evilly as he sat on the steps. "Whatcha doing?" suddenly his smirk dropped. He turned to see Gwen with an arched eyebrow and a soda can in one hand and the other on her hip. "Nothin" He simply stated shrugging his shoulders non-caringly.

Gwen didn't believe him though. She came over and sat down next to him watching the scene and sipping on the soda. "Hey, Where's mine" Kevin asked pettily. Gwen shrugged closing her eyes.

"In the fridge" She simply replied sipping on the cold fizzy juice. "Huh, Never saw it that way" He turned his head towards the two coming over to them; one pouting the other sighing. That changed though when he saw the redhead sitting there.

She didn't acknowledge his caring eyes nor even notice them. No she had something else on her mind; Someone else on her mind. She turned to Ben wondering what their conversation was about. She knew he would tell her; he always would...he always does. Ben pouted looking over to Gwen with scared sorrowful eyes.

Kevin smiled at his unhappy expression. He frowned as Gwen got up staring at the two of them. "What's up?" She asked mainly directed towards Ben. 'Why was she even asking that?' Kevin thought to himself.

'She's been a slave for a month and she's asking why he's upset?' He thought to himself arching his eyebrow towards her.

"Ben and I just needed to have a little chat, that's all" Max responded to her idly rubbing the back of his neck. "Oh, Kay" Gwen replied awkwardly as she stared at both of them until Ben shoved passed her. It was gently but ignorant at the same time. A gasped escaped her lips though; his shoulder was soft.

"What's wrong with Ben?" Gwen asked concerned clasping her drink in two hands and looking over to her boyfriend. Kevin wasn't too fond of the stare. 'Why would she care? How could she care? but then the answer was simple; it was Gwen. "Who cares" Kevin shook his head away turning towards Max. It wasn't the answer Gwen was looking for. She stared daggers to him as Max came over forcing a smile towards both of them. "We're off Gwen" Max stated brushing the deal off like it was nothing.

'Great' Gwen thought. 'Stuck alone doing chores for 'Master'' she mocked rolling her eyes. "How long did you say you guys were going for?" Gwen asked her eyes widened looking innocent. "Just two nights Gwen" Max stated placing a hand on her shoulder caringly. "Then we're heading to Washington" He told her calmly. Real calmly. Gwen smiled though; she would actually have a girl to hang out with instead of being stuck with a bunch of boys for her whole summer. Max noticed her happy gaze and smiled back.

"I'll see you in two days" He kissed her on the forehead.

"No more" He added.

"If something goes wrong you call us, got it" Max passed her the emergency phone. She just nodded silently before he walked off picking up a bag and lugging it towards the dense forest. Kevin came over to her swinging the bag over his shoulder. "Be careful" Gwen stated warningly. Kevin just smirked.

'Same old Gwen' He thought kissing her on the lips before walking off.

"Hey wait up Max" He called out rushing up to him. Gwen just snickered lightly before shaking her head and turning around only to notice a shadow towering over her. She looked up to see Ben with a devious and sly expression casted over his face. Gwen's eyes widened. This wasn't going to end well.

so this was just a short interlude chapter if your wondering. I wanted to leave this chapter as a cliffhanger for the scenes with Ben getting up to mischief. Tell me what you think and don't forget to leave a review.
