*Dean's POV*

I meet up with Roman, Jimmy and Jey after work while Leah hangs out with the girls. Walking around the mall before leaving, we stop by the food court to get something to drink before leaving. We wanted to go to the store that we had visited a few times to check on our suits for graduation to see if they were ready or not.

"I can't wait for the summer." Said Roman as we walked out into the parking lot. "The beach, staying up all night, regretting it in the morning if my parents make me get a job."

We chuckled, and agreed as we got to his car. "We have to make this the best summer possible. We're all splitting up when the summer's over."

I frowned, knowing that it was true. But then I remembered what Leah and I talked about and thought I could suggest it. "We should have a party with all of us at the end of the summer. One last blowout before we have to go to college."

"That would be nice." Said Jimmy, agreeing to it. "We could get everyone together and have one last hoorah before college. We should do it."

"Anybody have any ideas on where we could have it?" I asked.

We all thought for a moment as Roman started driving. "That depends. When exactly is the party going to be?"

"How about the last weekend before everybody has to go to orientation?" I asked Roman and start moving in.

"If we're talking about that weekend, we have a few places in mind." Said Roman with a smile. "My parents are going to be out of town that weekend. But we have to make sure that we get the place cleaned up after the party is over. Yes, I said 'we'. You're not leaving me to clean up all of that mess that's bound to appear after the party, all by myself."

"We got you." I tell him as I pat him on his shoulder. "Listen, we're all going to make this a hell of a good summer."

After we got to the store, we go in and talk to the woman who came up to us. She was a petitie woman with blonde hair and green eyes and looked as if she was either athletic, or she just liked to work out. Her name tag read: 'Mindy'

"We're here to check on our suits." Roman told her before giving her our names. We followed her to her desk as she checked on the computer and smiled up at us.

"It's all ready for you guys." She told us. "Would you like to try them on before we ring you guys up?"

An hour later...

"What's in that crazy head of yours?" Roman asks me as I put in my half of the total for the suits.

"Nothing." I tell him, shaking off the thoughts in my head.

The Samoan looks over at me and gives me a face. "I know you, Dean. And well enough to know when you have something in that head of yours."

I helped him out with the bags as we get ready to walk out of the store. "I've been thinking about something for the last two weeks. I just don't know what to do about it."

"What do you mean?" He asks me. "Is it a good thing, whatever this thought is that you have?"

"Maybe." I reply with a small smile. "What's one of the things that I never thought I would ever do or even think about, other than finishing high school and going to college?"

Roman thought for a moment before his eyes widened. "Is it what I think it is?"

I gave him a smile. "What exactly are you thinking?"

"You know damn well what I'm thinking." He tells me as he elbows as we both chuckle. "Does Leah know?"

"No, I haven't told her about it. I haven't even mentioned anything about it, or given any hints." I tell him. "I don't want her to know. Not yet."

"How come you don't know what to do about it?" Asked Roman.

I looked over at him as we get into the car. "Because I never thought it would happen to me and now that it has, I don't know what to do."

"I'll help you out." Roman offered. "But you have to make sure that it's something that you 100% want and that you're not going to back out of. I want you to be happy and to be happy with your decision. I love Leah, we all do. We can tell how much you do, too."

That night...

I laid in bed with Leah, watching as she looks like she's about to fall asleep while I play with her hair. She rested her head on my chest as I wrapped her in my arms. We, especially Leah, liked to spend our nights like this.

"Dean?" Leah asks.

"Yeah?" I ask as I look down.

"What do you think college will be like?" She asks softly. "What about how the real world will be like when we graduate from there?"

I thought for a moment. "Hopefully the real world would treat us better than how it has been our whole lives, to this point. I don't know how college will be like though. Maybe a lot more work and more responsibilities."

"We know a bit about responsibilities, don't you think?" Leah asks.

I give her a smile as I catch her yawning in the cutest way. "Yeah, we do. Have you heard from Derek since we last saw him?"

"No, I haven't." She replies. "I don't want to talk to him. I'm absolutely done with him. There's no way that I can ever trust him now so there's no reason for him to be trying any further to get that trust back from me."

"Us against the world?" I ask.

Leah smiles up at me. "Us against the world. I love you."

"I love you, too." I tell her and give her a kiss before watching her finally fall asleep a few minutes later.

*John's POV*

"What are you moping around for?" I ask my son who hasn't been wanting anything to do with Vaness and I over the last few days.

"Nothing, dad. I'm fine." He replies. "I don't want to talk about it."

I sigh and run my fingers through my hair. "Is it about Leah? The two of you don't hang out anymore like you used to."

"Because she knows that I'm messing around with Vanessa." He tells me.

"She messes around with Dean." I tell him.

Derek looks up at me. "He's her boyfriend. Vanessa and I aren't a couple. Why does it matter to you anyways? You don't like Dean."

"Because he stands in the way of me getting Leah." I tell him as I sit next to him in his room.

"Dad, you're still married to her mother. Remember?" He asks.

"And if she ever finds out, you know she'll leave." I said. "That would give Leah a hell of a lot more of a reason to not want to come our way."

Derek sighed and got up to walk around his room. "Dad, you know Leah and I have been really good friends and we were really close. But all of that was ruined with me messing around with Vanessa."

"You know you liked what you got with Vanessa, so stop fussing about it." I tell my son as I watch him stand by the window.

"Dad, getting what I wanted from her is what got Leah to lose trust in me." He tells me. "Now I've lost any chance that I've had on getting it back. So tell me, dad, what good will it do you if the one person that you want, can't trust me? What even makes you think that I'm going to keep going back to Vanessa?"

"Because there is nothing keeping you back from doing so." I tell him. "You messed around with Vanessa before Leah knew about it and you're telling me that after she found out and no longer trusts you, that you're going to stop? You obviously weren't thinking about that when you put it in Vanessa, so why are you all of sudden thinking with your brain instead of the other part?"

He stayed shut before putting his hands in his pockets. There was a knock on the door and we look to see that it was Vanessa. I invited her to come in as Derek tried to avoid her at the moment as she walked into the room.

"Graduation is coming up." Vanessa stated. "After this week, we're no longer high school students. What are we going to do now, because everything we've tried hasn't worked."

An idea was starting to form in my head. "What were their lives like before they met each other?"

"You should know at least a little bit about Leah." Says Derek. "You saw what they were like when you met her mother."

"No, I only saw what her mother wanted me to see and believe." I tell them. "I know that there is more to their lives than what we know. Thinking about it, I don't even know anything about Dean, other than his name and what he looks like. Vanessa, care to share anything?"

"Dean is going to know that it was me that told you." She tells me. "He knows that Derek knows absolutely nothing about him and the only reason that they know each other is because of Leah."

"Then we get Dean to get to know Derek." I say, looking at the two of them. "Let's get the two of you to hang out sometime."

"Absolutely not." Derek protested. "The guy hates my guts and as long as Leah is around, there is no way that it's going to happen. Dean doesn't trust me and he definitely doesn't trust me around her and he has no problem, whatsoever, in defending her if he feels and believes that he has to."

"Either you're going to have to see Dean by yourself, or hope that he doesn't kick your ass if Leah's around." Vanessa says.

"That's the thing, as long as Leah's around, Dean is going to be waiting on that moment where I screw up, to take that as a chance to kick my ass." Derek says. "And if Leah shows up, he probably won't mind dropping everything to go to her."

"But that'll go to any guy whether Dean trusts the guy or not." Vanessa adds. "Sitting back and looking at the two and their relationship, Dean loves her and she's his world. He will defend and protect her regardless of who the guy is. Make one wrong move and it's a wrap."

"We're going to have to be smart about this." I think out loud. "Very smart."

A/N: Do you think Dean will go over the top with this plan for Leah now that Roman has decided to help him out? What do you think John has planned for the couple? Does this mean that Derek is beginning to go over to John and Vanessa's side or was he always on their side to begin with?
