Gwen sat there miserably in the waiting room as she waited for her dad to come for her. Max sat down next to her keeping a close eye on her just in case she tried to run. "I'm not going to run if that's what you're thinking" She muttered crossing her arms suddenly going into an aggressive state. Max sighed picking up a magazine

"I just want you to get this over and done with okay" He told her still in disbelief about the whole situation. Instantly Frank came through the doors hair in a mess as well as his untidy suit and a brief case in his hands. He looked down at his daughter and instantly hugged her tightly. "When's the operation?" He asked. Max checked his watch.

"I think we're next" He looked over to the doors to see a teenage girl with her mum crying her eyes out. Gwen gulped and turned to her dad. "I don't want to go through with this" She told him but he shook his head. "I'm sorry Gwen, but this is going to happen whether you like it or not" He told her before grabbing her wrist and walking up to the receptionist. She struggled hopelessly before he grabbed her by the waist and picked her up. "Hey," Gwen snapped hitting him in the shoulder and kicking as he ignored her and began speaking to the receptionist in a calm tone. "Room 12? Thankyou mam" He told her about to walk away before the receptionist took his attention. "Do you need a wheelchair sir?" She asked. He turned round. "No, I'm fine" He told him walking through the door.

Gwen sat there uncomfortably as her dad held her hand tightly. She sighed and tried to relax as the doctor came over to her with an I.V. "What's that for?" She asked as he placed it into her arm. "You're father thinks it would be best if you were asleep" The asian man told her as she narrowed her eyes at her dad. "You'll feel better about it" He informed her as she just shook her head before the doctor placed a mask over her mouth.

She coughed lightly as he told her to think of something else. Gwen breathed out as the light began to get darker and darker.

Before long she was awake again. Awake and very uncomfortable. She lifted up the blue blankets to find herself in a blue hospital gown. She attempted to move her legs but felt slightly in pain.

Gwen groaned as she tried to sit up noticing her grandfather no longer by her side as well as her dad. She breathed out exhausted before relaxing back onto the soft paper like pillow. She wanted to get more sleep before her dad came back to annoy her but it was too late. Both Max and her dad had came in an instant making her groan. "Hey, pumpkin" Max brushed her cheek gently.

"Hey" She took his hand looking up into his eyes. "The doctor said you might be in a bit of pain but you're free to go" He told her. Gwen nodded attempting to get up. "Where are we heading next anyway?" She stood up a little wobbly. "You're going home, kiddo" He took her arm before she fell. "What? Why?" She asked. "You're dad thinks its best if you went home with your mum and brother" He whispered grabbing her clothing. "I've placed your stuff in the trunk of your dad's car" Max told her as she passed her clothing. "Get dressed, we'll meet you outside" He kissed her forehead as she sighed. She watched them leave before placing on her blue sweater and her skirt on before leaving the room walking with a slight limp.

Gwen kicked herself mentally as her father drove her home in an unhappy mood. "Are you mad at me?" She asked her voice weak. He frowned not even giving her a glance. "No, Gwen" He breathed out. "I'm mad at your cousin" He added as he drove. Gwen placed a hand up to her stomach feeling sick. He noticed her sudden mood and placed a hand on her shoulder. "the sedative might have some side effects. You might just be feeling a little unwell over what's been going on. Why don't you get some sleep" He suggested. "Dad I'm sorry" She begged him. He sighed removing his hand. "I said I wasn't mad at you Gwen...just..." He cut himself off. "Gwen, please go to sleep or something" He frowned. Gwen breathed out nodding and placing her head on the window watching the scenery pass by as her eyelids eventually slided shut.
