I'm not very good at updating am I? Well, SORRY! I just came up with a huge elaborate idea for this story! I can't tell you though, you'll have to wait! I'm not very good at these beginning things or whatever you call them. Let's just start….NOW!

Ch. 6

(Pepper's POV)

After a lot of sitting around and doing nothing, I tried to come up with some humor. It was hard because there was nothing near being funny where I was at. Here is my very suckish list:

The irony in that I was given an Iron Man puzzle (get it Ironman, Ironic, not ironic is it? Oh well, It got a few forced laughs.)

When I had taken a crocheting and knitting class I thought it would never be important, well now I knitted a tiny blanket out of a tiny ball of yarn every day. Then I took it apart and made a new blanket. EVERY SINGLE DAY!

That I had actually found something funny about my given situation.

The screams that I heard earlier turned out to be another woman who was imprisoned right next to me. Apparently the "Boss" wanted something from her too. I once read a passage in a magazine saying that children who are sent to their rooms for long periods of time actually can develop depression. What I really learned from that passage was that being in this tiny room with no one to talk to will eventually make me a severely depressed woman.

"WHY!? Why? w-why?" I heard through the wall followed by continued sobs.

I felt very terrible that I could not help her, and she could not help me. Who would do this to two (probably) perfectly innocent women? As I finish complaining to myself, I try to snuggle up with the tiny blanket. I sing my song, the song I grew up with, to try to push the tears away.

"I'd like to teach the world to sing, in perfect harmony"

I was able to mutter out before I started to cry. I heard shifting from the other room, I was so stupid, that woman could hear me crying, and singing, and moving. I felt so embarrassed. Then I heard something.

"A song of peace that echoes on and never goes away" I heard sung from the other side of the wall.

A huge smile crossed my face and I continued singing.

"I'd like to see the world for once all standing hand in hand" I sung, hoping she knew the next line.

"And hear them echo through the hills for peace throughout the land" she sang in reply.

It turns out; she knew the whole song, just as I did. We continued singing to each other until we fell asleep.

The next morning I was roughly hauled to my feet and pushed into another room. The light was blindingly bright compared to the tiny light bulb in my cell.

"Have a seat, Pepper" I heard as I tried to regain my vision.

I was in a room that was very bare except for a desk and two chairs. I sat in one across from the man who was talking to me.

The man was pretty short, but very muscular and large. I noticed that he was wearing a shirt that had a black mustang on it, but it was pulled tight so I could see his muscles. Not that I cared to look though, Tony's would always be more impressive to me, but I decided not to try the fighting option.

"I've brought you here to answer my questions, if you do, and answer them to my delight, you will be set free. If not, you will stay. Do you understand?"

"Who are you? And why did you take me?" I asked in frustration.

"That is not important, what is important is that you answer my questions." He stated.

"You may call me Boss. Let's get started alright? First question, what are the Avengers planning to do about the recent attacks?"

"Well first off, I HAVE BEEN HERE THE WHOLE TIME! How am I supposed to know anything about recent attacks?!" I yelled in aggravation.

"Well there was one attack you should remember, the one where a man kidnapped Tony Stark's darling little lady." He said.

"LET ME OUT OF HERE! I DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE GOING TO DO! I'm not in the Avengers you jerk!" Ugg, he was really getting on my nerves!

"That's enough Ms. Potts! Red! Take her out of here! And put her in room 3 will ya?"

A large man came in with ketchup stains on his shirt, Red. He yanked me from the chair and pushed me down the hallway. He shoved me into a room, it wasn't my room. I fell down on the ground, and watched as he shut the door. This room was slightly bigger with a brighter light bulb and a ceiling fan. It even had a window! But it was barred and I could only see a house through it. I looked around the room, there was someone crouching in the corner.

"Hello?" I stammered.

"Pepper? Is that you?!"

The figure came away from the dark corner. She looked exhausted and hurt, but she was able to give me a smile. There was something oddly familiar about her though. She had long brown hair and a thin face with large blue eyes.

"It's me! Rena! Do you know who I am?" the woman said.

"Not really….WAIT! Are you Rena Garger?" I guessed.

"YES! I'm dating Steve! Steve Rodgers! Tony told me all about you when he came to visit."

"Wow! Really? How did you get here?" I said as if we were just having a girly outing.

"Some guys came to my house saying they had an injured dog and needed help, of course I couldn't help but to go and see it. They took me to their van to show me the dog, but they pushed me in and tied me up. They brought me here yesterday, hey! Were you the one singing last night?" Rena said.

"Yes, was that you that was singing back?"

"um.. yea, sorry I'm not very good."

"Oh don't worry! You were great, that really helped me last night."

"Really? My sibling always teased me about my voice, I'm glad you like it. Wait, how did you get here?"

I told her my tale and we settled down with the box of stuff she was given to do. There was checkers, which she didn't play because there was only her, a stuffed duck, and a book called "Betrayed by Home" by some lady named Tang Roomrang. It turned out to be pretty good, I'm a fast reader and it was so good to have something to do and someone to talk to.

After it got dark (I was so happy! I could see the time of day now!) We collapsed on top of our sweatshirts and my scrawny blanket that was thrown into the room.

I was so glad to have Rena there.

Thanks for reading! Please review and favorite! Also, Betrayed by Home is actually a real story here on fanfic! It's by awesomekittycat, and it's really good! Don't Die!
