Operation Clean Sweep

September 7th, Hogwarts

Draco was sitting by Amy as she woke, finishing a transfiguration book as she yawned. He was slightly startled when a "Hello Draco" came his way, and he turned to face her. She looked as if nothing had happened. She looked down, and then looked at Draco, then down again. "How did I get here?" She asked, and he decided to tell her what happened, minus the bit with his potion. She sighed, and asked the time. At that point, Pomfrey came in.

"Ah Ms Bartlet is finally awake. We had quite the worry." She said, before looking at Draco. "You were meant to get me when she woke Mr Malfoy, but no matter." She started casting spells at Amy, before smiling. "Well, looks like your good to go Ms Bartlet. Eat plenty." She said, before walking back into her office.

"After all the worry, all she says is eat plenty." Amy scoffed, before turning back to Draco. "Wait outside for me Draco, I'm going to get dressed, and then we will head to breakfast." Draco nodded, and headed out.

"Okay boys; now let's go over the plan." Andrew said, looking at his five teammates. "Just before lunch begins, we head for the location known as the Shrieking Shack. This leads out to a hole in the wards where we can slip through."

"I stay down there, in order to keep the whomping willow in the grounds docile, while you four go ahead to the castle." Williams said. Andrew nodded and continued.

"We should enter the grounds as the students sit down for dinner. Henderson and Jackson will follow me to provide a distraction and collect Amelia."

"Meanwhile, Katie and I will head on down towards the dungeons and meet Severus Snape, who will allow us entry to the dorm room to collect her things."

"Finally, as Martin and Katie arrive, we take our leave, moving back out through the tunnel, with Amelia going first, and me last. We then take our portkey back to the Ministry in Washington. If there is no one trying t challenge us, then we leave via the gate. Any questions?" Andrew asked as he wrapped up. "Good, we leave for Hogsmeade in three and half hours. Stay close."

Snape looked down at the letter in front of him, telling him what was going to happen. Although he didn't want to do this, it was clearly the best thing for Amy. He didn't know what had gotten into Lily to make her act like this, but it was useless trying to stop her, so he took away the cause. He had also promised himself to look after Amy, and he would. That was what all this was about. He sighed, and walked out to teach his potions class. God knows what those Weasley twins would do next.

As Draco and Amelia entered Transfiguration, her phone vibrated in her robe pocket. She took it out and opened it.

Hi darling

Expect visitors at high noon

Dad

Amy looked at this, and then rolled her eyes at the random fact given to her at the end. He had told her that years ago, probably didn't matter to him though. "What's high noon?" Draco asked from next to her.

"It's not polite to read over someone's shoulder."

"It's also not polite to not answer my question."

"Yes, I have to answer your questions, but you don't answer mine."

"Absolutely, I'm a Malfoy."

"And Malfoy's always get what they want." Amy said, sneering with her nose in the air.

"Absolutely, now answer my question."

"Well, clearly someone is coming at lunch, so I assume dad is overreacting."

"Lunch is always more interesting with you around."

"Of course it is, you see, I'm too important to have a boring lunch." Amy said.

"Ms Bartlet and Mr Malfoy ten points for not paying attention." McGonagall said, and both quietened immediately.

Another boring transfiguration lesson later, Amy and Draco found themselves heading for herbology. "I hate herbology." Draco moaned

"Only because you have to do something."

"Yeah well," Draco said but was cut off by someone shouting at them.

"Look, its Amelia Barflet." Weasley shouted, and most of Gryffindor laughed.

"Better than being a poor weasel." She said back. Weasley tensed up.

"You better take that back." Amelia adopted a thoughtful face.

"Should I take my comment back?" She asked herself, then looked at Weasley. "No" Ron charged, straight into Professor Sprout as Amelia sidestepped. Sprout fell, straight into the plants she was going to show to them. She stood up and looked at Weasley.

"50 points from Gryffindor and a week's detention Mr Weasley, starting now. As for the rest of you the lesson is ruined so off you go." The class started to disperse as Ron was dragged by the ear into the greenhouse.

"Lucky you Draco."

"The one time he does something useful." Draco said, as he and Amy headed to the library.

Andrew couldn't help but look at the time on the clock. The time seemed to pass so slowly. It was 11:26 and he just couldn't sit still. He decided to move around a little, but before he could, someone spoke to him. "Hello Andrew."

"Lucius." Andrew replied, not having to turn around.

"Why are you here?" Lucius asked, and now Andrew did stand and turn around.

"That is confidential information Lucius."

"Indeed. Why are treating me so coldly?"

"You failed to uphold your end."

"Not so, there is a meeting scheduled for,"

"Well cancel it, I have a feeling it won't do you much good." At that point, the clock struck half past, and he walked away to his men at the far side, next to the floos. "Okay guys, Operation Clean Sweep is a go." Before Lucius could get to them, they had disappeared.

September 7th, Hogsmeade

Andrew's team were assembled inside the Three Broomsticks. As soon as they confirmed they were ready, they moved quickly out of the pub, and down the street towards the Shrieking Shack. "Well, whoever left the door open did a good job." Andrew said. The door to the Shrieking Shack was now missing completely. "Remind me to reprimand whoever left it obvious that someone was here." Andrew said, shaking his head, before leading the team inside. They went down the stairs, and found the tunnel. "Well, anyone want to back out now?" Andrew asked. They didn't even move. "Right then, let's go." And they climbed in.

12:00 saw four American Aurors coming out from under the Whomping Willow. They had known it was a long crawl, but to spend half an hour crawling one way, damn the scout was dedicated. "Williams, give us fifteen. If we are not back by then, or we haven't told you that we are leaving through the gate, leave and get back-up."

"Yes sir." Williams said, as he popped his head back into the tunnel. Andrew rubbed the dirt off his cloak,

"Okay guys, move out and stay frosty."

As they approached the Great Hall, Martin and Katie left for the dungeons, with Severus Snape who had met them outside, knowing of their arrival. As they left, Andrew approached the doors, and pushed them open. "Good afternoon Hogwarts." He said cheerfully. He looked at the head table, and saw most of the teachers with their wands out, except one teacher with a silly turban on his head.

"Who are you and what do you want?" A man who Andrew assumed to be Dumbledore asked.

"I am Andrew Malfoy, Deputy Head of the American Aurors, and we are here for Ms Amelia Bartlet."

"You have no right to be here Mr Malfoy; I kindly ask that you leave the premises."

"My team and I will not leave until we have Ms Bartlet and her things." As he said this, he saw Snape walk in, who gave an almost imperceptible nod in his direction, before drawing his wand and aiming it at him.

"Perhaps we could discuss this in my office, and then we could,"

"There is nothing to discuss Headmaster We have our orders, and he has his reasons, which he is explaining to you now." At that point, an owl flew in and dropped a letter in front of Dumbledore, who had a feeling that he knew what was inside it.

"I must insist that you leave." Dumbledore said, his eyes no longer twinkling. No one noticed Amelia stand up.

"Write to me Draco." she whispered to him, before making her way towards the exit.

"Dumbledore, we will not leave until we have what we came for." Andrew said. He kept his eyes on Dumbledore as Henderson spoke in his ear.

"Martin and Katie are here sir." Andrew nodded, then looked to the Slytherin table, where he saw Amelia walking towards him.

"Quickly Amelia, we need to go." He said, and all eyes turned to her.

"I need my things Mr Malfoy." Amelia said hesitantly.

"Already done." he said, and pointed at Martin and Katie behind him. She nodded, and went to check that they had everything.

"Goodbye Dumbledore." Malfoy said and after making sure that Amy was ready, they left. He nodded at Henderson, who put his hand to his ear.

"No resistance, meet us at the gate." he said.

As they reached the gate, Amelia turned to them. "Why did you get me out? I was fine there."

"Ms Bartlet, your father is worried. You have your guards taken away and then you're poisoned. Your potions master thought there was someone out to get you. Put that with no official information from the school, and you have this." He said, handing her a portkey as they stepped through the gates. It was a small tree air freshener. She shook her head at the randomness. "Are you ready?" Andrew asked. She nodded, and they were taken to the American Ministry.
