Gwen held her stomach in pain. It had been a week since the incident with Ben and she was still an emotional wreck. She didn't understand why she felt this way. She sighed as she stepped onto the scales noticing that she had gained a few pounds. She breathed out sharply before sitting down on the toilet seat.

"Okay, calm down Gwen, it's just a little weight no big deal" She told herself getting up and straightening herself out before walking out into the main room to see her grandfather standing there looking very concerned. "You okay kiddo" He brought her in for a hug. "Yeah, fine" She whispered hugging him back. "There's a doctors nearby I'm hoping we can stop at to get you looked at" He informed her as her eyes widened. "What? Why?" She asked.

"Because your not well" He placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. Gwen looked up at him tears threatening to spill. "I'm fine" She told him. She didn't understand why she was crying all of a sudden. Max touched her slightly red cheeks and brushed away the tears. "I know pumpkin, but it's just a check-up" He lied to her. Gwen sniffed nodding before looking down at her hands. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to snap at you"

Max smiled.

"When's the appointment?" She asked.

"Oh, in about 20 minutes so we better get going" He placed two hands on her back pushing her out the door.

Gwen sighed as she sat on the bed in a gown as the doctor began running off the obsessive questions. She rolled her eyes answering each and every one truthfully as he grandpa sat opposite her on a seat. "When was your last menstuation cycle, Miss Tennyson?" He asked taking note on a clipboard. "I don't know 4 maybe 5 weeks ago" Gwen looked up to him. "Why?" She asked angrily. "Just relax, it's alright" He told her. "Are you a smoker?"

"No,"

"Have you gained weight?"

"A little" Gwen clenched her teeth.

"Do you feel as though your emotions are getting in the way of reasoning, Miss Tennyson?"

"What's that supposed to mean?" He growled as Max placed a hand on her knee. "Gwen, he's just trying to help" He told her as Gwen calmed down. She breathed out. "I'm sorry" She whispered to him as he circled the yes box. "Have you had sex lately?"

Max's eyes widened.

"For god sake doctor, she's not even 16 yet" Max held her as Gwen's eyes lit up in shock. That's when she realised it. What if she were pregnant? What if Ben didn't pull out of her?

'Oh, god' She clenched her teeth.

"Miss Tennyson?" She stared up at the doctor.

"Yes?" She gulped. "Have you had sex?"

"N-No" She lied biting her bottom lip. "So you're not pregnant?" He asked her. "I don't...I mean no, no I'm not" Gwen felt extremely insulted. He shrugged shaking his head. "Please lay down Miss Tennyson" He told her as Gwen shook her head. "Why do you want her to lay down?" Max asked holding her. "Just to get an ultrasound of her stomach that's all"

Max nodded. "Okay"

"Gwen just lay down will you" He pushed her down. Gwen sighed in agitation. The doctor wrapped a blanket around her bottom half as Max lifted her gown up. The doctor then sat down and grabbed a bottle squeezing gel onto her stomach before placing the role on device onto her stomach and watching the screen. He noticed it instantly.

Small but noticable.

He removed the roller before passing her some tissues to rub down her stomach. "Miss Tennyson, there is a bathroom down the hall" He passed her a small box containing something. Gwen looked down noticing the pink and white on the box. "There's instructions on the side.

Please read and take the test" He pushed her outside before the doctor pushed her outside. "Is something wrong with her?" Max asked the doctor. He sighed. "Mr. Tennyson, I believe your granddaughter is pregnant" He sat down and began typing. "What?" Max sat down on the bed. "No," He whispered. In an instance Gwen came through the door holding the pregnancy test. The doctor smiled as he walked over to her taking it from her. "Ah, positive, just as I thought" He brought her over to sit down next to her grandfather. He couldn't bare to look at her right now. "What's going on?" She asked. Max turned to her. "Gwen, you lied to me" he crossed his arms. "What are you talking about?" She tensed. "Gwen, you're pregnant" He told her. Gwen gulped. "I-I" She felt like she were about to collapse. "Who was it with Gwen?" He demanded to know. She gulped looking down and mumbling. "What was that?" He asked. "Ben" She whispered as Max's eyes widened. "Your cousin?" He asked. She nodded as Max was about to faint. "Was this rape?" The doctor stood up. She shook her head. "Gwen, what happened?" He placed his hands on her shoulders. "Ben asked me to clean the bathroom as he went out for a walk, I heard a noise outside and I went to go investigate. I thought he was a zombie so I shot him. I helped him inside and I cleaned him up" Gwen avoided looking at them. "Then it just happened" She whispered. "Wait, did Ben take advantage of you?" He asked. "No," She snapped. "Well..." she bit her lip. "I don't know" She shook her head.

"It's alright Gwen" He told her. "Doctor, where's the nearest abortion clinic?" He asked. Gwen gulped. "I don't want to go" She whispered as Max grabbed her clothes. "Gwendolyn, this isn't up for discussion. When your parents find out they're going to go ballistic" He told her as Gwen shook her head. "Please" She whispered. "Don't tell me parents" She stood up but the doctor pushed her down. "Gwen, I need to tell them" Max told her.

Gwen gulped. "Don't tell them" She demanded but Max shook his head trying to settle her down. "The nearest A.C's just down the road" He told them. Max nodded. "Do you mind keeping an eye on her while I phone her folks" The doctor nodded crossing his arms and watching the girl as she narrowed her eyes at him.
