There are a few weeks left in the summer and Roman, the twins, the girls and myself were all planning the party that we were going to have before leaving off to college. We had already sent the word out about the party, not forgetting to mention the time and the location. That also meant a few weeks left to get what I wanted for Leah and plan it out right for her. I had decided to do it all the day before the party, to give her and I chance to have another reason to celebrate.

"How much is this one?" I asked the woman that was there in the store. She pointed to the one that I was referring to, as to make sure that it was the one that I wanted and took it out.

"This one will be about $150." She says as she holds it in her hands. "It's very beautiful and simple."

"And you said it's $150?" I asked as I take it in my hands and look at it myself. It really was simple and a hell of a lot more affordable than what Roman was willing to help me buy. Don't get me wrong, what I had wanted initially was something I knew Leah was going to love. But it was just too much money and I couldn't ask somebody to help me with that kind of money. Especially my best friend.

"Is this something that you're looking for?" The woman asked. "Something that you'd like?"

"This looks nice and it's in my price range." I tell her. "I believe that she'll love this. Leah loves simple and even though she loves fancy things too, she'll never ask for it. Going by what my price range is right now, and what it will be for the forseeable future, can I at least know if you have any left?"

The woman smiled and put it back in the cushion. "Let me check to see if there's more in stock."

She left after putting the object back in the case that she had taken it out of. I looked around, making sure that Leah wasn't around to see me. I wanted this to be a surprise and I want it to go perfectly. But to me, that also meant keeping Leah from knowing anything about it to keep it a surprise.

"Okay, so we definitely have this one in stock." The woman says when she returns with a smile on her face. "Would you like to purchase this?"

"Yes ma'am." I tell her with a smile on my face after a few moments of thinking.

"It's very simple, but the design on it is extremely beautiful." The woman says before going back to get one.

When she came back, she set the object aside and took out the one in the case to look at the information that was on the tag for it. Putting the information in the computer, she then rung me up and had me sign a few papers. After everything was done, she put it in a bag and gave it to me with the reciept.

"Thank you." I tell her as I grab it and put the reciept in the bag. I leave the store and began walking towards the direction of Roman's house. It was after work and I told Leah that I wouldn't be back too late.

It was a 20 minute drive from Roman's house that turned into an almost 45 minute walk from the place and I had a lot of walking to do. I take out my phone and call Roman and Leah to tell them that I'm on my way home and where I was. I've been through this before where I would walk what felt like forever just to get somewhere. This time, I was actually looking forward to getting home because I have a girl waiting for me. A girl who wants to be with me and who makes me that happiest that I've ever been, as cheesy as it may sound.

After about half an hour of walking as quickly as I could, my phone vibrated. I looked to see that it was a text from Leah saying that she missed me and that the news talked about possible showers this evening. Seeing that I didn't have an umbrella, I was lucky enough to be at least 15 minutes away.

Seeing a car pulling up and slowing down beside me, I kept walking thinking that it was somebody that I didn't know trying to get my attention. I put what I got for Leah in my pocket, with it being small enough to fit and on the side where the people in the car wouldn't see it.

"Hey!" Exaclaimed somebody from the car.

I sighed and looked over, not missing a step as I kept walking and saw that it was John with Derek sitting next to him in a black Cadillac Escalade SUV. "Yes?"

"Where you going?" They asked.

"None of your business." I replied and turned my attention elsewhere as I kept walking.

"Get in." Said John as they kept driving beside me.

"Nope." I said in a calm voice, not even looking at them.

"Why not?" They asked, this time from Derek's voice.

I groaned and closed my eyes. "Because I don't trust either one of you so why would I get in the car with you?"

John pulled over and parked the car a few feet ahead of me. Derek had gotten out of the car and stopped in front of me, keeping me from going past him.

"Derek, I know your dad said to get in the car but I'm kindly declining. I don't want any problems." I told him as I looked him straight in the eye, noticing that John had stepped out of the car and was now leaning against Derek's side of the vehicle.

"You declining is a problem." Said Derek as he shoved his hands in his pockets. John just stood there watching everything.

"Look, I'm just trying to get to my friend's house. I'm not looking for any problems." I tell them. "Can you let me pass?"

"I can, but I don't want to." Derek said.

I looked over at John and saw that he was just letting Derek do what he wanted. "What is it that you want from me?"

"We just want to know where Leah is." John said.

My guard immediately went up a hell of a lot higher than it already was at the mention of them wanting to know where she was. "Why is that any of your concern? What do you want from her?"

"The same thing that we've been trying to do since the beginning." Said John. "You could either do it the easy way or the hard way. The easy way would be to simply tell us where she is. I would love to see Derek here win her over and get her all to himself. Or we could do this the hard way."

"And what would the hard way be?" I asked.

"I could beat it out of you." Said Derek. "And he won't do anything to help you. So I suggest you think about it carefully before you give us an answer."

"Seriously, I need to get to my friends house and he's waiting for me to get there." I tell them, knowing that Roman and especially Leah, are going to be worried if I don't get back soon. "Besides, what happened to Vanessa?"

"Don't worry about Vanessa. I'll deal with her, that's why I'm letting Derek keep her." Said John.

In other words, they want Leah to be taken away from me and they didn't bother hiding their intentions. My jaw tightened as I try to walk past Derek, only to be stopped by him.

"I don't want to fight you, Dean." Derek whispered in my ear. "Just do what my dad's telling you."

"And that's the thing, Derek." I tell him. "I got a girl who I want to see and be with. Just let me go. As much as I don't like you and as many times in the past as we have almost fought each other, I'm going to protect Leah. It's my natural instinct to do so. Now, let me pass."

"I guess we're going to have to do this the hard way then, dad." Derek tells John. "What happened to the Dean that's not afraid to fight me or my dad just because of what we do to Leah or what we say to or about her? I don't see that Dean standing in front of me today. A woman really can change a man."

I blink a few times, taking in what he's saying. "Just because I'm refusing to fight, doesn't mean that I won't. I've been in plenty of fights all my life, I'm allowed to refuse one. And so what if a woman changes a man? Leah's changed me for the better and so I have no complaints. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to refuse this fight and go about my business."

My jaw tightens when I see Derek's fist clenches up, as my mind starts filling with what's going to happen next. Derek pushes me and swings, but I duck causing him to miss. I straighten back up and take a swing of my own, feeling my fist connect with his face. It was hard enough for him to stumble back a bit as he grabbed his face in his hands and I took that as my cue to go. Just as I was about to go running, John grabbed my arm and turned me around.

"I don't want to hear it, John!" I exclaimed at him. "When are you going to realize that I'm in love with Leah and I want to spend the rest of my life with her?"

John let me go and glared at me. "You want to spend the rest of your life with her? You can't be more than 18 so what do you know about making that kind of commitment?"

"I know enough to want to make that commitment to her. Don't you dare hurt her just because you want her." I tell him with seriousness in my voice. "I love Leah and I'll be damned if I let anybody hurt her. Stay away from her! If you got a problem with me, don't pull Leah into this."

I quickly walked away and made my way to Roman's house, making sure that they weren't following me. I continued to make sure that her gift remained in my pocket and saw heavy, grey clouds rolling in. It wasn't long until I heard rumbles of thunder and I hoped that the rain would hold off enough to let me get home dry.

*Leah's POV*

"Where's Dean?" I asked Roman when I looked at the time and saw that he wasn't home yet.

"He'll be home, Leah. Don't worry." Roman told me in a reassuring voice. He was trying to calm me down, but it wasn't really helping.

I looked out the window and saw that it was beginning to rain. Checking my phone, I see that he hasn't replied since the last text that he sent when I wrote him saying that it was possible that it was going to rain. That was almost 30 minutes ago and he still wasn't home. I heard the door downstairs and I quickly ran down the stairs to see a soaking wet Dean standing there, trying to take off his shoes to not mess up the carpet. He ran his hands through his wet hair and sighed before looking up.

"Leah." He said happily as he took me in his arms when I ran into them. I didn't care if he was soaking wet. I was just happy that he was home. It felt right being in his arms and I didn't want to leave them.

"You're home. I'm so happy you're home." I tell him before he pulls away and gives me a full kiss when he takes my face in his hands.

We pulled away when we heard someone clear their throat. Roman was there with a smile on his face and a towel in his hand. I felt my cheeks grow warm as I step away while Roman walks up to us. Dean chuckles softly and I know that he has noticed my face.

"I thought you might need this." Roman said as he handed Dean the towel.

After making sure he was okay, Roman let him come over to me. Dean automatically wrapped his arm me and kissed my temple and all I wanted to do was stay in his arms.

"I'm gonna go take a shower and then I'm going to change into some dry clothes, okay?" He asked.

"Okay." I said softly as I watched him go up the stairs with Roman behind him. I pouted, wanting to spend some time with him.

After 15 minutes, Roman came back downstairs and sat down next to me on the couch in the living room. He sat back and watched what I had on the television. Dean didn't come down until almost an hour later and took a seat next to me. I snuggled up to him as he wrapped his arms around me tightly. I took in the scent of his soap and closed my eyes as I rested my head between his chest and my shoulder.

"Do I even have to ask?" I said to Dean, wanting to know why he was late.

"I ran into John and Derek." He said softly. "That's why I was late. They were giving me problems."

"What problems?" I ask as I look up at him.

Dean looked at the television as he softly played with my hair. "They wanted me to tell them where you were. They were making it clear that they want you. Well, Derek. I don't know why though."

"What happened to Vanessa?" Roman asked with a curious look on her face. "How do we know she's not in that little plan?"

"I asked about her and all John said was to not worry about her." Dean replied. "So I really have no idea what role Vanessa has in all of this, if any. The nerve of them though."

Roman went to the kitchen, leaving me and Dean alone in the living room. I stayed quiet as I played with the bottom of Dean's shirt.

"What's wrong?" He asked softly before he kisses my head.

"I was worried, is all." I whisper. "And I didn't know where you were."

I feel Dean's lips against my hair as his fingers softly travel down my back before they move to my side. "I can handle those two."

"I know, but I just want you to be okay." I tell him when I look up at him.

Dean puts his hand on the side of my face with his thumb stroking my cheek. "I'm okay, baby. I'll take good care of myself. I love you too much to let something happen to me."

"Yes and I love you, too." I tell him, wanting to smile at his touch, but keeping a serious face. "But other people may not think about who you have at home, waiting for you. I love you so much, it'll hurt to lose you."

"You're not going to lost me, Leah." He says to me softly. "I promise."

I looked down and felt Dean cup my chin to lift my face up to him. He leaned down and gave me a soft kiss before taking me back in his arms. We stayed like that until it was time to start making dinner. Dean and I went into the kitchen to help Roman since his parents weren't home because they were away on a business trip.

After making dinner, we all sat down at the table to eat and all Roman and Dean did was talk to each other. I tried to get into the conversation, but it was as if they were talking in their own lingo. A part of me understood because they are friends and I don't want to stop them from talking to each other and hanging out and having their guy time and whatnot. But the other part of me was annoyed because I was like a third wheel and I didn't have anyone else here to talk to.

Probably seeing that I was annoyed and quiet as I ate my food, they began making conversation with me. I don't know why, but it's just one of those days where a lot of things can annoy the hell out of you and this was one of those things. I just wanted the night to be over and for tomorrow to start so that we can start fresh and in a good mood with a fresh mindset.

Once dinner was over and done with, I helped cleaning up the plates and the pots and pans that we used before going upstairs to take a shower. A few minutes into it, I heard something in the bathroom and stopped what I was doing to listen. I looked back, seeing as I was facing the water and saw Dean stepping into the shower. I said nothing to him as I turned back around and grabbed the soap that I had for me. It smelled of Lavender and Jasmine with a hint of Vanilla. I was in love with the smell, and used it almost every night.

"You're mad at me." Dean whispers in my ear. I stay quiet for a bit, not responding as he gives my body a few kisses. "What did I do?"

I turned around to look at him as I'm beginning to get covered in soap. "I'm not mad."

"Then what's wrong?" He asks as I touch his nose, getting some soap on it.

"I felt ignored at dinner tonight. And I feel like Roman knows something that I don't and I don't think I like it." I say softly, feeling a bit childish for it. "I know it's probably silly. But...I don't know. I am not going to tell you to stop talking with him because I know that you and him have your own little language together. I don't like being ignored or feeling like I am and I feel silly for feeling that cause I'm not a little kid anymore."

"I'm sorry." Dean says softly as he looks at me before looking down. I take some of the soap and put it on him as he helps me with my back. I feel Dean's lips on my skin, light as a feather, while his hands followed. "How about we take a day for just you and me?"

Looking up into his blue eyes, I search them for more information. "Just you and me?"

"Yeah." Dean replies as his hands rest on my waist. "Ever since we moved back into this house, you've had to share me with Roman and you never complain about it. You just let us be us and have our guy time and I know how much you like when the two of us spend time together because I love when we do. We could take this day so that you can have my undivided attention and it's just me and my girl. We can do whatever you want."

"What if I just want to stay in bed all day and watch movies?" I ask curiously.

"Then we'll do that. We'll stay in bed all day and watch movies." Dean replies. "It's going to be a day with just you and me, doing whatever you want."

I nuzzle the space in where his neck and his shoulder meet before kissing it softly. We showered for a few more minutes before getting out and walking to our room. Dean stops me when we get to the bedroom and he takes my face in his hands as he gives me a full kiss. I return the kiss, placing my hands on his sides, feeling his skin underneath my fingers.

The kiss became deeper and more passionate as I felt Dean's hands move down until he got to my towel, unwrapping it from my body. His hands then continued down, along with his body as he then picked me up and gently laid me down in bed. Going to the door, I heard Roman's footsteps coming and saw that Dean had quickly closed the door, leaving only a crack open as he and Roman said their good nights.

Closing the door completely, Dean came back to me and got in bed as he towered over me. He kissed me again on my lips, pulling at my bottom lip when he pulled away. Running my hands through his wet hair, Dean's warm hands took their time covering every inch of my body while his lips occasionally found their way to my body. Hearing rumbles of thunder, I knew that it was either still raining, or about to begin again.

I turn Dean around so that he can lay down and I straddle him. My lips softly kiss his skin as I make my way down his body and then back up to his lips. I moan softly when I feel his hands move down my back and to my thighs. Dean squeezes them gently and brings his hands back up. Finding my hair clip, Dean takes it off, allowing my hair to fall and cascade down my back when I sit up. Leaning down again, our lips find each others for another kiss that turns passionate again.

"You look beautiful." Dean whispers against my lips.

I slightly pull away and look into his blue eyes as he looks into mine, sending shivers down my back. My finger traces his lips before I kiss him again. Dean turns me around so that he is towering over me again. He gets out of bed to take off the shorts that he put on after our shower, and revealing his full and thick erection. He gets back into bed as the lights from the night and cloudy sky, shine in through the curtain covered windows.

Pulling the covers up to his waist, I feel him settling in between my legs after gently pulling them apart. The both of us moan when he slowly enters me and allows me to adjust. A few moments later, his body begins to move slowly before getting into a steady pace. Pleasure begins to fill both of our bodies as we move as one. Soft moans escape my lips as my nails dig into his back. Dean kisses me passionately before his lips move to my neck where he begins to suckle on a part of my skin. He groans against my skin in pleasure as he continues to move inside of me. I arch my back into him, wanting more of him and he gives it to me.

"Dean." I moan softly in his ear as I tugged on his hair, making him groan in pleasure.

His hands and arms snake around me as grips onto my legs before getting to the rest of my body. The pleasure that was in my body was beginning to reach a climax and I knew that I was getting close. My nails dug into his back once more, slightly scratching his back moments before I release myself around his erection as I moan out in pleasure. Dean kept thrusting himself into me until a few moments later when he let out a groan as he released himself deep inside of me.

Dean collapsed on top of me and nuzzled my neck when he dug his face into it. The both of us stayed that way until we both caught our breathes. He hesitantly pulled out, but stayed on top of me. Pulling himself up, I took his face in my hands and we shared a few kisses before he laid down next to me and took me in his arms. We made love for a few more hours before finally asleep in each other's arms.

The next day...

"I'll see you after work." I tell Dean when we reach the store in the mall that I worked in.

"Okay, I'll see you later. Have a good day at work." Dean says as he kept my hand in his while our fingers remained interlocked.

I smile up at him and nod. "I will. You too, okay?"

"I will." Dean replies with the cutest smile as we share a kiss. "I love you, Leah."

"I love you, too Dean." I reply with another kiss that followed it.

Going into the store, I greeted some of my coworkers and went to the back to clock in to begin my day. As I came out to the front, my supervisor greeted me and came up to me as well.

"Before you came in, there was somebody that came in asking for you." She tells me.

"Somebody asked for me?" I asked, confused. "Did they say who they were?"

"It was a woman and she said that her name was Tina Lopez." My supervisor said.

My heart dropped down into my stomach as I heard the name. "Tina Lopez? The only people who I've told where I work is my boyfriend and our mutual friends. Are you sure she was asking for me?"

"Yes. You're the only Leah that works in this store. Unless there is another Leah that works at a different store and she confused you and that person." She told me. "Do you know her? I know you have only a few weeks left of working here before you go off to college, but would you like for me to tell her to not come back if she comes again?"

"Can I think about it and get back to you on it?" I ask. "The name sounds familiar, but I can't wrap my head around it."

"Sure, just let me know. I don't want any problems and I want you to be safe." My supervisor says before letting me get to work.

The truth was that I didn't have to think twice about the name because I already knew who it was. Tina Lopez is my mother. The same one who didn't defend me when I told her about John. The same woman who watched my pack my things and leave the house, and didn't stop me. How did she know where I worked? Why would she even bother with me after all this time? There was so many questions, but I didn't know if seeing her again was a good idea. I didn't trust that woman, even though she's my mother.

A/N: What did you think about the whole situation with Dean, Derek and John? Are you surprised that Dean refused to fight? Are you glad that he didn't fight them and that he didn't tell them where Leah was? What about Leah's mother finding out where she works and coming to look for her? Do you think that was a good idea and what could her reason be for doing so? Would it be a good idea for Leah to go talk to her?
